Our planet has had millions of years to create its masterpieces, and it seems that it worked pretty hard. The Earth is rich with magnificent places — completely natural or ’improved’ by humans, they fascinate us and make us eager to travel and see everything ourselves. Our world is wonderful, and today, we'll tell you about some rare places that are extremely clean.

Have you ever been to India? The river in Dawki is a kayaker’s dream. It’s emerald and so transparent you can see all the way to the bottom: bright pebbles, stones, and fish…the colorful fishing boats seem to be floating on glass! Blue Lake in New Zealand is one of the world’s clearest lakes. It’s basically like looking at distilled water, you can even see blue-violet shades in it. And the Southern Ocean near Antarctica has the cleanest air in the world!

00:00The marble caves in Chile are one of the most far-off natural wonders of the world.
00:06The cathedral, the chapel, and the cave are the three main attractions.
00:10They're a group of black and white caverns, columns, and tunnels made of marble.
00:15Waves have been shaping them over thousands of years, and they're still going strong.
00:19The caves and turquoise water waves team up to make a sweet light show.
00:23When summer starts, an ordinary-looking river in Colombia transforms into a liquid rainbow.
00:31Caño Cristales, also known as the most beautiful river in the world, sparkles in five colors.
00:37Red, black, green, blue, and yellow.
00:40It only looks like this for six months a year because of the special underwater plant that makes all those colors.
00:46It needs the perfect amount of sunshine and water to work its magic.
00:50The river in Daki, India, is a kayaker's dream.
00:55It's emerald and so transparent, you can see all the way to the bottom.
00:59Bright pebbles, stones, and fish.
01:01The colorful fishing boats seem to be floating on glass.
01:05The only sounds you can hear are the swirling of the river and the occasional bird flying past.
01:11One of the cleanest villages in the world isn't far from the Emerald River.
01:15It has three street cleaners who work every day, even in heavy rain.
01:20The locals plant flowers and bushes all over the village, and cars aren't allowed.
01:25The parking fee for tourists is used to pay for more street cleaning.
01:29The cost of littering? A fine or even jail.
01:33Blue Lake in New Zealand is one of the world's clearest lakes.
01:37It's basically like looking at distilled water.
01:40You can even see blue-violet shades in it, which is super rare.
01:44The water comes from its neighbor, an icy glacier lake.
01:48The local Maori people don't let you swim there.
01:50You can't even dip your toes in.
01:52They believe the lake has special powers.
01:56Luskintar Beach is an endless stretch of white sand dunes and perfect blue water.
02:01But don't let the tropical vibe fool you.
02:04It's in Scotland.
02:05That's why it only looks nice in May and June.
02:08In December, the place only gets an hour of sunshine per day, so it looks pretty bleak.
02:14Five-hour lake in China's Jusigao Valley changes from yellow to emerald green,
02:20dark jade to light turquoise, and sometimes even coral color, which I didn't even know existed.
02:26It never freezes thanks to underwater hot springs and never dries up like some of its neighbors.
02:32The local legend is that it's made up of pieces of a mirror that fell from the sky.
02:39The surrounding valley has some of those classic hills with above-ground caves in them,
02:43spectacular waterfalls, around 140 different birds,
02:47and a couple of giant pandas and other endangered plants and animals.
02:52The Southern Ocean near Antarctica has the cleanest air in the world.
02:57It's so clear, scientists could barely find any DNA in it to analyze,
03:02just some random marine bacteria.
03:05Antarctica itself is 99% ice and has mind-blowing blue glaciers,
03:10active volcanoes, and the best views of crispy, clean snow anywhere in the world.
03:16Mount Haleakala in Hawaii is one of the quietest places in the world.
03:22Rangers there often measure exactly zero sound.
03:25Its name in Hawaiian means House of the Sun.
03:30It was formed thanks to a 1 million-year-old volcano.
03:34Lava built up over the years and grew into a mountain.
03:37It has its own climate and weather that's almost impossible to predict.
03:42Now, it takes almost a week by shift to travel from South Africa
03:46to the world's most isolated settlement,
03:49Edinburgh of the Seven Seas.
03:51Great name alert.
03:52You need special local government permission to visit.
03:55The roughly 300 locals all treat each other as family,
03:59grow their own food, and keep their island impeccably clean.
04:04Daintree Forest in Australia is the oldest rainforest in the world.
04:08It's been around for over 100 million years,
04:11and it's home to 12,000 types of insects
04:14and about 90% of Australia's butterfly and bat population.
04:18It's also home to about 3,000 different kinds of plants.
04:23The Bazarudo Archipelago in the Indian Ocean has crystal white sands
04:28and unspoiled coral reefs and almost no tourists.
04:32It's an official marine reserve, so commercial fishing is off-limits.
04:36You can still see fishermen in traditional old boats, though.
04:40That's why the corals are still in perfect condition.
04:43Bazarudo is also home to some of the last remaining sea cows.
04:48A mysterious emerald bamboo grove is located a short train ride away from Kyoto.
04:54It's like a portal into another universe.
04:57The creaking and rustling sounds make it one of the top 100 soundscapes in Japan.
05:03Local artists make baskets, coasters, and chopstick rests all out of bamboo.
05:09The Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia
05:13is famous for its 1,000-year-old cedars, mossy waterfalls,
05:17water the color of granite, and crystal-clear streams.
05:20It's home to the rare cream-colored Kermode bear, also known as Spirit Bear.
05:26Add some Sitka deer, coastal gray wolves, cougars, mountain goats,
05:31orcas, salmon, sea lions, sea otters, humpback whales…
05:35Um, you get the picture.
05:37The secret of the candy floss pink sand beach in Barbuda
05:41is that it's made of crushed corals with tiny single-celled red things living beneath.
05:47You can see the famous pink shade when the waves are strong enough.
05:50This place doesn't have any public facilities,
05:53so it's much less crowded than other Caribbean islands,
05:56and that's why it's so clean.
05:59Now, it took thousands of years to form the Piccaninny Ponds in Australia.
06:04Underground water crept slowly up to the surface through all that limestone.
06:09It formed a large underwater cavern with amazing white walls.
06:13You need a special permit to dive there, but it's definitely worth it.
06:17Lapland in Finland has some of the cleanest air in the world.
06:22It also has those spectacular northern lights, snow-smothered trees, and endless white landscapes.
06:29The first humans arrived here around 7,000 years ago.
06:33They were mostly reindeer herders, and now there are more reindeer than there are people.
06:38And reindeer don't exactly pollute.
06:40The Plevisa Lakes National Park is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Croatia.
06:47It has 16 clear and colorful lakes, all connected by waterfalls.
06:52Deer, bears, wolves, boars, and rare birds roam around enjoying the unspoiled nature.
06:58It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so they gotta keep it clean.
07:0460 million years ago, a big and angry volcano woke up in present-day Northern Ireland.
07:11It spat out a bunch of molten basalt, a special type of lava.
07:15It cooled and turned into 40,000 interlocking stepping stones leading down to the sea.
07:21Local legend says they're so perfectly shaped because they were made by an Irish giant.
07:26He had to build a road into the sea to get to his foe in Scotland.
07:31Badabi Sirte in northern Iran has some unique travertine terraces, basically an epic staircase.
07:38It took thousands of years to form.
07:41Two different mineral hot springs flow downhill, leaving behind a jelly-like goo.
07:46It shaped the slope into a staircase when the water cooled.
07:50And the springs are still active.
07:51One has healing properties, the other shoots out dust that turns the water orange.
07:57When the sun comes out, it turns everything red, orange, and yellow.
08:02Bolivia's salty Laguna Colorado is a real magnet for worldly photographers.
08:07It gets its crimson-red color from algae and rich minerals in the water.
08:11It's surrounded by high-altitude desert plain, volcanoes, boiling mud, drifting snow, and weirdly-shaped rocks.
08:19It's home to three of the world's six species of flamingo that come here for their fill of plankton.
08:25Flamingos are actually born white but turn pink because of all that red algae.
08:30The Enchanted River is one of the most pristine, hidden, natural gems of the Philippines.
08:35It's tucked in behind some mountains, and no one really knows where the water comes from.
08:41There are loads of colorful fish swimming around, but where do they come from?
08:45Where do they go?
08:46Nobody knows.
08:48The river looks shallow, but no one's ever managed to measure how deep it is.
08:53Only a few thrill-seeking tourists visit this mysterious river to dive into its caves.
08:59Pangong Lake in the Himalayas is the world's highest saltwater lake.
09:03It has no aquatic life because of its saltiness, but it's a perfect place for bird watching.
09:09When it's a little warmer, the lake's constantly changing colors between blue, green, and even red.
09:15In the winter, it's pretty much ice.
