00:17Greetings, comrades of Telesur.
00:20From here in China, I came to inform that in this country,
00:24the authorities have identified a series of cyberattacks from the United States against the National Service Center,
00:34in charge of generating and maintaining standard time in Beijing.
00:40According to these investigations, the attacks began in 2022 and continue until 2024.
00:49Among these responsibilities would be the NSA, the National Security Agents of the United States,
00:59in charge of electronic surveillance across the global world.
01:04They managed to enter the center system without permission,
01:09and to avoid detection, they used false certificates.
01:14These attacks, classified as APT, or Advanced Persistent Threats,
01:21sophisticated and prolonged intrusions designed to remain within a system for months,
01:28without being detected.
01:31Its objective was very clear, was to steal sensitive information or prepare strategic sabotage.
01:40The National Time Service Center provides high-precision services for communication, finance, and electricity.
01:50It's also essential for transport, defense, and by calculating the official time that serves as a global reference.
02:00NOAA's universal coordinated time is used by all watches and time systems on the planet.
02:08Due to its strategic nature, any change in these systems on the ground affects China,
02:17which could generate failures in international networks, financial interruptions and transport problems,
02:26and complications even in space losses.
02:30After discovering the attack, the Chinese government strengthened the security of the center,
02:39and updated all its protocols.
02:43With this measure, it managed to neutralize intrusion,
02:48protect the stability of the country's official times,
02:52and contribute to the global security.
