00:30What a start by Hamilton, what a shocker by Webber, up the hill they go, flying through there, are they all flat through O'Rouge with full tanks.
00:43Webber then looks like he's gone up and running now, there's a yellow in Sector 1, so something's going on down there, and Kubica fancies a run, he's caught up between the two McLarens, and look at the Force India steaming in, just keeps away from the back of the Ferrari, and Webber goes around the outside.
01:00Sutil almost into the back there, you've got Rubens Barrichello right behind Fernando Alonso, he's up into 8th place already, Jenson Button, Harry and Kubica, who almost got on the outside there of Lewis Hamilton, it's F-Duck McLaren, F-Duck for the Renault for the first time this season in race trim, likewise Jenson Button, who's had F-Duck with Lewis Hamilton off-season so far, they've got it working absolutely to perfection, yellow flags are out, now why is that I wonder?
01:26Turn in Sector 5 somewhere, and Michael Schumacher then is up to 17th at the moment, from 21st on the grid, and plenty of action down the field, good driving on this first lap, a lot of side-by-side, but perfect for McLaren, they're 1-3, Red Bull 4-6, it was important though, that Webber cleared Adrian Sutil, and gets himself on the back of Felipe Massa.
01:48Felipe Massa had to do that, what a shocker there for Mark Webber, now there just seemed just a bit of rain there on the camera, with Sebastian Vettel as we go through Blanchiment, 180, 190 miles an hour, this is just what McLaren would have wanted, it's the one man that Mark Webber was concerned about, here comes Buttons on the inside of Kubica, has he just did right?
02:05They've both got a fact, they've all going off, that's because of the conditions, they've all got to make sure, that they get to trouble, there's a problem there, that's Barrichello into Alonso, Alonso could be out, or is he managed to keep going?
02:15He is, but Barrichello in his 300th race has stopped, and there is a virgin car getting into out of sorts, so drama there at the bus stop chicane.
02:24Better left to third, but Button takes it straight back, and then shoves him on the artificial grass on the outside.
02:29Still, we haven't had anything from the stewards about the fact that Massa wasn't in his grid box, at the start, run a little bit wide there, and Kubica's gone through there, and this could be a chance for Jenson Button, and it is, Button is passed, Vettel goes off onto the grass, and that could have lost him control as well, has he managed to get ahead of Kubica, no he hasn't, that lost him there, it's now McLaren 1-2, extraordinary.
02:47It is again, which is where, I think this is the, yes, this is the end of the first lap, Martin, when so many of them were caught out by the rain, and they did cut the chicane, now what are we going to say about that?
02:57Well, Rubens, I think because of the wet track, they'll be fine, Rubens has locked his front wheels up, and steamed into the bag, this is Rubens, he's all locked up, and Fernando there was really making the corner quite well, but Rubens just couldn't slow down, couldn't find any purchase from the tarmac.
03:16Went down to Mark Webber at the start though, Martin, because that was a desperate start, when he needed to launch away against the likes of Hamilton and Bucky.
03:22It looks to me like he went into anti-stall, straight off the grid, he bogged down, just anti-stall, and didn't really get going until halfway down the hill.
03:30Absolute age, and...
03:30Yeah, went into anti-stall, just cut, pulls the clutch in, oh no, well, he's still in the race, and he's fifth at the moment.
03:40Teammate's just behind him, he's running a very, very wide line there, but Norbert's twitching through, and in comes Vettel, Vettel's got through on the inside there of Kubica.
03:48This is button territory, there's no doubt about it, Jenson has a touch and a feel, usually in these conditions, and that's putting him right on the tail of Lewis Hamilton, but McLaren 1-2 then, Vettel up to third.
03:59Look at Lewis Hamilton, suddenly turning in an absolutely blistering time, 1 minute 53 on lap 5, fastest lap by some margin, more than a second quicker than his teammate, everything has went, now here we are at second, Yamamoto, well, the centre has gone just spinning that out, that was down at, just at Stavlo, I think there was it.
04:18Hamilton in a class of one out there at the moment, so this is Alonso then on his fresh slicks, coming through the back of the pack, that's the sort of speed difference, straight line speed difference, against the Virgin, picking up the slipstream, and now he's nailing down the pit straight.
04:37This is Alonso, coming up behind Petr de la Rosa, Ferrari engine cars, and sweetly passed his fellow countrymen, and he's going to have a little bit of a look at Jano Trulli, is he?
04:50Rosberg is just now having to fend off Petrov, he's made a great move on the outside, what a great pass there by Petrov, but can he stick it stick?
04:56Rosberg runs a little bit wide there, Schumacher's hunting too, and he's got past his teammate, so, oh, they've come together, Schumacher there has, I think, knocked the front end.
05:04Plenty of grip around the outside of Lecun, you'd have to say, when Nico sees that back, he'll regret braking so early.
05:13Here we come to see Michael Schumacher, just there, so there's the front, left there, there we go.
05:18Alonso then blocked off and turning in, he's got one, he's going to shove, he's going to shove it right to the outside, fair enough.
05:25I've heard a talk there from Rocky, Sebastian Vettel's race engineer, the race, oh, there's a run there, Vettel has lost it there on Jenson Button, and that's gone.
05:32Now, can Vettel hold this together? That was the rain already, the drizzle was coming, and two championship contenders are really in the wars.
05:39And he knows, might just fix it, but I'm sure Button's out of the race, so, it is spitting the rain, so, now he's going to change, that's it, he's on the change of direction.
05:50And just enough water on the track, gap in the traffic, and poor old Jenson, minding his own business.
05:57Just got worse for Sebastian Vettel, drive through in Hungary, round 12, and now round 13, he's unlucky again, in the sunshine, he's, look at the way he's going up this hill.
06:06Look at this, ha, Sutil, alongside Michael Schumacher, and thank you very much.
06:11Vettel coming through the inside of Liuzzi, and he got that one right, what, oh, no, he didn't.
06:16He's going slowly as well, I think he might have a left rear puncture.
06:19Lewis Hamilton is very cagely through Le Quombe.
06:24Down heavier and heavier.
06:28OK, understood, Lewis, we don't want to jump too early in case the rain doesn't get any worse.
06:32Interesting to see that Hamilton's gone off, Lewis Hamilton's gone off, Sutil, Schumacher, and Kobayashi into the bits, and Hamilton's gone off, it's gone wrong.
06:40No, he's going to get back on, it's OK, and he'll still be in the lead, but they have to go to Inter's, they can't risk falling off the road.
06:47He's overshot his pit, so that'll put Weber in second place, I'm sure of it.
06:52And here we go, this is all about Robert Kubica's fault, I'm afraid.
06:55There we can see Nico Hülkenberg.
06:57He can't keep it on the road, hardly.
06:58And that was Alonso you thought was, um...
07:04There is Hülkenberg, that's what happened to him, he's gone spinning round, that's why there's problems, so...
07:08Fittles on the right tyre now!
07:10That's Alonso, Teddy's just gone spinning, Alonso has gone spinning on the Intermediate, and he's stuck in the middle of the track.
07:17Now, can he get it going again? He's looking a little ill at ease there in the cockpit.
07:20There might be a safety car.
07:21Doubt, that's Alonso has gone as well, another Championship contender, fails to score point.
07:26So, this is Malmedy, the right-hander.
07:31He's gone wide.
07:33Whoa!
07:34Exactly what I did in a McLaren.
07:37And, uh, just...
07:38Three times or just twice?
07:40Well, it's, uh...
07:41It was enough.
07:42It just got out, right out onto the grass.
07:44Weber in second, Hamilton in first.
07:48They make their way up to last source, careful, nothing too silly.
07:51Knowing almost in the middle.
07:52And there's Schumacher versus Rosberg.
07:54And that's for position.
07:56Oh, and Schumacher's lost out there.
07:57He returned the compliment, didn't he?
07:59He did, he's dropped back.
08:00He's also now at the fray of Kamui Kobayashi.
08:04He's so...
08:05Have no invitation to come through there.
08:07An impossible weekend with a nine-engine.
08:10Oh!
08:10And, uh, a replay then of De La Rosa running through the gravel at what I think is the first part of Stavolo.
08:18But Lewis Hamilton could get a full 25.
08:20Giving those white lines and painted curves of wide berth.
08:26Even though there's more of a sandy paint put on them these days, they're still lethal in these conditions.
08:34Very distinct exhaust note on liftoff of the McLaren.
08:38Kubica will be satisfied with third.
08:43Mark Webber, I think, will be relieved by second after that difficult start where the car just didn't get away.
08:48I think kicked into anti-stall and then he had to kind of get it going again.
08:52A mixture of relief and frustration, I don't know, because this was a chance.
08:56So, yes, he knew he was up against it because the fans seemingly much more competitive.
09:01No points for Vettel.
09:02No points for Alonso.
09:03No points for Jenson Button.
09:07But Robert Kubica scoring heavily once more for Renault.
09:12The F-Duck working.
09:13What can it produce at Monza?
09:16And what will this new load test on the floor, the flexing floor, produce at the next race?
09:22Could there be further changes?
09:23Could McLaren regain the lead overall?
09:26Well, he had the win robbed, didn't he, in 2008?
09:28It looks like it's going to happen now.
09:31Yep, it didn't happen for Lewis Hamilton as he wanted two years ago.
09:34But this time, when they needed to win, Lewis Hamilton has won at Spa.
09:40It's his first victory here at this famous circuit.
09:44And it's just what McLaren needed after Hungary.
09:46Less than a quarter of the Belgian Grand Prix's won from grid spot number one.
09:53I think he's happy.
09:54But at the moment, it's champagne all the way for Lewis Hamilton.
