00:00And a thing that I would never thought about coming to Japan is to discover a passion for the train.
00:05It's to know that here, the train is much more than a way of transport.
00:08I think it's to see it to really feel it.
00:10But in Japan, there is a real passion for the train and all its universe.
00:14All this, it comes to the end of the 19th century.
00:16And contrary to France, where everything is centralised with the SNCF,
00:19Japan, it works with several private companies.
00:22As a result, we have an innovative innovation,
00:24where each company offers something unique.
00:27So, it's crazy that you can go from a regional train with wood and wood,
00:32to a modern train, entirely decorated with the garden Zen.
00:35There's also a full design around Pikachu,
00:37the Pokemon with you train, in the region of Toroku.
00:40And some trains are even thought of like real art art,
00:44with design interior changes depending on the seasons, the regions or the local traditions.
00:48Each line tells something about Japan,
00:50a bit of its history, its culture and its way of traveling.
00:53So, all this, it gave me a real curiosity for this universe of Japan.
00:56And in this moment, I'm a French creator of French content
00:59installed in Japan, which I recommend,
01:01his channel is Alex No Kuni,
01:02which has made of this passion one of the themes centrales of his creations.
01:05He travels the country in train,
01:06explores the most beautiful lines,
01:07and shares his road trip through Japan.
01:09And even his passions a bit more insolites,
01:11like the collection of cards of plaques d'égout japonaises,
01:14which, yes, it's a real thing.
01:15And frankly, it really inspired me
01:17and inspired me to make a project around this universe.
01:19A road trip through Japan in train,
01:21in starting all the north of Hokkaido,
01:23to discover the island and its landscapes,
01:25then descend to Tokyo,
01:26continue along the archipel,
01:28and finish on the island of Kyushu.
01:30And the idea is to discover new cities,
01:32new traditions,
01:33but also new trains,
01:34the most ancient to the most recent,
01:35the most mythic,
01:36the most luxurious,
01:37because here,
01:38to take the train,
01:39it's not just to go from A to B,
01:40it's travel through Japan,
01:42to find the Japan itself,
01:43a rail at the same time.
