Truth & Knowledge: Episode 85 – “Manifestation of Believing”
In this episode, Trey Knowles explores the question: How can someone truly believe if they do not respond? He explains that the manifestation of believing is shown through response. Faith comes by hearing the message, and genuine believing is revealed through obedience and faithfulness. When a person walks in faithfulness, it produces the evidence of love, which in turn brings forth the true manifestation of belief. 00:49If you're not being faithful, if you're not being obedient, then you're not responding.

00:59See, when you're pleasing God, you are being faithful.

01:08How did Abraham respond?
01:12By obedience and being faithful.
01:15Why do I say that?
01:20Jesus says, man should not live by bread alone, but every word that comes from the mouth of God.
01:26Matthew 4.4.
01:31So am I responding to the word?
01:36Am I responding to the word?
01:40If yes, then you are being faithful.
01:42Then you are being obedient.
01:44But if you're not responding to the word, then you're not being faithful and you're not being obedient.

03:01And Romans 10, 17 says,
03:05Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message,
03:10and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
03:13So faith says, Romans 10, 17 says,
03:18Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message.
03:22So I'm hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
03:27You respond to Jesus Christ by living through Him and listening to Him.
03:34If you're not listening to Him, why am I listening to Him?
03:38Because He is the Son of God.
03:40He's the only one person that's seen God and knows God.
03:44Because if you've seen the Son, you have seen the Father.
03:46If you hear from the Son, you hear from the Father.
03:51So, I'm responding to Jesus Christ by living through Him.
04:00Jesus Christ is my example.
04:02So while I'm living through Him, I'm following His example.
04:07Why do I say this?
04:10In Matthew 17, 5, it says,
04:13While He was still speaking, a bright cloud covered Jesus Christ.
04:20A voice from the cloud says,
04:22This is my Son, who I love.
04:25And with Him, I am well pleased.
04:27Listen to Him.
04:29Well, Jesus Christ is right there with John the Baptist,
04:31getting ready to get baptized.
04:32And this bright cloud covered Jesus Christ.
04:40A voice from heaven, which is God,
04:42says, This is my Son, whom I love.
04:47And listen to Him.
04:49Any Him, I am well pleased.
04:51Now listen to Him.
04:54He's the only one that has not sinned.
04:57And He's going to teach us how to live a life on earth.
05:07So when you're responding to Jesus Christ,
05:10you are living through Him.
05:14You're living through the manifestation
05:16because you're believing.
05:19The manifestation comes through
05:22because you're believing in Jesus Christ.
05:24And when you're believing in,
05:26you start to live that manifestation.
05:29The manifestation starts to take place
05:31because you're believing in Jesus Christ.
05:34You're believing in the way.
05:36There's only one way.
05:37I didn't create myself.
05:39There's only one way.
05:44And that's through your obedience
05:45and that's through Christ.
05:46Because in the beginning was the Word
05:51and the Word was God
05:54and the Word was with God
05:57as is written in John 1.1.
06:04Repenting comes with believing.
06:09Repenting comes with believing.
06:10I'm repenting because I believe.
06:12I believe in what?
06:13A new way.
06:14And that way is Jesus Christ.
06:15He's showing me an example.
06:19He's showing me an example
06:21and I'm listening, right?
06:23I am listening to His example.
06:27And there's a way that He wants me to live.
06:30I'm going to respond.
06:33See, in the beginning,
06:34I wasn't living that way.
06:35So now that I know
06:37I'm going to live in a way
06:38because now I have understanding.
06:40So now I begin to change
06:41and I have understanding
06:42and I'm going to live in a new way.
06:45Matthew,
06:48Mark,
06:49Mark 1.15 says,
06:52Time has come.
06:54He said,
06:56The kingdom of God has come near.
06:58Repent and believe the good news.
07:01Time has come.
07:04The kingdom of God is near.
07:06I'm going to repent
07:07and believe in the good news.
07:10And the good news is
07:11I don't have to live this crazy,
07:15miserable life anymore.
07:17The good news is that God loves me.
07:19God has sent His Son
07:20to show me a new way to live.
07:23And I'm going to respond
07:25because I believe.
07:29And as I believe,
07:31I see the manifestation
07:33getting ready to take the place in me
07:35that changed that new life,
07:38a new birth,
07:40a new me.
07:40What is the good news?
07:46What John 3.16 says,
07:49For God so loved the world,
07:50He gave His only begotten Son.
07:52Whoever believes in Him
07:53should not perish
07:54but have everlasting life.
07:56And the good news is
07:57God gave His only begotten Son.

08:05Why is that good news?
08:07Well, first of all,
08:08I know that God created me, right?
08:10Second, I know that I messed up.
08:13How do I know I messed up?
08:15Because I love God
08:16and He's showing me
08:17that I messed up
08:17and I need change.
08:19And why is it a good news?
08:22Because I know
08:22the wages of sin equals death
08:24and I do not want death.
08:26And the good news is
08:27that I know that God loves me.
08:29That He sent His only begotten Son
08:31for me
08:32so I can go to a better place
08:36that I may have everlasting life.
08:41Obedience comes through
08:42believing and being faithful.
08:45Obedience comes with believing
08:47and being faithful.
08:52So, what is obedience?
08:55I believe in the One
08:57who's given me the orders.
08:58I believe in the One
08:59who's given me orders.
09:00I have faith in the One
09:01who's given me orders.
09:04And because I believe in Him,
09:05I listen
09:06and then I work out my obedience.
09:09When you are faithful,
09:10it produces the evidence of love.
09:13When you're being faithful,
09:14it produces the evidence of love
09:16because why am I doing it?
09:18I'm doing it because I love God.
09:20If I don't love God,
09:21I don't do it.
09:22But because I love God,
09:24I love God,
09:26I'm going to be obedient
09:28because I love Him.
09:34And this brings the manifestation
09:37of believing.
09:40The manifestation of believing
09:42comes with loving God.
09:44I see a new person in me.
09:49I see a new change.
09:50I see life in me
09:51because I love God.
09:54I see life in me.
09:55I have life in me.
09:57Despite of what I see in the world,
09:59life is in me
10:00because I'm not like them.
10:02I am not like that person.
10:03I'm not like that person.
10:04I'm not like that person.
10:07Whatever they do,
10:08I'm not like that.
10:09I am like God
10:14because I made this image
10:15and likeness.
10:15I am like God.
10:17I am one with God.
10:19And when I'm one with God,
10:21I am in the manifestation of God.
10:27The one who responds to the Lord
10:28are called the children of God.
10:31I'm a child of God
10:32because I'm responding to the Lord.
10:35Why do I say that?
10:38It is written,
10:39John 1, 12-13.
10:43Yet to all who did receive him,
10:46to those who believe in his name,
10:48he have gave the right
10:49to become children of God.
10:52So because I believe in his name,
10:53I have the right to become
10:54a child of God.
10:57Children born not of natural descent
11:00nor of human decision
11:04or human
11:05or husband's will
11:09but born of God.
11:13I'm going to read that one more time.
11:16It is written in John 1, 12-13.
11:18Yet to all who did receive him,
11:21to those who believe in his name,
11:24we are called,
11:26we have become children of God.
11:28Children born not of natural descent.
11:34Not of natural descent.
11:36Why?
11:36We are not natural descent
11:37because we were sinners.
11:40All right?
11:41So anybody who is sinning,
11:43who continues sinning,
11:44is not born of God.
11:46Now that we have received God,
11:49we become brand new
11:51in Christ Jesus.
11:56Not by
11:57human decision
12:00or a husband's will
12:03but born of God.
12:10We are born of God.
12:14Not by human decision.
12:17It's not a decision.
12:18We are born of God
12:23because we believe
12:25in the name.
12:28We have received him.
12:31We believe in his power.
12:32We have faith in him.
12:35Not by,
12:36just because I know his name.
12:37I know Jesus Christ.
12:39I know him.
12:40I know his name.
12:42No.
12:43I believe in him.
12:44When you believe in him,
12:46then what?
12:46You are now able
12:48to be called
12:49a child of God.
12:53Children who do not
12:54take any other view
12:55but only respond
12:58to the word of God
12:58are children of God.
13:01So if you take
13:02no other view,
13:03you take no other view,
13:05you are
13:06the child of God.
13:07The only view you take
13:09is
13:09Jesus Christ.
13:11You take no other view.
13:12Those who take
13:14any other view
13:15other than Jesus Christ,
13:17then they're not
13:17a child of God
13:20because they don't
13:21want to receive him.
13:23So if you don't
13:24want to receive God,
13:25then you're not
13:25a child of God.
13:27Now,
13:28there's people that
13:28don't,
13:28maybe not,
13:29don't know God
13:30yet,
13:31but when you
13:33don't want
13:36God,
13:37you don't want
13:38Jesus,
13:39then you not,
13:40then you,
13:41you don't respond
13:43to his word,
13:44you don't respond
13:45to what he says,
13:46then how can you
13:47be called
13:48a child of God
13:48if you don't
13:49believe in him?
13:51Those who believe
13:52in him
13:52does what he says.
13:55So you can't say,
13:56well,
13:57I believe in Jesus Christ
13:58but don't do
13:58what he says,
13:59then you're really
14:00not a child of God
14:01but the one
14:02who loves him
14:02responds to the word,
14:05responds to the word
14:06of God.
14:08So once again,
14:10the manifestation
14:12of believing
14:13is living by
14:14every word
14:15that proceeded
14:15out of mouth
14:17of God.
14:19Living by every word,
14:20every person
14:21on this planet
14:21who lives by
14:22every word
14:22that proceeds
14:23out of mouth
14:23of God
14:23belongs to God.
14:25Those who do not
14:26want to,
14:27those who don't
14:29want to proceed
14:30those who don't
14:32want to obey
14:33the word of God
14:34are not
14:35the child of God.
14:39Those who do not
14:40want to be
14:42in obedience
14:45are not children
14:46of God
14:47because they don't
14:48want to live
14:49by obedience.
14:51Either they're
14:53rebellious
14:53or they just
14:55don't want to believe
14:55or they just
14:57don't want it.
14:59the action
15:00of belief
15:01is a person
15:02who practice
15:02their faith.
15:04The action
15:06of belief
15:06is a person
15:08who practice
15:09their faith
15:10and it acts
15:11on their beliefs.
15:14Acting
15:14on your beliefs
15:15means you are
15:15being obedient
15:16to the instructions,
15:20the subject
15:21of belief.
15:23So whatever
15:24you believe in
15:25and you are
15:27being obedient
15:28to it,
15:29you're acting
15:30out your
15:30faith.
15:33You're listening
15:33to the instructions
15:34of what that
15:35person is
15:36telling you.
15:38So whoever
15:39you have faith
15:40in,
15:40if you have faith
15:40in God,
15:41you have faith
15:42in the Lord,
15:43you're believing,
15:44you're believing
15:46what the Lord
15:47is telling you
15:48and you're acting
15:49out,
15:50you're taking
15:50the instructions
15:51and you're acting
15:52out,
15:52you're practicing
15:53that faith
15:54and you truly
15:55believe,
15:56then you are
15:57a child of God.
16:03Who do we
16:04put our faith
16:05in?
16:07We put our faith
16:08into Jesus Christ,
16:08we put our faith
16:09in Jesus Christ.
16:10How do we live
16:11in the manifestation
16:12of believing?
16:14By practicing,
16:16by acting
16:19out what we
16:20practice,
16:21by demonstrating,
16:23by living
16:25it out.
16:27This is how
16:28we practice
16:28our faith.
16:31This is how
16:31we practice
16:32our faith.
16:34This is how
16:35the manifestation
16:36of believing
16:37comes in.
16:39Practicing
16:40of what we
16:41heard
16:41from Jesus
16:42Christ.
16:44Acting
16:45out what we
16:46heard
16:47from Jesus
16:48Christ.
16:48demonstrating,
16:50showing
16:50other people,
16:52making it
16:52visible,
16:53making our
16:54actions visible,
16:56demonstrating
16:57our faith
16:57so other
16:58people can
16:58see
16:59God
17:01in you,
17:03living
17:03out
17:03in an
17:04open,
17:05not being
17:05ashamed.
17:07This is how
17:08we practice
17:09our faith.
17:11You have
17:12confessed with
17:12your mouth
17:13that Jesus
17:13is Lord.
17:16Then take
17:16no other view.
17:17if you're
17:18taking any
17:19other view,
17:20then
17:20why?
17:23Why are you
17:23taking any
17:23other view?
17:24If you're
17:24taking another
17:25view,
17:25then you
17:27you're not
17:30being faithful.
17:33Take
17:33no other
17:35view
17:35and live
17:36by the
17:36view
17:37of the
17:39Lord.
17:40And if you
17:41believe in
17:41your heart
17:42that God
17:42raised him
17:43from the
17:43dead,
17:43then
17:46live
17:47by the
17:47spirit
17:48which God
17:48raised him
17:49from the
17:49dead.
17:50So if you
17:51believe in
17:51a God
17:52and you
17:54believe in
17:54God,
17:55take no
17:56other view.
17:58And if you
17:58believe in
17:59your heart
17:59that God
18:00raised him
18:01from the
18:01dead,
18:02then live
18:03by the
18:04spirit
18:04which God
18:05raised him
18:06from the
18:06dead.
18:06So if you
18:07don't live
18:07by the
18:08spirit,
18:09then how
18:10do you
18:10believe?
18:11You're not
18:11believing.
18:12you're not
18:15believing.
18:17Because the
18:18same spirit
18:19that rose
18:19him from
18:20the dead
18:20is in
18:25you when
18:25you believe.
18:27But if you
18:28don't believe,
18:29then you
18:29don't have
18:30life.
18:31So the
18:31spirit that
18:32rose him
18:32from the
18:33dead is
18:33not in
18:33you because
18:34you're not
18:35displaying it.
18:38You're not
18:38living it
18:38out.
18:39You're not
18:40living out
18:40that spirit.
18:41You're not
18:41demonstrating
18:42that spirit.
18:43You're not
18:43acting in
18:44that spirit.
18:45You're not
18:45practicing
18:46that spirit.
18:47But when
18:47you're
18:48practicing
18:48that spirit,
18:49when you're
18:49practicing
18:50that spirit,
18:51you believe
18:53in your
18:53heart.
18:54And that
18:55same spirit
18:55that rose
18:56Jesus
18:56from the
18:56dead
18:57is in
18:58you.
18:59And why
19:00do I
19:00say such
19:00things?
19:02Romans
19:028-11
19:03says,
19:04And if
19:06that spirit
19:06of him
19:07who raised
19:08Jesus from
19:08the dead
19:09is living
19:09in you,
19:10he who
19:11raised Christ
19:12from the
19:12dead will
19:13also give
19:13you life
19:14in your
19:15moral bodies
19:15because of
19:17his spirit
19:17who lives
19:18in you.
19:19And we
19:19know that
19:20the spirit
19:21that lives
19:22in Christ
19:22cannot
19:23what?
19:25Sin.
19:27And we
19:27know the
19:28spirit that
19:28lives in
19:29Christ
19:29cannot
19:30sin.
19:32Say it
19:33one more
19:33time.
19:34And we
19:34know that
19:35the spirit
19:35that lives
19:36in Christ

19:39So if
19:40you continue
19:41to sin
19:41we know
19:43the spirit
19:44of Christ
19:44does not
19:45live in
19:46you.
19:47It is
19:48written
19:48in Romans
19:5010-9
19:50because if
19:51you confess
19:52with your
19:52mouth
19:53that Jesus
19:54is Lord
19:57and believe
19:58in your
19:58heart
19:59that God
20:00raised him
20:00from the
20:01dead
20:01you will
20:02be saved.
20:04This is
20:05the manifestation
20:06of believing
20:07believe in
20:10your heart.
20:11How do you
20:11believe in
20:11your heart?
20:15Practicing
20:16out your
20:16faith.
20:17Acting
20:18out your
20:18faith.
20:20Demonstrating
20:20your faith.
20:22Living
20:22out your
20:23faith.
20:26This is
20:27how you
20:27know that
20:28you believe
20:28in your
20:28heart.
20:31Because we
20:32know that
20:32the same
20:33spirit that
20:34raised Jesus
20:35from the
20:35dead
20:35cannot
20:36sin.
20:37We know
20:38that the
20:39spirit that
20:39lives in
20:39Christ
20:39cannot
20:40sin.
20:44So if
20:45you believe
20:45in your
20:45heart that
20:46means you're
20:46not sinning.
20:48If you
20:48believe in
20:48your heart
20:49you're not
20:50sinning.
20:52This is the
20:52manifestation of
20:53believing.
20:56So do you
20:57believe?
