When the Cat's Away is the sixth released Mickey Mouse short. It was distributed by Pat Powers and released on April 30, 1929, making it public domain as of 2025.
The title cue for this short no longer exists, so when it was added to Disney+ in 2023 to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary, stock title cues were added in its place. This upload fixes this by syncing it with the audio from Mickey Mouse in Black and White, Volume 2.
