00:26:25That green algae growing on the rocks, that's the winter algae.
00:26:35It's really pretty.
00:26:36You get this bright green and the ocean blue.
00:26:40You're better.
00:26:42Yeah.
00:26:43There's so much, um, that they might take from, uh, warmness, uh, from Tatooine, but they're
00:26:58coming back.
00:26:59I'll come back around about in the start of December.
00:27:04Oh, that's it?
00:27:05Yeah, so I'll come back here and they'll be right here.
00:27:08Um, they'll stay here for another three weeks and back up in the garden.
00:27:14Yeah.
00:27:15And from here, they go straight back to you.
00:27:17There was a time I met a girl of a different kind.
00:27:23We ruled the world.
00:27:27I thought I'd never lose your outside.
00:27:32We were so young.
00:27:35I think over now, but then, I still hear the songs.
00:27:43It might be me of a friend.
00:27:57On a hill, across the blue lake, That's where I had my first heartbreak, I still remember
00:28:02My father said
00:28:04Don't you worry, don't you worry
00:28:07My child
00:28:08She has a starter plan for you
00:28:12Don't you worry, don't you worry
00:28:14Right now
00:28:16Yeah
00:28:32She has a starter plan for you
00:28:41Don't you worry, don't you worry
00:28:43She has a starter plan for you
00:28:48Don't you worry, don't you worry
00:28:51Yeah
00:28:51Yeah
00:28:53People from Greece
00:28:57This is to commemorate
00:29:00Some family and previously
00:29:02They looked after a soldier
00:29:05In the second world war
00:29:06So he came back and built that church
00:29:09In respect for them
00:29:11This is a wine bar, coffee shop
00:29:15This is a caravan park shop
00:29:18This is camping ground here
00:29:21This is the most expensive part of Marga River
00:29:30My father said
00:29:32Don't you worry, don't you worry
00:29:36My child
00:29:36She has a starter plan for you
00:29:40Don't you worry, don't you worry
00:29:43Right now
00:29:44Well, this is accommodation
00:29:46This is the most famous cafe in Marga River
00:29:54So this is a white elephant cafe
00:30:08And this is a little beach here
00:30:13Where everyone swims
00:30:13Very protected here
00:30:15And it's like
00:30:17And it's like
00:30:17Will youious
00:30:18Sometimes in Marga River
00:30:18There
00:30:28There
00:30:29He is a starter plan for you
00:30:31Don't you worry, don't you worry
00:30:34Yeah
00:30:35He isodie
00:30:36He has a starter plan for you
00:30:38Don't you worry, don't you worry
00:30:40Yeah
00:30:41Yeah
00:30:42Yeah
00:30:42We used to come here on Sundays, but people from Sydney built this place, about 20 years
00:30:53and turned it into a gold mine.
00:31:03Houses here on average probably anywhere between 5-6 million, these properties along here.
00:31:10So you're probably going to see it the last time in its natural form.
00:31:19All this area here was subdivided 30 years ago, and they zoned that area there, commercial tourism.
00:31:29So, you know, they've got themselves to blame, really.
00:31:34So all this is National Park here, surrounded by National Park.
00:31:39And now this little pocket here has been on the development side for 30 years.
00:31:49And now, finally, someone has decided to...
00:31:54We've got another...
00:31:56We're talking circles, I don't mind.
00:32:00We talk in circles, I don't mind
00:32:22You draw the sun with jelly lines
00:32:27Your playlist skips, you never care
00:32:31It's always better when you're there
00:32:35Let's keep it slow, with no rush
00:32:39Feet on the dash, sky above us
00:32:44No big dreams, just small good stuff
00:32:48A look, a laugh, a little touch
00:32:53You spill your drink and call it fate
00:33:17We chase a cat, forget the date
00:33:21Nothing planned but it still works
00:33:26Like silly smiles and cotton shirts
00:33:30Let's keep it slow, with no rush
00:33:34Feet on the dash, sky above us
00:33:39No big dreams, just small good stuff
00:33:43A look, a laugh, a little touch
00:33:47Let's keep it slow, with no rush
00:33:52Feet on the dash, sky above us
00:33:56No big dreams, just small good stuff
00:34:01A look, a laugh, a little touch
00:34:06A look, a laugh, a little touch
00:34:10A look, a laugh, a little touch
00:34:11A look, a laugh, a little touch
00:34:15A look, a laugh, a little touch
00:34:15And I'm really dull, with no touch
00:34:21And I know something tonight
00:34:21And I kasih because I 죽
00:34:22A look, a grief, a little touch
00:34:24Have you liked
00:34:24Loody, and what do you want, want to be
00:34:25Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh- ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
00:34:28No rush, just us
00:34:58I caught your smile like a melody
00:35:22Didn't mean to, but now it's on repeat
00:35:26You say it's nothing and look away
00:35:31But your blush gives the whole game away
00:35:36Maybe I'll be the first to fall
00:35:41But you're not far behind at all
00:35:46We laugh too much to play it cool
00:35:51Falling's fun when it breaks no rules
00:35:55We count stars walking past this door
00:36:04We count stars walking past this door
00:36:17You hold my back like it's a chore
00:36:21But then you ask if I'm cold again
00:36:25And wrap me up like more than a friend
00:36:31Maybe I'll be the first to fall
00:36:35But you're not far behind at all
00:36:40We laugh too much to play it cool
00:36:45Falling's fun when it breaks no rules
00:36:49I'll fall first
00:36:58I'll fall first
00:37:11If you catch me too
00:37:15You show up late with coffee in hand
00:37:43So we'll have a morning
00:37:45So we'll have a coffee in hand
00:37:46Then we'll drive through the forest
00:37:48You're dancing socks on my kitchen floor
00:37:52Every little thing you do feels true
00:37:57I don't need a yellow card
00:38:01I'm going to go to the east
00:38:03I'm going right where you are
00:38:05Once the sun hits over 12 o'clock
00:38:06It becomes very glaring
00:38:09So you won't see the ocean
00:38:10You just hold my hand
00:38:11So these are Carrie trees
00:38:12This is the third tallest tree in the world
00:38:14This forest here
00:38:15You're going to go to the plane
00:38:18Do you fix my hair then mess it again
00:38:37Say oops like you meant it all along
00:38:42We build a life from lazy days
00:38:47And turn small moments into songs
00:38:52I don't need a getaway car
00:38:56I'm good right where you are
00:39:00Don't need stars or something grand
00:39:04You just hold my hand
00:39:08That's the plan
00:39:10I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:11I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:12I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:13I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:14I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:15I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:16I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:17I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:18I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:19I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:20I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:21I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:22I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:23I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:24I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:25I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:26I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:27I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:28I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:29I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:30I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:31I don't need stars or something grand
00:39:33Ha-tu-tu-la-ta-ta-da-ta-ta
00:39:50Its right where you are
00:39:56Ha-tu-tu-la-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta
00:40:02Now our workaholics, this is what they do, they fly into Perth on a Friday, they'll drive
00:40:18down Friday to Marga River, spend Friday night in Marga River, I have them Saturday, show
00:40:25them as much as I can in one day, Sunday they fly, they drive back to Perth, fly out on Sunday
00:40:34night.
00:40:35You know, I just start to, I tell them I'll put your phone away, I might as well pump the
00:40:39car.
00:40:40That's a point, you might as well just stay home, it's a lot of work.
00:40:49No filters, no fancy check, just holding hands, simple like that.
00:40:57You scribble hearts on grocery lists, we race to kiss and always miss.
00:41:24Do you know a place called Gas Lane, it's all cut down back in 1880 to about 1910.
00:41:48So this forest was heavily logged in those days.
00:41:51They cut down all the big 600 year old trees and they exported them all over the world.
00:41:57So they used them to, they used them as warehouse beams, railway bridges and railway lines.
00:42:09But the British, in their wisdom, were going through the industrial revolution in the late 1800s.
00:42:21They wanted to get rid of all the cobblestone roads because it was too noisy for the clip-clop,
00:42:28clip-clop of the horse hooves.
00:42:31So they said, well, we could turn the roads into wood because wood's a very good insulator
00:42:39of sound and we know where there's a hell of a lot of it.
00:42:46So half of these trees ended up on the streets of London, it's cobble blocks.
00:42:52So you cut down a big 600 year old tree and you make a little wooden block out of it.
00:42:58Like this one.
00:42:59They put love in cups of tea, no filters, no fancy chat, just holding hands, simple like that.
00:43:11So I dropped off that night before she was fine and then they went out to dinner, came back
00:43:36to the apartment and then they woke up, she woke up with chest pain, couldn't stop her.
00:43:44And then she, then they took her to hospital, took her some tests and then they said, we've
00:43:48got to, we've got to fly her up to Perth.
00:44:06So the ocean was right up here.
00:44:27So then the ice age came, shrunk all the ocean.
00:44:33Left all the beach sand behind and the ocean is now where it is now.
00:44:40So all this is beach sand, which turns into limestone.
00:44:46So when you get limestone over granite, you saw that granite down on the beach.
00:44:52So the granite is over the top.
00:44:55So the limestone is over the top of the granite.
00:44:58And then you get a rain.
00:45:01So it's the rain, rain starts to go through the limestone, starts to dissolve the limestone
00:45:07and creates caves.
00:45:09So that's how we got the cave.
00:45:10So this valley is a cave that's had its roof collapse on it.
00:45:19So under here, there's the cave and the roof was like this.
00:45:23So we've had an earthquake over the last probably 2,000 years and the roof has collapsed down.
00:45:32So now these grass trees have colonised the top of the roof of the cave for thousands of years.
00:45:42The roof collapsed, the trees went down with it and they've been there ever since.
00:45:47Because they don't need, they've got a very shallow root system, so they don't need a big tap root.
00:45:53So they just claw on top of the limestone and the limestone collapse and here they are.
00:46:00That's a cave of that and the roof.
00:46:03That's a cave of that and the roof.
00:46:04That's a cave of that and the roof.
00:46:05That's a cave of that and the roof.
00:46:08Yeah, he's a legend.
00:46:09He's a legend.
00:46:10Yeah, he's a legend.
00:46:11Yeah, they don't listen to people like that.
00:46:12No.
00:46:13No.
00:46:14So...
00:46:17Well, I'll just work out.
00:46:21Heart beats fast, colours and promises.
00:46:29How to be brave.
00:46:32How can I love when I'm afraid to fall.
00:46:39Watching you stand up.
00:46:44The spear.
00:46:46Oh.
00:46:47Long.
00:46:48All this is full of seeds here.
00:46:51So this has already burst the seed pot and they're scattered all throughout here.
00:46:57They're very sharp.
00:46:59Yeah.
00:47:00Look, look.
00:47:01This is the seed pot here.
00:47:02Look.
00:47:03Yeah.
00:47:04Very pretty.
00:47:05There.
00:47:06So you can see how the pod is broken up.
00:47:09Mmm.
00:47:10No, the seed's already scattered.
00:47:12Seed?
00:47:13Living.
00:47:14The seed.
00:47:15Then it turns brown and the seed pods eventually will break open and then the seeds will get scattered.
00:47:20It's a really beautiful smell.
00:47:22Oh, look at that.
00:47:23Listen.
00:47:24So when you go camping, see how it's all sticky?
00:47:27Yes, yes.
00:47:28So when you go camping, you put this on your campfire.
00:47:31Keeps all the mosquitoes.
00:47:32Yeah.
00:47:33Yeah.
00:47:34All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow.
00:47:42One step closer.
00:47:50I have died every day waiting for you.
00:47:55Darling, don't be afraid.
00:47:58I have loved you for a thousand years.
00:48:03I love you for a thousand years.
00:48:08We're going for lunch over there.
00:48:21What's that?
00:48:22That winery over there.
00:48:23This is where the coastal plain finishes.
00:48:26Oh, right.
00:48:27And you see the carrie trees now?
00:48:29The tall trees?
00:48:30Yes.
00:48:31And the low trees?
00:48:32Yes.
00:48:33So that's the line.
00:48:34That's how far the ocean was, right up to the edge of the carrie tree.
00:48:37So from all those cleared, that used to be all carrie forest.
00:48:43I will be brave.
00:48:44I will not let anything take away.
00:48:53Standing in front of me.
00:48:58Every breath, every hour has come to lose.
00:49:08One step closer.
00:49:15I have died every day waiting for you.
00:49:21Darling, don't be afraid.
00:49:24I have loved you for a thousand years.
00:49:30I love you for a thousand more.
00:49:36And all along I believed I would find you.
00:49:42Time has brought your heart to me.
00:49:45I have loved you for a thousand years.
00:49:51I love you for a thousand more.
00:50:01I love you for a thousand more.
00:50:03I love you for a thousand more.
00:50:08I love you for a thousand more.
00:50:21One step closer.
00:50:29One step closer.
00:50:37I have died every day waiting for you
00:50:43Darling, don't be afraid
00:50:46I have loved you for a thousand years
00:50:52I'll love you for a thousand more
00:50:58And all along I believed I would find you
00:51:04Time has brought your heart to me
00:51:07I have loved you for a thousand years
00:51:13I'll love you for a thousand more
00:51:18When they're not competing against each other
00:51:38They all spread their branches to the light
00:51:40It's all about the light
00:51:43So as soon as you get off and into
00:51:47We just drove through the middle of the Kauri Forest
00:51:49So there's no competition for the light here
00:51:52So they have space to spread out
00:51:54So they're saying, give me the light
00:51:55Give me the light
00:51:56I can see the light
00:51:59So it's all about survival of the fittest
00:52:02So they all grow very tall and straight
00:52:03But here they don't have to
00:52:05They just spread out
00:52:06So even though they're not as tall
00:52:08But because they've got so many branches
00:52:10Some of these trees have been 600 and 800 years old
00:52:14Good God
00:52:14And they're very unique trees
00:52:17Thank you
00:52:34Thank you
00:52:34Thank you
00:52:39Thank you
