00:00As JITEC's Global 2025 draws to a close here in Dubai, the spotlight now turns to the women behind it all.
00:08Trixie Lohmiman, the Executive Vice President of the Dubai World Trade Center.
00:13She helped transform JITEC's from regional ICT fair into one of the most influential technology events.
00:20I spoke with her about what makes this year's edition special and what the future holds for Dubai's future digital story.
00:27I think we have shifted a lot of our focus from just numbers of people to, importantly, more countries coming in,
00:40more frontier countries, emerging countries being represented at the show,
00:45and also to make sure that there is a good balance of different stakeholders in the ecosystem.
00:51So it's not just big tech. We also want NGOs to be involved in the conversation, especially when it comes to AI.
00:57Government, you know, of course, SMEs, which is very significant for any global economies, you know.
01:04They take up at least over 90% of global economies anywhere in the world.
01:10And, of course, startups, especially a lot of them, are now venturing into the AI space, which is also challenging.
01:17The industry is evolving at such a quick pace, and I think there's a lot of technologies that are now becoming quite seamless.
01:27And it is, you know, being applied not in just one industry, but multiple industries.
01:33So next year, JITAC's 2026, we are, of course, expanding the profile of the event with the added capacity that we have.
01:43We'll be focusing on what we call JITAC's 5.0 industries.
01:47That meaning looking at very advanced future industries that's already coming online very quickly.
01:53From AI breakthroughs to ideas that shaped tomorrow's economy, JITAC's Global 2025 here in Dubai has reminded the world once again that Dubai doesn't just host technology, it drives the conversation.
02:09And as this year's edition wraps up, the message is clear.
02:12Innovation here isn't a trend.
02:14It is a tradition.
