00:07with a new drink review, a la JohnTheGamer64's Munchers Review, which also covers drinks.
00:13So today we'll be reviewing a new Mountain Dew flavor, Trolley Cherry Lemon.
00:22Definitely love the labeling here, given the worms' faces with the goofy googly eyes.
00:30That makes me chuckle. Love it. Love it.
00:35Alright, so yeah, a couple fun facts about Trolley here.
00:41So in 81, Trolley were the original creators of Gummy Worms, although Haribo has been in
00:47the gummy candy game for about 60 years. And also they were the original creators of the
00:55Gummy Bears in 1922. So Haribo has definitely been around the block, but they were not the
01:03original creators of Gummy Worms. So Trolley has that. So there you go.
01:09So yeah, seeing how the flavor is Cherry Lemon, most likely going to be based off of their
01:18Sour Bright Crawlers. Because I believe with the original flavors, they didn't have a Cherry
01:25Lemon. So yeah, their original gummies, Trolley's original gummies, they call them Gummy Squiggles.
01:32And the only flavors they had was Strawberry Grape, Cherry Orange, Lemon Lime. And then I guess
01:40they came out with later flavors. But Cherry Lemon was one of them. They had Cherry Orange
01:46in the original run. So this is Cherry Lemon. So it's going to be based off of the Sour Bright
01:52Crawlers. So let's see if we got another Sour Soda here. And go from there, folks.
01:59All righty, folks. Without further ado. Without further ado. Get it? Ado. Bad joke aside.
02:24Let's go ahead and test her out. Oh, yeah. And it's like, how many flavors do they actually
02:32have? Like, a lot of them are red. Ever since Code Red, like, they've just been using the
02:38same, like, red color for, like, a lot of flavors. So, it's something to note.
02:43Ooh. Damn. I got the smell down. Like, the smell of the gummy. Like, I haven't even, like,
02:52tasted it. And the smell just wafts over my nose after I'm uncapping. Smells good, though.
03:02So, let's see if it's the Sours, the Cherry Lemon Sour Bright Crawlers here. All right.
03:09Bones, apples, teeth.
03:10Hmm. Give me another sip here.
03:40Hmm. No sense of tartness or sour. That's kind of disappointing. Yeah.
03:50Hmm. Because like I stated in the original flavors, there was only Cherry Orange. So, you
03:56know, those gummy worms aren't sour. But this isn't claiming to be Cherry Orange. This is
04:01Cherry Lemon.
04:01And Cherry Lemon was part of the Sour Bright Crawlers. So, no sour soda. Damn, that's a
04:09little disappointing. Jeez. Wow. I mean, it's not as bad as, like, that, uh, Fruitcake, or,
04:18you know, was the Fruitcake Mountain Dew? The one I tried, like, years ago. And I already knew
04:23that one was going to be bad because I don't really like Fruitcake. But, damn. They missed
04:28the mark on this one, man.
04:31Even the flavor just seems kind of dull. It's like, no tartness. Oh, man. That's, wow.
04:47That's disappointing. Not their best flavor. I can just say that right now. So, I'm willing
04:55to give them another shot. But, I'm going to take a big gulp. See what changes.
04:59And another thing to note. It's like, there's more cherry than actual lemon. And you have
05:17like, like, that gummy, like, gummy aftertaste, I guess.
05:23Mmm. Damn, that was disappointing. I think the only real redeeming thing about this soda
05:31is, like, the artwork with the worms and googly eyes. Like, that's just straight up hilarious. Like,
05:38I'm going to give the label a 5 out of 5. But the soda itself, mmm, straight up 2 out
05:46of 5. Maybe I'm being too generous. I don't know about that. 2 out of 5, though, man. It's
05:53like, come on, man. Such a generic flavor. Like, cherry lemon's supposed to be, like, sour,
06:00bright. Sour bright crawler, like, flavor. So, yeah, those sour gummy worms, if you didn't know
06:09what sour bright crawlers were. Damn. 2 out of 5. Damn. I don't know. I was expecting more from this
06:19soda. Yeah, definitely not one I'll be trying again. But, I love the label. The label is great.
06:265 out of 5 on the label. 2 out of 5 on the flavor. Not great. Not great.
