At least one person was killed and seven others injured after Israeli warplanes launched 12 airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Thursday, targeting what Tel Aviv called “Hezbollah infrastructure.” Massive fires erupted in the town of Ansar as firefighters struggled to contain blazes at industrial sites hit by the missiles. According to Lebanese media, the strikes also hit Marjayoun, Sidon, Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil, and Baalbek. Despite a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah that took effect last November, Israel has continued to carry out cross-border attacks, further escalating tensions along the Lebanon-Israel frontier.
