00:00So you started stripping when you were still in high school.

00:03You kind of alluded to that earlier when you talked about the accident that you had.

00:07How did you work that out with going to school?

00:11Were you stripping after school or just on the weekends?

00:13Like, how did you?

00:14So both.

00:15The club I started at, it had a mandatory three night a week.

00:19And I remember talking to the manager because I went and auditioned on a Sunday.

00:23And I didn't even bring anything to audition it.

00:26I didn't think about it.

00:26And I also didn't wear underwear or a bra at the time.

00:29I'm like, some things never change.

00:34And I get there and he's like, okay, do you have anything to dance and audition in?

00:38And I'm like, I don't.

00:40I didn't consider it.

00:41So he takes me back there to borrow something from one of the girls to the audition.

00:46And he's like, so can you start tonight?

00:48I'm like, unfortunately, no, I have school in the morning.

00:50And about the three night a week thing, is there any way I can just do Fridays and Saturdays because I have school?

00:57And he goes, unfortunately, if I let you off with something, then every girl is going to come in with an excuse.

01:04And I'm like, no, that's fair.

01:05I totally get that.

01:06So I would usually dance Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night.

01:13Sometimes I would do Friday, Saturday, Sunday, just because Sunday nights we got off a little, we closed earlier.

01:19So I could get a little more rest.

01:21But, yeah, a lot of times after those three, you could do half shifts and pay like half a house.

01:29So you always have to pay a house fee every night you work.

01:32So you'd pay half of that if you worked half your shift.

01:35So I'd go in after school.

01:36I also worked at a vet clinic for a bit at the same time.

01:39So I had two jobs and I went to school.

01:40So after school, I'd go to the vet clinic for like three hours, two or three hours.

01:44And then I'd get done there.

01:45I'd go home and shower and then I'd go to the club.

01:48And I'd usually be there for another four hours.

01:51It was a half shift.

01:52And then, yeah, just kind of did that until I graduated.

01:55Did anyone at school know?

01:57So two people found out.

02:01One, because I told them after my accident, because I was still in school when I did that.

02:06So I came in and I had a sling and an A-swap.

02:08The A-swap was hurting, so I took it off.

02:10But I had a bruise that led, it started here.

02:13It crept like up my neck, down the front of my chest, down my arm, down my back.

02:19And so you could see it.

02:20I had a teacher that thought like I was being beat.

02:23So we had a special worker in the school.

02:24And I'd only been at the school a couple months maybe because I'd moved six months before I graduated.

02:32And so she calls me in one day and she's like, you know, this is a safe place to talk.

02:37And we're just concerned that, you know, maybe a parent is abusing you.

02:40I'm like, I live by myself.

02:42So I had my own apartment.

02:44Oh, wow.

02:45And she goes, well, maybe you have a boyfriend or something.

02:48I'm like, no, no boyfriend.

02:50I'm single.

02:51And I'm like, this is, you know, I can tell you anything, right?

02:54And she thinks she's going to have this breakthrough moment with me.

02:56God bless her.

02:57I wish I could go back and tell her I'm sorry for this moment.

02:59And she could look at her and I go, I fell off a pole down at the pony.

03:05I'm sorry.

03:06Like, it landed on my shoulder.

03:09Can I go back to class now?

03:11What was her reaction?

03:15She just looks at me and she goes, uh-huh.

03:19I mean, you were 18.

03:21I was 18.

03:21I enrolled myself in the high school.

03:24There's nobody you can call.

03:27So she knew.

03:29And then I had a teacher that walked in one night.

03:32But thank God it was the coolest teacher I had.

03:34Oh, my God.

03:35Because I had moved states, I had to take the state test and they had to make sure I knew English.

03:41And even though I was in AP English, I was taking college courses in my school before I left last time.

03:47I had to go to a remedial English class.

03:50Okay.

03:51Just so they knew I knew my basics, even though I went from AP English to remedial.

03:57Strange.

03:57Yeah, it was a weird thing.

03:58They did the same thing with math.

04:00And so I'm sitting in this class first day and I'm like doing the paperwork, get it done.

04:04And made like five minutes.

04:05It's the easiest English.

04:07It is basic English.

04:09And I hand it to him and he looks at it and he goes, why are you here?

04:12I'm like, I don't know.

04:12They told me I had to be here.

04:15So from then on, I just did work in five minutes and then just slept in his class.

04:19Told everybody at that school I worked at Denny's because they kind of helped take care of me.

04:23Like when I got my apartment and everything, I was in a rough living situation with a guy that I thought I could trust.

04:30I ended up handcuffed to a bed one night.

04:31Thankfully, nothing happened, but I've realized it's time to go.

04:35So they helped me with all that.

04:37But yeah, he walked in there and I'm like, you know what?

04:39Out of all the teachers, I'm glad it's you.

04:41You didn't see me.

04:42I did not think.

04:43I didn't have to go through that.

04:44But I was like, you didn't see me.

04:45I didn't see you, man.

04:47Oh my God.

04:48I feel like it's more awkward for him.

04:51I feel like it was definitely more awkward on his side.

04:53Did he stay?

04:54He maybe stayed for a few minutes.

04:56I would have left.

04:57I would have like hightailed it out of there.

04:59Yeah, he didn't stay to watch me dance.

05:01But like, I saw him talking to a girl that maybe he knew kind of well.

05:04They seemed friendly.

05:06And so I was like, oh, okay, whatever.

05:07Oh my God.

05:08I'm just going to go over here.

05:09Oh my God, so awkward.
