00:00They were into it. I mean, how could you not be? Look at this. I mean, look at it.
00:12It's very cool. I've never done anything like this on the beach before. I mean, I've done
00:17other things on the beach, but I've never done this. Oh, and neither have we. The stunningly
00:22talented Britney Spencer has been on quite the journey since joining Beyonce's Cowboy Carter.
00:27Man, Beyonce is everything. She really is. I think she's the greatest entertainer alive.
00:32But we followed Britney on a new journey to the beaches of Mexico at Four Seasons Naviva
00:37Resort. Thank y'all so much for being here. I appreciate it. This is really beautiful.
00:42What a setting. Oh my gosh. Where we got a private show with new music and more.
00:47On the road again. Going places that I've never been.
00:54And we take you there and billboard all accents.
00:58It's more than a dream and a lesson when the radio's on. It's bigger than the soul.
01:10It was beautiful and nerve-wracking, honestly. I don't really play a whole lot by myself on guitar.
01:17Usually I have a guitarist with me. So this was a, it was a chance for me to kind of really stretch myself a bit.
01:30Naviva was a hidden oasis of luxury. All weekend you snuck away to the middle of nature for spa
01:35and so much more. Like an intimate cliffside concert of less than 30 guests and Britney Spencer.
01:42We can make it all right to the next fight. But we can let it go.
01:48Baby, hit the chainsaw. Is this alcohol?
01:51I'll be okay. See, this is where y'all get me messed up.
01:54Oh yeah, they are. We had a tequila tasting and couldn't even count the bottles.
02:00At Restaurant Copal, we had so many deliciously prepared meals. And got to hang with the amazing
02:05chefs that prepared them in private cooking classes. And even head down to the beaches to enjoy our meals
02:12there. An experience fit for a music star and her guests.
02:16I love the show last night that I do here at Naviva. I think it's really beautiful that they're having this
02:21really nice song series and bringing in different artists to just play in a setting like this.
02:42I've been so encouraged by artists like Halsey and Lizzo who have been talking about the challenges
02:48a lot of artists are facing in the industry right now. And I'm inspired about artists being honest
02:53about where they are and what's going on. And I'm an independent artist. And so that's the thing
02:58that's most inspiring me.
03:11My goodness. Anyone else's bedroom is like, wow, now this makes sense. This is what bedrooms are supposed to be.
03:18And she was right about those bedrooms with stunning views of the ocean and a private pool.
03:23Then I transitioned into some new songs that aren't out yet. And I felt the difference. And I think
03:27the biggest takeaway for me musically was that I'm getting way more personal and I'm getting way more
03:32into it.
03:34It's a habit, thinking revenge wouldn't end this game. I walked over, I'm goaded and letting us
03:43cycle spend on full cringe. And not only did Britney provide a soundtrack to your stay,
03:49but there were experiences like Temescal and sound baths to help you really bask in the beauty.
03:55How does Britney take it all in, including working with Queen Bee?
03:59Being able to sing with her was such an incredible experience. It was a learning experience for sure.
04:03It was like a crash course. Like just being with her and watching how she works, it definitely
04:10taught me a whole lot as a newer artist. And it definitely opens me up to collaboration and the
04:16kinds that I want to do moving forward. And it's a beautiful thing.
04:30Obviously the fruits of what I do or even what, I mean as a whole, what black country music has been
04:35able to do over the last like five years. Um, I think that even if we don't see the fruit of that
04:41right now, I know that we will. Thank y'all so much. I appreciate y'all for coming on. Thank you for having me with me though.
