00:00Kennington detectives investigating an aggravated home burglary which occurred
00:04in Carlisle on Friday the 29th of August 2025. At about 12.20 a.m. two unknown men
00:11attended a home on Planet Street stating they were police officers and
00:15producing fake documents before demanding entry. The occupant let them
00:19into the home. Once inside one of the men watched the two occupants as the
00:24other searched through one of the occupants rooms. The offender stole a
00:27quantity of cash and a number of personal items including jewellery before
00:31fleeing the premises in a white SUV. There were no reports of injuries. At this
00:36time police believe this was a targeted incident. These kinds of acts are
00:40extremely concerning to WA police. We also remind members of the public that if
00:45there's any uncertainty about the identification of police they will
00:49always carry identification whether it be a badge or a lanyard. Our community
00:54members deserve to feel safe in their own home. We are throwing a significant
00:58amount of resources into the investigation and will not stop until these people
01:03apprehended and before the courts. We need the help of the community to identify the
01:06people involved. Someone out there knows something if you do say something. We are
01:11urging anyone with any information relating to this incident or anyone with
01:16CCTV or dash cam in the area of Planet Street to contact Crime Stoppers.
