00:30The twelfth presidential summit
00:32of the Organization of Turkic Countries
00:34gathered the heads of member states
00:35Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazachstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan
00:39and the observer countries Turkmenistan and Hungary.
00:42The Organization of Turkic States
00:44has long grown out of its original mandate
00:46to help cultural cooperation
00:48between nations speaking Turkic languages.
00:50Over time it grew to facilitate
00:52as many as 40 different aspects
00:54of cooperation between Turkic states
00:56from infrastructure and trade
00:58through water management
01:00and even space exploration.
01:02Azerbaijan hosting the summit
01:03in the ancient and touristic city of Gabala
01:06proposed the topic of defense cooperation
01:08that had not often been discussed.
01:10This summit is calling the member countries
01:12to combine their efforts in the field
01:15of peace and security
01:16and also combine their joint efforts
01:19towards increasing and strengthening
01:22their defense industries
01:23and bringing together civil emergency organizations
01:26and also possibly to organize
01:28joint military training and exercises.
01:31Again, these member countries
01:32are also surrounded with the new hotspots
01:35of the conflicts around the world.
01:37Security is a must
01:38and number one priority for everybody.
01:40But the summits of the Organization of Turkic Countries
01:43are never about one topic.
01:44As always, the summit was open to individual agendas
02:03and proposals of the member states.
02:06Uzbekistan suggested establishing a permanent council
02:09of Turkish state for economic partnership
02:12and the main task of this council
02:15is to create a Turkic industrial alliance
02:18to promote joint projects in engineering,
02:22in mining, in petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals,
02:26textile food and many other areas.
02:29We are also targeting to introduce
02:32an electronic Turkic green corridor system
02:35to boost trade and to align technical standards.
02:39The proposal of Kazakhstan was also all about technology.
02:43A few days ago, the president of our country
02:46expressed the idea, not idea,
02:48but the touch for Kazakhstan to be the digital state.
02:52And we provided the national forum
02:54devoted to the artificial intelligence
02:57and we created intelligence that we call it RMI,
03:01that we just started to work
03:03with the first supercomputer in Central Asia
03:07and we invited our partners by Turkic Council
03:10to use these opportunities to join our efforts
03:14to get much more results from the digitalization
03:18of our countries.
03:19Hungary as an observer country
03:21hosted the previous informal meeting of the leaders
03:23and testifies to the fact that OTS Plus
03:26is an idea for other countries to consider.
03:28Hungary has taken a lot of benefit
03:30out of this very tight cooperation
03:33between Hungary and the Turkic countries.
03:35You know, we put a lot of emphasis
03:37on the success of our diversification efforts
03:40and in this regard,
03:42Turkey is one of our important suppliers
03:45of natural gas plus a very important transit route.
03:48In Azerbaijan, Hungarian energy companies
03:51are co-shareholders in the biggest oil and gas fields.
03:55We are buying big-time oil from Kazakhstan.
03:59We are working together with Uzbekistan
04:00on nuclear energy and with Kyrgyzstan on hydro energy.
04:03In the end, the president of Turkey,
04:06the largest economy in the bloc,
04:07summed up the summit of nations
04:09he refers to as his family.
04:11The Gabala declaration is 14 pages long
04:38and contains 121 points.
04:41It says the parties are discussing cooperation
04:43in a wide range of areas,
04:45from economic trade and investment,
04:47with an emphasis on developing
04:48the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route,
