00:251.6mm.

00:27Do we recommend changing tyres at 1.6mm?

00:30No, I've got 3.6mm in it.

00:35Why do you think we have grip on tyres?

00:38When we have tread on tyres, what's the purpose of having tread on tyres?

00:41Traction.

00:45So, Formula 1 tyres, do they have tread?

00:48No.

00:49So what could be the answer?

00:50If we have tread on tyres and Formula 1 tyres don't have the conventional known tread,

00:55why do we have tread on tyres?

00:58Yeah, dispersed water, exactly.

01:00So, ideally, we need the appropriate amount of tread on a tyre to get rid of as much water

01:05as we can.

01:05So, being able to at least identify what the size of a tyre is and being able to identify

01:11how much tread is on a tyre and whether that's a safer man is really important.

01:17And like I said earlier, I had an accident when I was 19 and it put me in a coma for a week

01:21and it's just like a glittering mob of it.

01:23So, it's pretty cool that I get to hopefully land with a couple of you guys because back

01:29in the day, all of these fine fire service men had to cut me out of this vehicle.

01:35But it's really important that you at least land with the fact is that change of tyres

01:41around 3mm is going to be a lot better for your braking distance than it would be if you

01:45had tyres at 1.6.

01:46Then we can start going into the fact of choosing the right tyre for your vehicle is going to

01:53be something that's all very important.
