Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, a close ally of Vladimir Putin, issued a stark nuclear warning against Ukraine, claiming that delivering Tomahawk missiles could escalate the conflict into a nuclear war. Lukashenko told Ukrainian President Zelenskyy that the weapons would not solve the crisis and threatened, “Ukraine will disappear” if escalation continues. He also signaled willingness to join a peace deal. The remarks come ahead of Zelenskyy’s U.S. visit on October 17 to meet President Trump to discuss defense aid and sanctions.
