Rahul Gandhi seeks immediate action in Haryana cop suicide case

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met the family of IPS officer Puran Singh, who allegedly died by suicide, accusing the Haryana government of failing to honour its commitments. Gandhi said the Dalit officer and his family faced “systematic discrimination for 6–7 years” meant to demoralise him. He urged the Prime Minister and Haryana Chief Minister to ensure justice, allow the funeral, and take strict action against responsible officers, saying, “The family wants respect—if you don’t give respect, we will not accept.”
