Fire in Veenendaal, Netherlands sends towering smoke cloud into the sky and alarms residents

Veenendaal, Netherlands, recently made the news after a fire incident caught numerous citizens off guard.

"I wanted to go to a store when my daughter said, 'Mom, I would wait if I were you,'" the filmer, Alieke, told WooGlobe. "When I asked why, she replied, 'Well, there are a lot of grey clouds all of a sudden.' Then my boyfriend told me about the fire across the street. So, I went out on my bicycle to trace the fire."

The footage clearly shows a colossal column of smoke billowing from the blaze.
