Chelsea has been tasked by the bank she works for to review a number of properties they own in England to determine whether they can be sold. While she's there, she stays at one of the manor houses owned by the bank. She soon realises there's something mysterious about the cellar and can't resist going down to investigate. Once there, she sees a man through a mirror. It is Charles, who is in the same cellar but in the year 1799. They are able to speak to each other through the mirror, and Chelsea keeps returning to learn more. However, she suffers an allergic reaction, and Charles steps through the mirror to help her. Suddenly, he is trapped in the present day - but how will he get back?
