00:10Welcome all!
00:12Welcome!
00:13Give us a cheer if you're so confident tonight
00:15you've already started spending the money in your head.
00:19Lady at the back there, what's your name?
00:21I'm Shireen from Birmingham.
00:23Hello, Shireen. How are you?
00:24I'm very well, thank you. Excited to be here.
00:26Why do you think you'll do so well?
00:28I do really well on the sofa at home.
00:30Do you ever watch the programme though?
00:32Yes!
00:33Old school!
00:35Every weekend, me and the family, we get together
00:38and I do surprisingly really well.
00:40Good. What do you do for a living?
00:42I'm a reward manager.
00:44OK.
00:45Have you got any hobbies?
00:46I'm absolutely obsessed with cleaning ears.
00:48Cleaning them?
00:49Yeah, I know.
00:51What, your own ears?
00:52I know, anybody's ears.
00:54Yeah.
00:55You have an actual, like, the endoscope with the lights
00:59and the different attachments on the end
01:01and you can sync it with your phone, with your smartphone
01:04or the TV, so...
01:05You can look into other people's ears?
01:06Yeah.
01:07Are you qualified?
01:08No.
01:09No.
01:10OK, so you would literally just go up to a stranger
01:12and say, can I have a look in your ear?
01:14Family and friends.
01:16OK, well, that's a good look tonight
01:18and the person on your left, just have a little look at his ear.
01:20Tell me if it's all right.
01:21Gives you a cheer if you think you're going to do terribly.
01:23Woo!
01:24Gentleman up there, what's your name?
01:25So, my name is Mivik, but I don't know in the streets.
01:28Mivik.
01:29Could you just say that whole sentence again?
01:31I said, my name is Mivik, but I don't know in the streets.
01:34Mivik.
01:35Isn't that the same thing?
01:36Yes.
01:37Right.
01:38What about when you're not in the street,
01:39maybe you're in your house or something?
01:41Well, you know when I was then?
01:42My parents also called me Mivik.
01:43That sounds to me like you're called Mivik.
01:45Let's not go through where you're called Mivik,
01:47because we could be here all day, wouldn't we?
01:49Yeah.
01:50In the shops, is it Mivik?
01:51Yeah.
01:52What would you like me to call you tonight?
01:53Mivik.
01:54Right.
01:55Ladies and gentlemen, Mivik.
01:58What do you do, Mivik?
02:00So, I'm an iOS engineer by day.
02:02But by the evening, on the street, I'm an iOS engineer.
02:06Yes.
02:07OK.
02:08Why do you think you're going to do so badly tonight?
02:09I subscribed to ITVX to watch every single episode,
02:121% Club, and I did terribly.
02:14You've done the whole box set?
02:15Every single thing.
02:16I'm looking forward to speaking to you some more, Mivik.
02:18Oh, no.
02:19It sounds like we'd better make it quick.
02:21Good luck, Mivik.
02:22Sorry, that was your name, wasn't it?
02:23Yes.
02:24Yeah, yeah.
02:25Now, don't forget, you can play along at home if you want.
02:27All you have to do is download the app.
02:29OK, before we ask our first question,
02:30here's a reminder of how the show works.
02:32We asked a cross-section of people from all over Britain
02:35a list of our unique questions.
02:37Based on their answers, we can tell statistically
02:39what percentage of the country should get each one right.
02:42Tonight, I'll be asking those exact questions
02:45to our 100 contestants, beginning with the easier one
02:48that 90% of Britain got right, and ending with the most challenging
02:51question that only 1% of the great British public answered correctly.
02:55At the start of the show, every contestant is given a £1,000 stake.
03:00If they get any question wrong, they are out of the game,
03:02and the £1,000 is transferred to the 1% prize pot.
03:06Whoever gets the furthest in the quiz wins £10,000
03:09and the chance to answer the final 1% question
03:12to win everything in the prize pot
03:14and take home up to £100,000.
03:18Right, let's get on with it. It's time for our first question.
03:24So, this is one that 90% of our survey got right.
03:28Let's see how you do in the studio.
03:31What four letters are shared by these two pictures?
03:35Your time starts now.
03:41That fella on the left has run out of loo roll.
03:43LAUGHTER
03:45OK, your time is up.
04:02Right, let's see whose lights stay on and are still in the game,
04:04and how many people are out.
04:06MUSIC
04:20Right, we lost four people, though. Let's have a look at the answer.
04:23It's T-E-A-R, Tear and Tear.
04:26We've lost Bex Colshaw. Where are you, Bex?
04:28I'm Healy and I'm absolutely devastated.
04:31Are you?
04:32Yeah.
04:33Sorry to hear that.
04:34I thought I was honestly going to take away the £100,000 today.
04:36That is embarrassing on every level.
04:38What did...
04:39I think you've made me very nervous.
04:41LAUGHTER
04:42Oh, it's my fault?
04:43Yeah.
04:44What have you put?
04:45I put eyes.
04:47LAUGHTER
04:49You know the bloke tearing that sheet of paper?
04:52Those things in the behinding.
04:53You know they're buttons, don't you?
04:55LAUGHTER
04:56Oh, well, listen, unlucky, Bex.
04:58I'm sorry about that.
04:59Ashley Bowditch, where are you?
05:00Oh, no way, I'm over here.
05:02All right, Ashley, what did you put?
05:03You don't want to look at my answer.
05:04Can you see my answer?
05:05You can't, can't you?
05:06I've just seen it on the iPad, yes.
05:08I was on the app last night, 5%, 10%, yeah, yeah.
05:10Never mind that.
05:11Tell them your answer.
05:12I can't.
05:13Do you want me to tell them?
05:14Just paper cry.
05:15You've actually put X paper cry.
05:17I did.
05:18I was like panic.
05:19I was like, paper cry, too.
05:20I can't cheat.
05:21I was going to cheat.
05:22I can't cheat.
05:23I'm not allowed to.
05:24I mean...
05:2590% I'm out.
05:26Paper cry.
05:27I mean, four letters.
05:28Do you know what I...
05:29Even paper's pushing it.
05:30But paper, and then you think, is that four?
05:32That's not enough, I'll stick cry on as well.
05:34I've seen two...
05:35I thought it meant two words.
05:37Obviously paper...
05:38Oh, listen, forget about it.
05:39Guys, good luck.
05:40I'm going to sit back here for the next five hours.
05:42LAUGHTER
05:47Well done, Ashley.
05:48Listen, it's difficult.
05:49The pressure.
05:50It's always the pressure on the day.
05:51It's a lot harder in the studio than it is at home, isn't it?
05:54So, there are 96 people left in the game, and the £1,000 of everyone who got the question
06:00wrong goes into the prize pot.
06:02Right, £4,000.
06:07Right, time for the 80% question.
06:10So, this is a question that 80% of the people we asked managed to get right.
06:15Let's see how you get on with this one.
06:17What sport is depicted here?
06:21And your time starts now.
06:23All I know is that they are two things I don't want near my house.
06:29LAUGHTER
06:46OK, your time is up.
06:48Oh, please let someone have put carpet wasp.
06:52Right, let's see who got it right.
06:54Right, we lost three people, let's have a look at the answer.
07:11Rug and B. Rugby.
07:13Somebody who got that wrong is Zoe Carver.
07:15I mean, I've got to ask.
07:16What did you put?
07:17Don't make me say it.
07:18Oh, go on, please say wasp carpet.
07:20No, I'll put Matt B.
07:22Matt B?
07:23I didn't get that.
07:24After I'd put it, then Rugby, yeah.
07:25Matt B?
07:26Because you saw the B, but you just saw Matt?
07:28Yeah, I saw Matt.
07:29How did your family think you were going to do today, Zoe?
07:32Terribly.
07:33Like, my husband basically said that if I didn't get past the first question,
07:36the divorce papers were on the side.
07:37So, I've done that.
07:38You've got past the first question.
07:40Well, listen, unlucky Zoe.
07:42Maisie Sylvester, where are you, Maisie?
07:44I'm sorry for laughing, but I see on the thing what people have written.
07:48Yeah.
07:49And it is quite funny.
07:50Yeah, well, I nearly put Matt B as well.
07:52Instead you put...
07:53Yeah, frisbee.
07:54Frisbee?
07:55Oh, never mind.
07:57OK, let's see what that's done to the prize put.
08:00Right, we are on £7,000.
08:03OK, we're on to the 70% question.
08:07Let's take a look at it.
08:10Which two of these animals joined together to form a word
08:15which is not an animal?
08:17Your time starts now.
08:22Looks like the world's most disappointing to Zoe.
08:24OK, your time is up.
08:43Let's see who got it right.
08:57Oh, dear.
08:58It just went a bit Squid Game.
09:00We've lost 17 people.
09:01Let's have a look at the answer.
09:02Seal and ant.
09:03Sealant.
09:04We've lost Matthew Gilman.
09:05Yeah, over here.
09:06Matthew, what did you put?
09:07I just didn't see it.
09:08I wrote something seal and then my letters sort of mixed up.
09:10I just didn't see it.
09:11You actually put S-E-A-K-C-A.
09:13Yeah.
09:14I mean, if you were going to give yourself a fighting chance
09:16with a guest, you always put the C before the K.
09:18Yeah.
09:19What would you have done with the money?
09:20I would have taken travelling.
09:21I think that would have been...
09:22I would have taken...
09:23I probably would have taken a £10,000.
09:24OK.
09:25Not the grand?
09:26You wouldn't have taken the grand?
09:27No, not a grand.
09:28It's not enough, really, to make a big...
09:29I think...
09:30Yeah.
09:31..it's not enough, really, to make a big...
09:32It's not much.
09:33Yeah.
09:34It's not enough, really, to make a big...
09:35It's not enough.
09:36It's not enough.
09:37Yeah.
09:38Yeah, I wouldn't have taken a £10,000.
09:39I would have taken a £10,000.
09:43You say it's not enough. At the moment, it's quite a lot, isn't it?
09:45Well, it is, to be fair. At the moment, it's nothing.
09:47It's almost like £1,000 more than you've got. Yeah.
09:50Right, let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
09:55We're on £24,000.
09:59OK, time for the 60% question.
10:01Let's take a look.
10:13My friends, how many complete meal deals did Sam qualify for?
10:18Your time starts now.
10:43OK, your time is up.
10:52And it's good to see that Sam is getting his none-a-day.
10:55Right, let's see if you've got it right.
10:58Right, we lost five people there. Let's have a look at the answer.
11:16It's four.
11:18The leftover items, two sandwiches and a drink, do not qualify for the meal deal.
11:23Somebody who got it wrong is Lisa Wilde.
11:25I'm here.
11:26Right behind me, Lisa. You're right, Lisa.
11:29I'm...
11:30My gasp is flabbered, that's what it is.
11:33You look like... I am so disappointed.
11:35You look like your woman who is desperate not to swear at that point.
11:38What did you put?
11:40Three.
11:41How did you do it? What was your system?
11:43Well, I was looking at, like, how many cans of pop are there?
11:46How many sandwiches? And I just got confused.
11:49Well, I'm just...
11:51Your gasp is flabbered.
11:53Is this your first time on television?
11:55No.
11:56Been on a few things before.
11:57Like what?
11:58Tell me, I love this.
11:59What have you been on?
12:00I've been on Pointless.
12:01How did you do it Pointless?
12:02Rubbish.
12:03Was your gasp flabbered?
12:04It was worse than that.
12:05The chap I went on with didn't talk to me for six months.
12:08What was the problem?
12:09So it was an American president whose first name was alphabetically before their surname.
12:16OK.
12:17So I thought Bill Clinton. Stop filming. Stop filming.
12:22Why?
12:23Because it forgot to tell us it was their full name.
12:26So it was William.
12:27Ah.
12:28So they should have then let you through?
12:29They didn't.
12:30Oh, dear.
12:31Do you want me to have a word of Richard?
12:33No, it's all right.
12:34It's in the past, Lee.
12:35It's in the past.
12:36This is my new embarrassment.
12:37OK.
12:38What else have you been on?
12:39Naked attraction?
12:40Not quite.
12:41Oh, that's a shame.
12:42The screen could have just come up.
12:43Yeah.
12:44I wouldn't have picked.
12:45It would have been...
12:46Not if your gasp has been flabbered.
12:47It's been more than flabbered.
12:48Yes.
12:49Oh, dear.
12:50That's possibly a bit too much on a Saturday night.
12:51Sorry.
12:52You're brilliant.
12:53I'm so sorry you're out, Lisa.
12:54Yeah, I'm sorry I'm out as well.
12:55Never mind.
12:56So let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
12:58£29,000.
12:59So it's time for a quick break.
13:00We've lost 29 people here already.
13:01Hope you're doing OK at home.
13:02And don't forget, you can play along on the app.
13:03After the break, we'll be moving closer to seeing
13:04if anyone here can answer the 1% question.
13:05See you in a bit.
13:06See you in a bit.
13:31Welcome back to the 1% Club.
13:36We started off with 100 people and now we're down to 71.
13:40The person who does best here tonight could be going home
13:42with up to £100,000.
13:44So welcome to everyone who's still in the game.
13:47And from now on, we are going to give you the opportunity
13:50to pay for a pass to the next question.
13:52And if you do, your £1,000 will be transferred to the prize pot.
13:55However, if you get as far as the 30% question
13:58without using your pass, you'll get the chance to take your
14:00£1,000 and leave the game.
14:02Right, it's time for the 50% question.
14:05Let's take a look.
14:08Gloria is playing a game where she tells you two truths
14:13and one lie about herself.
14:15Which of these statements is the lie?
14:17And your 30 seconds starts now.
14:19The 30 seconds starts now.
14:20The 30 seconds starts now.
14:21The 30 seconds starts now.
14:26OK, your time is up.
14:27Yeah, great game, Gloria.
14:28Maybe get a PlayStation.
14:29LAUGHTER
14:30Right, let's see who got it right.
14:32MUSIC PLAYS
14:49OK, your time is up.
14:52Yeah, great game, Gloria.
14:53Maybe get a PlayStation.
14:55LAUGHTER
14:56Right, let's see who got it right.
14:58MUSIC PLAYS
15:15Right, we lost six people.
15:17Let's have a look at the answer.
15:18It's C.
15:19C can never be true, as the 29th of February only happens
15:22every four years and 11 is not a multiple of four.
15:26Now, eight people use their pass on this question,
15:29including James Tyson.
15:31Didn't fancy your chances on that one?
15:33I don't know.
15:34I was going to put B, but I thought I'd better just double-check
15:36and I still wasn't sure, so I use the pass.
15:38Very wise.
15:39That's what it's for.
15:40What do you do, James?
15:41I work in the building industry and also do...
15:44I'm a magician.
15:45..do a lot of mentalism tricks as well.
15:47So you could probably predict how well you'll do.
15:50If I get through to the final, I've got a prediction
15:52which I'm happy to share with everybody.
15:54I genuinely said it as a joke, but you have done that.
15:56Yes, I have, yeah.
15:57Where is this prediction?
15:59It's underneath this shirt.
16:00What do you mean it's under the shirt, like in an envelope?
16:02On a T-shirt.
16:03On the T-shirt, under there, is the prediction
16:05of how far you will get tonight?
16:06Absolutely.
16:07And you'll show us...
16:08Yeah, if I get through to the final, I'll show you.
16:11Well, then we know what the prediction is.
16:13No.
16:14It's a little bit more than that.
16:16What if you go out early?
16:17Can we have a look at the prediction anyway?
16:19Definitely not.
16:20Well...
16:21Think again, sunshine, because we're coming to you
16:23if you're out and we want to see that T-shirt.
16:25I've seen the next question.
16:27It's hard.
16:28Start unbuttoning.
16:29Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
16:31We're on £43,000.
16:36OK, it's time for the 45% question.
16:42Let's take a look at it.
16:45What single letter replaces the question marks
16:48to create three words?
16:50OK, your time starts now.
16:52Well, let's take a look at it.
16:53Let's go.
16:54I'll see you next time.
16:55Let's go.
16:56Let's go.
16:57Let's go.
16:58Okay, your time is up.
17:24Right, let's see whose lights are still on.
17:28Right, we lost four people. Let's have a look at the answer.
17:44It's K, Kayak, Kiosk and Nook.
17:47Somebody... Oh, we lost the unbelievable timing.
17:51Oh, hello, it's James Tyson.
17:55Ray, I pushed the wrong button.
17:56You're not very good at sleight of hand, then, are you?
17:58No, definitely not.
17:59James Tyson, the man who's got a prediction on his shirt.
18:03You know what I'm going to ask you, James?
18:05I forgot to put my shirt on.
18:06What kind of mentalist are you?
18:08You haven't forgotten, have you?
18:10I haven't. Come on. Do you want to see it?
18:12Yes, we want to see it.
18:13CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
18:16If you say, I'm going out on the 45% question,
18:19this will be the best bit of TV ever.
18:20I was convinced I was going to get through and win 96k.
18:26I've just won the 1% club, £96,000.
18:30And I slipped with my finger.
18:32I knew it was K, but I just slipped.
18:34Oh, never mind, James. Unlucky.
18:36People have come away here losing nothing at all.
18:38Unfortunately, you've lost the price of a T-shirt as well.
18:41LAUGHTER
18:42Right, let's have a look at what that's done to the prize pot.
18:44£55,000.
18:49CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
18:50OK, it's time for the 40% question.
18:52Let's take a look at it.
18:55Which of these replaces the question mark
18:58to make the name of a country?
19:00OK, your time starts now.
19:02MUSIC PLAYS
19:05I wish I was playing.
19:08I just want to sit down, to be honest.
19:10LAUGHTER
19:11OK, your time is up.
19:35Let's see you've got it right.
19:37MUSIC PLAYS
19:39OK, we lost six people. Let's have a look at the answer.
19:57It is C, star, Costa Rica.
20:01Someone who passed is Jennifer Jowett.
20:03Did you not know or you just weren't sure enough?
20:05I was trying to spell Corsica.
20:08Oh, I see.
20:09I was trying to use an anagram of the cross
20:11and then I pressed pass and then I thought,
20:14do I really want to pass?
20:15And it wasn't quite read.
20:16And then I looked back and I thought,
20:18oh, no, it's crossed to me.
20:19Oh, it's gone.
20:20Yeah.
20:21So never mind.
20:22You really did give us an insight
20:23into what you were thinking there, didn't you?
20:24Yeah.
20:25What made you apply?
20:26Me and my sister applied together originally.
20:28OK.
20:29And she didn't get through and I did, so I'm already winning.
20:33OK.
20:34But we have a really good motto in life.
20:36OK, what's that?
20:37And it is, if you can't figure it out,
20:39chuck it in the bucket and move on.
20:41Surely it is if you can't work it out,
20:43chuck it in the bucket.
20:45Not if you can't work it out, chuck it in the bucket.
20:48Yeah, it is.
20:49I'm not sure that's grammatically correct.
20:51Well, I could say it out loud but you won't be able to air it.
20:53All right, I'll say it and we'll beep it.
20:54OK.
20:55OK.
20:56It's either, if you can't work it out,
20:57chuck it in the bucket.
20:58Yeah.
20:59Or if you can't work it out,
21:00chuck it in the bucket.
21:01LAUGHTER
21:02Right, let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
21:08£63,000.
21:11OK, let's move on to the 35% question.
21:15Here it is.
21:18If you put all five shapes into the grid without rotating them,
21:22what is the letter and number combination
21:24of the only square that won't be used?
21:27And your time starts now.
21:29Time starts now.
21:59OK, your time is up.
22:01Let's see you've got it right and how many people are out.
22:04MUSIC
22:05We lost three people, though.
22:06Let's have a look at the answer.
22:08There it is.
22:09Six.
22:10Six.
22:11Six.
22:12Six.
22:13Six.
22:14Six.
22:15Six.
22:16Six.
22:17Six.
22:18Six.
22:19Six.
22:20Six.
22:21Six.
22:22Six.
22:23Six.
22:24Six.
22:25Six.
22:26Six.
22:27Six.
22:28There it is.
22:29C2.
22:30Someone who got that right is Mivic.
22:32It is Mivic, isn't it?
22:33Yes.
22:34That was a joke because you kept saying your name Mivic.
22:36LAUGHTER
22:37Mivic, you were very doubtful that you were going to do very well.
22:40Yes.
22:41You're still with us and it's the 35% question.
22:44Yeah, I'm kind of surprised, yeah.
22:46Have you used your pass?
22:47No.
22:48So you're still with us, you're doing better than you thought.
22:49Yeah, yeah, yeah.
22:50Hopefully I'll go home with something, but if I don't,
22:52I'm not surprised.
22:54If you go home with nothing, you can say, I went home with nothing,
22:56but on the street, I went home with nothing.
22:58LAUGHTER
22:59So let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
23:05£65,000.
23:06Right, it's time for a quick break.
23:08Well done to everyone still in the game.
23:09We'll see you in a bit when someone here could win up to £100,000.
23:13Welcome back to the 1% Club.
23:26We've been asking questions which have been tested out
23:28on a cross-section of the British public
23:30and we've been whittling down the contestants here tonight
23:32and are left with 52 people with their lights still on.
23:35As a reward, any contestant who hasn't played their pass
23:38and still has the £1,000 now has a choice.
23:40Play on for the big money in the prize pot
23:42or you can take your £1,000 and leave the quiz right now.
23:45So first of all, let's see which players still have their £1,000.
23:48OK, so those of you with your lights on,
23:52you can take your money and leave the show if you want,
23:54so please make your decision now.
23:56OK, so seven of you have decided to take your £1,000 and leave the game,
24:12including Bethany Rota.
24:14What are you going to do with the money?
24:16Well, my plan was to book myself in for some therapy.
24:20Therapy? Yeah, therapy. So hypnosis.
24:22So I have a phobia of fish. Do you?
24:26Yeah, like Finding Nemo, the sea, fishmonger in general.
24:31Hang on, one thing at a time here.
24:33The ones in the fishmonger, they're not even alive.
24:35No, no.
24:36Finding Nemo was a cartoon.
24:38Yeah, I know.
24:39The sea, I'll give you that.
24:41I used to work in a doctor's surgery and there was a girl
24:43who brought in a tuna steak wrapped up
24:45and I was on the phone to a patient
24:47and she walked up behind me and slapped me around the face
24:49with the tuna.
24:50Why?
24:51Just for bants.
24:53For fun?
24:54For fun, yeah.
24:55So I put my patient on hold and just sat and sobbed.
24:57And everyone thought it was hilarious and I obviously didn't.
25:00So I was going to buy myself some hypnosis,
25:03but £1,000 and I treat myself to a paddling pool session.
25:07No fish there.
25:08I'm glad you said the second one because the first one
25:11was quite a dark and disturbing story.
25:13There it is.
25:14So thank you, Bethany.
25:15You're welcome.
25:16So well done to everyone who's got £1,000.
25:17Congratulations.
25:18APPLAUSE
25:20Right, so the rest of you have decided to play on.
25:23Let's see if that gamble will pay off and if any of you
25:25can go all the way and join the 1% Club.
25:27And remember, if you've still got your £1,000,
25:29you can pay for a pass to the next question.
25:32OK, it's time for the 30% question.
25:38Which of the names listed below, when inserted somewhere
25:43into the word parent, makes it into a new word
25:46with a new definition?
25:48And your time starts now.
25:50.
25:51.
25:53.
25:55.
25:57.
26:00.
26:03.
26:04.
26:05.
26:09.
26:13.
26:14.
26:15.
26:16OK, your time is up.
26:22Let's see who got it right.
26:40Right, we lost three people, though.
26:42Let's have a look at the answer.
26:44It is C. Liam, parent becomes Parliament.
26:48Six of you didn't know the answer and you used your pass,
26:51including Zephan Morris.
26:54How you doing? Good, thank you.
26:56You didn't have a clue or you just weren't sure enough?
26:59I pressed pass too quick and I should have just given it a bit more time
27:02because I did see it before the end of the time.
27:05But you'd already played the pass. Yeah, good.
27:07What do you do, Zephan?
27:08I'm a site manager on a construction site for ground workers
27:11and civil engineers.
27:12So you were surrounded by loads of hard hats and all that?
27:14Loads of hard hats, loads of hot heads.
27:16Did you tell them you were coming on?
27:18Yeah, a few of them do know.
27:20But they know me as a different name on site.
27:22Oh, really? What's your name on site?
27:24Billy. Why?
27:26Little old Norfolk.
27:27People like to keep things simple.
27:29So I was an apprentice 20 years ago and he sort of said,
27:31you know, what's your name, boy?
27:33I said, Zephan.
27:34He said, come with me, Billy.
27:35And I was stuck ever since.
27:36You said, what's your name?
27:37You said, Zephan.
27:38He said, come with me, Billy.
27:39Yeah.
27:40I mean, why did he bother even asking your name?
27:42Why didn't he just say, come with me, Billy?
27:43I don't know.
27:44So for the last 20 years, I've been known as Billy on site.
27:47But only on site?
27:48Only on site.
27:49So when I say tonight, you know, Zephan Morris, you've used your pass.
27:52Yeah.
27:53People are over going, that's not Zephan, that's Billy.
27:55Yeah.
27:56OK.
27:57So maybe Billy's still got a pass?
27:59That's a good way of looking at it, yeah.
28:01OK, well done.
28:02You're still with us.
28:03Cheers.
28:04Right, let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
28:09£71,000.
28:11OK, we're at the 25% stage now.
28:16Here's the question.
28:18Which two digits do you need to swap to make the solution
28:21to this maths problem correct?
28:24And your time starts now.
28:51OK, your time is up.
28:56Let's see who got it right.
29:18Right, we lost eight people.
29:19Let's have a look at the answer.
29:22You swapped the nine and the two, and there's the maths.
29:25Someone who used the pass is Madison Arker.
29:28Where are you, Madison?
29:29Hi.
29:30Didn't know it or just wasn't sure enough?
29:32I was going to put that and then I didn't, and I'm really annoyed
29:35at myself because I got it afterwards.
29:37Yeah, but if you don't know it, that's what it's for, the pass.
29:39What do you do, Madison?
29:40I'm a teaching assistant in a secondary school.
29:42What did they think you would do before you came here?
29:45Did you tell them you were coming on?
29:46I'm at a doctor's appointment.
29:49Oh, so you haven't told them.
29:51Can you cut that bit out, please?
29:54100% not.
29:56You didn't just tell the kids, you actually told the school
29:58you had a doctor's appointment.
29:59Yeah.
30:00And the thing is, if they'd seen you on television,
30:03they would just assume this was filmed on a different day,
30:06like the weekend.
30:07Yeah.
30:08Now you told them.
30:09Well, listen, good luck.
30:10I hope the doctor's worked out.
30:13Do let us know what the result was.
30:15Someone else who got it right is Ian Fellows.
30:17Hello, Ian.
30:18Have you used your pass?
30:19I've not yet, no.
30:20Another one in a very strong position.
30:21What are you doing?
30:22I'm a vicar in Greater Manchester.
30:24Are you?
30:25Yeah.
30:26Where's the dog collar?
30:27In my back pocket.
30:28Is it really?
30:29Have you been a vicar long?
30:3025 years.
30:31Is it your job to spread the word rather than hide it in your back pocket?
30:34Oh.
30:35Day off today.
30:36I've not chugged a sickie to be here.
30:37Oh, I know.
30:38You have lied in front of a vicar.
30:41He's got the cut of your jib, madam.
30:44Have you ever pulled a sickie as a vicar?
30:46You have, haven't you?
30:48That is fantastic.
30:49How can you pull a sickie if you're a vicar?
30:52How does that work?
30:53I'm going to kind of not say anything about that.
30:56Well, that clearly means you have.
30:58I have, yes.
30:59Really?
31:00Yeah, yeah.
31:01Oh, I can't come into that.
31:02Bit of possession.
31:03What are you going to do with the money?
31:05I've just finished climbing most of the Wainwrights in the lake, so I'm thinking I'm going to
31:09buy a canoe and try fishing around in the lakes in the lakes.
31:13How many Wainwrights have you done?
31:15214.
31:16So you've done them all?
31:17Yeah.
31:18Because I genuinely am trying to do that.
31:20And I've spent four years doing it.
31:22Do you know how many I've done?
31:23214?
31:24Three.
31:25Ah!
31:26OK, well, well done.
31:27You're still with us.
31:28Right, let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
31:31£77,000.
31:32We've got 54 people scoring the game and are down for the 20% question now.
31:42Let's take a look.
31:44In week one, Harry is at number one in the charts and Justin is at number 10.
31:51If, each week, Harry moves down two places and Justin moves up two places, in which week
31:58will Justin overtake Harry?
32:00Your time starts now.
32:14OK, your time is up.
32:34Let's see you've got it right.
32:36Right, we lost 15 on that one. Let's have a look at the answer.
33:00It's week four.
33:02There's the graphic to prove it.
33:04Someone who got it right is Kasim Sadiq.
33:06What are you, Kasim?
33:07Yeah, yeah.
33:08Well done, Kasim.
33:10Have you still got your pass?
33:11Yeah.
33:12Wow, you have as well.
33:13What do you do?
33:14Work in a pharmacy.
33:15And how did your colleagues or family think you would get on today?
33:19I didn't tell anyone.
33:21You've not told anyone?
33:22Just my mum and dad.
33:23Have you phoned in on a sickie?
33:25Yeah, kind of, yeah.
33:26Oh, you have as well?
33:27Yeah.
33:28Very hard to phone in with a sickie if you're a pharmacist, because they just
33:31said, come in, we've got just the thing for you.
33:33I was like, nothing will sort this out.
33:35It's really bad.
33:36Oh, my God.
33:37It's terminal.
33:39OK, great.
33:41That's it.
33:42Keep it light, Kasim.
33:43Brilliant.
33:44Good luck to you, Kasim.
33:45And good luck to everybody else who's still with us.
33:48Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
33:50We're on £84,000.
33:53We are getting close to the end.
33:57It's now time for the 15% question.
33:59Right, let's take a look at this one.
34:02There is one single letter that you can use to replace a letter in each of the words below,
34:08so the first one becomes a different food, the second one becomes a different body part,
34:13and the third one becomes a different animal.
34:15What is the letter?
34:16And your time starts now.
34:18It starts now.
34:49OK, your time is up. Let's see whose lights are still on.
35:10Right, we lost five people on that one. Let's have a look at the answer.
35:14This is R. P's becomes purr, waist becomes wrist, cap becomes rat.
35:18Francesca Powell, you got it right. Hello, Francesca. Hi.
35:21What a lovely little delicate wave you gave us there.
35:24What do you do, Francesca? I'm a student.
35:26I've literally just finished my A levels. How old are you?
35:2918. Are you nervous? Are you OK? I'm terrified.
35:32Are you? Do you have a pass? Yes, I do.
35:34And you still have a pass. You're one of the six, are you?
35:37Oh, congratulations. So what are you going to do with the money if you win?
35:40Well, I'm going to uni next year, so the goal is to not be broke at uni.
35:44So my mum's so jealous that I'm here tonight.
35:46Does she want to come on? Yeah, she loves you, loves the show.
35:49Oh, I love your mum. She'll love it.
35:52What's your mum called? Gemma. Where are you from? Sussex.
35:57Which town? Orsham. Oh, my gosh, I have met her.
36:01Just over 18 years ago, actually.
36:07Well, listen, good look. Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
36:13£87,000. Right.
36:16We are down to our last 14 players.
36:19After the break, we'll find out which of our remaining contestants
36:21could go on and play the 1% question.
36:23See you in a bit.
36:36Welcome back to the 1% Club.
36:37We are very nearly at the point where we will discover who our winner will be.
36:40Now, here's how the end of the game works.
36:42Whoever does the best here tonight will win £10,000.
36:45But if they're feeling brave, they can risk their £10,000
36:48by trying to answer the 1% question.
36:50Get it right and they will win everything in the prize pot,
36:53which is currently sitting at £87,000.
36:59And remember, the six of you who still have your £1,000,
37:02you can pay for a pass, but you can't use it on the 1% question.
37:06But if you've still got it at the 1% question,
37:08then you get to keep that £1,000 no matter what happens.
37:11So there are only 14 people left in the quiz,
37:14and it's now time for the 10% question.
37:18Let's take a look.
37:20Going from image A to image B,
37:23how many emojis have not been rotated 90 degrees clockwise?
37:28The time starts now.
37:30The time starts now.
37:31The time starts now.
37:33The time starts now.
37:34The time starts now.
37:35The time takes time to soon,
37:36then can come back.
37:37The time starts now.
37:38The time starts now.
37:39OK, time is up. Let's see who got it right.
38:09Right, we lost nine people. Let's have a look at the answer.
38:30It's just one. The highlighted emoji has been rotated 180 degrees.
38:35Oh, no, we've lost Mivik. Mivik Alenu, where are you?
38:39Oh, you were doing so well. You got to the 10% question
38:42and you thought you weren't even going to get very far at all.
38:45Yeah, I'm cooked either way. I don't know what to say.
38:48OK. Well done, Mivik. You got a lot further than you thought.
38:51My fiancé was really hoping that I'd bring something home at least,
38:54but I had no hope anyway, so I think I'm good.
38:57She'll be proud of you. Well done, Mivik.
39:00OK, let's see what that's going to the prize box.
39:05We're on £93,000. OK, it's getting very tense in here.
39:10We are down to the 5% question.
39:14Let's have a look at it.
39:18There are two commonly used two-letter words that share the same letters.
39:23If you take the opposites of those two words,
39:26you should now have two three-letter words.
39:29What are those new words?
39:32OK, your time starts now.
39:35What are those new words?
39:37That's the 11-letter word.
39:38I'm so sure.
39:39By the way,
39:40I am so sure you want to have a point.
39:40It's not your turn, it's not your turn.
39:41It's not your turn, it's not your turn.
39:42You've got, it's not your turn.
39:43There's changes to people and you are going to be awake.
39:45Let's keep the opposite.
39:47The 11-letter word.
39:48That's great.
39:49Woo, you've got close.
39:50It's not your turn.
39:51We are a presence.
39:52I want to know you.
39:53You've got close to the 5-letter word.
39:54You've got close to the 5-letter view.
39:55You've got close.
39:56You've got close to the 5-letter word.
39:57You can't see that last year.
39:58All the time comes to me.
40:00OK, your time is up. Let's see if you've got it right.
40:27OK, we've lost two people, though. Let's have a look at the answer.
40:30It is yes and off. The two-letter words are no and on,
40:34and their opposites are yes and off.
40:36So we have lost, unfortunately, Joshua Coltman and Becca Wallace,
40:40but we have our finalists. Congratulations, Ian Fellows,
40:43Kassim Sadiq and Francesca Powell.
40:45You made it through to the 1% question. Come down and join me.
40:49APPLAUSE
40:57Because you've done so well and made it to our final question,
40:59you win a share of £10,000.
41:01But now you all face a dilemma.
41:03You can leave the show tonight and take your share,
41:05which works out at...
41:07£3,333.
41:09Or you can risk it all by attempting the 1% question.
41:13Get it right and you win your share of everything in the prize pot,
41:17which stands at...

42:41OK, your time is up.
43:11Right, your answers are locked in, so you can't change them, so we may as well ask what
43:15you put. OK, we'll start with Kasim. What did you put? Badge. Ian, what did you put? Badge. Francesca, what did you put? Badge. My money's on Badge. I mean, obviously, it's lovely that you're all supporting them, but it could mean they've all got it wrong as well. Let's have a look at the answer.
43:41It's Badge.
43:46Congratulations, you are the winners, and get a shirt of everything in the prize, hot, which is £31,000 each.
43:57Congratulations, guys. Let's have another look at the answer. The L and the R represent left and right and dictate where you go at each junction, and it spells out Badge. I would, of course, like to remind our vicar that money cannot buy you happiness.
44:16No, but it can buy you a better class of sadness.
44:20That's a fair point.
44:22Congratulations, you three. You're all in the 1% Club. Good night.
