00:00How can a doctor do what they did to me? Don't even lose their job. I am permanently disabled.

00:06I got burned alive from medication. I deserve justice. I deserve to win.

00:12This woman developed Stevens-Johnson syndrome after being improperly medicated.

00:17How was I disabled from Lamictal? Well, for starters, it burned all of my skin off.

00:22I had to learn how to walk again. I still don't walk normally. It burned my eyes.

00:26So now I'm legally blind. It scarred the inside of my throat, so I choke on everything all the time.

00:32I've needed, I don't know, 20 reconstructive surgeries because of all of this.

00:36She spent 37 days in a medically induced coma after reacting to the medicine,

00:41and even won a substantial verdict in court. But then the defendants appealed.

00:46I f***ing lost! Because of some stupid f***ing red legal tape f***ing,

00:51judges would not serve Ricalia. These people did not even do the bare minimum of their f***ing job.

00:56I can't do it no more, y'all. Like, I didn't been positive for 11 years!

01:13This was an appeal, and it's with the Supreme Court, so there's nothing else I can do.

01:23I'm rageful because it was only during the trial that I even found out how racist this s*** is to begin with.

01:30I'm rageful because this lady said she would do it again.

01:34She's not even sorry about what she did.

01:36And I only understand how complicated the legal system is because I have been dealing with this for 11 years.

01:41The court case was rigged against her from the start, and this is why.

01:46They did not follow FDA regulations.

01:49They did not warn me of the potential of this causing Steven Johnson.

01:53Pharmacists didn't even give me a f***ing patient counsel.

01:55But because I'm a black woman, and these are white people that we're dealing with,

01:59none of them lost their job.

02:01None of them lost their license.

02:02Kalia lost every f***ing thing.

02:04The aftermath of the effects has left her with serious, life-changing complications.

02:09This took away my ability to have children.

02:12I have neurological damage, heart damage, extreme PTSD.

02:17Not to mention the fact that this stress has given me a nervous system disorder.

02:22I have sensory issues that I didn't have before.

02:25Now I have an autoimmune condition, which means I can't be around anybody sick or anything that could potentially get me sick.

02:31Because guess what? Viruses can re-trigger this f***ing Steven Johnson's now that I've had it already.

02:36I didn't have Steven Johnson's before this happened.

02:40People online have offered words of encouragement.

02:42But in the face of the powerful and protective American legal system, it's just not enough.

02:48Please, stop asking me to be strong. I need to be safe.

02:52I am on my own out here in this world. I don't have no support from nobody.

02:56I can't keep fighting like this. My brain is literally tired.
