00:00coach you know you mentioned you're always excited to get these players back get these
00:19good players back you know back from injury is that a tightrope that you have to walk at all
00:24where you're going to talk to a guy and just say hey i know you got this opportunity and you stepped
00:29in and you did everything the right way it's just not your time yet is that a tough conversation to
00:33have at all of just like hey there's nothing you're doing wrong you're doing great when you
00:36step in here but you know we we've got to get back to to the guys we have in place here
00:40so you they understand it it's having a hard conversation it's explaining to them hey look
00:49you've done a really good job you've maximized your opportunities we're so proud of you for that
00:54uh you know we just see it's such a bright future for you but i really do believe in the old adage
00:59that you know you shouldn't lose a starting job because of an injury uh now i do believe this i
01:04mean if you go in and you perform well when someone's out with an injury um you earn more
01:09playing time uh doesn't mean you have to start doesn't mean that you have to take someone's job
01:13but uh again if you believe in the mantra which we do of compete every day and um you know trying
01:19to be the best version of yourself every day in practice and every day in games uh you earn more
01:23opportunities not necessarily a starting job
