00:00John Martínez, profesor en el prestigioso campus de Berkeley de la Universidad Pública de California,

00:05habla en exclusiva con Euronews sobre los descubrimientos que han llevado su equipo,

00:08conformado por sus compañeros John Clark y Michel de Bouguet, a ganar el Premio Nobel de Física en 2025.

00:14Los tres consiguieron recrear un efecto físico fuera del ámbito microscópico para realizar experimentos de cuántica.

00:38y cómo la nueva generación de científicos puede cambiar el mundo.

00:41One of the issues here is that as people are building the technology, since it's more of a private enterprise,

00:51you tend not to want to share what you learn.

00:54I think part of the problem here is the scientists are very optimistic,

01:00but also a little bit naive about how hard it is to build a system and all the engineering that has to be done

01:09and all the different technologies you need to do to get it to work.

01:24It's really fantastic for young people that there's a lot of job opportunities to build quantum.

01:30I mean, this was kind of unheard of when I was being a student.

01:36And this is really nice.

01:37So now all I can say is if you're interested in it, join a good group and generally people get their Ph.D.,

01:45but we have non-Ph.D.s that contribute greatly to our company.

01:49So, you know, one particular person has a background in computer science,

01:56does all our networking and contributes fantastically to it with his own skills, skills that we don't have.
