Ingleborough trail: Embankment with lake opens to public along Yorkshire Dales route for first time in its 54-year history

An embankment with a lake along Ingleborough Nature Trail has been opened to the public for the first time since its founding in 1970.

00:40 She's kindly agreed to come and open the new track across the dam for us today.

00:45 As I've said, we've long felt that the views from the historic dam across the lake, up to Thwaites,

00:53 and also looking back down the waterfalls, where you can see into the three-part waterfall system, should be shared.
