Prime Minister Anthony Albanese responds to questions the Parliamentary Sports Club's reported gambling links, after criticism by ACT senator David Pocock.

00:00Is it appropriate that you are the president of the Australian Club of Sports?

00:06Yeah, as the Prime Minister.

00:08Comes with the gig, a whole lot of things come with the gig.

00:11This is a follow-up of David Pocock, this question whether you should be the president

00:14given that the club is on the Federal Hobbyist Register.

00:19Well, I'd say that's David Pocock, being David Pocock, getting himself in a story.

00:26So, you know, this is a voluntary organisation that raises money for charity.

00:32Sponsored by him, do you have any issue with that?

00:38Well, if you think I'm spending my day-to-day time,

00:43the amount of time I have spent on the Australian Parliament Sports Club this year is zero.

00:50I have participated in zero events in terms of sports, just because I'm a bit busy.

00:56But I'll tell you what, things like playing football, as they do with the people who sell the big issue

01:04and homeless people, is a good thing.

01:07A bit of fun playing State of Origin that David Pocock has participated in.

01:13You know, last time I did participate, David Pocock was participating as well.

01:18So, that's a question for Mr Pocock.

01:26I'm not a boiler party for the people who have entered into this room.
