In a stunning declaration, President Donald Trump announced a new initiative to rebuild Gaza using financial contributions from wealthy Gulf nations. During a televised address, Trump claimed that countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar have agreed to fund major reconstruction and humanitarian projects as part of the Gaza peace deal. The announcement marks a major diplomatic victory for Trump, positioning the U.S. as the key broker of post-war stability and economic recovery in the region

00:00Gaza is going to be slowly redone.
00:04You have tremendous wealth in that part of the world by certain countries.
00:08And just a small part of that, what they make will do wonders for Gaza.
00:16And I think you're going to see some tremendous countries stepping up
00:20and putting up a lot of money and taking care of things.
00:23Gaza is going to be slowly redone.
00:27You have tremendous wealth in that part of the world by certain countries.
00:32And just a small part of that, what they make will do wonders for Gaza.
00:40And I think you're going to see some tremendous countries stepping up
00:44and putting up a lot of money and taking care of things.
00:47So I want to express my tremendous gratitude to the leaders of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey
00:52for helping us reach this incredible day and for being there.
00:57They were there with us all the way.
00:58And, of course, as you know, Saudi Arabia and Jordan and so many.
01:03I will tell you, President Erdogan was personally involved in dealing with Hamas and some of the others.
01:11He's been great.
01:12They've all been really amazing.
01:15Indonesia's been amazing.
01:16I think the attack was very important on Iran because, let's say that didn't happen,
01:23they'd probably by now have a nuclear weapon, numerous nuclear weapons.
01:28And therefore, even if we signed a deal, there'd be a big dark cloud over it and it wouldn't be the same thing.
01:34So Iran's different.
01:35But Iran wants to work on peace now.
01:38They've informed us.
01:40And they've acknowledged that they are totally in favor of this deal.
01:43They think it's a great thing.
01:45So we appreciate that.
01:46And we'll work with Iran.
01:48As you know, we have major sanctions on Iran and lots of other things.
01:51We'd like to see them be able to rebuild their country, too.
01:55But they can't have a nuclear weapon.
01:57Timing, the exact timing, we're going to go to Egypt where we'll have a signing, an additional signing.
02:04We've already had a signing representing me, but we're going to have an official signing.
02:10And the amazing thing is all of the countries over there, from Qatar to Saudi Arabia to UAE, to all of them,
02:18I mean, the rich ones, the less than rich ones, they've all come together, something which is amazing, actually.
02:24As you know, last night we reached a momentous breakthrough in the Middle East,
02:29something that people said was never going to be done.
02:32We ended the war in Gaza and really, on a much bigger basis, created peace.
02:38And I think it's going to be a lasting peace, hopefully an everlasting peace.
02:42Peace in the Middle East.
02:43We secured the release of all of the remaining hostages, and they should be released on Monday or Tuesday.
02:50Getting them is a complicated process.
02:52I'd rather not tell you what they have to do to get them.
02:55There are places you don't want to be.
02:58But we are getting the hostages back on Tuesday, Monday or Tuesday.
03:05And that will be a day of joy.
03:07I'm going to try and make a trip over.
03:09We're going to try and get over there.
03:11And then we'll go around the room.
03:13We'll go quickly.
03:14We're going to go quickly if we can, because we have a lot of things to do,
03:17including I won't be spending that much time here, because I'll be leaving fairly soon for the Middle East.
03:24And I'm very honored to be involved with that, I'll tell you.
03:28It's a great thing.
03:28Great thing for our country.
03:29People are so happy about it.
03:31I've never experienced anything quite like it.
03:34I've never seen such universal praise for being able to do something.
03:40It's something that nobody thought was possible.
03:42Well, then we're going to end up having peace in the Middle East.
03:45Who would have thought?
