00:00Hey GQ, this is Pastor Tan and this is how I spent my first million.
00:07So the first thing I spent was 80k on jewelry. I came to draft night with a PS2 pendant. Shout
00:23to my boy Leo Frost for putting it all together. Leo, I think he's very creative. You know,
00:29when me and him went to the drawing board to put the pieces together, it was definitely
00:33a cool moment. We knew it was going to be a special night and why not make a one-of-one
00:38piece. It went viral. All the magazines, GQ, it lights up by the way. And I also got some
00:45girls from him as well too. I still got those pieces together. I barely wear it. I mean,
00:50I don't try to be too flashy when I pop out sometimes. I wear pretty subtle pieces like
00:54this one right here, this emerald tennis chain. So, you know, I try to not flash too much
01:00with my jewelry, keep it low key.
01:05So the next thing I spent my first million on was 100k to charity. I'm big on giving back
01:15to the community. My pops, he was a big role model. He was also a class act in the community.
01:21So seeing the way how he handled things, it definitely inspired me to create a foundation
01:27in my home. My foundation mission is to level the playing field for students who's at a financial
01:33disadvantage compared to their suburban peers, you know, to allow them to achieve whatever
01:40they want in the future. I started a STEM program, which is a program that granted kids specialized
01:47classrooms. STEM stands for science, technology, English, arts and math. So I put all of those
01:55specific pillars together to create a specialized room for the kids. To accomplish that was so great.
02:01Why not spend 100k and give it towards charity?
02:04$250k. I bought my mom a nice 2022 Range Rover. It's something that she's always wanted. Her unwavering
02:23love and support is very valuable to me. So, you know, why not show my support, give it back to her.
02:28This was a car that she always talked about. I remember she was telling me how bad she wanted
02:34this car. The price was a little hefty, I ain't gonna lie, but it's worth it at the end of the day.
02:38You know, you got to do it all for moms. I got like a nice little kit added to it, a nice little
02:43carbon fiber kit, a red ribbon. I had a driver to drive it through and I surprised her. She was crying.
02:50I mean, you know, moms get pretty emotional. Yeah, I definitely enjoyed that moment. My family was all
02:56surprised, shocked. Moms came out crying. That was special and something that I would definitely want
03:03to relive again for sure.
03:07Spend some good earned money on myself. You know what I mean? Show myself some love. So I spent 300k
03:14on my first vehicle, my first whip. It was a Mercedes GLE 63S Coupe. It's always been my dream car.
03:25I always loved Mercedes and this was the one ride I needed to have. And to add on to it, I had my boy
03:32Herm, Roadshow International out in Atlanta. I had him deck it out, had him fully customize it. From the
03:38exterior, I had it wrapped, interior all blue. I even have my PS2 logo. Special speakers in
03:44the back. If I was to, you know, turn the volume up just a tad bit, I mean, the speakers, you could just
03:51hear it, all the surround sound through the vehicle. So everything was decked out. 4G auto rims. It was
03:56my dream car. So I was like, if I'm going to get my dream car, I might as well do my big one.
04:02I still have it. Ride it every day. Pretty good on miles still, you know, so I love that car, man.
04:08Next dream car, a Rolls Royce. That's my next dream one. Very classy, very luxurious vehicle,
04:15a nice ride. So it's something I got to have and add to the next collection for sure.
04:24So the next big purchase was a down payment on my crib, which was 200K.
04:30Obviously you need that crib to add in touch. I got a nice crib out in Colorado. Put down 200K,
04:40you know, a nice reasonable amount. I mean, obviously a crib is very beneficial. You need one,
04:47a nice crib to relax in. I normally just be in a crib all day, doing nothing, spending time
04:53with me and my family. So it's definitely worth it. I got my own little man cave in the basement
04:59where I play my games at, where I spend most of my time at. Just staying cozy, chilling, laid back.
05:05I got a gym down there, a pool table. So it's like a nice man cave where I spend time to myself and have
05:11fun as well. So I spent 80K on clothing. And if you know me, I consider myself a fashionable person.
05:24You know, I like to style out on game day, putting out pieces together. You know, you look good,
05:29you feel good, you play good. I believe in that motto and that saying. So every Sunday,
05:33I got to come out looking sharp, looking dapper. I had this nice Louis Vuitton fur coat that I
05:39walked out of Halloween. I'd say like two years ago, I had the Chucky mask on with it too.
05:43It was pretty dope. I had spent it on another JaVinci jacket. It was like a purple fur coat.
05:50It's on my Instagram post. Go check it out. Yeah, man, I just love fashion. I think what it brings
05:55to the table, it just represents me staying classy, staying sharp, and staying smooth at the same time.
06:00So a lot of my personality comes out when I wear fashion. I probably went over another 100K
06:07on more clothes as well too. But, you know, we could talk about that another time.
06:12I'm looking to add to more of my bag collection. I got a lot of Goyard,
06:15crossbody bags, a lot of duffel bags as well too. So I think I'm gonna add a little bit to the Goyard
06:21accessories.
06:25Last thing I would say is for all you that's watching this video, be financially responsible.
06:31Fortunately for me, I got a financial team with me. It's always a good thing to have a good team
06:36on your side because, you know, you spend money, you don't realize what I could save on, what I can
06:41invest in. Not only would it set you up for the future, but it will teach you how to finance your
06:46money the right way.
