00:30I'm Tom Morris, Jr., and this is Fugitives Caught on Take.
00:59Shots fired! Shots fired!
01:01Earlier that day, police received a hit from a block camera reporting a stolen pickup in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
01:15Undercover officers called for backup after spotting the truck with four suspects inside.
01:21Soon, multiple units, including officers Travis Marks and Timothy Steed, pulled into the complex.
01:28And tell me to pull out ahead of you.
01:32We don't have time. We're coming in hot now.
01:34But as they approached the suspects...
01:36Just as the officers moved to block the truck in, the driver pulled out and rammed one of the cruisers.
01:50The driver and a passenger jumped out of the truck and took off on foot.
02:02A third suspect fell out of the truck...
02:14Nearly getting crushed when the vehicle rolled off the hood of the cruiser.
02:20A fourth suspect, who was armed, then exited the truck running in the opposite direction of the first two.
02:30Now, as officers Steed and Justin Gulley chase after the first two suspects, they hear gunshots.
02:44The two officers spot the fourth suspect running the opposite way and still holding a gun.
02:51They take cover before firing at him...
02:56...and then give chase.
02:59The third suspect, still under the truck, doesn't move and is quickly captured by Officer Marks.
03:05Stay on the f***ing ground. Don't f***ing move.
03:09Go with Kevin now. He's got the shooter.
03:12Go!
03:14Don't f***ing move.
03:16As the suspect under the truck is detained, officers catch up with the driver of the vehicle.
03:22We got one more gun. Come on, hang on.
03:24He's the f***ing ground.
03:25I'm not going to be the...
03:26I'm not going to be aggressive.
03:28I'm not going to be aggressive. Sorry, I'm closing.
03:29You're in the f***ing world.
03:31You're the f***ing man.
03:33With two suspects now in custody,
03:35officers continue to pursue the armed fourth suspect between buildings.
03:40He's running north! He's running north!
03:41He's running north!
03:42He's running north!
03:43He's running north!
03:44He's going to be running west of the complex!
03:46And towards the David Busters!
03:48He dropped his gun over here by the building.
03:51He's wearing an all-black, black jacket.
03:52He took off his hat.
03:53Black male.
03:58Officers running through the complex soon spot the suspect in the distance.
04:03Don't you f***ing move!
04:04Get on the ground now!
04:06What a gunpoint!
04:07South-West corner!
04:08He's on a white shirt!
04:09But get on the f***ing ground!
04:11Face down!
04:12Don't you f***ing move!
04:14Are you behind the building near the fence corner?
04:16As Officer Gully approaches, other officers attend to the suspect's gunshot wounds.
04:21Oh, f***ing move!
04:22I don't know.
04:23I don't know.
04:24There's an ambulance.
04:25Where are you hit at?
04:26I'm outside.
04:27Okay.
04:28What is your name?
04:29Eric.
04:30Eric what?
04:31There's no one up in the shoulder, one up in the left lung area.
04:35Just keep on breathing, man. You'll be all right.
04:37Officers have now detained three of the four suspects.
04:40The suspect caught under the truck was ID'd as 19-year-old Deontay Moore, who was already
04:46a suspect in a double murder case from a few months prior.
04:50He was arrested and soon charged with two counts of capital murder for that case and
04:54is currently being held on a $1.5 million bond.
04:58Moore was not charged in this case.
05:00The suspect who ran with the gun was ID'd as 17-year-old Eric Lampkin Scarborough.
05:07He was shot twice, taken to the hospital, treated, and released into police custody.
05:12He was charged with having a prohibited weapon.
05:15Per the Texas criminal justice system, Lampkin Scarborough will be charged as an adult.
05:21The driver, 21-year-old Damon Price, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault of a public servant
05:28and evading arrest.
05:30He was initially held on $50,000 bond before posting a reduced bond of $5,000.
05:37All three cases are currently pending.
05:40As for the suspect who exited the vehicle second, he's still at large.
05:45No officers were injured during the incident, and police recovered four guns at the scene.
05:54Next, we're in Sacramento County, California, where deputies and highway patrol officers,
06:00including one on a motorcycle, are in pursuit of a suspect wanted for fleeing and eluding.
06:07Earlier, a highway patrol officer tried conducting a traffic stop on a car that was speeding.
06:14But when the suspect took off, a high-speed chase ensued.
06:26A sheriff's deputy and a canine officer soon joined in the chase.
06:30Now, the suspect weaves dangerously in and out of traffic at increasingly higher speeds.
06:36But just as the officer on the motorcycle closes in, the fugitive's erratic driving finally catches up with him.
06:50The driver slams his car into a biker and then crashes in a grassy embankment on the side of the highway.
07:07Traffic comes to a complete stop as officers and deputies pull up amid the scattered debris and the injured biker.
07:17Suddenly, before officers can move in, the suspect exits his vehicle, brandishing a large knife.
07:27Hey! Get down!
07:29Hey, stay in the car! You're gonna get bit! Get on the ground! You're gonna get bit!
07:32Get on the ground! You're gonna get bit! Get on the ground! You're gonna get bit!
07:34Drop! Drop it!
07:35Drop it!
07:36The suspect then, strangely, skips toward the biker.
07:40Drop it!
07:41Hey! Get down!
07:46When the suspect ignores commands to drop the knife.
07:49Hey! Drop! Drop it!
07:51The deputy fires two shots.
07:54And he falls to the ground, mere inches from the injured biker, knife still in hand.
08:00Stop!
08:02Drop it!
08:03Drop it!
08:04Drop it!
08:05Drop it!
08:06Drop the knife!
08:07Drop the knife!
08:08The suspect seems to have been neutralized.
08:11But then, suddenly...
08:13The suspect gets up and makes a move toward the biker.
08:23And officers open fire.
08:24We have a 9-on-1 and the shots fired.
08:25The officers are okay.
08:26Suspect down.
08:27Start code 3 fire.
08:28Police found 80.
08:29Used to greenback.
08:30Follow me up there.
08:31I'll kick the knife out of his hand.
08:32Go ahead.
08:33Officers and a deputy carefully approached the fallen fugitive, who's still holding the
08:50knife.
08:51And start two medics.
08:56One for the suspect and one for an involved motorcycle.
09:00What's your name?
09:03Officers recover the 6-inch blade, secure the scene, and medics arrive to treat the biker
09:13and the suspect later identified as 36-year-old Zachary Wolfscott.
09:18Wolfscott was taken to a hospital where he was soon pronounced dead.
09:22The biker, who broke 11 ribs, both clavicles, one of his knees, and both hands, was also transported
09:30to a nearby hospital where he spent 10 days in the intensive care unit and eventually made a full recovery.
09:40Next, we're in Onalaska, Wisconsin, where officers are pursuing a suspect for eluding and obstructing an officer.
09:48Earlier that evening, Officer Tyler Tilges was on patrol when he reported a car weaving in between lanes on the highway, speeding and stopping in the middle of an intersection.
10:00B Highway 16, Madary Lane Overpass, Red Grand Am.
10:05Officer Tilges initiated a traffic stop and approached the car, which was also occupied by a passenger.
10:14Hey. Hello.
10:15Officer Tilges, Onalaska, please.
10:17I'm stopping you for a couple things.
10:18First, your speed.
10:20You've got 54 and the 405 here.
10:22And then, when you're turning there over by Wal-Mart Woodman's, you, like, stopped in the middle of the road there.
10:28And you've been kind of swerving all over your lane.
10:31What?
10:32Is there any reason for any of that?
10:33I don't know.
10:34You got anything to drink tonight?
10:36No.
10:37I still don't have a drink.
10:38I just don't have a drink.
10:39I just don't have a drink.
10:40I don't need a drink anymore.
10:41Okay.
10:42You guys, can I get both your guys' IDs?
10:44All right.
10:45.
10:46You got a license?
10:47No.
10:48Okay.
10:49Any reason there's a liquor bottle on the floor?
10:50That's what we just bought.
10:51You know, you just bought that too?
10:53Yeah.
10:54Buying and never opened it.
10:55Okay.
10:56Yeah.
10:57Yeah, it doesn't look open to me.
10:59I don't want something to drink it, though.
11:01Yeah?
11:02I ain't got a license.
11:03Okay.
11:04Well, I got to see what's going on first.
11:06Hang tight, okay?
11:09As the officer looked up their info, Deputy Trevor Carlson arrived as backup.
11:15What's up?
11:16I'm going to look them up here and see what we got.
11:19Officer Tilga soon discovered that the driver, 43-year-old James Leo Sibilla, was already
11:26out on bond for an OWI case and had previously been convicted of battery against his passenger.
11:32So they both have no contacts with each other.
11:35Well, I'm going to back up and pull him out and talk to him.
11:38Probably run him through tests just because his driving was just not right.
11:42But before the officer could even exit his vehicle, the driver made a move.
11:51Both officers took up pursuit.
11:55306, 1080, heading towards the cross on Highway 16, speeds about 70 miles per hour.
12:02Happy 70 miles per hour towards the cross.
12:06We're up to 90, light traffic.
12:10Now, as they call it in, the driver makes a surprise move.
12:14306, he turned off his lights.
12:16Happy turned off lights.
12:21Terminate.
12:24306, copy.
12:3116, sunset, terminated.
12:33A little over a mile into the pursuit, the officers back off, citing the suspect's speed
12:39as a danger to the community.
12:41But later, other Onalaska officers in the area locate the suspect's car abandoned on this
12:47resident's front lawn.
12:49As they inspect the vehicle, they find an air pistol.
12:53Now, deputies from the La Crosse County Sheriff's Department and Wisconsin State Police have
12:58joined Onalaska PD to help track down the suspect.
13:02You guys should go for a hike.
13:04There's a bunch of barns and sheds back on that property.
13:11Officers fan out and begin searching the heavily wooded area behind the neighborhood.
13:17These are deer sharks.
13:18They didn't come up here.
13:20After about an hour of searching, an officer finally spots the driver.
13:25Stop!
13:26He's up here.
13:27He's moving up here somewhere.
13:28He's got to be laying down.
13:29He's not breaking any sticks anymore.
13:33Finally, after officers worked their way through some heavy brush, they find the driver laying
13:40on the ground.
13:41You all right?
13:42That's not what hurts.
13:43What hurts?
13:44My head.
13:45My head.
13:46My head.
13:47My head.
13:48Got anything on you?
13:49Nothing?
13:50Just your phone.
13:51Just your phone.
13:52No.
13:53I don't know.
13:54No.
13:55No.
13:56No.
13:57No.
13:58No.
13:59No.
14:00No.
14:01No.
14:04No.
14:05No.
14:06No.
14:07No.
14:08No.
14:09No.
14:10No phone.
14:13Nothing? Just your phone?
14:18My neck.
14:253.30, we've got the mail.
14:28The driver seems to have injured himself while fleeing on foot.
14:32And as they struggle to remove him from the heavy brush,
14:36other officers find the passenger
14:42who'd also been hiding in the woods.
14:44We got the female animal now.
14:47Sibylla, the driver, received treatment at a local hospital
14:50and was transported to the La Crosse County Jail.
14:54He was charged with eluding an officer,
14:56two counts of bail jumping, obstructing an officer,
14:59and operating after revocation.
15:02He later pled guilty to one count of bail jumping
15:04and resisting obstructing
15:06and was sentenced to two years probation.
15:08The remaining charges were dismissed.
15:10Sibylla has since been released to extended supervision.
15:14The passenger was released and not charged.
15:16No officers were injured during the incident.
15:20Next, we're in Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
15:23where police are in high-speed pursuit
15:25of two suspects fleeing in a reportedly stolen car.
15:29Earlier, officers Vashon Young and Juwan Madlock
15:33were on patrol when they reported a car
15:35with a broken taillight go through a stop sign
15:38and almost collide with another vehicle.
15:42When they attempted a traffic stop,
15:45the driver fled, and a high-speed chase ensued.
15:48After running the place, dispatch informed the officers
16:02that the car had recently been reported stolen.
16:05After a brief detour through a local park,
16:18officers momentarily lose sight of the car,
16:23but soon pick up the chase back on local streets.
16:28Suddenly, the driver loses control
16:37and collides with an electrical pole.
16:43He and a male passenger immediately take off on foot.
16:47Officer Madlock pursues suspect number one,
16:50the driver, up the street.
16:51While Officer Young chases after suspect number two,
16:59the passenger, in between these houses.
17:05Stop police!
17:08He's coming back to the yard!
17:09He's coming back to the yard!
17:10Young soon catches up to suspect number two
17:12in an overgrown backyard.
17:14Meanwhile, Officer Madlock's foot-pursuit
17:30of suspect number one continues.
17:34He seems to have gotten away,
17:37but the officer is able to provide
17:39a good description to dispatch.
17:41Black male looks like he went, uh, back east
17:44from, uh, Forty, Fort Clark.
17:47Chris did not be wearing a shirt anymore.
17:49Hey, you said he's a black male in a white t-shirt?
17:52No shirt anymore. He has an afro.
17:53No shirt.
17:54As Officer Madlock continues his search,
17:57Officer Young walks suspect number two
17:59back to his cruiser.
18:00Oh, you're a fast one.
18:01Yeah, I like that.
18:02I know.
18:03You ain't got to move like that, did you?
18:04Oh.
18:05I know.
18:06These guys work, don't you?
18:07Oh, yeah, they move.
18:08I know they move.
18:09You got some feet on you.
18:10I like that.
18:11I know.
18:12You're pretty fast, too.
18:13What's your face?
18:13You're pretty fast.
18:14I play football.
18:15Huh?
18:15I play football.
18:16That's good.
18:17I'm fast.
18:18You still in?
18:19I know.
18:20Got the wrong one behind you.
18:22As Young takes suspect number two
18:24into custody,
18:26Madlock spots suspect number one
18:28on the front lawn of a nearby home.
18:31Right here.
18:33No shirt on.
18:34He's just right from the top.
18:36He's right from the top.
18:38I'm sorry.
18:38I'm sorry to get beat her up, man.
18:39What beat her?
18:40I had a shirt on.
18:41I was with her.
18:41Yeah, he wasn't.
18:42I got to pull back.
18:43Stop moving.
18:43All right, stop moving.
18:44When the suspect refuses to cooperate,
18:46Officer Madlock takes him to the ground.
18:48I saw you.
18:49You got the wrong person.
18:50I see him.
18:50You got the wrong person.
18:51You got the wrong person.
18:53Backup soon arrives,
18:54and suspect number one
