00:00Welcome to episode four of Tag Across Europe.
00:03For only the second time in four seasons of Tag,
00:06a runner has made it within one leg of their wind location.
00:09Two years ago, Adam made it one ferry ride from his destination of Borka before getting caught.
00:14Now, Adam and Michelle are only 15 miles away from their wind location,
00:19the Gornergrad Observatory in Zermatt.
00:21They're on the train to Zermatt now, which is connected to the observatory by a cog railway.
00:25The trouble for them is, due to a curse, they can't use their phones,
00:28so they don't know when the cog railway leaves, whether they can afford it, or where to board it.
00:33To make things more difficult, while Toby and I are nowhere close to them,
00:37the chaser team of Ben and Brian are hot on their tail,
00:40about to board the same route to Zermatt, just one train behind them.
00:44If they can catch up and tag them, they'll get to be the next runners.
00:47If not, Adam and Michelle will become the first team in Tag history to reach their final location,
00:53winning the game immediately.
00:55Now, we go to Zermatt.
00:57We're this f***ing close, Brian.
01:01Here it is.
01:05Oh, gosh.
01:07Adam and Michelle, stop.
01:09Please, stop.
01:12I'm begging you, stop.
01:14Just for a second.
01:15We're going to be out there.
01:28Oh, my God.
01:29Why are we stopped here?
01:31This is an anistation.
01:34It's just, the train's just taking a breath.
01:35My guess is that we were waiting for a train to pass.
01:38I know.
01:42I see.
01:43There we go.
01:43We were waiting for this train to pass.
01:44Okay, more delays have appeared on the board.
01:50Okay, so the delay is longer now.
01:54It's up to six minutes.
01:55Again, six minutes.
01:59By itself, not a problem.
02:01Here's what we're looking at.
02:04Now it's at seven minutes.
02:05So now we're at a seven-minute delay.
02:10Seven minutes is still okay.
02:12Again, it is a question of, we were at five before, now we're at seven.
02:17If it keeps going up, I start to get worried.
02:20Because if we end up in like a 15-minute delay, then they're only 15 minutes behind us.
02:25And I don't know what the odds are that our connection is that short.
02:29You know what I mean?
02:30Again, they might not be behind us at all.
02:32I bet that they are in freaking France right now.
02:42Toby, look.
02:43Look where we are.
02:46We're in St. Louis.
02:48Wow.
02:49Where are we?
02:49In France?
02:50Yeah, we're in St. Louis, France.
02:53Look, I'm pretty confident at this point we're not making the catch.
02:56Ben and Brian, we don't know where they are.
02:58If I get a text that just says, catch, I'll be so elated.
03:03Yeah.
03:03So elated.
03:10Oh, we're really starting to go up.
03:13Hopefully Adam and Michelle just get distracted by all the natural.
03:18You know, if they get a little bit too long for them.
03:20That's just like, maybe.
03:23Maybe they're just like, you know what?
03:24We don't need to take the first.
03:27I could see Adam taking more time than he needs to just setting up a really nice shot somewhere.
03:34Which I love that about it.
03:36Please, Adam, get the perfect shot.
03:38That's so pretty.
03:40Maybe we should be on this side.
03:41Yeah.
03:42Are the views better?
03:42Yeah.
03:43We switch seats because the stuff, there's more stuff on this side.
03:48I think they certainly chose the most beautiful region.
03:52It's true.
03:53These little houses.
03:55Is this a cog train where it's like, it takes three hours to get to the top because this thing is so vintage?
04:00No, I don't think so.
04:02Okay.
04:02I don't think so.
04:03My guess is that, well, this is the other thing.
04:05We have to determine if it's longer than 53 minutes.
04:08Because if it's longer than 53 minutes, then we will have to do a challenge.
04:12I mean, that seems like a long commute for an astronomer.
04:16Sure.
04:17You know what I'm saying?
04:17Yes.
04:18I agree with you.
04:25Some of this stuff feels kind of perilous.
04:27I could have used the grappling hook.
04:28I know.
04:30I can't believe we got rid of the grappling hooks.
04:32We could have, even if they got the cog railway, maybe we could have, like, climbed up the mountain.
04:36I know.
04:37That was what the grappling hooks were for.
04:41They were so close.
04:43Yeah.
04:43Just right over, like, a couple sounds behind them.
04:47Like, they're just ahead of, come on.
04:52I mean, it's literally just going to be a question of, are they able to get on the cog railway?
04:58Straightway.
04:58Straight away.
05:00Before we get there or not.
05:01And I just, I, I don't know.
05:03Yes, there's no way I'm not.
05:04So here's the, here, so camera, I love camera.
05:07So let's assume this.
05:08We get in at 11.24.
05:10Mm-hmm.
05:10They get in, I think, like, 11.47-ish.
05:16If they are a half hour behind us, which we assume they are.
05:18Okay.
05:19Is there a train up to the observatory between 11.24 and when they get in?
05:29Because I have no idea.
05:30I truly, like, I could see a world where it's like, oh yeah, the cog railway, it runs every
05:3410 minutes.
05:35It's like a total freaking joke.
05:38No, it's no freaking problem at all.
05:40I could also see a world where it's like, oh, the cog railway?
05:42Yeah, it's every 90 minutes.
05:43I'm literally imagining the, the Polar Express.
05:47It's what we're going to be bringing.
05:50I think that that must be it.
05:52Right.
05:52Do you see it?
05:54Do you see the cog?
05:54Do you see that line going up?
05:57Ah, over there.
05:59It looks like they are just getting into Zermatt now.
06:02The only question is, are they still going to be there when we get there in 20 minutes?
06:07I sure hope so.
06:09I really want to see the look of their face.
06:13Arriving at Zermatt, Terminus Station, the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway thanks you for
06:24traveling with us and wishes you a pleasant day.
06:30This is truly where we, this is where we find out if we're going to win the game or have
06:36done all of this for nothing.
06:39Zermatt.
06:39That's...
06:43Hold on.
06:44Do you see that coming up?
06:46Gornergrat?
06:47Isn't that where we're going, Adam?
06:48Gornergrat is where we're going, yeah.
06:50What's this?
06:50A Gornergrat.
06:52Does this turn into the cog railway?
06:55Is this continuous?
06:58Okay, let's figure this out.
06:59The train to Gornergrat is in five minutes, coming down to the wire.
07:05If they don't get on this cog, then we'll get there before the next one.
07:13This is going back to this.
07:15This is going back to this.
07:17Ah, Adam, it had a picture.
07:20What did that picture look like?
07:21It had like a unique icon like this.
07:26Yeah, yeah.
07:26We just need to find a departure point.
07:29Gornergrat railway.
07:30Yes!
07:31Best view.
07:38Gornergrat.
07:38Okay.
07:40Yeah.
07:40Here's a question, Brian.
07:47Is the train to Gornergrat on the Eurail Pass?
07:50Oh.
07:52No.
07:53I doubt it.
07:54The train to Gornergrat is not on the Eurail Pass, which means that...
07:57It's extra time.
07:58Extra time.
07:59You have to get tickets.
08:00And hopefully there's a big line.
08:03Could be.
08:05Okay.
08:06This is our cog.
08:07We need to find out how long the journey is, also.
08:09But we just have to make sure there are tickets.
08:11Journey time.
08:1233 minutes.
08:13Okay, we can afford that.
08:14Should we try to buy at the...
08:16How about I stay in line?
08:18Okay, yeah.
08:18I'll try the ticket counter.
08:19Okay.
08:27Shit.
08:28Go, Adam.
08:29Come on.
08:47Come on.
08:49Come on.
08:50Oh my God.
09:08Adam, it's already boarded.
09:09Oh my God.
09:15Oh my God.
09:16That was close.
09:17Oh my God.
09:18If we had not hustled out of there...
09:21No, I know.
09:21If the delay had been three more minutes...
09:23I know.
09:24If we had had, really, if the delay had even been three more minutes, probably wouldn't have
09:27made it.
09:27I think that's that, Michelle.
09:37Heart rate's over 100 from that run.
09:40I think that that's that.
09:41And that's why you train?
09:43Michelle, I think that that's that.
09:45Oh my gosh.
09:46They figured it out.
09:55Yeah, they're on it.
10:02Well, Brian, I think that's such...
10:07Everything went perfectly for them.
10:10They literally got off the train and went straight to the next one.
10:12I think that's CT.
10:14Well, now I'm making it my life mission for Sam to come last.
10:18Sam, you know how you were saying before that it's statistically unlikely we could ever
10:22lose?
10:23Right.
10:24Sometimes cataclysmically rare events do occur.
10:28One cataclysmically rare event is happening today.
10:31Either we lose or they're trained to the observatory falls off the tracks.
10:37Well, yeah, but just delicately off, right?
10:40Softly into the snow.
10:42You think it'll be cold?
10:44A little bit.
10:49I'm emotional.
10:51Well, it's very beautiful.
10:52It's so beautiful.
10:53It's a very beautiful sight and it's a very beautiful thing that we've achieved, which
10:56is winning.
10:57Something that we both love.
10:59That is the Matterhorn.
11:01And there's an awesome roller coaster inside of it.
11:05Ladies and gentlemen, we will be arriving at the Border Guard in just a few minutes.
11:22It's kind of a nuts situation here at the Border Guard Observatory.
11:37All right, Michelle, the observatory is up there.
11:40That's our finish line.
11:41We've got to cross the bridge.
11:42That's where we have to go.
11:43Adam, this is like a lifetime experience.
11:45Should we run it?
11:47Absolutely.
11:48Always.
11:49One speed.
11:51The fastest.
11:53Okay, the air is very thin.
11:58Come on, Adam.
12:00Come on, Adam.
12:01Ready?
12:01One, two, three.
12:05Michelle, we have won Season 15 of Jet Lag the Game.
12:11Let's go.
12:12That was, uh, we did not need to run.
12:19But I like, I think that vibes-wise, it was a great call.
12:28Okay, so Adam and Michelle made it to their end location, meaning they have secured first
12:33place in this game of tag.
12:34But you're thinking, there's 30 minutes left in this episode, and it isn't even the
12:38finale.
12:38What's going on?
12:39Well, alongside the jet lag first of a team making it to their win location comes another
12:44jet lag first.
12:45A runner-up round.
12:47And while the rest of us make our way up to the Gornergrat Observatory, I'll explain how
12:51it will work.
12:52The remaining teams retain our current win areas and coin balances.
12:55However, Adam and Michelle's area becomes a neutral territory, and they become free agents
13:00available to be drafted onto our teams.
13:02Even though it's not quite a catch, because Ben and Brian reached Adam and Michelle first,
13:06they will start as the next runners, and Toby and I get to draft first.
13:10Although, now that there will only be one team of chasers at a time instead of two, the
13:14freeze and cloak power-ups are gone.
13:16Other than that, the rules remain the same.
13:19You win by either making it to your final location, or running out of time on day three
13:22with the runners in your win area.
13:24And just by the way, it's only midday on day two, meaning we're only about halfway through
13:29our allotted game time.
13:30A lot can still happen, and trust us, quite a lot will.
13:34So, let's get started.
13:36Okay.
13:37Um, we're gonna go ahead and, uh, start our run for second place.
13:43All right, we have to draft.
13:44Yeah, who's your player?
13:46Yes, uh, you guys get to pick.
13:48Okay, we'll take Michelle.
13:50Don't sound so sad about it.
13:52No, we're actually very happy.
13:54All right, we're going.
13:55Okay, we're going.
13:56What are they doing?
13:58But why are they going in there?
13:59Because they have to buy the tickets.
14:01Oh, why didn't they just already do that?
14:02Because it, it was...
14:04Oh, we just bought round trips.
14:13No, we really got to move back.
14:15We really got to move back.
14:17Okay.
14:25Listen, Adam, we're already enemies because we didn't get our group shot.
14:36We didn't get our group photo with the Matterhorn.
14:38We've been waiting here for four hours and I had this, like, image of all of us getting a group photo together and then it just turned into chaos.
14:47I didn't know it would be like this either.
14:49I thought we would all hang out for a minute.
14:51We knew that when that handoff happened, we had to get right back on the train that they were on.
14:56Oh, my gosh.
14:57Adam, welcome to the team.
14:59I'm thrilled to be here on the team.
15:00Well, this was big.
15:02This was big.
15:03We need to make this.
15:05I don't think we would have had any chance if we didn't make this.
15:08Here's the deal, gents.
15:09We've got 19 hours of gameplay left.
15:12A whole lot to make this.
15:13It's just going to be a question of how we get to the German Rail Network and if at any point we can sort of swerve them.
15:21Because the problem right now, as I can tell, is that, like, our path back is pretty linear.
15:28So we're going to want to get creative.
15:33Back to our test time.
15:35Woo-hoo.
15:35It's great to have your energy added to the team.
15:37And I can already feel it's shifted us because Sam and I have been a little depressed all day.
15:42No.
15:42Well, I mean, you must understand why I've just kind of just been sitting on trey and saddled.
15:48Yeah.
15:48Let me tell you, my first enemy in this game was Adam and Ben.
15:52I told Adam, we're enemies to friends to enemies again.
15:55Game on.
15:57Okay, well, we've been looking at routes.
15:59There's, like, two main routes into Germany, as far as we can tell.
16:04There's sort of going back the way that Adam and Michelle came, go straight to Basel, go up through there.
16:10The other way, though, is to go to Zurich and to go up from Zurich to, like, Stuttgart.
16:18Which I like more because I think it's a little bit more unexpected and away from their win region.
16:25So if we get tagged, it gives us more of a chance to tag one back.
16:28I think, uh, Zurich makes sense, then.
16:32Do we have enough coins to get to Zurich?
16:34We need 2,350 coins to get to Zurich.
16:37What is it?
16:38That's okay.
16:39Perfectly doable.
16:40We just need a little, a little combo somewhere along the way.
16:43And I think we have enough time to do a challenge.
16:47We follow card.
16:49Once we get down to Zermatt, we have 16 minutes before our next train.
16:52Hopefully we can knock it out.
16:54If not, we're going to have to keep going and do it sometime later.
16:57Yeah.
16:58Welcome back to Zermatt.
17:06We have to be back.
17:10Okay.
17:10So we have about 15 minutes before our train back to Visp.
17:15So I think let's find a spot and pull a card.
17:18Yeah.
17:18Okay.
17:19Here.
17:19Right here.
17:20All right.
17:22Brian, would you like to do the honors?
17:23Yeah.
17:25Find the mystery object.
17:28Find the mystery object.
17:31Amy is thinking of an object.
17:33Check Amy's hint about what the mystery object is.
17:36You may now position yourself anywhere you like.
17:38Then reveal what the mystery object is.
17:41You have five minutes to find it.
17:43If you fail to find it, this card is automatically vetoed.
17:46We have as long as we want to think about the hint.
17:49You want to check the hint and then try and do it.
17:51Maybe somewhere else, maybe here, depending on what our guide is.
17:54Yeah.
17:54Let's look.
17:57Okay.
17:58Amy says, to me, this object is a lot like a hat, but it's not clothing.
18:03It just has a hat-like function among the objects it hangs out with.
18:09Umbrella.
18:11Maybe.
18:13Maybe.
18:15That's a pretty good guess.
18:16So, here's the thing.
18:19There's a lot of shops here.
18:20There's a co-op, which is a grocery store, an outdoor store.
18:23Yeah, I think we should just do it.
18:24Reveal object.
18:25Lampshade?
18:26Okay.
18:27Start the timer.
18:28Five minutes.
18:28I mean, we don't...
18:30Yeah, we don't have to buy a lampshade.
18:32We just have to find a lampshade.
18:34Hotel.
18:35Hotel.
18:35Wait, um, there's a tourist office right here.
18:38Yeah, check that.
18:39There's a million hotels right now.
18:46Yeah, let's go to a hotel.
18:47Where are we going?
18:53Um, you're going to find a hotel.
18:55Hotel is like you'd have a lampshade.
19:01Uh, eight minutes.
19:07Hello, you okay?
19:09Yes, sorry.
19:11We're looking for a lamp.
19:12For a scavenger hunt.
19:14A lamp.
19:15Are there any lamps here?
19:17No.
19:17Okay, all good.
19:18Thank you, thank you.
19:34Yeah.
19:35How can we have a lampshade?
19:36Um, like three minutes.
19:38Okay, if we go down this place,
19:40we'll take it for a moment.
19:44How do you get in?
19:45That's a lampshade.
19:54That's a lampshade.
19:55That's a lampshade.
19:56That's a lampshade.
19:56Okay, cool.
19:58Cool.
19:59Good.
20:00Hi, it's Barry.
20:01For sure, right?
20:03Thank you so much.
20:04Sorry.
20:06Okay, so yeah, get back to the train station.
20:08Well done, well done.
20:10Good job, boys.
20:11Good stuff.
20:26We can get to Zurich, at least.
20:28Sam and Toby, the chase is on.
20:31Oh, I'm Michelle.
20:32Right.
20:33Michelle has joined your team.
20:34All right, we're free.
20:43We're so back.
20:45We're so back, and we're no longer enemies.
20:47That's true.
20:47That's nice.
20:48They're only one hour ahead of us, which, in the grand scheme of things, like, that's about
20:53the lowest head start a team could have, so I'm feeling decent, but they're going to
20:57be crafty.
20:58I kind of doubt they're just going to do the most intuitive route.
21:01I think they're going to try to find something tricky, and there's nothing more tantalizing
21:06to Adam in particular than getting both first place and second place in a game.
21:12I'm already annoyed.
21:13And you know why?
21:14Because when they left, they were looking a little too excited.
21:19Yeah.
21:19But let's go.
21:25Onward.
21:27It was very nice up here.
21:31We came empty-handed and left with a new teammate.
21:33Good night.
21:46Good?
21:46Okay.
21:48Okay.
21:48Here.
21:49Don't worry.
21:49There are no cars that can hit us here.
21:55Oh, here we go.
21:57I made it.
21:59Good stuff.
22:00All right.
22:01Good job.
22:02That was...
22:03A little tight.
22:05Just a little.
22:06Just a tad.
22:07Just a small.
22:07Well, we love a little drama.
22:08Yeah.
22:09I think that train was a minute or two late.
22:12That's the thing about the...
22:13It's like every time with the Swiss Rail Network, they have such perfectly timed connections
22:17that it's always, like, stress.
22:19Yeah.
22:20Okay.
22:21They should be getting into this.
22:22Yeah, pretty soon.
22:23Momentarily.
22:24Yeah.
22:25So, I mean, we need to monitor when they leave to be able to, you know, cross-reference
22:32with the train departures and try to figure out which train they're on.
22:36Yeah.
22:37But doable.
22:39Yeah.
22:39Goodbye, Zermatt.
22:42Bye.
22:42Bye.
22:43Bye.
22:59Okay.
23:01Well, welcome to VISP.
23:03We're going to make a quick transfer onto the train to burn and just keep on trucking.
23:08That's the update from Team Ben-Ben-Brian at, um, Ben...
23:12It's not really at Port Mantell.
23:14Ben-Berm...
23:16Brett...
23:17Brendam.
23:19I got it.
23:23Okay.
23:23Maybe it's four.
23:24It is.
23:25I mean, that goes to burn.
23:27Yeah.
23:27Track floor.
23:30Shh.
23:31Shh.
23:31Shh.
23:32Shh.
23:34Shh.
23:35Shh.
23:46Okay.
23:47It looks like they've taken the train to burn.
23:50Well, that's the Basel train.
23:52So they could get off at burn, which I think is kind of likely.
23:56It would be a nice place to get off.
23:57And there's lots of connections onwards from there.
24:00Seemingly, they didn't do a challenge in this?
24:03No, I don't think so.
24:04Because that was like a four or five minute connection.
24:05Here's what I know about them.
24:07At least when it was Ben and Brian, I know that they were really hard set on going rat mode
24:13or goblin mode and doing crazy stuff.
24:15And this is...
24:16They've only finally got a chance to do that.
24:18So I expect maximum rat and goblins from them.
24:21I agree.
24:22But with that, if someone's in rat mode, the best strategy actually is to follow behind
24:28them directly because a rat you can't catch by going in front.
24:33Yes.
24:33Only someone predictable you can catch by going in front.
24:36True.
24:36That's like a life lesson.
24:38I love it.
24:38All right, we're so back.
24:43Yeah, we've looked at all of our options.
24:46We have sort of taken an excruciating look at Google Maps and Apple Maps and all of the
24:54maps.
24:54And we believe that we have a plan.
24:58Yeah.
24:58That we like.
24:59Yeah.
24:59I like it.
25:00We like it enough.
25:01I think it's the best option we have, which isn't, we don't have a lot of good options because
25:07they can catch up with us so easily.
25:08So I think our strategy is to make it as difficult as possible.
25:12So tonight, pretty soon, we're going to Zurich, spend the night in Zurich, start early.
25:19Well, we're going to try to get through some challenges.
25:21We need coins.
25:22That's our main challenge.
25:24So we need a bunch of coins.
25:25And then if we can get from Zurich to Stuttgart and then go from Stuttgart to Nuremberg, and
25:33they can catch up with us probably in either of those locations, can't they?
25:38Yeah.
25:39If they figure out what we're doing.
25:40They can't catch up with us unless we miss a train, as far as I can tell.
25:46Yeah.
25:47But if we at any point don't get the coins that we need, we're done so.
25:54The first leg of that route, Zurich to Stuttgart, is kind of expensive, but we have a half hour
26:01tonight and a half hour tomorrow morning to earn some coins.
26:05I think we can probably pull it off.
26:07We've got 700 in like three minutes.
26:10Right.
26:11We'll need to earn like, I think, 1,400 in order to make that train tomorrow morning.
26:16If we don't make that train tomorrow morning, we're in big trouble, because I think then
26:22we get stranded for a couple of hours.
26:24Yeah.
26:24So we'll just have to get to Zurich and pull some cards and hope for the best, right?
26:31Well, that's going to require a lot of luck.
26:34A lot of luck.
26:35I heard of the cards.
26:37But everyone else has had a whole bunch of luck this season.
26:41It's time for us to have a little bit of luck.
26:43Yeah.
26:45Well, I believe we follow them.
26:49Rat time.
26:53Watch out, rats.
26:54These terminators are in town.
26:56And that's us.
26:58Let me check our connection onward.
27:01All right.
27:02So on first glance, I don't love our train options, because it seems like they had a really good
27:11connection towards burn, whereas we would have to wait like 30 minutes.
27:16So that's not awesome.
27:17Wow.
27:23No, no, no.
27:25Uh, it's...
27:25Ah, I'm sorry.
27:26It's at 631.
27:29It's 695.
27:31Yes.
27:33And I actually think that this train might be rescheduled to get in at 635.
27:38Um, okay.
27:40It's showing delayed on Apple Maps.
27:44Oh, but this is the station.
27:46Is it not?
27:48No.
27:49No, this is Wankdorf.
27:51What?
27:52F***.
27:53Okay, so the train we want to take...
27:59Okay, we are about to get in.
28:01It's all right.
28:02Yeah, yeah, yeah.
28:02Do you know what platform it's on?
28:06Platform P.
28:08It's 631.
28:11Train's at 631.
28:12Yeah.
28:12Unless it's delayed.
28:14Yeah.
28:15Yeah, I don't think it's the end of the world.
28:16If we miss it, we can get another one.
28:18As long as we get to Zerb tonight, we're still going to have the hour.
28:22Yeah, yeah.
28:26So we're going to eat?
28:27Eat.
28:34We're going up it.
28:35Yeah.
28:45The one that's leaving?
28:49The one that's leaving.
28:50That's tracking.
28:53Okay.
28:55It's okay, f***.
28:56It's a full challenge.
28:58Yeah.
28:59Here.
28:59Okay.
29:00We'll have to take the train that leaves in half an hour, which means we'll lose our challenge
29:03time tonight.
29:04So, challenge now.
29:06Ryan?
29:07Oh, I'll give it some of the good.
29:10Bury this treasure.
29:14Bury this treasure.
29:15Bury this card under at least three inches of dirt or sand.
29:18Don't worry, it's biodegradable.
29:20Send the other team a picture of its exact location and its coordinates.
29:24That's a good one.
29:25Love that.
29:26Under three inches of dirt.
29:28Love that.
29:28I just need to find some dirt.
29:29But they could dig it up.
29:30I guess it's halfway there.
29:31Right on.
29:35Maybe up here.
29:38Let's go up there.
29:40Yeah.
29:43Perfect.
29:44I think, like, just under this bush is fine.
29:47Like right here.
29:49But we might need concrete or something.
29:51Yeah, I do feel concrete.
29:52Yeah, we need three inches.
29:56I wish I had my grappling hook.
29:59I'm going to go look for softer dirt.
30:01Okay.
30:02Just in case I can find it.
30:04If you can find something.
30:21Great.
30:22We're going to do this.
30:23Welcome.
30:25This.
30:26So it's worth saying we lost a little bit based on this swipe.
30:33Yes, because they happen to have basically an instant transfer.
30:38So we're going from a 60 minutes.
30:41We're going from following 60 minutes behind to going following 90 minutes behind.
30:44Just based on trying tables, train timetables.
30:47There's nothing we can do about that.
30:48We just have to, you know, accept it.
30:52I don't know how the jets lag, you know.
30:55So, but at the very least, they got to get out and burn probably in about an hour or so.
31:02So that's cool for us.
31:05I'm nearly there.
31:06I'm nearly there.
31:07I'm nearly there.
31:08Can you focus on finding something to measure it with?
31:11Um, yeah.
31:13Yeah.
31:14Just get me something to measure.
31:15Okay, I'm working.
31:16I'm going to do it with this stick, okay?
31:18I'm like a dog with a f***ing bone, bye.
31:20I'll dig a f***ing hole.
31:22I think this is hitting three inches.
31:23This is more than three.
31:24This is more than three inches.
31:25We have that.
31:26We have that.
31:26We're done.
31:27Here we go.
31:28Measure it.
31:28Confirm.
31:28That's way easily.
31:30This is three.
31:31That's, that's definitely below three, but it needs to be all the way down there.
31:36Yep.
31:39And we have to take a picture and send it to them.
31:40Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
31:41Make sure, do we have the same coordinates?
31:43Yeah.
31:43Uh, yes.
31:44But we, we'll send them a Google pin.
31:47Yeah, don't put this stick in the market.
31:48Yep.
31:49Take a picture.
31:53We just got some coordinates.
31:54That must be the...
31:57Bury.
31:58Yeah.
31:58Bury the car.
31:59So how does that work?
32:01Okay.
32:01They bury a card, and then if we pick it up, we get a thousand points.
32:06A thousand points, but...
32:07But they've just made 750.
32:10Is that correct?
32:10It's a little annoying.
32:11That's really quick and easy coins.
32:15On the other hand, it's right outside of the station.
32:17Don't we have to be runners when we pick it up or something weird, though?
32:20Oh, yeah.
32:21We can't pick it up unless we're runners.
32:22There is a 702 to Zurich that would get in right before the rest period.
32:27Oh, my God.
32:28Where are you seeing that?
32:29Oh, my God.
32:31But if they took that, we would be an hour behind them in the morning.
32:36Rather than 90 minutes.
32:38Yes.
32:38Yeah, because if I were them, I would stay on the fastest route, knowing that we can take
32:43the fastest route.
32:44And the fastest route in the direction that is best for them is to Zurich.
32:48I mean, what we can hope right now is they have 15 minutes of that train.
32:52Hopefully, they don't pull another challenge at risk of a V-Tel and just kill that time
32:57to the train.
32:58I don't think anyone's failed a challenge.
33:01It's sexy.
33:02You guys fail any time?
33:02No, but here's why I don't think they're going to do it.
33:06If they fail it, they'll miss that train.
33:08Yeah.
33:08Okay.
33:09Do we want to risk?
33:10This is the question.
33:11Do we want to pull another cart?
33:12Because I don't know that we do.
33:13Because if we have to veto it, then we're done.
33:17If we veto it, we can't get on that train.
33:23We have to go up a little bit, but then we're just right in front of them.
33:27Right.
33:28I feel like it's the lower risk move to take this as a win and to believe that we're going
33:33to get another set of four.
33:34Okay.
33:34We still have another half an hour.
33:36Okay, let's get back to the station.
33:37We can technically pull a cart tonight.
33:40Yeah, we could pull a cart last thing tonight.
33:43Yeah.
33:44As soon as we get in.
33:45But let's just get to Zurich.
33:49Because most important thing is we make it to Zurich.
33:53Yeah.
33:53They're going to be here in a few hours.
33:58Let's go.
33:59Let's find that other train to Zurich.
34:01Ford's there.
34:02It's the one at 702 to...
34:05What's that?
34:05It's...
34:06Roman Shore.
34:08Yeah.
34:08Platform 2.
34:09Roman Shore and Platform 2.
34:11Wait, I need to wash my hands.
34:13Is it?
34:13I think it's delayed.
34:14Wait, is it f***ing delayed?
34:1715 minutes.
34:18F***.
34:18That's going to get us in too late.
34:19F***.
34:2115 minutes spotter?
34:22I think that's what spotter means.
34:25No, no, no, no.
34:27Okay.
34:30Wait, wait, wait.
34:31Okay, let's think this through.
34:32Sorry, what did we do then?
34:33Well, we can go further up this line.
34:36But I don't like going further up this line.
34:37I don't like going further up this line either, but I don't think there's any other way.
34:40But is there a train later that goes towards the same direction?
34:43I mean, we can go further up this line and then go from there to Zurich, but we won't
34:47make it tonight.
34:48Well, we need to, we need to get out of here.
34:52We have to get out of here before, what time?
34:55They get here, they don't get here for an hour.
34:57As long as we get out of here an hour, we're fine.
34:59But then, like, if we're right next to the morning, you know, it's f*** us.
35:03That, just f*** it.
35:05That, our, our backup train got delayed.
35:08Yeah.
35:08Our first train got delayed and you were like, it's fine, you have a backup and you're
35:10back.
35:11All right.
35:12On the train to Zurich.
35:13So, they haven't left Furn yet and the Zurich train was at 7.02.
35:26What?
35:28So, maybe they're doing something else.
35:32Do you think they got greedy and pulled to your challenge and maybe it's okay?
35:39No, I don't think so.
35:40Because.
35:41Yeah, I kind of doubt it.
35:42They would have not stayed standing there like that.
35:45Yeah, and also with more, most challenges, you can kind of choose when you veto it.
35:50Which one was, do you think they want to go to take?
35:53Did you say this one?
35:54Yeah, IC 81.
35:56I've supposed to go to take it.
35:57Yeah, that's delayed to 7.17.
36:01Every minute that we stand here, we're at big scale.
36:03I know, I know, I know.
36:03Can we go to Geneva?
36:06That's the wrong way.
36:07I know, but.
36:08I think that it would be better to go north than to go to Geneva.
36:10Okay.
36:11We can go to Olston.
36:12Olston.
36:13Olston.
36:13Can we look at that?
36:14That leaves in 21 minutes from platform nine.
36:17Okay.
36:18And it gets us in before the rest period.
36:20Okay.
36:20And then from Olton, is there a train in the morning that we could take from there to Zurich?
36:25That gets in before the Stuttgart?
36:27It gets in before the train to Stuttgart.
36:28We can get, no, it takes 50 minutes to get to Zurich.
36:31It takes 50 minutes?
36:32Yeah.
36:32Because if we can't get out of Zurich going where we need to go, then they'll catch us
36:36at Zurich.
36:36Yeah.
36:37Yeah.
36:37Because I think Olton is not an efficient way to get to Zurich.
36:39No.
36:40I mean, all we can do is get to Olton.
36:42All right.
36:42Let's try to break down the problem.
36:44The one thing that we know is that we have to leave here before the end of the day.
36:49Olton is our plan A right now.
36:51Olton is plan A, but I don't like Olton.
36:53I think that that means they just catch us.
36:55Yeah.
36:56But I agree that Olton right now is the best level.
37:00There, maybe?
37:01Well, we just couldn't get in here.
37:02Yeah, yeah, yeah.
37:03So we're, okay, we're in Berg.
37:05Ultimus there, it's on the way to Zurich, so I see that.
37:08Lucerne, yeah, there's just not a good, we get into Lucerne too.
37:12We can get into Brug.
37:15Brug?
37:16By 7.59.
37:187, we can get into Brug, Ben, by 7.59.
37:20Okay, what time is that train?
37:21That's not bad.
37:21Can we get from Brug to Zurich in the morning?
37:23Can we get from Brug to Zurich?
37:25Zurich in the morning.
37:26In the morning, before 6.30.
37:28That's the question now.
37:29We could get into Zurich at 6.24, but that train is at exactly 6 a.m.
37:35Well, then we just have to position ourselves right on the platform.
37:38Adam, we can get to Zurich tomorrow morning at 6.24, leaving from Brug at 6 a.m.
37:45But we won't have enough points.
37:47We don't have enough points right now.
37:49We have 10 minutes.
37:50I think we get onto the...
37:51Should we pull a challenge?
37:52Can we get onto the train?
37:54Let's pull one.
37:55Just pull one.
37:56I think we have to pull one to see.
37:58Maybe it's a person we, you know...
38:00I was looking for tissues.
38:03So I don't look like a crazy person.
38:05Juice.
38:08Juice.
38:08Using any fruits or vegetables, create and drink half a cup of juice.
38:13The juice must be strained, and fruits and vegetables must be acquired whole.
38:18No way we can do that in 10 minutes.
38:19Let's go see if there's stuff.
38:22Half a cup.
38:23Let's see if we can buy some fruits really quick.
38:25How much time do we have?
38:27We have 10 minutes.
38:28I'm just saying we need to get some fruits.
38:29We need to take things.
38:30Can we maybe get some...
38:31There's a co-op there.
38:32Can we maybe get some...
38:33Yeah.
38:33We can get to a co-op.
38:35Let's see.
38:44I'm going to refresh.
38:45I'm going to refresh.
38:46This is where I think it's...
38:50They're...
38:50They're ratting.
38:52I don't think they would yet.
38:54We think that they won't rat until they cross the line into their territory.
38:59Or at least for a while, I think.
39:01I mean, we can monitor where their line goes.
39:03The co-op is over there.
39:06It's like there was a co-op up here somewhere.
39:07I know, but we just...
39:08We have so little...
39:09I know.
39:09We've got to look for it.
39:10We can get here.
39:12Okay.
39:26Let's get all of it.
39:33Here we go.
39:40Let's go.
39:40Go, go, go, go, go.
39:46That was good.
39:47That was good.
39:52Careful.
39:53Steep.
39:53We got nine oranges.
40:23That's more than enough.
40:26Here's our cup.
40:28So we just have to turn these into juice.
40:30Yeah, well, we can't be on a train.
40:32And we're only going to have how many minutes?
40:36I don't know.
40:38We just have to figure out if in that one minute we can get to the right platform.
40:43Oh, right.
40:43Because when we get there, we need to sprint to the right.
40:46But we don't know what platform is going to be on tomorrow.
40:47Sometimes it comes up early.
40:50Okay, well, let's try to figure that out.
40:52Because you're right.
40:53If the train's at 6 a.m., we don't start until 6 a.m.
40:56We need to be at the platform at the end of the day so we can step on the train.
40:59I am soaked and covered in dirt.
41:05You did good, Brian.
41:06You did good.
41:08Okay.
41:09Um, are we...
41:12Did the train was supposed to leave a minute ago, right?
41:16It's supposed to leave 7.04.
41:21Okay.
41:22What's our margin?
41:23Five minutes.
41:25If I'm not trying to freak anybody out, but we're now at two minutes to wait.
41:30So we can get us down to three minutes.
41:32Largest.
41:34Nicely.
41:35Because if we don't make it to Brugge, our chances of doing Zerk to Stuttgart are gone.
41:42Can we...
41:44Can we...
41:45Guys, we're at two and a half minutes.
41:46I think...
41:47Can we start looking at what else we need to do with my business?
41:50What can we do?
41:51I think we're stuck in Edelton.
41:52Well, what if we continue on to pace?
41:54That's it.
41:54We can't get there.
41:55We can't get there.
41:55We can't get in too late.
41:58Okay, well.
42:03Okay.
42:04Well, the train is leaving three minutes late.
42:07We have a five-minute transfer.
42:08That gives us a luxurious two minutes to get on the train to Brugge.
42:12We just went and got oranges.
42:14We've got nine oranges.
42:18We're professional athletes.
42:20We're professional athletes, and we're the best at this.
42:23And once we get...
42:24We'll get into Brugge one minute before the rest period, and we will have to board a train
42:29from Brugge the following morning with zero minutes of marching.
42:34So that's the situation we're in.
42:44Well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well.
42:48Wasn't I supposed to do the intro?
42:50Well.
42:51He took my job.
42:52I was supposed to do the intro.
42:53I was supposed to thank you for watching this on Nebula.
42:55Well, I'd like to thank you as well.
42:57I'd like to thank you for watching Michelle and I win this season.
43:02What are you talking about?
43:02The season isn't even over.
43:05What are you talking about?
43:05The season is not over, and yet it's been won.
43:08I've yet to see a trophy.
43:09I've yet to see any trophy.
43:10And isn't that sort of incredible?
43:13No.
43:14Here's what I actually want to say, and I do think we should take the minute to say this.
43:18What remains in this season is, I think, some of the most fun tag gameplay we've ever had.
43:22It gets, like, really good.
43:24It's like we really hit our stride.
43:27This season is just so freaking weird.
43:28It's a weird season.
43:30But stay locked in because it actually just gets better.
43:33You can hear us talk about, you know, winning and then also the second place round
43:38and how we've decided how that was going to happen.
43:40We cover all of that in the layover with our guest, Michelle.
43:44And to tie you over after you've listened to that, why don't you check out some of the
43:48other stuff we've made that is also on the wonderful platform of Nebula.
43:53We've made documentaries.
43:55We have made a pilot season of this show, which is, well, kind of of this show, which
43:59is exclusive to Nebula.
44:01We made, of course, The Getaway, which was like a crazy high-concept travel show with other
44:08people that was really fun.
44:09And then soon after this season is wrapped, we've got a docuseries directed by Mr. Adam
44:16Chase about the biggest scavenger hunt.
44:19It's almost four things.
44:20Yeah.
44:21Bye.
