00:00I'm John Cena.
00:01Every food and every beverage has a story.
00:03I'm gonna tell you some stories
00:04through some of my favorite foods and beverages.
00:08The reason I love a flat white
00:10is because coffee is a universal language
00:12throughout the world.
00:13I will judge a place based on its flat white.
00:17Some people misinterpret flat white,
00:19but that's also how I can be like,
00:20oh, this place isn't a real coffee shop.
00:22This is from the Condé Nast Cafe.
00:25It's obvious that they are not coffee first
00:27because it would be in a smaller cup.
00:29Six ounces or less, probably five, six.
00:32This is more to the eight side.
00:35The best flat whites I've had are in Australia,
00:37Melbourne, Australia.
00:39They are coffee first people,
00:40and their flat white, six ounces,
00:43looks just like a latte you put in the shrink machine.
00:46In Melbourne, a bunch of times,
00:47I would just go out in cafes in the street.
00:50So many great cafes in London
00:51where you can get a great flat white.
00:53Just came from Budapest that has an awesome flat white.
00:55I almost don't wanna give them away
00:57because I'll never be able to go there again,
00:59but everyone has a different interpretation of it,
01:01which is why I order a flat white instead of a latte.
01:03Now, I'm gonna take a sip of this.
01:06It looks a little too milk forward.
01:10I would say that this is a shot of espresso
01:13with eight ounces of milk.
01:15Here's another catch with the flat white.
01:17It's a double shot.
01:18So you get a little more strong coffee taste
01:20and a little less milk,
01:21which is why I like that six ounces,
01:23because you should see a cappuccino cup in my hand.
01:26It disappears and a cappuccino is like one sip.
01:29I have a coffee club
01:30with some of the other WWE superstars that I know,
01:34and we all compare notes and share notes.
01:36I am really low on the coffee first ladder,
01:40so I'm not the smartest person in the room.
01:42And boy, do I get guidance and clarity of like,
01:45well, that place looks okay,
01:46but next time try this place.
01:48You do know a place is coffee first and coffee focused
01:53by how they pour their flat white.
01:54So this is not a criticism on the Condé Nast Cafe.
01:57I know that this thing was made with love.
01:59I would prefer a porcelain cup,
02:01a little more espresso, and certainly steamed milk.
02:05Should I order this and this were to show up,
02:08I would walk up.
02:10You can only drink so much coffee.
02:11I don't wanna waste it on this.
02:13This is one I would leave just like this
02:15and slide back to the middle of the table.
02:18I've taken one vacation in my life, one,
02:23and it was my honeymoon.
02:24We went to Santorini.
02:26Completely embraced the culture,
02:28and what I like about Spanakopita is
02:30you can have it in the morning with coffee.
02:32We had it for breakfast, it was so delicious.
02:34Then we had it for dinner, and it was also a snack.
02:36So when I see this, I am taken back to those moments
02:40of joy that I have with the person I love the most
02:43in this world, and that's what food does.
02:46A vehicle of brilliant reminders and wonderful moments.
02:49This one's good.
02:50Enough vegetable consistency to know what you're eating.
02:53A nice lacing of cheese throughout,
02:55so you can see the flake on the crust.
02:57That's extra special.
02:59I love this, but it's a food that I wanna miss,
03:02because when I do taste it, and it's done right, like this,
03:05it does make you think of those memories.
03:08So, for me, this is like looking at a bald eagle holding hands
03:15with a Bengal tiger walking down Fifth Avenue.
03:17This is very rare.
03:18This is Banoffee Pie, a treat of British origin
03:22that you don't see on many menus.
03:23Let's rewind a bit to me being on the road with WWE.
03:28We would do these overseas tours in the United Kingdom and Europe.
03:32The last day was usually TV in London,
03:36and we all knew that at the end of day 20,
03:40this gem awaited us.
03:42The catering would make these big vats of Banoffee pie
03:46with this on the top, and then the cream,
03:49and then the bananas, and the caramel,
03:50and then the crust on the bottom.
03:52It was like a Black Friday TV sale.
03:56People would get in and go in with their hands.
03:58It was like gold.
03:59You could use it as currency.
04:01I got an extra slice of Banoffee.
04:02You know, what do you give me for?
04:05This is an incredible dessert.
04:06For me, it is everything I look for.
04:08Chocolate shavings on top, standard, excellent.
04:11It's like a thick sort of heavy cream blended in the middle.
04:15Think of like a more dense Cool Whip, and not cheesecake.
04:18It's not solidified like cheesecake.
04:21A layer of banana, just because you have to put something
04:24quasi-healthy in there.
04:26A layer of caramelly nougat, and then this crust,
04:29which kind of tastes like graham crackers or British biscuits,
04:33like crushed into fine sand and congeal into this thing.
04:37It's kind of like a cheesecake crust,
04:38but a little bit different.
04:40It is fantastic.
04:41Before you do that really quick,
04:41can I just get a shot where you tilt the plate
04:43a little bit towards me?
04:44This is my hell.
04:45This is torture.
04:46Can you not eat that Banoffee pie,
04:48and tilt it a little bit more towards me?
04:49Could you do that?
04:55It's wonderful.
04:57It's wonderful.
04:58Every birthday, I ask for one thing.
05:00A Banoffee pie.
05:03I will eat an entire Banoffee pie every birthday,
05:05and I've been doing so since I was 25.
05:08I'll let you finish that bite, and then we can clear this.
05:13This bite.
05:14What's?
05:15You can let me finish this bite.
05:16No problem.
05:17Mm.
05:18I'm John Cena.
05:19These have been a few of my favorite foods,
05:20along with some of the stories.
05:22Hope you enjoyed the trip down memory lane,
05:23and don't forget to enjoy Peacemaker Season 2 on HBO Max.
05:30This is extremely good, and I just can't.
05:33You can't pull me away.
05:34I mean, we could fight for it, but I don't like your chances.
05:40Three minutes, in Jesus' life,
05:50a secret magic.
