00:00Trey goes down yesterday in the NFL. It was Joe Flacco on his way to stay in state,
00:04but go from the Cleveland Browns over to the Cincinnati Bengals. It was interesting when
00:08it came across my timeline, because as soon as you see that, you realize it's just not working
00:12right now with Browning and that offense. It's like, do they need an upgrade to get another
00:15veteran in town? I didn't think they probably would make the move, but they're trying to
00:18salvage their season for a chance that maybe Burrow can come back. And at least with a couple
00:22games left, theoretically, or let's just say mathematically, you still have an option to
00:27make the playoffs at this point. So Flacco goes to Cincinnati. And the more I look at this saying,
00:31I don't know if I like this move or dislike it. Like it doesn't even move the needle for me anymore
00:36because, oh, Flacco goes to the good. That'll help out that offense. I don't know if it will.
00:40Flacco hasn't been that great this season. He can't move. It's a bad offensive line. He doesn't
00:44have a run game to sort of keep that defense off of him. He has some great wide receivers,
00:48but I look at it this morning and try to digest it, Joe. I don't know if I like this move all that
00:53much anymore. Well, I mean, you got to do something because Brett Rippin was your only
00:58other quarterback on the roster behind Browning. You got Sean Clifford on the practice squad.
01:05Okay. But so it doesn't, if you need somebody to hold the fort down or in hopes of holding the
01:11fort down, yeah, listen, Flacco, yes, he's 40 years old, but he is a true pro. And he's a guy
01:17that has a ton of experience in studying a ship like this here and get it going. This will be the
01:23most weapons Flacco has had maybe in his entire career, Donnie, if they can give him any sort of
01:30room whatsoever. But the one thing is certain there is that the Bengals have decided that
01:36in Browning's three starts, he faced the Vikings, the Broncos, and the Lions, three very good defenses.
01:42And the problem is all three of those losses were by a combined 76 points, eight interceptions
01:49altogether here. Six touchdowns to eight interceptions in four games is not what I would
01:56consider steadying the ship here. So, and by the way, he was getting booed in that game there at home
02:01on Sunday. And why not? You can't keep throwing it to the other team. So I love it for the Browns,
02:08Donnie, because they actually traded Flacco on a sixth round pick and they got a fifth round pick
02:13in return for a guy, a 40-year-old quarterback that they pretty much weren't planning on keeping
02:19anyway. So kudos to the Browns for stacking picks here.
