Hundreds of hikers rescued from Mount Everest after severe snowstorm

A massive storm left around 900 hikers, guides and other staff stranded in difficult conditions on the Chinese side of Mount Everest on Saturday.

00:06been rescued, state media said. The storm hit late Saturday night, trapping hikers and support
00:13staff at more than 4,900 meters altitude. Some were left without easy access or shelter.
00:20Teams brought food, medicine, heating and oxygen to aid climbers suffering from hypothermia.
00:25By Tuesday, all hikers, guides and workers had descended to safety.
00:31The scenic region in China's Tibet has been temporarily closed.
