00:00You posted that Strictly has given you so much purpose now that you're involved with it.
00:04But what do you mean when you say purpose? What's the purpose?
00:06I think it's reignited that kind of energy, that competitive spirit to get back out there.
00:11And I think when any athlete retires, they feel a little bit lost for a long time.
00:16Their identity, their purpose, it does disappear a bit.
00:19So to have that focus, to go to training every day with Nadia who pushes me,
00:23she challenges me to tell me which foot is left and right and all sorts.
00:27But we're improving. And that's the main thing for a person who, if I'm honest,
00:32probably got laughed at a little bit when I was on the dance floor.
00:35Only from friends, you know, friendly banter and all that kind of stuff.
00:38To now going out there and performing and improving from week to week has been amazing so far.
00:43So yes, it is only baby steps, but it steps in the right direction.
