Controversial pro-Gaza protests are taking place on Tuesday with students set to march through central London on the second anniversary of the October 7 attacks. An “Inter-University March” is among a string of events happening, with hundreds of students marching from King’s College London on the Strand, passing the London School of Economics, University College London and finishing at the School of Oriental and African Studies.Sir Keir Starmer has urged students to call off the protests taking place across the country on the second anniversary of the Hamas attacks - which saw around 1,200 Israelis killed and 251 more taken hostage - calling them “un-British”. The prime minister's official spokesperson said protesters “should demonstrate humanity”.

00:00I live in Devon and we came up for an action in Trafalgar Square on Saturday
00:08where friends of mine were arrested. We've stayed on because it feels really
00:13important to me to be here amongst young people. My children are university age
00:19and I really want to help support young people to be fully informed about what's
00:25going on and to ask themselves how do I want to respond to this. It's so much
00:30more than October the 7th and I feel quite saddened that politicians and
00:39celebrities are speaking out about insensitivity because of what happened in
00:44Manchester. My heart goes out to them and that's obviously really tragic however
00:50given what's happening right now in in Gaza and in the West Bank how can we not be
00:57here and to ask anyone to not protest in this way shows that someone doesn't have
01:03a clear understanding of what's going on.
