00:00Once overlooked by global investors, Uzbekistan is now rewriting the rules of economic transformation in Central Asia.

00:21Over the past 8 years, investments attracted to Uzbekistan reached more than 111 billion euros

00:28and the gross domestic product has doubled, reaching about 100 billion euros last year.

00:34Gold and foreign exchange reserves have exceeded more than 41 billion euros.

00:39Today, 16,000 foreign-invested enterprises operate across the nation,

00:45not just injecting capital but reshaping the economy from the ground up.

00:49The government's goal is bold to double GDP to 172 billion euros by 2030

00:56with foreign direct investment at the heart of that strategy.

01:00From renewable energy and advanced manufacturing to IT and logistics,

01:05foreign investment is driving job creation and unlocking new industries.

01:10With clear ambitions and growing investor confidence,

01:13Uzbekistan is building a future powered by global partnerships.

01:17Here is more.

01:19In this factory, the smell of chocolate and caramel mixes with the sound of progress.

01:23Every day, 200 tons of speeds are produced here,

01:27the result of a journey that began with a small operation back in 2009.

01:32This isn't just a factory, it's a part of Bigger Vision,

01:49a new industrial technopark called Yangi Hayat,

01:51where 10,000 jobs are planted.

01:53They are the result of growing investor confidence in Uzbekistan's economic future.

01:58According to the 2025 Index of Economic Freedom,

02:16the country now leads the region in trade freedom.

02:20Now we see more and more interest in sectors critical minerals,

02:24services, IT sector, finance sector and many others,

02:28which is a significant departure from the type of businesses

02:32that were interested in Uzbekistan, say, 9 or 10 years ago.

02:35Countries like China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey are now among Uzbekistan's top investors.

02:41In Bukhara, Saudi Arabia's aqua power is building to 500 megawatt wind farms.

02:47We believe in the leadership who made things to happen.

02:51And the energy transition, it was the best example today in the world.

02:55But investment isn't only about factories and infrastructure, it's about ideas.

03:00Regional players like TBC Group, a financial service company from Georgia,

03:04are backing Uzbekistan's digital future.

03:07We would invest only if it makes strategic sense for the development of the company.

03:12When we were entering Uzbekistan, a very interesting acquisition would be PayMe.

03:18If we fast forward to today, we have more than 14 million customers.

03:23From factory floors to wind farms, from local startups to global partnerships,

03:29Uzbekistan is proving that smart investment creates real impact.

03:33Joining us now is Shohruh Gulyamov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

03:40Mr. Gulyamov, what are the main investment goals for the country over the next 5 to 10 years

03:46and what steps are being taken by the ministry to reduce bureaucracy?

04:18В новой редакции недавно, вот 20 августа текущего года,

04:22главой государства, на встрече с предпринимателями Узбекистана были даны новые установки в этом направлении,

04:27то есть принятие кодекса об инвестициях — это тоже для нас очень одно из новых направлений.
