00:18Hello and welcome
00:20Across the country
00:21speciale economico zones are being used to support industry
00:25attract investment and expand trade
00:28Uzbekistan currently has 31 special economic zones, along with 423 small industrial zones, 32 technoparks and 381 industrial clusters.
00:41Together, they host more than 8,000 enterprises.
00:45From January to September 2025, industrial output in these zones reached 3.12 billion euros.
00:53Investors are offered a range of incentives, including exemptions from corporate income tax, land and property taxes, as well as
01:02customs due to exemptions on imported equipment and raw materials for up to two years.
01:08Let's take a closer look at how the system works in practice.
01:12In Surkhandarya, near the border with Afghanistan, the Ayrutom Trade Zone becomes active early in the morning.
01:20Traders arrive with goods, buyers move between stalls, and business is conducted across several languages in a single marketplace.
01:39Afghan citizens can enter the zone with a fray for up to 15 days.
01:44The trade area also operates without VAT, helping reduce costs for businesses and traders.
02:03In Navai, projects worth around 2.2 billion euros are operating under a simplified customs regime.
02:23Navai is integrated into national transport corridors, linking road, rail and air routes.
02:29We propose a connection between auto, aviation and electric roads, including the corridor through Termez.
02:38Today, we have an integration with the free economic zone of Navai and the commercial zone of Navai.
02:45From Navai to the Tashkent region, special economic zones are expanding to attract investment and develop industry.
02:53The Tashkent region's special economic zone hosts dozens of foreign enterprises, with new investment continuing to grow.
03:18For investors already operating in the country, the focus is often on expansion and long-term growth.
03:25We have started our job over here in 2024. The current investment is about $130 million. We have a big
03:33plan to work over here producing non-alcoholic drinks, which uses Uzbekistan for the sake of more waste, especially for
03:39export from over here to other countries.
03:42Uzbekistan continues to expand its network of special economic zones across industry, manufacturing and cross-border trade.
03:50Joining us now is Mr. Sokhob Saith Nazarov, head of the department at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade.
03:58Mr. Saith Nazarov, how is the government responding to growing demand for industrial side and special economic zones?
04:04In the first place, we need to note that every year, the foreign investment in the Republic, are large enough.
04:13It's 20-25% each year. And, of course, it requires площадей and infrastructure for the construction of the company.
04:22On today's day, there are more than 150 million dollars each year. We see that the demand and the interest
04:33of investors to these zones are growing.
04:34So, it's a lot of attention to the green energy sector.
04:37Also, the transition to the new stage is the transition to attract private companies to control these zones.
