Pee Mak is a Thai horror-comedy film inspired by the famous Thai ghost legend of Mae Nak Phra Khanong.
The story follows Mak, a soldier who returns home from war with his four friends — Ter, Puak, Shin, and Aey. They travel back to his village, where Mak joyfully reunites with his beautiful wife Nak and their newborn baby. However, strange rumors circulate that Nak may have died during childbirth and that her spirit is haunting the village.
As Mak’s friends begin noticing eerie signs suggesting Nak is a ghost — like her unnatural strength and strange behavior — they struggle between warning their friend and saving themselves. But Mak’s deep love for Nak blinds him to the terrifying truth.
