Sam has an interior-design show, but when she doesn't get to do the Christmas special that she'd hoped for, she lets her uncle convince her to return home to help him repair his storm-damaged inn. Upon arriving, she learns that her uncle has hired Coop as a contractor to do the work. The problem is that Sam and Coop used to be a pair before Sam started her television career and Coop broke off their relationship. Now they must work together despite of their unresolved issues. To improve her chances with the television network, she records their work and publishes it on her social media. Not only does this get the network's attention, but her followers pick up on the sparks that are flying between Sam and Coop.

00:00:00Okay, Soros family, are you ready to see your new living room?
00:00:16Follow me.
00:00:23By refinishing this beautiful fireplace, I was able to bring this entire space to life.
00:00:28And with Christmas coming up, I added some festive touches.
00:00:32This stocking holder from our sponsor, The Home Shop, is one of my favorites.
00:00:36Also, to keep your new space clean, we are gifting you the Shark Backmob.
00:00:41It's a vacuum and a mop.
00:00:44So tell us, what do you think?
00:00:48Cut!
00:00:49Let's go, we're behind schedule.
00:00:51Take care, please.
00:00:52We didn't get to see what they thought. You know that's my favorite part.
00:00:54We can film them giving a reaction later. We'll edit it in in post.
00:00:56Why didn't you get to give them a hug?
00:00:59We can fix that in post, too. Now let's go. We are behind schedule.
00:01:07So I added an electric griddle and then my favorite, a copper sink.
00:01:11How do you like it?
00:01:12Cut!
00:01:12And I added this beautiful tub for you. So how do you like it?
00:01:25Hey!
00:01:25The cover turned out great!
00:01:52Sam, you okay?
00:01:59Power nap.
00:02:05Okay, I'm back. What's up next?
00:02:08Oh, we need to discuss a theme for the live Christmas special.
00:02:11I was thinking, um, Santa's workshop angle.
00:02:13Uh, about that, uh, the network has decided to give the live special to Haley.
00:02:26What?
00:02:28Haley?
00:02:30Yeah.
00:02:31But I was gonna add ten more homes to feature on the special.
00:02:33No host has ever renovated 50 homes in a single year.
00:02:36Josh, no one works harder than me. And especially Haley?
00:02:39Now look, you're killing it. Haley's a new face. The network wants to see how she'll handle it.
00:02:45Her social media's through the roof. Millions of followers. I know, I know, okay?
00:02:48I'm gonna get my numbers up. I'm gonna start posting more.
00:02:51It's about opening up.
00:02:53Recapturing some of that Sam magic that everyone loved in those online videos that you started with.
00:02:59All you ever share now is work.
00:03:01People want to see more of your personal side. What do you do when you're relaxing at home?
00:03:08I'm sorry, my personal side? Yeah, all in between shooting 40 episodes a year.
00:03:13Look, my home is my suitcase.
00:03:15Then this is the perfect time to start.
00:03:17Your show's done till next year, you're off the hook for the special, and it's Christmas,
00:03:23so what better time to just slow down and enjoy?
00:03:26Slow down. Yeah.
00:03:28Wait, are you gonna go and visit your mom down in Florida for Christmas?
00:03:33That would be nice to share.
00:03:36The two of you hanging out, celebrating the holidays.
00:03:39Just document everything. Use a good filter. Natural light when you can.
00:03:43No, she thought I'd be working, so she's on a Christmas cruise with her fiancé.
00:03:48Oh.
00:03:48Okay, uh, what if I, um, what if I do something personal here?
00:03:56Like a tree trimming tutorial at my place with, uh, the Christmas swag from the home shop.
00:04:01Go more personal.
00:04:03A tree trimming party at my place?
00:04:05Getting better.
00:04:06With my one friend slash producer?
00:04:07I was thinking more an actual party with actual friends.
00:04:12Yeah, no, no, no, I can totally make it look like that.
00:04:15I will give some tips, post a sonic pictures, amp up the decor.
00:04:18How's tomorrow?
00:04:19I am...
00:04:20Great!
00:04:20Okay, I'll see you then.
00:04:22Uh, Sam.
00:04:23Boy, this thing has some suck.
00:04:39Oh, my God.
00:05:09Oh, my God.
00:05:39I was just about to call you.
00:05:40I just saw the news about the inn.
00:05:41Are you okay?
00:05:43I'm fine.
00:05:44I'm fine.
00:05:44Nobody got hurt, thank goodness.
00:05:46Just got a big old tree in the middle of the inn now, girl.
00:05:50Ugh, I'm so sorry.
00:05:53How are you?
00:05:55I'm missing Rita every day.
00:06:00Did you see that, uh, episode that I dedicated to her?
00:06:03The one where I renovated that couple's cabin for Christmas?
00:06:05Yeah, I watched it last week.
00:06:08Rita would have loved it.
00:06:09Uh, you know Christmas was always her favorite.
00:06:12Well, she was the queen of it.
00:06:15Always decorating the inn and throwing those amazing Harbor Fests.
00:06:18Hey, you were doing it right alongside her most of the time.
00:06:21Wait a minute, are you going to be able to throw the Harbor Fest?
00:06:27Christmas is less than two weeks away.
00:06:29Well, actually, that's what I'm calling.
00:06:32I'm in need of a little Christmas miracle.
00:06:35For me?
00:06:35I don't know how much Christmas magic I have in me these days.
00:06:40The inn shut down until we repair the damage.
00:06:44I'm going to have to cancel the Harbor Fest for the first Christmas since Rita started it.
00:06:50What?
00:06:50Jack.
00:06:51Well, unless...
00:06:53Well, unless maybe you come back home for Christmas.
00:06:59Come back?
00:07:00To Bell Harbor?
00:07:01Yeah, you could help me get the inn renovated, decorated for the Harbor Fest.
00:07:06And, hey, you're the only person I know who can actually pull this off.
00:07:12Jack, you know, you know I would love to help.
00:07:15But, I mean, I...
00:07:15I can't...
00:07:18No, it's okay.
00:07:19No, it's okay.
00:07:20I knew it was a long shot.
00:07:23I bet you have to have that Christmas special you have to film every year, huh?
00:07:27Okay, even if I could help, there's no way that I could get a crew with this short of notice.
00:07:33Well, I have a crew.
00:07:35And a place for you to stay.
00:07:38I just need the person with the design expertise.
00:07:42Are you in?
00:07:51I'm in.
00:07:51I'm in.
00:07:57Hey, Coop.
00:08:09Oh, hey, Mary.
00:08:15Coop, thanks for picking up my tree.
00:08:16Appreciate it.
00:08:17Anytime, guys.
00:08:20Seriously?
00:08:22Sorry.
00:08:22I'm trying to be a good little sister.
00:08:24It's fine.
00:08:25You don't have to hide it.
00:08:26Sam and I dated a long time ago.
00:08:30I can look at this.
00:08:37See?
00:08:39Right.
00:08:41Come on, it's not like you don't have other pictures of her in here.
00:08:43And I don't like to hold on to the past.
00:08:46Please.
00:08:46You own a reclaimed wood shop.
00:08:49You're obsessed with the past.
00:08:52That's where you're going to put it?
00:08:53You just said it wasn't a problem.
00:08:55It's not.
00:08:56Just distracts from the menus is all.
00:09:00If that's where you want it, fine by me.
00:09:02And you're sure about that?
00:09:04Yes.
00:09:07Sam and I have both moved on.
00:09:08If she was here right now, I would tell her the same thing.
00:09:11I'm very busy and happy in my own life.
00:09:14I don't even think about her.
00:09:15Except for when I see her pictures here.
00:09:17Every day.
00:09:18Tell her yourself.
00:09:26Sounds like you're saying you think about me every day.
00:09:31Sam!
00:09:32Hi!
00:09:32I couldn't believe it when I got your text last night.
00:09:35Her what?
00:09:35Let me get you a cup of coffee.
00:09:37You must be exhausted.
00:09:43Hey, Coop.
00:09:44Sam.
00:09:46What are you doing here?
00:09:48Oh, you know, just taking a Christmas break from my own very busy and happy life.
00:09:53So you're back for the holidays, huh?
00:09:57It's great.
00:09:59It's been a long time.
00:10:02I'll get your size of gingerbread loaf, too.
00:10:04I know you love it.
00:10:05Oh, I do have...
00:10:07Two sugars.
00:10:08None of the fake crap.
00:10:12Thanks.
00:10:14Some things never change.
00:10:17And some things do.
00:10:26Oh, it's so good.
00:10:31It's like Christmas in a cake.
00:10:33There's more where that came from.
00:10:34I have some juice of cinnamon rolls I'm baking now.
00:10:37I'll bring some by later.
00:10:38Oh, and my peppermint bark.
00:10:40You are spoiling me, Jen.
00:10:41I'm just so happy to have you home, especially during the holidays.
00:10:45I mean, you haven't been home for Christmas since...
00:10:47Since we grew up.
00:10:48Since you left to do the show.
00:10:52They're both true.
00:10:53Take your pick.
00:10:55I'm gonna get going.
00:10:56Give my love to Rob, okay?
00:10:57Oh, I will.
00:10:58He'll be so happy to see you back.
00:11:00I'll see you later.
00:11:03Good to see you.
00:11:05Hey, Sam.
00:11:07Maybe we could, um...
00:11:08You know, grab a bite, catch up?
00:11:11Oh, I'm, uh...
00:11:12I'm actually gonna be really busy while I'm here, so...
00:11:14Yeah, me too.
00:11:16I just...
00:11:17Got a huge job out of me this week.
00:11:18Well then, sounds like we both have a lot on our plate.
00:11:26I'm glad to hear your happy coop.
00:11:27Sam, you're home.
00:11:41Hey, John.
00:11:41Hey, how does this look?
00:11:43A little bit this way.
00:11:45Right?
00:11:45Perfect.
00:11:48Merry Christmas.
00:11:48Merry Christmas.
00:11:50Merry Christmas.
00:11:50Merry Christmas.
00:11:51Merry Christmas.
00:11:52Merry Christmas.
00:12:22Oh, there you are. It's been too long since I've seen you.
00:12:37It's been too long since someone's called me that.
00:12:43It feels weird to be here without Rita.
00:12:47To you and me both, kiddo.
00:12:49I'm really sorry I didn't make it to the funeral.
00:12:50I was shooting, and by the time I was able to get a plane,
00:12:53I just... I couldn't make it in time.
00:12:56Well, you're here now to save the Harbourfest for Christmas.
00:12:59And trust me, Rita would have cared a lot more about that.
00:13:04And so do I.
00:13:06Well, I'm going to do my best to make her proud.
00:13:08You always have. Come on, let's take a look, shall we?
00:13:11This looks exactly as I remember it.
00:13:27We'd, uh, already started decorating for Christmas before the storm came in.
00:13:33It looks good.
00:13:34I remember these pillows.
00:13:43Rita and I got them from that antique Christmas market one year.
00:13:46Huh.
00:13:48Uh, luckily, this part of the inn didn't get damaged.
00:13:52But then there is, uh, this part of the inn.
00:13:55Where the work starts.
00:14:01Wow.
00:14:11Jack, I had no idea it was this bad.
00:14:18I'm so sorry.
00:14:20Well, is it too much?
00:14:22I know we only have ten days.
00:14:25Look, if it's more to take on than you thought...
00:14:28No, no, this is...
00:14:29This is what I do.
00:14:31I'll make it work.
00:14:32Don't worry.
00:14:34I don't know how to thank you.
00:14:36Oh, come on.
00:14:37You and Rita always taught us that when it comes to Christmas,
00:14:40it's better to give than receive.
00:14:42Well, that was back when you were a kid,
00:14:44coming to the Harbourfest yourself.
00:14:46You and Rita always gave us the best Christmas presents.
00:14:49Uh, those are from Santa.
00:14:51We just handed them out.
00:14:52Huh.
00:14:55Well, now it's my turn to give you a gift.
00:14:57And I'm not gonna let you down.
00:15:06Alright, we're gonna need to clear out the furniture and the debris.
00:15:08You mentioned a local crew to help out?
00:15:10Yeah, it's more of a one-man operation.
00:15:16Oh, well, here he is now.
00:15:19Sam meets crew.
00:15:20You remember Coop?
00:15:21Wait.
00:15:21What?
00:15:22Uh, and Coop, Sam is here to fix the end and save the Harbourfest.
00:15:25Oh.
00:15:30Now, I didn't even think about, uh...
00:15:33Are you guys okay working together?
00:15:36Yeah, I'm fine with it.
00:15:37I mean, of course, if Coop is...
00:15:39Oh, I'm more than fine with it.
00:15:41I'm thrilled, actually.
00:15:42I'm ecstatic.
00:15:44I'm overjoyed, yes.
00:15:47Sam, I will, uh, show you where you're staying.
00:15:50Pretty small suitcase.
00:16:02Well, I'm not gonna be here for long.
00:16:03Just till after Christmas.
00:16:05That's how you do things now, right?
00:16:07Hmm?
00:16:07Quake and move on fast.
00:16:09Move on fast?
00:16:11Funny, I thought that's what you did to me.
00:16:13Uh, you guys good?
00:16:15Yeah!
00:16:20Here it is.
00:16:31Oh, Coop.
00:16:33This is great.
00:16:34Jenny's gonna love it.
00:16:36Well, it's all you, man.
00:16:38You make my sister happy, which makes my life happy.
00:16:41So, um...
00:16:43I heard that you and Sam are renovating the inn together.
00:16:47Yeah, that's got to be interesting.
00:16:51Interesting?
00:16:52That's one word for it.
00:16:54So you're doing the whole Harbor Fest together?
00:16:56How's that gonna work?
00:16:58I have no idea.
00:17:01It is not a big deal.
00:17:03You're both totally fine with it.
00:17:05Oh, come on.
00:17:06You guys are high school sweethearts.
00:17:07I mean, it's gotta be a little awkward.
00:17:10Yeah.
00:17:10In the past, Rob, you know that.
00:17:13Oh, yeah.
00:17:14Yeah, yeah.
00:17:14Jenny told me.
00:17:15She said you guys are happy and fine and busy,
00:17:20and if you, uh, keep telling yourself that enough times,
00:17:23maybe you'll actually start believing it.
00:17:25I do believe it.
00:17:27I still can't believe this is where we ended up, you know?
00:17:30I mean, five years ago, we were together
00:17:31doing those DIY videos at the inn.
00:17:34I still watch those online whenever I decorate for Christmas.
00:17:36Like that one where you turn those rusted, galvanized tins into tree stands?
00:17:42We had gold spray paint our hair for days.
00:17:45When the Home Network called us about doing a show together,
00:17:48we were so excited.
00:17:49I mean, it was our dream come true.
00:17:51You did a 180.
00:17:53You didn't do the show.
00:17:55You didn't leave town.
00:17:56You broke up.
00:17:58It would have been more awkward if we broke up
00:18:00and I still did the show.
00:18:01And then he just made me do it alone.
00:18:06After all that time, we spent talking about doing it together.
00:18:10Well, maybe it's a good thing you guys are working together again.
00:18:13Might be nice to finally talk about what happened.
00:18:16No.
00:18:16No.
00:18:17Nope.
00:18:17There is no need to rehash that.
00:18:20I'm here for two weeks, and then I'm gone,
00:18:23so we just need to keep it professional.
00:18:24Quick and easy.
00:18:26Look, even if it's not easy, I'm not gonna let that stop me.
00:18:29Sam and I owe that much to Jack.
00:18:32Okay.
00:18:33I guess you got everything under control, then.
00:18:36Definitely.
00:18:37Definitely.
00:18:38Oh, I've got it totally under control.
00:18:52Thanks for today, Jenny.
00:18:54Of course.
00:18:55Oh, don't forget the Cedermal's having their annual tasting tomorrow.
00:18:58Oh, the good old cider tasting.
00:19:01You want to go together?
00:19:03It'll be like old times.
00:19:04Just like old times.
00:19:07Sure.
00:19:08I'll see you tomorrow.
00:19:09Bye.
00:19:09Bye, honey.
00:19:10Bye.
00:19:10Bye.
00:19:10Bye.
00:19:19Bye.
00:19:19Bye.
00:19:20Bye.
00:19:21Bye.
00:19:26Get personal.
00:19:27Great.
00:19:28Okay.
00:19:29Let's give this a try.
00:19:32Okay.
00:19:32Happy, happy, happy.
00:19:34Christmas time.
00:19:39Hey, everyone.
00:19:41So with Christmas coming up, I'm feeling pretty nostalgic.
00:19:45Have you ever actually been home and still felt homesick?
00:19:49Oh, it's terrible.
00:19:53Delete.
00:19:53Delete.
00:19:53Delete.
00:19:53Delete.
00:19:53Delete.
00:19:53Delete.
00:19:53Delete.
00:19:55Delete.
00:19:57Delete.
00:19:59Delete.
00:20:01Delete.
00:20:03Delete.
00:20:05Delete.
00:20:07Delete.
00:20:08Delete.
00:20:09Coffee.
00:20:11Coffee.
00:20:18What are you doing here?
00:20:19Jack didn't tell you?
00:20:20You're staying here, too?
00:20:24You're staying here, too?
00:20:39Okay.
00:20:40So I came up with an overall plan last night.
00:20:43I'm still working on the drawings, but I just want to kind of walk through the space
00:20:46with you to give you an idea of what I'm thinking.
00:20:48So the first thing we do is we're going to tear down this wall.
00:20:52Tear down?
00:20:53Why not pass it up?
00:20:54Well, because an open concept will add more light to the space.
00:20:57And if we do this, we can create a bigger great room, and we can add a window array that looks out to the water.
00:21:05We're going to save the studs, though.
00:21:07We're going to save the studs, though.
00:21:08They're true dimensional.
00:21:09Are you a secret hoarder?
00:21:12With the Harborfest taking place here, it'll give us more room, and then we can see the Christmas tree from every part of it.
00:21:20Well, that would be quite the view.
00:21:23Beautiful.
00:21:24Thanks.
00:21:30Let's see.
00:21:31We need new furniture.
00:21:32I can get a deal through the home shop if I give them some plugs.
00:21:36Their stuff is all the same.
00:21:38No personality, no history.
00:21:40Rita picked every single piece of furniture in this inn.
00:21:43I know.
00:21:44I remember.
00:21:45But a big box store is a really good starting point.
00:21:47It looks nice, and remember, people are coming here for Christmas, so it needs to look professionally done.
00:21:52Huh.
00:21:53I designed 40 houses a year.
00:21:55I think I know how to make a place feel like a home.
00:21:59What?
00:22:00I just forgot how opinionated you are.
00:22:04Huh.
00:22:05Well, I forgot how stubborn you are.
00:22:07Oh, look.
00:22:08There's a scratch on the table.
00:22:09Should we chuck it?
00:22:10I think there's a napkin that guests sneezed in and left behind for you.
00:22:13I'm not sure how to make a place feel like a home.
00:22:15I'm not sure how to make a place feel like a home.
00:22:18I'm not sure how to make a place feel like a home.
00:22:19I think there's a napkin that guests sneezed in and left behind four years ago.
00:22:22Should we save it?
00:22:27Look, what I do want to make sure we use for the Harbor Fest is Rita's Christmas china.
00:22:30Like she always did.
00:22:32No new plates from the home shop?
00:22:36Remember when Rita and Jack used to tell us that the china had Christmas magic in it?
00:22:41Of course it did.
00:22:42What?
00:22:47No.
00:22:51When the tree hit the house, it took the whole thing to the core.
00:22:54These were vintage.
00:22:56Even if we tried, we could never replace these.
00:22:59Well, you're not going to get rid of them.
00:23:02What do you want to do? Glue them back together?
00:23:03I mean, even if we tried, it would never be the same.
00:23:09So what?
00:23:10When something's broken, you're just done with it forever?
00:23:15Pretty much.
00:23:18Some things can't be fixed.
00:23:19Oh, God, how cute this is. Do they still do the Santa thing off to?
00:23:36Yep. You and Coop used to do a pretty mean duet, if I recall.
00:23:40How's it going with you two at the inn?
00:23:43Great. Other than the fact that we can barely be in the same room without driving each other crazy.
00:23:46Oh, that good, huh?
00:23:48Yeah, it's going to be nice to get a little break from...
00:23:51Hey, Gare.
00:23:53Coop!
00:23:55Sam.
00:23:57I didn't know you were coming with Jenny.
00:23:59Uh, actually, I'm getting pretty tired, so I think I'm going to go.
00:24:03No, no, no. Rob and I are heading out.
00:24:06Here you go, buddy.
00:24:08Okay, this is silly. We're working together. We're both adults.
00:24:11That's debatable.
00:24:13There's no reason we both can't stay and have a good time.
00:24:17Sure.
00:24:19So glad you're back, Sam.
00:24:21And then Coop decided we had to win the snowball fight.
00:24:25Me? You're out for blood. You're pummeling everyone like it was some kind of Christmas Olympics.
00:24:29Yeah, I think I still got the bruises.
00:24:31I'm sorry, but it does lead me to my point that Coop and I are the only undefeated Belle Harbour Snowball Throwdown Champions.
00:24:37Very true.
00:24:38Well, we're going to have to challenge that because Rob and I are now the longest-running champions.
00:24:44Boop!
00:24:45Oh, speaking of champions, should we get going?
00:24:47Oh, yeah. I have to perk everything for the Christmas pie big back tomorrow.
00:24:50We better be there.
00:24:51Of course.
00:24:52You got it in the bag.
00:24:53Alright, so I'll come with you then.
00:24:54No! Stay.
00:24:56I insist.
00:25:00See ya, buddy.
00:25:01Everyone is counting on us, so let's make sure we get back on our timeline today.
00:25:21I agree.
00:25:22I think that is all I need for out front.
00:25:25Yeah.
00:25:26Okay.
00:25:28Hey, I was looking at your plans last night.
00:25:30I got an idea for the mantle.
00:25:31I think that if I use the wood for-
00:25:33No, we don't have enough time.
00:25:34I mean, I'm sure it would look great, but let's just keep it as simple as possible.
00:25:38Since when do we keep the Harbourfest simple?
00:25:41Since we have less than two weeks to do it in.
00:25:43Look, I've got a plan in order and I think it's going to look great.
00:25:47I'm just the crew.
00:25:49Got it.
00:25:50I'll just pay for this and load it up.
00:25:51I didn't mean it that way.
00:25:52I got to take this.
00:25:57Hey, Josh. Miss me already?
00:25:59I do miss you since I haven't seen you post a single video.
00:26:03Yeah, I know, I know.
00:26:04I will, uh, I will post something and I promise I will make it very personal for you.
00:26:14I think you're really going to love it, babe.
00:26:18Babe?
00:26:19Is that a thing we're doing now?
00:26:20It's very Hollywood, but I can roll with that.
00:26:23Let me know if you like it, babe.
00:26:27All right. See you later, babe.
00:26:28See you later, babe.
00:26:29Yeah.
00:26:30Hey, everyone. So I'm here in Belle Harbour where I grew up.
00:26:38And, uh, this inn is very special to me. So I'm excited to get it fixed up for the Harbour Fest that we do here every year for Christmas.
00:26:47What's that voice you use?
00:26:48What do you mean it's my voice?
00:26:49What do you mean it's my voice?
00:26:50Yeah, but it changes when you film. It's kind of like a host voice.
00:26:51Well, I am a host.
00:26:52You gotta film those things the whole time?
00:26:53No.
00:26:54No.
00:26:55So the first project that we're tackling is we are a host.
00:26:56We are a host.
00:26:57You're a host.
00:26:58You're a host.
00:26:59You're a host.
00:27:00You're a host.
00:27:01You're a host.
00:27:02You're a host.
00:27:03Uh, to make an even bigger great room. So stay tuned. And I'll show you how it turns out.
00:27:09when you film it's kind of like a host voice.
00:27:12Well I am a host.
00:27:15You gotta film those things the whole time?
00:27:17No.
00:27:21So the first project that we're tackling is we are demoing this wall
00:27:26to make an even bigger great room.
00:27:29So stay tuned and I'll show you how it turns out.
00:27:33Okay, so we need to replace this header beam because it's load-bearing.
00:27:38Once this wall is down, let's keep ten inches on each side.
00:27:41There it is. There's your real voice.
00:27:44Thanks for the feedback.
00:27:46I'll check back in when you're done.
00:27:48Seriously?
00:27:50If you're gonna do this, you gotta really do it, not just for the camera.
00:27:53What does that mean?
00:27:54It means since when? Do not do your own demo.
00:28:08Okay, so with demo, you want to make sure that you put all your force into it.
00:28:20And for some reason, this is feeling very cathartic.
00:28:24It's a great way to get out of the holiday stress.
00:28:27Especially when the people around you are driving me a little nuts.
00:28:30Hey.
00:28:31Oh, hey Jack.
00:28:32So how's everything going at the inn? I mean, everything working out okay?
00:28:45We're finding our way. Or her way.
00:29:00Ah.
00:29:01Rita used to say that Sam was like a gingerbread cookie. Sweet, but with a little bit of a kick.
00:29:06But the kick is the best part.
00:29:08Feels like a kick below the belt right now.
00:29:12Well, then I have one more piece of advice.
00:29:15Wait on me.
00:29:16When in doubt, there's nothing a slice of pie can't make better.
00:29:22Pie bake-off.
00:29:23Pie bake-off.
00:29:25It's tonight.
00:29:26Yeah.
00:29:27Thanks, Jack.
00:29:29Yeah.
00:29:30Thanks, Jack.
00:29:31Yeah.
00:29:32Thanks, Jack.
00:29:33Yeah.
00:29:36Hey, I-I was gonna go with Sam tonight, but I feel a little tired.
00:29:40Uh, could you do me a favor? Walk over with her?
00:29:45Sure.
00:29:48Great.
00:29:58Is that the crate from the tree farm?
00:30:01Yeah.
00:30:02I thought it'd be nice to dress up the rooms a little bit more.
00:30:04Wrapped in a sand-fixed bow.
00:30:07Minutes after you demolish a wall.
00:30:09Considered me impressed.
00:30:11Well, it's been nice to be able to find things again that inspire me.
00:30:16You don't get to do that on your show?
00:30:18No, not really.
00:30:19Things just usually get sent over through production, so.
00:30:22Creating something out of nothing has always been your superpower.
00:30:25Uh, Jack said we should just head over without him.
00:30:32To the pie bake-off.
00:30:35Oh.
00:30:36I forgot about that.
00:30:38You know what?
00:30:39I think, uh, we've got a lot of work to do tomorrow, so I think I'm just gonna finish these and then get to bed early, so.
00:30:45Huh.
00:30:47Why?
00:30:48You said you haven't celebrated a real Christmas in years.
00:30:51How are you gonna throw the Harbor Fest if you don't get in the spirit a little?
00:30:53Well, how are we gonna throw it if the inn isn't ready?
00:30:56The Sam I used to know liked to have fun.
00:30:59Well, the Sam I know takes her work very seriously.
00:31:02Okay.
00:31:04A few more pieces of ginger snap apple pie for me, then.
00:31:07Well, maybe you could, uh, bring one home.
00:31:11Sorry.
00:31:12Against the rules.
00:31:14Okay, okay, but this is just so I can support Jenny.
00:31:18Okay.
00:31:20Okay, I'm gonna go fix my hair.
00:31:23I'll wait.
00:31:25Okay.
00:31:27Let go.
00:31:28Yes.
00:31:50Okay, I'm gonna give you the lay of the land.
00:31:52There's still a few main contenders.
00:31:55Ah, okay.
00:31:56Well, I obviously know a few.
00:31:57There's Jenny, Phil...
00:31:59Mandy Jenkins.
00:32:01Wait, the lunch lady Mandy Jenkins?
00:32:04She ended up going to culinary school.
00:32:06Oh.
00:32:07And she makes a mean eggnog pie.
00:32:09Excuse me?
00:32:11Do I hear my own flesh and blood talking up the competition?
00:32:13Never.
00:32:14No.
00:32:15Okay.
00:32:17All right, guys.
00:32:18My hot cocoa pie with marshmallow topping and peppermint crumble will make even the coldest Grinch heart burst in a tinsel.
00:32:27Okay, bye.
00:32:29Uh, we're not giving any hints as to who made it because it's a non-biased taste test, but, um...
00:32:37You got it.
00:32:39Ugh, this looks too pretty to eat.
00:32:41Oh.
00:32:43Really?
00:32:45You're one of those people who post pictures of food?
00:32:48I'm trying to show more of my personal side on social media, if you must know.
00:32:53My, uh, producer Josh has been on my case about it.
00:32:56Ah.
00:32:57Your producer Josh wants you to share more of your personal side.
00:33:03That's what I said.
00:33:05So, you want to share more of your personal side on social media and you think that's how you do it?
00:33:13You're right.
00:33:15I can do better.
00:33:19It wasn't a challenge.
00:33:20It sounded like one.
00:33:21You want to join me?
00:33:23No.
00:33:25Hey everyone, so I'm at the Bell Harbor Christmas Pie Bake Off with the world's best hot cocoa pie and...
00:33:33A mystery man who refuses to show his face.
00:33:36Let me guess, you're not on, uh, social media at all?
00:33:39No.
00:33:40Does that mean you've tried to look me up?
00:33:43I might have.
00:33:45Once or twice.
00:33:46You know, I didn't know that someone could actually be unsearchable.
00:33:49You don't even have a site for your business.
00:33:51Well, word of mouth suits me just fine.
00:33:55So, does that mean that you've never looked me up either?
00:33:59I may have.
00:34:01Once or twice.
00:34:02But to be honest, Jenny is better than any search engine.
00:34:06Really?
00:34:08Well, what have you heard?
00:34:10Well, you're on your fourth year of your show on the Home Network.
00:34:14Your mom is getting married this summer and you're dating a realtor who, um, who also has a show on the network.
00:34:24Wow.
00:34:26Jenny sounds more like a, uh, entertainment correspondent.
00:34:29But, uh, yeah, she got, she got most of it right.
00:34:34You're, uh, you're not with the guy anymore?
00:34:38No, we, uh, we ended things a while ago.
00:34:41Honestly, we both worked and traveled so much, so...
00:34:45We barely saw each other. It wasn't...
00:34:46Who wants more pie?
00:34:48Me.
00:34:49Yes.
00:34:50Me too.
00:34:52Bye.
00:34:56Okay.
00:34:58Oh, hey. Don't forget to take a picture.
00:35:01Good call.
00:35:02Mm-hmm.
00:35:03I don't know.
00:35:12No.
00:35:13Do not, do not pose.
00:35:14Give me the phone.
00:35:15No, I think I have to go.
00:35:16No, give me that phone.
00:35:17Give me that phone.
00:35:20The winner is Jenny!
00:35:23Woohoo!
00:35:25Yeah, Jenny!
00:35:26Anyways, I should, um, I really should get going.
00:35:34Let me walk you back.
00:35:35No, I mean...
00:35:37Stay.
00:35:38Enjoy.
00:35:43Yeah!
00:35:47Congrats.
00:35:52Where's him?
00:35:53Oh, she, um, she had to head out.
00:35:57Have you thought about telling her the truth?
00:36:00Why you called things off?
00:36:03It's in the past, Jenny.
00:36:05But maybe it shouldn't be.
00:36:07I mean, if you don't do it before Christmas,
00:36:09I don't know if you're ever gonna get another chance.
00:36:11So, from the comments on the video yesterday, it seems like you all want to see more of this Christmas reno and that pie recipe.
00:36:30I can't help you with that.
00:36:31I'm actually a terrible baker.
00:36:33I leave that to my friend Jenny, who owns this shop, Muddy Waters, here in Belle Harbor.
00:36:38But what I can show you is a preview of the inn.
00:36:40Our framing materials are coming in later today and a very busy day ahead of us, so stay tuned.
00:36:47So you really are gonna be doing that the whole time.
00:36:49I wouldn't expect a guy who's so far off the map and has a flip phone to understand.
00:36:54But, yes, we got over a thousand likes on the clip I shared yesterday.
00:36:58Which means what?
00:37:00That means that more people are hearing about Christmas in Belle Harbor.
00:37:03And I forgot, it's kind of fun to share this DIY stuff.
00:37:07And the comments, they've been really sweet.
00:37:10Here, look at that one.
00:37:11Hmm.
00:37:12I've been meaning to tackle a demo project this Christmas.
00:37:16You make it look easy.
00:37:18Okay.
00:37:20Then it looks like it's gonna be so cute.
00:37:23Oh, that's nice.
00:37:26Oh!
00:37:28There's gonna be no snow this Christmas because the chemistry between you two is so hot.
00:37:33Okay.
00:37:35You get the gist.
00:37:37Yeah.
00:37:38Hey, I know you have your own plan, but, um, I found this in the storage closet and thought it could help.
00:37:46Read a sketchbook.
00:37:55Oh, wow.
00:37:57I think this is one of the signs for the first Harbor Fest.
00:38:00Oh, I remember that.
00:38:02That's when Rita wanted you to do a whole Christmas candy area in the front.
00:38:04Right.
00:38:05And you came up with the idea to give the table candy cane legs.
00:38:09Yeah.
00:38:12Oh, wow.
00:38:13That is so pretty.
00:38:15An arbor right by the Christmas tree.
00:38:18Perfect spot for a Christmas wedding.
00:38:21Actually, that'd be a really good spot to post pictures from.
00:38:24Or sitting in joy with no technology at all.
00:38:28How'd it turn out?
00:38:30What?
00:38:31The arbor when you made it.
00:38:36I don't know what this is from.
00:38:38We never did it.
00:38:40Yeah, I, uh, I've never seen it before.
00:38:43Then, Sam.
00:38:45I heard you two were back together again.
00:38:48Oh, we always knew it would happen.
00:38:50Oh, no.
00:38:52We're, um, we're just working together.
00:38:54Strictly professional.
00:38:55Yeah, sure.
00:38:56That's what I said.
00:38:58Merry Christmas, guys.
00:39:00Okay.
00:39:01Merry Christmas.
00:39:03Wow.
00:39:07Perfect.
00:39:08It looks like our framing material should be pulling up any minute.
00:39:14It's gonna move on.
00:39:16Okay.
00:39:18This is what we're using?
00:39:21Yes.
00:39:22That's why there's five pallets of it here.
00:39:24Why?
00:39:26Because it's not good quality.
00:39:29I mean, I know it's not a hundred-year-old reclaimed oak, but I think it's fine.
00:39:34Plus, it was all I was able to get on such short notice.
00:39:37Well, maybe if you asked your crew for a local hookup, you would have had more choices.
00:39:41But that would have meant you actually taken my opinion.
00:39:43Please don't be like that.
00:39:44Look, we have eight days here.
00:39:46I'm just trying to get this job done.
00:39:48How?
00:39:50This is still builder's grade, okay?
00:39:52So next time we need new materials, I'll ask you.
00:39:54But for now, let's just get going.
00:39:56I think it looks good.
00:39:57So as long as it looks good on the outside, it doesn't matter what the real story is.
00:40:01Come on, Sam.
00:40:02This place means something to me.
00:40:04I care about this place too.
00:40:08I'm not using it.
00:40:12Fine, then I'll just do it myself.
00:40:15Fine.
00:40:16Pretty sure that's what you wanted to do anyway.
00:40:19Great.
00:40:20Great.
00:40:34Good.
00:40:35Good.
00:40:36Good.
00:40:37Good bet.
00:40:38Good.
00:40:39Good for now
00:40:52Qu Brittany.
00:40:53Oh my God.
00:42:01Sam!
00:42:03Grab a seat.
00:42:08Everything going okay?
00:42:11Uh, yeah.
00:42:13You need a hand?
00:42:15What, do you have time?
00:42:16I thought you said you were knocking the wall down this afternoon.
00:42:20Coop's, uh...
00:42:22Taking a little break.
00:42:23Ah.
00:42:27Hey, did Brita ever talk to you about building an arbor?
00:42:30I saw it in her sketchbook.
00:42:34Oh, yeah.
00:42:35That was an idea of hers once, but we...
00:42:37We didn't end up doing it.
00:42:45You two managed to collect so many of these?
00:42:49Yeah, and for once, these weren't Rita's antiquing.
00:42:53Years ago, right when we were learning the history of the inn,
00:42:56and thinking of starting the Harbourfest,
00:42:59Brita befriended a tinsmith.
00:43:01A tinsmith?
00:43:02A tinsmith.
00:43:03That kind of sounds like her.
00:43:05Oh, yeah.
00:43:06Only one still working in all of New England, huh?
00:43:08Well, he was so, uh, charmed by her, of course,
00:43:11in the history of Harbourfest,
00:43:13he made dozens for us.
00:43:15Yeah, we've had these for years,
00:43:19through all of our Christmases together.
00:43:21And even now, they're bringing me comfort.
00:43:26Even on my first Christmas without her.
00:43:30Well, Rita always said that the most valuable things
00:43:32had a good story behind them.
00:43:41Is everything okay?
00:43:45Yeah, it will be.
00:43:48I hope.
00:43:48I have to go.
00:43:52Yeah.
00:43:53Yeah.
00:44:14You still sulk in the same spot.
00:44:18Remember when we were younger,
00:44:27we used to sneak in here.
00:44:30And whenever there was a storm,
00:44:31we'd bring in pillows and blankets
00:44:34and just watch it for hours.
00:44:41Yeah.
00:44:42It's been a lot of late nights here.
00:44:43We always got the master key somehow.
00:44:51It wasn't a master key.
00:44:53I used to pick the lock.
00:44:56Of course you did.
00:45:01What happened to the old fence?
00:45:03The one with our initials in it.
00:45:05They tore it out.
00:45:06Why would they do that?
00:45:08It was rotting.
00:45:12I'm surprised it bothers you.
00:45:14Okay, enough.
00:45:15Look, we might not agree on everything,
00:45:17but I know that we want to make the Harbor Fest
00:45:19and Christmas amazing for Jack.
00:45:20Yeah, but I don't want it just to look amazing.
00:45:25I want it to be amazing.
00:45:26Even when a camera's not rolling.
00:45:29This place matters to both of us.
00:45:31A lot.
00:45:32I owe everything to Jack and Rita.
00:45:35So, if you say those materials aren't good enough,
00:45:39then I trust you.
00:45:42You do?
00:45:43Yes.
00:45:44We've always worked well as a team,
00:45:46so let's actually start being a team.
00:45:49That means no walking away.
00:45:53No shortcuts?
00:45:54And we're going to tell a story,
00:45:56like Rita always did.
00:45:58We'll make this even better
00:45:59than any other Harbor Fest for Jack.
00:46:04Deal?
00:46:05Deal.
00:46:12I found a bunch of Rita's old clippings for inspo.
00:46:14We definitely have to go classic Christmas with the decor.
00:46:17She went all out.
00:46:19Oh, and I talked to Jack about a tinsmith.
00:46:21I was going to ask him
00:46:22if maybe he could make some mugs to go with the cider.
00:46:24And then that idea you had for the mantel.
00:46:27You think you still have time?
00:46:29I think so.
00:46:31But don't you want to go simple?
00:46:33Nah.
00:46:34It's Christmas.
00:46:35Let's make some magic.
00:46:44All right.
00:46:45Now you do.
00:46:59Now you do.
00:47:13Here we go.
00:47:29All right.
00:47:33So we're going to start installing the vinyl windows tomorrow,
00:47:45but first I wanted to share us picking out
00:47:47the Christmas tree for the Harbor Fest.
00:47:48Let's be honest.
00:47:49You're doing the picking?
00:47:50I'm just a muscle around here.
00:47:52Okay.
00:47:55Okay.
00:48:09Nice.
00:48:11Merry Christmas.
00:48:11Yes, Ryan.
00:48:13Yes, Ryan.
00:48:22Josh, what do I have to do to get Sam Carpenter on our show?
00:48:26Well, we've had this conversation before, Ryan.
00:48:29She's very busy.
00:48:31I've left you like 10 voicemails, Josh.
00:48:34I'm very busy.
00:48:35Josh, please.
00:48:38Say it.
00:48:39So the key to a good wreath is this threading technique that I'm going to show you.
00:48:53It's super simple.
00:48:55So.
00:48:58All right.
00:49:01Oh, funny.
00:49:23Well, well-oiled machine.
00:49:35What's that?
00:49:36All right.
00:49:36Here we go again.
00:49:38Now I know why this is a three-person job.
00:49:41Yeah, yeah.
00:49:42Okay, so I love these.
00:49:46Who wants a donut?
00:49:49I love you.
00:49:51Heard her, guys.
00:49:52She loves me.
00:49:52I'm stalking to the donut.
00:49:56The donut.
00:50:04Okay.
00:50:05Ready?
00:50:06Yeah.
00:50:08One, two, one.
00:50:10Oh, yeah.
00:50:12Oh, that's coming.
00:50:13There we go.
00:50:15Oh, it's a beaut.
00:50:22There we go.
00:50:24Perfect.
00:50:25Oh!
00:50:33Coop.
00:50:37Yeah.
00:50:38We can't.
00:50:41I wasn't.
00:50:41We just need to keep it professional.
00:50:49Okay.
00:50:57Are we interrupting something?
00:51:00Oh, just us decking the halls.
00:51:02What's going on?
00:51:04Are we picking you guys up tomorrow morning or what?
00:51:07What's tomorrow morning?
00:51:09The snowball throwdown.
00:51:11Wait, wait.
00:51:12How is there a snowball throwdown when there's barely been any snow this winter?
00:51:16The snowman.
00:51:18Nick has a snow machine, so no making excuses, Sam.
00:51:22I don't know.
00:51:25We got a lot of work to do.
00:51:27The Harbor Fest is in a few days.
00:51:29Mm-mm.
00:51:30I told you.
00:51:31They're too scared.
00:51:32They're not going to make it.
00:51:33I guess the crown is ours for another year, Rob.
00:51:35Oh, yeah.
00:51:36Hey, Coop.
00:51:43How were you going to throw the Harbor Fest without getting into the spirit?
00:51:47And throwing a snowball at Rob's face?
00:51:49Hey!
00:51:49Uh-uh.
00:51:51Okay.
00:51:53We'll be there.
00:51:56We're also in.
00:51:57Yeah.
00:51:58Yeah, we are.
00:51:59Ha-ha.
00:52:06Welcome to the Belle Harbor Snowball Throwdown.
00:52:23Yes!
00:52:24Woo!
00:52:25Oh, and thanks to Nick the Snowman, Bradley.
00:52:29Yeah!
00:52:30How's the minute it happened?
00:52:33As last year's champ, I'm going to go over the rules.
00:52:36One more time.
00:52:38We work in teams of two.
00:52:42If you or your partner get hit, you are out.
00:52:46Last two standing win.
00:52:51All right, guys, let's go.
00:52:52Let's move.
00:52:52Let's move.
00:52:53Let's move.
00:52:53Let's move.
00:52:53Let's move.
00:52:53Let's move.
00:52:57Green.
00:53:01Same strategy as the old days?
00:53:03I pack you throw.
00:53:04All right, you go.
00:53:05Perfect.
00:53:05Ready?
00:53:11Set.
00:53:14Go!
00:53:19I got this.
00:53:21Let's go.

00:56:27Let's go.
00:56:28Let's go.
00:56:29Let's go.
00:56:30Let's go.
00:56:31we've just been having fun and shooting what we've been up to. Everyone getting in the holiday
00:56:35spirit. Well, it is working. And, and, everyone is shipping you and Coop. Whatever that means,
00:56:44I'm just going to assume that it's good. No, I am being serious. Someone even started a fan
00:56:49account for Coop's arms. His arms? Apparently they're very muscular. In case you haven't
00:56:56noticed. I mean, I, I might have noticed. And the hashtag I want soup for Christmas is
00:57:04trending. Soup? Who eats soup for Christmas? No, soup. S-O-O-P. It is you and Coop's celebrity
00:57:11couple name. Well, there's going to be a lot of disappointed people come Christmas because
00:57:15Coop and I are just, we're just, we're working together. Oh, Sam, come on. Seriously? It is
00:57:22hard to pick chemistry like that. Okay. Do we have chemistry? Yes, we always have. But
00:57:28look, when we ended, I just, yeah, I can't let myself go back there. And honestly, I don't
00:57:34even know if he would want to either. Okay, fine. Just keep your eye on the prize. I am
00:57:39talking to the network about those 10 extra homes for you to renovate. Everyone is very,
00:57:44very, very excited. Now, when do you get back? The day after Christmas. Okay. I'll see you
00:57:49then, babe. Sam. Okay. Bye.
00:57:56Nope.
00:58:13Oh, wow. He finished. Almost. Just have to soften a few edges.
00:58:18Gorgeous. And tells a story. This is all the wood you salvaged from the tree.
00:58:25Told you it was worth saving. Something special about holding on to something from the past.
00:58:30Not giving up on it and figuring out a way to make it work. You didn't do that with me.
00:58:36Wasn't exactly like that. You hold on to everything, Coop. Every rusted nail, every last bit of wood. And with us, you just, you just gave up. And I still don't know why.
00:58:43Sam. You know what? Sam. You know what? Actually, sorry. We don't, we don't need to go down that road.
00:58:50You sure? Because we could definitely go down this road. No. No, no, it's, uh, it's all in the past. There's no need to bring it back up.
00:58:57Because what we should be focusing on is the Harbor Fest. We only have three days left and there's still a lot we need to fill in. So...
00:59:04No. No.
00:59:11You, uh, you ended up saving, uh, the broken Christmas china of Brito's, right?
00:59:16Of course I did.
00:59:18I guess you won't be calling me a hoarder, but I'm the only one.
00:59:21That's the other thing. Yes.
00:59:24No.
00:59:26You, uh, you ended up saving, uh, the broken Christmas china of Rita's, right?
00:59:30Of course I did.
00:59:32Guess you won't be calling me a hoarder anymore, will you?
00:59:35No, no. I still won't.
01:00:00Still sketching the same spot.
01:00:16Feels nice to have time and freedom to just think and design.
01:00:25All the Christmas decorating I've done since I left here has been for the show.
01:00:33It's been great and it's all looked really beautiful,
01:00:37but I don't always get the chance to connect with the people I'm doing it for.
01:00:42You know, to uncover their stories.
01:00:47There's something special about this.
01:00:50What's the Christmas magic at Bell Harbor?
01:00:55Always was your favorite holiday.
01:00:58Hmm. Hasn't been for a while.
01:01:02But I'm starting to remember what I love about it again.
01:01:07Can you really build that?
01:01:10Uh-huh.
01:01:13Can you actually make this?
01:01:16Rita's Arbor.
01:01:18But with adding a lighting element to it to bring it to life.
01:01:21So here's what I was thinking.
01:01:23It'll tell a story and it'll honor Rita and Jack all at the same time.
01:01:27With our own little twist on it.
01:01:31Do you think you have time to build it?
01:01:33I think so.
01:01:34We can get started now if you want to give me a hand.
01:01:38I'd love that.
01:01:40I'm really glad you're back, Sam.
01:01:46Yeah, me too.
01:01:48Feels nice to be somewhere that feels like home.
01:01:55It is your home.
01:01:57Always will be.
01:01:58So you ready?
01:01:59Ready for...
01:02:00Um.
01:02:01Gotta get to the wood shop.

01:09:05because you're busy
01:09:08i have been
01:09:09but there's a reason it's been so easy for me to say yes to host those specials
01:09:14it meant having an excuse not to come back to the place where my heart broke
01:09:18when you told me on christmas eve that you weren't leaving with me
01:09:21do you think i just brushed that off
01:09:23sad
01:09:24we could have done the show together
01:09:25we could have been together this whole time
01:09:28but you chose to walk away from all of that
01:09:30it wasn't easy for me either you could have stayed
01:09:32you didn't give me much of a choice
01:09:35if you didn't want to do the show you could have told me a lot earlier
01:09:38instead of just quitting on me last second
01:09:40like that wasn't you really breaking up with me
01:09:43it wasn't like that
01:09:44then what was it like because i still don't understand
01:09:46it was never gonna be our show
01:09:53what do you mean
01:09:55when the network came to bell harbor
01:09:58it was because they saw our videos of us
01:10:00fixing up the rooms at the inn and decorating for christmas
01:10:03yeah they talked a big game
01:10:04they got us excited
01:10:05and then right before i was going to meet you here on christmas eve
01:10:08the network came to me
01:10:09they told me they were only interested in you
01:10:12why didn't you tell me
01:10:17i had plans for us but
01:10:20i was trying to do the right thing
01:10:22by lying to me
01:10:25by not forcing you into a bad choice
01:10:27i knew how much you wanted that show
01:10:29i didn't want to make you decide between me and your dream
01:10:32so you decided for me
01:10:33is that it
01:10:34you didn't even give me a chance to fight for us
01:10:38to try to make it work
01:10:39you didn't give me a choice in any of this
01:10:43i was protecting you
01:10:44or maybe you were protecting yourself
01:10:47you dan i was Poland
01:10:54and i was taking care of each other
01:10:55i was gonna be a good idea
01:10:56i was gonna give you a chance to do it
01:10:57and i was gonna kill you
01:10:58in her face
01:10:58and i was gonna kill you
01:10:59so i was gonna kill you
01:11:00and i was gonna kill you
01:11:00Sam.
01:11:28Wow.
01:11:30Can't believe you pulled it off
01:11:35No
01:11:38We did
01:11:41Jack's here
01:12:00Jack, you ready for your tour?
01:12:10Like a kid on Christmas morning
01:12:13People have been coming to spend their Christmas Eve here together for years
01:12:31We knew it needed to feel like home
01:12:39Like a place where you could disconnect from the regular world
01:12:42And celebrate each other
01:12:44And we added a few new Christmas treasures of our own
01:12:47We wanted this to be the next chapter in your story
01:12:57Another piece woven into its history
01:13:00The original mantle got pretty banged up, so
01:13:03We created a new one
01:13:05Using the wood reclaimed from the tree
01:13:07It's just beautiful
01:13:10Like Coop always says, sometimes it's worth it to hold on to something
01:13:15And make it work
01:13:17Sometimes you have to let go of something you love
01:13:22If it's the right thing to do
01:13:27So that's why I listened to Sam when she said, we've got to get rid of this wall
01:13:35I'll see the rest of it
01:13:40We wanted to tell a story
01:13:42We wanted to tell a story
01:13:46Like Rita always did
01:13:58And what better story this year than of old and new traditions merging together
01:14:01And what better story this year than of old and new traditions merging together
01:14:27Like a little Christmas magic
01:14:32Were you in on this?
01:14:43Huh?
01:14:50Thank you
01:14:51Well, you've all done yourselves
01:14:58Rita would have been blown away
01:15:00Well, speaking of Rita
01:15:05Who's that?
01:15:15Rita's Christmas china
01:15:17It always welcomed everyone during the holidays
01:15:19And now it always will
01:15:21We found the design in Rita's sketchbook
01:15:29And we added our own little twist to it
01:15:32It's constructed with the wood from the fallen tree
01:15:35Over a hundred years of history in this
01:15:38Well, Rita always said the most valuable things had a story behind them
01:15:42And what a story it was
01:15:55You know, when Rita and I moved in here
01:16:03It was just a building
01:16:04Four walls, roof
01:16:06It's the love, the memories
01:16:10The people you shared with
01:16:11That made it a home
01:16:12Thank you for this
01:16:20Merry Christmas, Jack
01:16:22Merry Christmas
01:16:27Merry Christmas
01:16:28Merry Christmas
01:16:29Merry Christmas

01:16:36Merry Christmas
01:16:37Merry Christmas
01:16:38Merry Christmas
01:16:39Merry Christmas
01:16:40Merry Christmas
01:16:41Merry Christmas
01:16:42Merry Christmas
01:16:43Merry Christmas
01:16:44Merry Christmas
01:16:45Merry Christmas
01:16:46Merry Christmas
01:16:47Merry Christmas
01:16:48Merry Christmas
01:16:49Merry Christmas
01:16:50Merry Christmas
01:16:51Merry Christmas
01:16:52Merry Christmas
01:16:53Merry Christmas
01:16:54Merry Christmas
01:16:55Merry Christmas
01:17:56Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Don't tell me it's time.
01:18:01Please don't make me say goodbye.
01:18:04Merry Christmas, Savage.
01:18:07And thanks for being my Christmas miracle.
01:18:09Uh, okay, maybe it's not my place, but I can't let you leave without knowing the truth.
01:18:20Coop was not planning to quit on you that Christmas Eve.
01:18:24I know.
01:18:25He was originally planning to propose.
01:18:29Propose?
01:18:30Right there by the tree.
01:18:33He had a ring.
01:18:35We've held onto it for him all these years.
01:18:38Broke his heart to even look at it.
01:18:40That arbor was actually Rita's design for you two.
01:18:50She thought you'd be married out there one day.
01:18:54Uh, Christmas marriage, of course.
01:18:57Some things don't always work out the way you wish.
01:19:10Even on Christmas.
01:19:11Yeah.
01:19:36Here.
01:19:36Jack, you don't need to get me.
01:19:40It's Christmas, Coop.
01:19:41Everyone gets a present.
01:19:42Okay, I'm just going to say it.
01:19:54As opposed to when you keep your opinion to yourself?
01:19:58How could you just let Sam leave?
01:20:00Again?
01:20:01You're supposed to learn from history.
01:20:03So you don't make the same mistakes.
01:20:06And yes, I said mistakes.
01:20:08You could have given Sam a chance to figure things out with you before.
01:20:11But maybe you were too nervous that she'd break your heart if she left.
01:20:17That you did it first.
01:20:20Don't make the same mistake twice.
01:20:23Jenny, I'm trying not to hold on to the past.
01:20:27You're obsessed with the past.
01:20:30You love her.
01:20:32But it doesn't matter what the story is on the inside
01:20:35if you don't show it on the outside.
01:20:38Open it.
01:20:41Yeah.
01:20:45A new phone?
01:20:48Why?
01:20:49It may not be something you wanted,
01:20:51but I figured it was something you may need.
01:20:59Okay.
01:21:02Jenny, I'm going to need your help.
01:21:03I've been saying that for years.
01:21:06We're rolling?
01:21:27Hey, guys.
01:21:28Merry Christmas.
01:21:28Uh, I'm using a new phone.
01:21:32My amazing sister is filming me.
01:21:34And I have no idea what I'm doing.
01:21:38But someone once told me that this is a good way to get a message out to the world.
01:21:42And I have a Christmas message that needs to be heard.
01:21:45Not necessarily by the world, but by a special woman named Sam.
01:21:50Sam, I hope you're watching this.
01:21:52I wish I could say this to your face, but here goes.
01:21:57Um, some of you may not know that Sam and my story started right here in Bell Harbor.
01:22:02Just two kids who like to play at the same lighthouse.
01:22:06After all those years, it was at the Harbor Fest where we had a fork in the road.
01:22:11Sam, I really hope that you're watching this right now,
01:22:15because I don't want this to be the way our story ends.
01:22:19Me either.
01:22:24Did you see that?
01:22:26Yeah.
01:22:27A lot of people saw that.
01:22:28There's, um, some women getting a little crazy with their fire emojis.
01:22:33Sam, no.
01:22:34Bye.
01:22:35Let me.
01:22:37Five years ago, I wanted to ask you to marry me.
01:22:41And instead, I let you go.
01:22:45I didn't give you a choice, and I will now.
01:22:49Sam, I want us to be together.
01:22:52This is your home.
01:22:53I can't take you away from that.
01:22:55Sam, you're my home.
01:22:58You're the place I want to live.
01:23:00You are the person I want to be with.
01:23:04The feeling I want to have.
01:23:09Come here.
01:23:15You found the perfect spot for it.
01:23:29A place where it'll live forever.
01:23:33Sam, I hope that we are back here next year at Christmas.
01:23:36But I don't need to stay here.
01:23:41Because Bell Harbor isn't home without you.
01:23:46And I'm not sure exactly what this means, but hashtag, I want soup for Christmas.
01:23:51You're my home, too.
01:24:11Coop!
01:24:13I haven't.
01:24:15Coop, let's see.
01:24:16I know that you said that some things can't be fixed.
01:24:30Truth is, we were never broken.
01:24:34Our story's just beginning.
01:24:38Sam, will you marry me?
01:24:39Yes.
01:25:05Welcome to the club, Val.
01:25:07Jenny, are you filming that the entire time?
01:25:09Uh, yeah.
01:25:10I'm doing it for the fans.
01:25:12Oh, that reminds me.
01:25:13Hold on.
01:25:14Yeah!
01:25:17Are you making merch off of us?
01:25:19Yeah.
01:25:20Someone's going to make a buck off this whole thing.
01:25:24Thank you for everything.
01:25:26Thank you, savage.
01:25:28And I don't think Rita could have ever imagined a more perfect harbor fest.
01:25:34Do we have a plane to catch?
01:25:36No.
01:25:36I told Josh that if they want me to host a special, then what better place to host it than right here, in Bell Harbor.
01:25:46Sure.
01:25:46Yeah.
01:25:47We'll leave after New Year's.
01:25:49Although, I do have a few ideas on how to improve the show.
01:25:52Merry Christmas, everyone, from here in Bell Harbor.
01:26:10Remember, so many of you watched as we renovated this bin that we thought it would be fun to share with you the best parts of it today.
01:26:16Including this guy, my new co-host and fiancé.
01:26:20Oh, come on.
01:26:22Don't get camera shy on me now.
01:26:26The key to a great Christmas renovation is finding a way to save things that matter the most.
01:26:30Because some things aren't replaceable.
01:26:34And you never know.
01:26:35Sometimes you can take something from your past and make it even better.
01:26:40You're the letter I never sent
01:26:54The call I never made
01:26:57So this time of year
01:26:59I disappear
01:27:00And pretend that I'm okay
01:27:03But there's a dream that just won't leave
01:27:07And a heart that just won't heal
01:27:10So this might be the only way
01:27:14To tell you how I feel
01:27:17I spent one too many Christmas nights without you
01:27:23Too many New Year's days
01:27:28Wondering about you
01:27:31If I could make just one wish
01:27:34Before tonight passes
01:27:37Then I will
