00:00It's the perpstex that's got everyone talking.
00:03After a year of hyperliquid looking like the Binance of DeFi,
00:07CZ himself has taken the fight to them with a rival called Aster.
00:12But this is no vanity project.
00:14Aster's taking perps beyond BNB to the multichain,
00:18bringing yield to your collateral
00:20and even offering stealth trading features you won't find elsewhere.
00:24The tweets and airdrops got everyone's attention,
00:27but is Aster actually worth using?
00:30Well, this complete guide will show you exactly how to get set up
00:35and make the most of Aster so you can decide for yourself.
00:40First things first, though, none of this is financial advice.
00:43This is a practical guide to using Aster,
00:45the Perpetual Futures Decentralized Exchange.
00:48We're covering everything from basic setup to advanced features,
00:51but what you do with that information is entirely up to you.
00:55And you should also know that derivatives trading is extremely risky and difficult.
01:00I don't know who needs to hear this,
01:02but if you're trading derivatives without a system
01:05that is demonstrably profitable over many trades,
01:09you're putting the cart before the horse, so to speak.
01:12If you want to be a trader,
01:14take it seriously and actually study how to survive in the trenches
01:17before putting your own assets on the front lines.
01:21First you learn, then you earn.
01:23And lastly, this video is not sponsored by Aster, CZ or anyone else.
01:29We do, though, have an exclusive sign-up deal
01:31that can save you a lot of crypto on Aster,
01:34but you're still getting our own unfiltered views,
01:37along with some tips and tricks,
01:39including some they might not want you to know.
01:43We'll come back to all of that later, though, so stick around.
01:46And with all that out of the way, smash that like button and let's begin.
01:50Now, Aster looks like an overnight success story,
01:54but it's actually the result of a merger.
01:57In late 2024, two existing projects,
02:00Asteris and APX Finance, combined forces.
02:04Asteris brought multi-asset liquidity features,
02:07and APX brought a working decentralized perpetual futures trading protocol.
02:12When they launched as Aster in early 2025,
02:15they weren't starting from scratch.
02:18And yes, this is a project with some very big names behind it.
02:22Aster is backed by EZ Labs,
02:25which is basically a rebranded Binance Labs venture arm.
02:29CZ has an advisory role,
02:31and the team is packed with ex-Binance employees.
02:35Aster's CEO goes only by Leonard and keeps a low profile,
02:40but when you've got CZ tweeting about your project,
02:42well, who needs a charismatic founder?
02:45And they've catapulted Aster into the spotlight at a strategic moment.
02:50Hyperliquid has been eating Binance's lunch in derivatives,
02:54but starting this November,
02:56Hype faces hundreds of millions in monthly token unlocks
02:59that last for two years.
03:02This has been described by former Hype whale Arthur Hayes
03:05as a, quote,
03:06sword of Damocles hanging over Hyperliquid.
03:09He suggests that Aster was deliberately ushered into the limelight
03:13at Hyperliquid's most vulnerable moment.
03:16Now, of course, token unlocks have no material effect
03:20on the Hyperliquid exchange.
03:22But if a glut of supply hitting the market
03:24depresses the price of Hype for an extended period,
03:27then sentiment will inevitably be affected.
03:30And this makes the current moment an ideal one
03:33for Aster to launch an aggressive growth campaign.
03:37As for CZ, he acknowledges Aster competes with Binance
03:40just as much as Hyperliquid does,
03:42but he also claims it strengthens the BNB ecosystem.
03:47So, better to have competition you're invested in
03:49than competition you're not.
03:51Now, that's all very interesting,
03:54but what makes Aster different and who is it for?
03:58In a nutshell, Aster is a multi-chain perpetual futures DEX
04:01built for DeFi thrill seekers and capital efficiency maximizers.
04:06For context, Hyperliquid's pitch is that it has brought
04:10the experience of top-tier centralized exchange perps trading on-chain.
04:14It's an impressive technical feat,
04:16but they're not reinventing the wheel.
04:19Aster differentiates itself here
04:21with an offering of more exotic and high-octane features.
04:25For example, where Hyperliquid enables comparatively modest leverage
04:29of up to 40x, Aster invites you to crank it up to 1001x.
04:35Where Hyperliquid currently accepts only USDC as trading collateral,
04:39Aster lets you use yield-bearing liquid-staking derivatives.
04:43And where Hyperliquid runs entirely on its own proprietary chain,
04:48Aster enables trading from BNB chain, Arbitrum, Ethereum, or Solana without bridging.
04:55Now, these multi-chain features are actually pretty slick under the hood.
05:00Orders from multiple chains feed into a single order book
05:04run by Aster's matching engine.
05:06Place a trade on Solana and it might match with someone on BNB chain,
05:10settled through their cross-chain messaging protocol.
05:14So, your collateral stays on your chosen chain,
05:17but your trades tap a shared liquidity pool.
05:21Aster juggles the mess of tracking collateral across chains with different block times,
05:25ensuring trades settle smoothly.
05:28They're using optimistic execution with fraud proofs,
05:31and zero-knowledge proofs are apparently also in the pipeline
05:34to make things even tighter.
05:37Compared to Hyperliquid, fees are lower on Aster,
05:40but so is liquidity, which can be a pain if you're trading large positions.
05:46Aster is very snappy on Solana,
05:48but on EVM chains it can't compete with the sub-second settlement
05:52you'll get on Hyperliquid's custom L1.
05:55UX-wise, Hyperliquid resembles a sleek centralized exchange,
05:59simple and polished.
06:00Aster is feature-packed, but complex,
06:04a bit like Android to Hyperliquid's iPhone.
06:07The downside there is that more chains and features mean more complexity,
06:12and that means more chances for bugs or attacks.
06:16Aster keeps separate insurance funds per chain,
06:18which spreads out protection.
06:20So, an exploit on one shouldn't hit others,
06:23but in crypto, shouldn't can bite you.
06:26Their betting multi-chain convenience beats the risks.
06:31And so far, Aster's numbers suggest it might be working.
06:35Daily trading volume hit $104 billion at one point.
06:40They collected $29 million in fees in a single day.
06:44TVL went from $625 million to $2.2 billion in a week.
06:50The Aster token, meanwhile, did a casual 28x from launch.
06:54So, with metrics like these,
06:57the rate of adoption sounds like humans just discovered fire all over again.
07:02But here's what CZ won't tell you.
07:05Most of this is airdrop farming.
07:07Right before the last snapshot, volume spiked to $85 billion.
07:12Now, that's not some scandalous secret.
07:15It's just how every airdrop goes.
07:17But it does mean you should take the recent Aster metrics with a pinch of salt.
07:22And speaking of airdrops, Aster's is worth a look.
07:26And no, you didn't miss it.
07:28Isn't that refreshing?
07:29Aster is doing multiple rounds of its airdrop.
07:32They finish stage 1 and are wrapping stage 2 by the 5th of October.
07:36Today, in other words.
07:37But good news, because there's also a stage 3.
07:41And to take part in stage 3, you can earn airdrop points by trading on Aster's spot market,
07:47which is great news if derivatives aren't your cup of tea.
07:51You earn points from trading volume with an emphasis on cross-chain trades.
07:56And there are also bonuses for holding Aster or using USDF collateral.
08:01And if you're wondering what the hell's USDF, don't worry, I'll get to that.
08:05Now, so far, Aster's airdrop has rewarded users quite handsomely, winning the exchange fans
08:11and, the team hopes, users who will stick around.
08:15If you want in on the next airdrop, you're in the right place, too,
08:18because we've got bonus points on offer.
08:21So stick around to find out how to get yours.
08:24Now, time to hop onto the exchange.
08:27Getting started on Aster is nothing like signing up for Binance or any other centralized exchange.
08:32There's no email verification, no uploading your passport, no proof of address.
08:37On decentralized exchanges, your crypto wallet is your identity.
08:42But you knew that already.
08:44It's the whole point of DeFi.
08:46You don't need anyone's permission.
08:48First, though, you need a Web3 wallet.
08:51Metamask is the easiest choice.
08:53It's the industry standard, works with just about everything in crypto,
08:56and has decent security if you're not an idiot about it.
08:59Download it, write down your seed phrase on actual paper, and you're ready to go.
09:05Aster also has an official partnership with SafePal,
09:09which means the DEX is integrated directly into the SafePal wallet app.
09:14If you're primarily trading on mobile,
09:16this can be smoother than fumbling with Metamask's mobile browser.
09:20But honestly, Metamask works fine.
09:23Once your wallet's set up, you'll need some gas money.
09:26If you're trading on BNB chain, that's BNB.
09:29On Arbitrum, it's ETH.
09:31Just a few dollars worth to pay for transactions.
09:34Without gas, your wallet's like a car with no fuel, going nowhere in a hurry.
09:39Okay, now it's time to connect to astodex.com.
09:43But before you start typing, hold on a second, because this is important.
09:46You can get a 20% rebate for life and Aster airdrop points
09:52just by signing up with the link in the description of this video
09:56or by scanning this QR code.
09:59There's no catch, just free perks you won't get otherwise.
10:04And by the way, you won't find that 20% rebate anywhere else.
10:08It's a Coin Bureau exclusive just for you beautiful people.
10:12Once you've followed through, you'll need to connect your wallet.
10:16Click Connect Wallet and choose your wallet type.
10:19Your wallet will pop up asking permission to connect.
10:22Approve it.
10:23You might also need to sign a message.
10:25This just proves you own the wallet and costs nothing.
10:29All right, time for the next step.
10:31Scan your eyeballs and send them to CZ in a zipped folder along with your birth certificate.
10:36Just kidding, there is no next step.
10:39You're already in.
10:39No waiting around, no more hoops to jump through.
10:42Your wallet address is your account.
10:45Now, the freedom is nice.
10:47But remember, there's also no customer service to call if you mess something up.
10:52Welcome to DeFi.
10:53Now, on a DEX like Aster, security is a shared responsibility.
10:58The protocol needs to be secure, sure, but you're the one holding the keys.
11:03This is both empowering and terrifying.
11:05Aster is non-custodial.
11:07Your funds never leave your control.
11:10No frozen accounts, no FTX-style implosions.
11:14Not your keys, not your crypto actually means something here.
11:18But, like I said, this means there's no safety net.
11:21Send crypto to the wrong address?
11:23Gone forever.
11:24Lose your seed phrase?
11:25Kiss that wallet goodbye.
11:27Get caught off guard and sign a dodgy transaction?
11:30Your wallet gets drained while you watch.
11:33The responsibility is yours alone.
11:35That said, though, Aster has done the basics right on the security front.
11:40The smart contracts have been audited by CyberScope, Salus Security, PeckShield, and Halborn.
11:46Multiple audits from reputable firms is the bare minimum for any serious DeFi protocol.
11:52These audits check for vulnerabilities in the code.
11:54Re-entrancy attacks, integer overflows, access control issues.
11:58And they're also running a bug bounty program on ImmuneFi, offering up to $200,000 for critical vulnerabilities.
12:06This creates a powerful incentive.
12:09Better to pay a white hack hacker $200k than lose $200 million to a black hat.
12:14It's basically outsourcing security to the world's best hackers.
12:19But still, audits aren't magic shields.
12:22They reduce risk.
12:23They don't eliminate it.
12:24And guess what?
12:25New platforms have bugs and complex systems can fail in unexpected ways.
12:31Indeed, days after Aster's perps market opened for trading,
12:35its listing of Plasma's new XPL token turned into a car crash
12:39when someone hard-coded the price index at $1, effectively turning it into a stablecoin.
12:46When they lifted a price cap before fixing this,
12:49XPL's price on Aster wicked to nearly $4,
12:52while its real market price on every other exchange was more like $1.30.
12:57Traders on Aster who were short XPL got liquidated en masse,
13:01all because of a configuration error.
13:04It's the kind of thing that makes you want to throw your laptop out of the window,
13:07and also the kind of reputational stress test that can make or break a new product in crypto.
13:14To Aster's credit, they handled it very well.
13:17The team acknowledged the issue immediately,
13:19communicated transparently,
13:20and fully reimbursed everyone who got liquidated, including fees.
13:25The whole thing was resolved in hours.
13:27Compare that to some centralized exchanges
13:30that take months to even acknowledge a problem, if ever.
13:35Now, unlike this kind of freak occurrence, though,
13:37what Aster can't protect you from is your garden-variety fishing scammer.
13:42These pests are the biggest security threat you will encounter on a regular basis in crypto.
13:48Like mosquitoes, they are everywhere, unavoidable, and consequently easily forgotten.
13:55But if they catch you with your guard down, even a single time,
13:59just for a few seconds, they can drain your entire wallet.
14:02These scammers create identical-looking sites, applications,
14:07and social media accounts to steal your wallet connection.
14:11So, always verify you're on astodex.com.
14:15Bookmark it.
14:16Never click links from Discord or Twitter.
14:19If someone follows you, adds you, or DMs you claiming to be affiliated with Aster,
14:24they are a scammer.
14:26Aster is not going to contact you.
14:29You should also review your token approvals regularly.
14:33When you use a DEX, you're giving smart contracts permission to spend the crypto in your wallet.
14:39So, use one of the freely available Web3 apps to check what contracts have access to your funds
14:45and revoke permissions for protocols you're not actively using.
14:50It takes two minutes and could save your entire portfolio.
14:53And if you're trading with a significant amount of your assets, use a hardware wallet.
15:00Even if your computer or phone is completely compromised,
15:03hackers can't drain your hardware wallet without physical access to the device.
15:08It's the difference between keeping cash in your pocket and storing it in a safe.
15:13If you're actively trading, you'll need some funds in a hot wallet for convenience.
15:18But keep the bulk of your portfolio in cold storage.
15:22Only risk what you're actively using.
15:25The brutal truth about DEX security is that you're only ever one signature away from losing everything.
15:32To be safe, you have to stay locked in and, frankly, a little paranoid.
15:38OK, so now that you've got your wits about you,
15:41time to figure out how to safely get your crypto onto Aster.
15:44Since Aster is a decentralized exchange, there's no depositing fiat with a credit card or bank transfer here.
15:51You need to already have crypto.
15:53If you're literally starting from zero, you'll need to buy crypto on a centralized exchange first,
15:58then withdraw it to your wallet.
16:00Annoying, but, well, that's the current state of DeFi.
16:04Now, the primary collateral on Aster is Tether's USDT.
16:08Like most centralized exchanges, everything revolves around USDT pairs.
16:13You deposit USDT, you trade with USDT, your profits and losses are in USDT.
16:20Simple.
16:21We'll get to the fancier collateral options later.
16:24As you'll recall, Aster works across its four supported networks,
16:28BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Ethereum, and Solana.
16:30The DEX runs smoothly across all four, but for most users, BNB or Arbitrum will offer the smoothest experience
16:36with sub-10 cent deposits, sub-second confirmations, and seamless integration with EVM wallets like Metamask,
16:44which handle three of Aster's chains effortlessly.
16:47And if you've been living under a rock since 2023, good news.
16:51Ethereum mainnet is no longer ludicrously expensive.
16:54You can expect gas fees of $1 to $3 for deposits on Aster,
16:58making it a solid pick if you don't feel like storing assets on Arbitrum or BNB Chain.
17:03The kind of odd one out here is Solana.
17:06As you'll know, it's blazing fast and dirt cheap,
17:09but since it speaks a totally different language from Ethereum, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain,
17:13you might be surprised with quirks like network selection errors or UI sync delays
17:18that can happen when your Solana wallet meets anything cross or multi-chain.
17:24Nothing serious, but if you're new here, sticking to EVM wallets might make for a smoother ride on Aster.
17:29Although, do bear in mind that Solana is now integrated with Metamask.
17:35Okay, to deposit USDT on the Aster DEX, make sure it's on the right network first.
17:41If you're withdrawing from a centralized exchange,
17:43the network you pick there must match the one you're using on Aster.
17:47For example, sending USDT via BEP20 to your Metamask wallet lands it on BNB Chain.
17:54Via ERC20, it'll arrive on Ethereum.
17:57If you're new here, I know it's confusing, but you don't want to mess this up.
18:03For example, if you absentmindedly send USDT via BEP20 to, say, your Solana wallet address
18:09or Aster's Ethereum deposit contract, that is going to be an expensive lesson in paying attention.
18:15Now, once USDT is in your wallet, go select your wallet address from the top right,
18:21hit Deposit, choose USDT, and select the matching network.
18:26Enter your amount.
18:28Your wallet will pop up to approve the deposit, allowing Aster's smart contract to move your USDT,
18:34and you'll pay that small gas fee.
18:37Confirm the transaction, and you're set.
18:39Solana is nearly instant, BNB Chain just a few seconds, Arbitrum usually under 15 seconds,
18:45and Ethereum closer to a minute.
18:48Your USDT lands in Aster's smart contracts and shows in your trading balance.
18:53And however much crypto you ultimately want to deposit to Aster,
18:57you should start with just a small transaction.
19:01Just use a few dollars' worth of crypto to make sure you're not punting anything into the abyss.
19:06Better to learn with pocket change than lose serious money to carelessness.
19:12Right, your USDT is safely deposited.
19:15Time to actually trade.
19:17Aster splits its trading experience into two completely different interfaces.
19:221001X for the thrill seekers and Perpetual for people who actually want to trade.
19:28If you're here for the spectacle of four-digit leverage, you'll know where to find it.
19:321001X mode strips away everything that makes trading complicated.
19:38No order books, no charts cluttering your screen,
19:41no technical indicators to pretend you understand.
19:44Just pick your direction and pull the trigger.
19:46Trading is reduced to its most primitive form, up or down, moon or doom.
19:51And the interface is aggressively simple.
19:55Select your market.
19:57BTC USDT or ETH USDT are where the real madness lives with actual 1001X leverage available.
20:04Enter the amount of USDT you want to risk and most likely lose.
20:09Slide the leverage slider to your heart's content,
20:12then hit the big green long button if you think number go up,
20:15or the red short if you think number go down.
20:19And that's it.
20:20Your position opens instantly at market price.
20:24Aster handles all the complexity in the background.
20:27It includes MEV resistance,
20:29which means those predatory bots that normally front-run your trades on other DEXs can't see you coming.
20:35Your trade executes at the price shown,
20:38not some worse price after bots have had their way with it.
20:42For a DEX, that's tech that really matters.
20:45But here is where 1001X mode reveals its true nature.
20:50It's a crypto-themed slot machine.
20:53And like all casino games, the house has stacked the deck.
20:57First, the fees.
20:59You're paying 0.08% to open and another 0.08% to close.
21:05That's more than double what you'd pay in perpetual mode.
21:08On a round trip, you're down 0.16% before the market even moves.
21:15At 1001X leverage, that 0.16% becomes 160% of your margin.
21:23Then there's the ROI cap, which Aster conveniently doesn't advertise in giant letters.
21:29Your maximum profit is capped between 300% and 500%, depending on the asset.
21:36So, even if you nail that perfect 1001X trade and Bitcoin doubles while you're leveraged to the eyeballs,
21:43there is no way in hell you're getting a 1000X return.
21:47You're getting 5X your risk at best.
21:51So, the upside is capped, but the downside?
21:55That's all yours, pal.
21:56You can lose 100% just fine.
21:59And speaking of losing everything, let's talk about that 1001X leverage.
22:03At maximum leverage, a 0.1% move against you triggers liquidation.
22:09You could get liquidated between clicking long and reaching for your coffee.
22:14Now look, I get the appeal.
22:15The dream of turning $100 into $100,000 with one perfect trade is intoxicating.
22:22But 1001X mode is designed to separate you from your money as efficiently as possible,
22:28while making you feel like you're one trade away from glory.
22:32The ROI caps mean you can't win big, the leverage means you will lose fast,
22:38and the fees ensure the house always gets paid.
22:42So, if you insist on using it, treat it like what it is.
22:47Entertainment expense, not investing.
22:50Put in what you expect to lose, and if you somehow walk away with profit,
22:55consider it a miracle and never go back.
22:58Not financial advice.
22:59Now, let's talk about the actual trading platform.
23:04Perpetual mode is where Aster's real derivatives exchange lives.
23:08This is a proper trading terminal that wouldn't look out of place on Binance or Bybit.
23:13Fully featured, professional, and mercifully free of 1001X leverage.
23:18For beginners, this interface can be a bit overwhelming.
23:21But if you want to trade perps, you'd better learn it like the back of your hand.
23:25You've got your trading view charts on the left, and to the right,
23:29the order book shows real-time buy and sell orders stacking up, giving you actual market depth.
23:35On the right, there's your order entry panel with all the controls you need.
23:40At the bottom, position management where you track your open trades,
23:44unrealized P&L, that's profit and loss, and that all-important liquidation price.
23:49When placing orders, you've got options.
23:53Market orders hit instantly at the current best price,
23:56taking liquidity from the book with a 0.035% taker fee.
24:01Limit orders, on the other hand, let you set your price and wait for the market to come to you.
24:07So, say Bitcoin's at 118K, but you want to buy at 114K.
24:13Place a limit order, it sits in the book, and when the price hits 114K, you're in.
24:20And since you're adding liquidity, you only pay a 0.01% maker fee.
24:26That's a 70% discount, just for being patient.
24:30Next up, stop-loss orders.
24:32These are your lifeline.
24:34If a trade goes south, they cut it at a preset level, saving your account from a wipeout.
24:40Without one, you're speeding down the highway, possibly in the wrong direction, with no brakes.
24:46Not going to make it.
24:47And here's a pro tip.
24:49If any single trade's got you sweating, it means you risked too much.
24:54A trader's job is to survive hundreds of trades, not risk it all on one make-or-break moonshot.
25:01The latter is the Hollywood version of trading, and it will wipe you out very quickly.
25:07Now, leverage and margin.
25:08These get a bad rap, mostly because they're tied to liquidation risk, but this is a red herring.
25:15In trading, risk comes from your position size, how much you're trading, relative to your account.
25:21Stick to risking 1% per trade, and never put yourself in a position where account liquidation is even on the table.
25:29Say you've got $10,000 and risk $100 max.
25:33You open a $1,000 Bitcoin position.
25:37If the trade goes south, your stop-loss triggers, you lose $100, and you're ready for the next trade.
25:43With leverage, you could put up $100 as margin for that same $1,000 position using 10x.
25:50Same risk, less capital tied up.
25:53If the exchange has issues, only $100 is at stake, not $1,000.
25:59Now, about that collateral.
26:02This is your margin, and like most exchanges, ASTA offers two modes here.
26:07Isolated margin is way, way safer.
26:11You assign, say, $100 to that $1,000 position.
26:15Your liquidation price is likely to be much closer, but if it hits, that's only your $100 gone.
26:23The rest of your account is safe.
26:25Cross margin, though, uses your whole account as collateral, which means your liquidation price is further away, but if it hits, you are wrecked.
26:35Higher leverage does bring your liquidation price closer, but, like I said, manageable position size and stop losses should always place you far, far away from that cliff.
26:47Okay, next up, an ASTA exclusive, Hidden Orders.
26:51As the name suggests, these are orders that don't appear in the public order book.
26:56If you're trading a modest amount of crypto, you might not think twice about your moves being publicly viewable, but for whales, this is a serious consideration.
27:04On transparent DEXs, large, visible orders are like blood in the water.
27:10They attract front-running bots, cause other traders to adjust their strategies, and generally move the market away from you before your order fills.
27:18Hidden Orders let you trade size without painting a target on your back.
27:23CZ himself specifically called for this feature on DEXs, recognizing that whales need privacy to operate effectively.
27:30The execution is also MEV-resistant, though in a different way to 1001x mode.
27:36Your trades are structured to minimize extractable value for bots.
27:40Combined with Hidden Orders, you can actually trade significant size on ASTA without being foiled by your visibility.
27:48Now, about those fees I mentioned.
27:50We've already covered the basics.
27:521001x mode charges 0.08% per side.
27:55Perpetual mode runs 0.01% maker and 0.035% taker.
28:02You should probably know that ASTA is undercutting basically everyone here.
28:07Lower than Hyperliquid, DYDX, and even Binance Futures.
28:12If you're serious about trading, this is a big deal.
28:15You can also pay trading fees with ASTA tokens for another 5% discount.
28:20That's nice, but even nicer is the exclusive 20% rebate that you can only get by signing up with our link in the description or this QR code.
28:30Here it is again if you missed it.
28:33And one more thing to keep in mind is funding rates.
28:36Payments between longs and shorts every 8 hours to keep perp prices anchored to spot.
28:42This is not ASTA charging you, it's just how perpetual derivatives work.
28:48The direction and rate of payment varies all the time, but if you're holding a trade open overnight, these funding rates can cost you more than trading fees.
28:58So, do keep an eye on them.
29:00And, when it's time to cash out, getting your money off ASTA is refreshingly straightforward.
29:06None of the identity verification delays you'd face on centralized exchanges, and comfortably high withdrawal limits too.
29:14The process mirrors depositing.
29:16Head to your portfolio, hit withdraw, select USDT and your network.
29:21Once again, triple check that destination address.
29:25One wrong character and your USDT goes permanently bye-bye.
29:30Copy-paste it, verify the first and last few characters match, then verify again.
29:36Then, your wallet pops up for gas fees, you confirm, and you are done.
29:41Now, for your post-withdrawal security.
29:44If you're actively trading, keeping funds in a hot wallet is fine.
29:47But, for anything you're not touching daily, get yourself a hardware wallet.
29:51Ledger, Trezor, Engrave, Tangium.
29:54Just pick one and use it.
29:56The inconvenience of physically confirming transactions beats losing everything because you kept it in hot storage.
30:03Meanwhile, for the tax-conscious, every trade on ASTA is a taxable event in most jurisdictions.
30:10If you're day trading with size, you're creating a compliance nightmare.
30:14So, consider running your DEX activity through a dedicated wallet to keep tax records straightforward and yours and or your accountant's sanity intact.
30:25Now, beyond trading, ASTA has built an ecosystem designed to squeeze more value from your capital.
30:31Some of it's genuinely innovative.
30:33Some of it's just more ways to take on risk.
30:35The standout feature is USDF, ASTA's yield-bearing stablecoin.
30:40You mint USDF by depositing USDT one-to-one.
30:45Behind the scenes, that USDT gets deployed into delta-neutral strategies on Binance,
30:50basically arbitrage trades that theoretically can't lose money.
30:54The yield from these strategies flows back to USDF holders.
30:59The APY fluctuates but has hit double digits during volatile markets.
31:03And here's the clever bit.
31:05You can use USDF as collateral for trading.
31:08Your margin is earning yield while backing your positions.
31:12It's capital efficiency that most exchanges can't match.
31:16Now, of course, delta-neutral strategies aren't risk-free.
31:20They can and do blow up, especially during black swan events.
31:25If disaster strikes, USDF might not be worth $1 anymore.
31:30There's also a similar concept with ASBNB.
31:33Liquid staking that earns 3-5% APY while serving as collateral.
31:39Your margin works twice, in other words.
31:42Just remember, though, if BNB crashes while you're leveraged elsewhere,
31:46then you're getting liquidated from multiple angles.
31:50And another exclusive you won't find on many other DEXs is stock perps.
31:55Apple, Nvidia, Tesla with up to 50x leverage, trading 24-7, settled in USDT.
32:01You'll find pretty thin liquidity and wide spreads during US market closes,
32:07but it does work.
32:09So, there you have it.
32:11Everything you need to know about trading on Asta DEX.
32:15We've walked you through connecting your wallet, depositing funds,
32:18navigating the 1001x minefield and the professional perps terminal,
32:22understanding the fee structure,
32:24and exploring the yield features that let your collateral earn while you trade.
32:28Asta is a solid platform if you stick to perpetual mode
32:32and treat it like the professional trading venue it can be.
32:36Super low fees, good execution, useful privacy features,
32:40these are legitimate advantages.
32:42The yield features are clever, though not without risk.
32:46Just remember that self-custody means you're responsible for everything,
32:51from wallet security to tax reporting.
32:53And if you want to try Asta yourself,
32:56here's that sign-up link once again for a 20% rebate plus Asta airdrop points.
33:03And if you're still thirsty for yet more DEX war drama,
33:06then you can check out our full head-to-head comparison
33:09of Asta versus Hyperliquid right over here.
33:12But that's all from me for now, folks.
33:14As always, thank you for watching, and I'll see you next time.
33:17This is Guy over and out.
