00:00:00Staying Strong
00:00:05Bitcoin bubbles away just below its all-time high as stocks surge and crypto-weak approaches.
00:00:12Whale Alert
00:00:13BTC untouched for over a decade is suddenly on the move.
00:00:18Are OGs cashing out or is there something more sinister going on?
00:00:23The revolution will be tokenized.
00:00:25Big players in crypto and tradfi are controversially starting to offer stocks on-chain.
00:00:31We look at who's set to strike gold on this new frontier.
00:00:35And a look at last week's top-performing cryptos, dates for your diary, tweets of the week, heroes and villains, and much more besides.
00:00:43This is the Coin Bureau News, live.
00:00:48And we are live. Welcome to the Coin Bureau Weekly News.
00:00:52Hello, one and all, boys and girls, wherever you're joining us from, where you are in this wonderful world.
00:00:58Speaking of which, Guy, where are you?
00:01:01Yes, I just thought I'd do the stream from my private island this week.
00:01:07Oh, okay.
00:01:07I hope you don't mind.
00:01:09Yeah, yeah, it's just a little place.
00:01:12Just a, you know, tiny little place in the tropics somewhere.
00:01:14But, yeah, I thought I'd get away from a couple of days.
00:01:16What do you mean, you've been on-chain.
00:01:17I saw someone was moving a few billion, but...
00:01:20No, no, no, that's nothing to do with me, no.
00:01:24Yeah, yeah.
00:01:25I like your shirt, by the way.
00:01:27You've got very sort of Italian...
00:01:29You could pass for an Italian footballer.
00:01:32Could I, really?
00:01:32Well, this is into Milan, right?
00:01:34Yeah, so, yeah, probably I could, right?
00:01:36Do I give the Spanish look?
00:01:38Oh, no, that's right.
00:01:38Italian, of course.
00:01:39Yeah.
00:01:40Yeah, yeah.
00:01:41I think you could pass for it easily.
00:01:43I mean, I don't know how good you are at football.
00:01:44No, I'm better in the shirts than actually playing, to be honest.
00:01:50So, welcome, guys.
00:01:51Welcome to the Coimbrae News, of course.
00:01:53There's a lot of stuff to talk about today.
00:01:54We will, of course, get on to the massive Bitcoin whale movements on-chain.
00:01:58Billions worth.
00:02:00But, of course, we're going to go and roll back and take a look at what happened to Bitcoin last week
00:02:03and what could happen this week.
00:02:05We'll obviously analyze what those whale movements could mean for the price.
00:02:09And we'll also then take a look at this revolution out of tokenized real-world assets.
00:02:14It's stocks, stocks like Tesla, even OpenAI and SpaceX, guy, could be tokenized one day
00:02:21and traded 24-7.
00:02:23I know.
00:02:24It's happening.
00:02:25It's happening now.
00:02:26We are living in interesting times.
00:02:29Exactly, exactly.
00:02:30So, if you guys want to watch all of that, don't forget to hit the like and subscribe, of course.
00:02:34Down there, I don't have a guy to help me out with the things I'm going to have to multitask here.
00:02:39And let us know down in the comments how you feel and how's your sentiment.
00:02:42Do you think we'll break above all-time highs this week, Guy?
00:02:47This week, no.
00:02:48I think we're in summer sideways at the moment.
00:02:52So, I think we're just going to bubble along at this level probably for the next few weeks.
00:02:55But, hey, look, I'll be delighted if I'm wrong on that.
00:02:59I think we all need a new all-time high, don't we?
00:03:03Okay.
00:03:03Well, you guys let us know what you think, whether we're going to do it this week or not.
00:03:07But let's, of course, start off and kick off with the Bitcoin price then.
00:03:10Now, Monday last week, Saylor bought yet again, as per usual, just before the stream.
00:03:16He accumulated 4,980 BTC, over half a billion dollars.
00:03:21So, good form, as per usual.
00:03:25And the more interesting micro strategy news from last week was the actual first dividend payment for STRK.
00:03:34This is the preferred stock that a strategy has issued.
00:03:37And this was the first dividend payment that came for this preferred stock, which goes to show that it was actually paid.
00:03:43And this actually caused the preferred stock to deliver a 42% return on the day, which outperformed Bitcoin's 11% jump and the S&P 500's 2%.
00:03:52So, that's pretty crazy.
00:03:54Yeah.
00:03:54And, of course, preferred stocks, they don't have to pay a dividend on, do they?
00:03:58Yeah, they don't.
00:03:59And many people were wondering, well, is he actually going to pay dividends on this?
00:04:02And he did, but it came at the expense of Commons because he sold MSTR to pay for the dividend.
00:04:08But it is what it is.
00:04:09Some may call it a scheme, a Ponzi scheme, but others may not.
00:04:13But then, of course, on Wednesday, on Monday, we also came back and we closed the CME gap that I talked about last Monday.
00:04:21And it's quite interesting to see how prescient these CME gaps have been over the past three, four months since we've covered them on the Monday streams.
00:04:30They've most of the time come back and closed, either to the up or the downside.
00:04:34So, it's worth noting these.
00:04:37And I'll come back to one that opened up over the weekend in a bit as well, so you guys can take note of that.
00:04:41And on Tuesday, crypto dipped because of a bit of a war popping off, and it wasn't Iran versus Israel.
00:04:48This is what wars of the future are going to be like.
00:04:53They're not going to be between countries anymore, just between absurdly powerful people.
00:04:57Exactly.
00:04:58This popped off in the public again when this is over the BBB, the big, beautiful bill.
00:05:04And they started lobbying and lopping insults again.
00:05:07So, Bitcoin then came down a bit, as well as stocks, came down to $105,000.
00:05:14But nonetheless, it still was a historic month indeed, because it was the highest monthly close, June 2025, in Bitcoin's history.
00:05:24Wow.
00:05:24Yeah.
00:05:25So, we go ahead and split the snow grind up.
00:05:27So, come Wednesday, we closed a second CME gap.
00:05:32And this was one that opened up two weeks ago, I think, as well, at about $103,000.
00:05:37So, we closed the one on the Monday last week of the one that opened over that weekend, and then one that opened two weekends ago.
00:05:43So, it pulled it down, and then we closed that gap, and it went up again.
00:05:47So, it shows how accurate it is.
00:05:50Then, stocks…
00:05:52Do you need to trade CME gaps at all?
00:05:56Pardon?
00:05:57Are you tempted to trade these CME gaps at all?
00:05:59I am, but now, given how regularly it closes them, I'm thinking about probably there's one that's opened up this overnight.
00:06:06So, this is something we'll get onto.
00:06:08Are you feeling a bit… want to try and trade this guy, 100x?
00:06:11Well, not being a trader, I think it's probably something I should avoid.
00:06:16But I'm just kind of looking, you know, as you point out, sort of fairly regularly, these CME gaps do get closed.
00:06:22They do.
00:06:22And I think it's about 90% of the time, statistically, you should be more right than wrong.
00:06:27So, you know, that's something to be worth considering.
00:06:30Anyway, so, back to last week, Wednesday.
00:06:33Stocks also ended their best two-week period since record-keeping began in 1928.
00:06:40This is crazy, isn't it?
00:06:42Annualized daily returns of 2.43%.
00:06:44Crazy.
00:06:45Wow.
00:06:46Crazy.
00:06:46Just shows, I mean, you know, that, it looks to me, is people moving out of US bonds and US dollars, surely.
00:06:54Yeah, exactly.
00:06:55Yeah, well, moving back into the risk-on mode.
00:06:58And it's crazy to think that just a few months ago after the Liberation Day tariffs that everyone…
00:07:03But Trump did, of course, come out and say, you know, time to buy, guys.
00:07:07So, all you had to do was go and follow Trump's Twitter.
00:07:10No need for the charts.
00:07:11No need for any sort of analysis.
00:07:12No need for any sort of macro podcast.
00:07:13Just listen to Trump's Twitter, and he'll tell you what to do.
00:07:16There we are.
00:07:18There we go.
00:07:18There we are.
00:07:19Yeah.
00:07:19So, back to Wednesday last week.
00:07:21Standard Chartered, our proverbial predictor, our research report analysts came out again.
00:07:26They throw price predictions left, you know, like it's confetti all over the show.
00:07:30They came out and they said, well, we expect 135k by Q3 2025, so in this quarter.
00:07:37And they maintain their 200k price target for the end of the year or the all-time high.
00:07:46Thursday, Bitcoin broke above 110k.
00:07:49So, we go in.
00:07:50We almost got there.
00:07:51Just so, so close.
00:07:53But unfortunately, well, unfortunately, good news is bad news because we got the NFP numbers
00:07:59that came out on Thursday, and they blew through expectations.
00:08:03Very, very good, which means, therefore, that the Fed is less likely to want to cut.
00:08:09And as a result, the probabilities of a Fed cut in July fell from 23% to 4.6%.
00:08:16So, it's not happening.
00:08:19Wow.
00:08:20But there's still a chance, 4.6%.
00:08:21I mean…
00:08:22You're saying there's still a chance.
00:08:25There's still a chance.
00:08:25You've got a chance, guys.
00:08:29Meanwhile, something that was perhaps more predictable was this big, beautiful bill that
00:08:33you mentioned earlier.
00:08:34There we go.
00:08:35It passed.
00:08:36Adding to the debt.
00:08:38Nice.
00:08:39Celebrating adding to the U.S. debt.
00:08:41The train never stops.
00:08:42It's so cheesy as well, the way they chant USA.
00:08:46Well, no matter which party's in power, it's going to just be more spending, all the same.
00:08:54The more things change, the more they stay the same.
00:08:58Friday, markets were closed because of U.S. Independence Day.
00:09:01And this is my rendition of The Patriot.
00:09:08Thank you very much for live audience.
00:09:09I know I'm very funny.
00:09:13That's a feature I'm sure people are going to love.
00:09:16I think we should keep it for sure.
00:09:17It's real.
00:09:18It's actually real.
00:09:19We do have a live audience here.
00:09:20We went out to the streets in Dubai and got all the guys and be like, yo, guys, you want
00:09:23to come watch a crypto stream?
00:09:25Just have to laugh at the jokes.
00:09:27Yeah.
00:09:27It's like friends filmed in front of a live audience.
00:09:32Anyways, so on Friday, though, Bitcoin did retrace on concerns around an OG whale moving
00:09:39his coins.
00:09:39And this was at least, this OG whale has at least 80,000 BTC, $8.6 billion under his
00:09:49control.
00:09:49And these coins woke up after 14 years of dormancy.
00:09:54So it's mad.
00:09:55And he moved about 40,000 Bitcoin, about $4.3 billion.
00:09:59So that caused a bit of concern for the markets.
00:10:02And we'll come back to that a bit.
00:10:05Today, Metaplanet bought in the morning yet again.
00:10:08They bought 2,205 BTC.
00:10:11And that brought their total holdings, get this guy, to 15,555 BTC.
00:10:18Interesting.
00:10:20That's not quite so numerologically obsessed as previous ones.
00:10:26I'm going to hazard a guess and say their next target is 18,888.
00:10:32Okay.
00:10:33So whatever math takes you to that.
00:10:35What about 16?
00:10:35Why would they skip over 16,000 and 17,000?
00:10:40Or you just think that they want the 88,800 luck?
00:10:42I think they just want to go for that, want to go for all those eights as quickly as possible.
00:10:47They reckon that'll get us above the all-time high.
00:10:50Yeah.
00:10:50Okay.
00:10:51Well, let's see.
00:10:52Let's see.
00:10:53But someone who has not bought yet, which is very interesting and very, I don't know if
00:10:56it's concerning.
00:10:57We shall see, is Strategy Sailor.
00:10:59I have not seen any announcements yet.
00:11:01And he did allude to it with his Sailor tracker chart yesterday.
00:11:06Although he did mention to the effect of something, sometimes you just have to huddle or hold.
00:11:11So maybe that means there's no purchase this week.
00:11:14We'll have to see.
00:11:15Maybe if there is in the stream, you guys let us know.
00:11:17Obviously, this is happening live.
00:11:18So let us know in the comments if Sailor does buy, and we'll shout it out.
00:11:22Do you know, maybe he just has been ignoring all those emails that he's been getting to
00:11:27renew his KYC documents.
00:11:29He just keeps, oh, I'll do it.
00:11:31I'll do it next week.
00:11:32Now he's locked out of his Coinbase account.
00:11:35Yeah.
00:11:35It's now with the Coinbase support chat.
00:11:37It's like, of course you're Michael Sailor.
00:11:39Everyone's Michael Sailor.
00:11:40Can you just send us some documents?
00:11:41This has got to be fair.
00:11:43Sure.
00:11:43Sure, Michael.
00:11:46Struggles of compliance.
00:11:47Honestly, bro.
00:11:49Anywho, so what's coming this week?
00:11:51Let's quickly run through this.
00:11:52It's a very busy week.
00:11:52We've got, first of all, the 9th of July, potentially.
00:11:57That's the Day-D day for the 90-day tariff extension.
00:11:59Could go and extend it out to August.
00:12:01We'll have to see.
00:12:03FOMC minutes are coming out on Wednesday as well.
00:12:06And indeed, as I mentioned just prior to the stream, overnight, we did open another CME
00:12:12gap for Bitcoin's price.
00:12:14So this is basically between 108 to 109K.
00:12:19So maybe we'll come back and close it.
00:12:21Ideally, we'd want to come back and close it so we've got a cleaner run towards the all-time
00:12:26highs.
00:12:27Speaking of which, there's a lot of liquidity.
00:12:30You know, we put up the heat map.
00:12:31You know I love my heat map, Sky.
00:12:33It's looking so hot up there at 110K.
00:12:37And that's obviously a heat map, a liquidity heat map, which means it could act as a magnet
00:12:42towards those levels where all the orders are placed and the market makers could try
00:12:46and push Bitcoin towards that.
00:12:48Expect volatility either way because the Bollinger Band moving averages are, you know, this is
00:12:52a measure of potential volatility and potential squeezes.
00:12:55They're at their lowest yearly level in terms of the difference between them.
00:12:59So many analysts are pointing to this potentially to signal a potential breakout.
00:13:03Indeed, the inventor of Bollinger Bands himself, Mr. John Bollinger, mentioned that Bitcoin is
00:13:08looking good and we'll get to that in a bit.
00:13:11Yes, we are going to talk about that, yeah.
00:13:13Exactly.
00:13:14But if you guys, of course, want a play-by-play every day, trade-by-trade, I will encourage
00:13:19you to check out the Coin Bureau Trading Channel, which scan the QR code either in the top right
00:13:25or the QR code there on the screen there.
00:13:29And Dan's just released a video, actually, that says Bitcoin could explode in three days.
00:13:35So, hmm, I haven't watched it yet.
00:13:37It's definitely worth checking out.
00:13:38Could it coincide with the Liberation Day extension?
00:13:42We'll have to see.
00:13:43Yeah.
00:13:44Okay.
00:13:45Okay.
00:13:45Would you like a sentiment check before we move on?
00:13:49Let's go.
00:13:50Generally pretty good.
00:13:53I want to flag this one from Cold But Happy.
00:13:55At some point, people are going to realize how great this stream is and everybody will
00:14:00get up at stupid o'clock for the party.
00:14:02Are we doing this at stupid o'clock?
00:14:05I don't feel that we are.
00:14:06It depends where you are.
00:14:06If you're in the West Coast U.S., possibly, because that's probably 6 a.m. Pacific Standard
00:14:14Time.
00:14:14Pacific Time.
00:14:15Yeah.
00:14:16I think those Californians need to...
00:14:17That is really very early for them, probably just after midnight.
00:14:21I think these Californians need to make more of an effort to get up early.
00:14:24You know, mornings in California would be beautiful.
00:14:27It's probably light very early there as well.
00:14:29You know, you're on the beach.
00:14:30Come on, man.
00:14:31There's no other reason not to be up.
00:14:33Yeah.
00:14:34Generally pretty good.
00:14:37Guy hungover, mate.
00:14:39No.
00:14:40I know my voice sounded a little...
00:14:43They can spot it, bro.
00:14:45I did have quite a big weekend.
00:14:48I'll give you...
00:14:49I will admit to that.
00:14:51I went to a 40th.
00:14:52It all got a bit out of hand, but, yeah, I recorded the headlines very early this morning
00:14:57before my voice had really awoken.
00:14:59That's why I sounded a bit husky in the intro, but no, not hungover for a change.
00:15:04And JimInvest78 says, no Mondays without CB News.
00:15:09Absolutely.
00:15:12And Brett Thompson, oh, my guy's makeup is awful today.
00:15:16Looks like he's undergoing chemo.
00:15:20Good grief.
00:15:21Brett, chill out.
00:15:23That Wall of Fame posting the other day has gone to your head.
00:15:28Good grief.
00:15:29Guys, sorry, bro.
00:15:30Wow.
00:15:31You have the best fans.
00:15:32Nothing in a little bit of tan.
00:15:33You're on a beach, man.
00:15:34Just go and get some tan, bro.
00:15:36I know.
00:15:37I know.
00:15:37But, look, you know, once I've done this, I'm taking time out from this gorgeous location
00:15:43I am to stream for you guys, you know, people could be a bit more grateful.
00:15:48OK, Nick, let's let's move on and talk about some of these Bitcoin whale movements that have
00:15:55been going on, because, as you said, we it was this huge movement of of old Bitcoins
00:16:02was spotted.
00:16:03But this is kind of part of a theme as well, isn't it?
00:16:05Because it's not just old way there's there's generally been a lot of action going on from
00:16:12various types of Bitcoin whales.
00:16:14And there seems to be a bit of a transfer of of BTC going on.
00:16:20So we've got this we've got this graphic here that we that we tweeted recently.
00:16:24And this is the spent output band.
00:16:26So can you can you explain what we're looking at here?
00:16:29Yeah.
00:16:29So basically, we'll just put this into context.
00:16:31But one of the questions many people have been asking more recently is, wow, we've got
00:16:35strategy accumulating, ETFs accumulating, all these corporates bidding.
00:16:38Why is the Bitcoin price remaining relatively static?
00:16:41And that is because the on chain evidence suggests there has been a lot of older OG whales
00:16:46who have been moving their coins and selling them.
00:16:48So this is going to be evidence one here with this chart.
00:16:51This is the spent output age bands.
00:16:53And basically, if a wallet is spent in Bitcoin after a certain period being dormant, it's it's
00:16:58registered as a spent output.
00:17:00Right.
00:17:00And in this case, we've isolated the 10 year spent the the spent output for the wallets
00:17:06that are 10 years or older.
00:17:07And it's at the highest level in on record in terms of them over the past week.
00:17:12So OG whales are moving their coins.
00:17:14OG holders are moving their coins, long term holders.
00:17:17And this is actually also illustrated pretty well in this chart over here by 10x research.
00:17:22And it shows the on the the blue is the is the the white is the whales.
00:17:27These are the we can call them the new warish or the new money whales.
00:17:32These the likes of strategy, corporates, ETFs, et cetera, who've been accumulating in this
00:17:37cycle.
00:17:37And then the mega whales are the old money, the OG holders who are selling their Bitcoin
00:17:44in this cycle.
00:17:45And this show this you can see, therefore, is one is accumulating, the other is distributing.
00:17:50And that is near one from the other wealth transfer.
00:17:54And it's pretty clear as to why Bitcoin has remained relatively static in these conditions.
00:18:00That's really interesting.
00:18:01Yeah.
00:18:01So basically, although we've seen this massive buying from, as you call them, the nouveau
00:18:05riche whales, Nick, that's being offset by the by the mega whales taking profits.
00:18:11And do we do you think we can call that a new chart pattern when the when the mega whales
00:18:17is crossed from below by the new whales?
00:18:20Can we call it what can we call that like a whale?
00:18:22So kind of like a TA, we call it a whale death cross, right?
00:18:25Death cross because it means that, you know, the old whales are moving or selling to the
00:18:30new whales means they know something.
00:18:31And it's it's the only TA indicator you need the whale death.
00:18:35We we've trademarked that we reclaiming it on the stream right now.
00:18:39The death whale cross.
00:18:41You know, anyone watching can say that they were there at the birth of a new charting pattern.
00:18:46There you are.
00:18:46John Bollinger, we claim that one, bro.
00:18:49OK.
00:18:50The coin bureau owns the death whale cross.
00:18:53But anyway, it's going back to the whale, the whale in question, of course, the OG whale
00:18:58in question.
00:18:59This was the mysterious Bitcoin whale who moved eight billion dollars.
00:19:02It's the largest daily transfer of old BTC in history.
00:19:07He transferred.
00:19:09So at least he holds at least 80,000 BTC.
00:19:12And he moved.
00:19:14Just think about this.
00:19:16Four billion dollars worth.
00:19:17So first one, there was 20,000 BTC, which he accumulated for an average price of 78 cents
00:19:23back in April 2nd, 2011.
00:19:26Wow.
00:19:27And he moved this.
00:19:29And then he.
00:19:29So it's crazy because four wallets in total transferred out 40,000 BTC on the fourth.
00:19:36So this is, yeah, 40,000 BTC moved, four billion dollars worth.
00:19:40Can you imagine how crazy it must have been to actually sign that transaction?
00:19:44Like, I mean, I still sweat bullets if I'm moving like, you know, anything more than a
00:19:49few hundred dollars of BTC to be.
00:19:51So to be moving billions at a time, that must have been a long 10 minutes, right?
00:19:56He's constantly like tracking the blockchain.
00:20:03There was a lot of speculation about who this could be.
00:20:05Quite a few candidates.
00:20:06One of them was Mr. Roger Vier.
00:20:08Now, for those who don't know who he is, he's Bitcoin Jesus.
00:20:11He was one of the earliest adherents of Bitcoin.
00:20:14He was known to have bought hundreds of thousands of Bitcoin back in the early days.
00:20:20But I don't think there's any evidence behind this.
00:20:23It's Twitter speculation.
00:20:24And let's be real.
00:20:25Twitter is not very well known for their fact checking ability.
00:20:30So, I mean, yeah, I don't know.
00:20:33He is obviously now facing these issues with regards to tax evasion, etc.
00:20:39Maybe he's moving some Bitcoin to pay down the debts.
00:20:43Maybe he's trying to buy back his US citizenship.
00:20:45Who knows?
00:20:47Well, yeah, because he was out.
00:20:49Was it at the beginning of the year?
00:20:51I think when he was sort of tweeting for help with his worries from Donald Trump and sort of, I think it was Elon Musk sort of pointed out.
00:20:59It's like, dude, you renounced your citizenship.
00:21:02Like, that's what happens.
00:21:03You can't just have it both ways.
00:21:06You've got less sympathy.
00:21:06Well, I mean, at least from in Trump size or anyone there.
00:21:09But let's be honest, it's not like there's no proof it's him, right?
00:21:13It's just speculation.
00:21:14There was another interesting theory that was also posited from Connor Grogan, from a Coinbase exec.
00:21:20And he says there's a possibility it could have been a hack with compromised private keys.
00:21:25And the reason he says this is because that there was prior to this, there was a transaction on Bitcoin Cash test transaction for one of the BTC whale clusters.
00:21:35And the theory here goes, well, he's probably going to test if the private keys work on a chain that is probably not being monitored by the whale to see if it's real, if it's connected.
00:21:45And then he will try and transfer out.
00:21:48Of course, this is also just speculation.
00:21:51But regardless, this is just such a WTF move.
00:21:56I mean, there are so many questions.
00:21:58For one, this is from Pascal Guilmé from Ledger.
00:22:02And what's more crazy about this is that this is before the BIP39 standard existed.
00:22:07And that was a standard that would allow for different kind of wallet types.
00:22:10So that means that he probably signed this transaction.
00:22:14No hardware wallets involved.
00:22:15He probably signed this transaction using a software wallet like Electrum.
00:22:20Wow.
00:22:23I mean, it's just a different era, isn't it?
00:22:27A different era of Bitcoin.
00:22:28Like you're reminded how much has happened in what is a relatively short period of time in the grand scheme of things.
00:22:34But actually feels like longer when, you know, it feels like the Jurassic period when you're in Bitcoin.
00:22:39But do you know what?
00:22:41The thing I love about stories like this is that, like, there's so many, you know, there's so much that you can speculate that's happening behind the scenes here.
00:22:48You know, like we just don't know.
00:22:50And I guess that's part of the part of the reason why I think it reminds me of one of the reasons I find found Bitcoin so fascinating to start with.
00:22:59You know, the fact that people could do this not necessarily anonymously, because as we know now, Bitcoin isn't anonymous, but, you know, pseudonymously at any rate.
00:23:06And behind that pseudonymity as well, there's just so much story, isn't there?
00:23:11Like, is this someone who's just decided, like, oh, do you know what?
00:23:14I'm just going to buy that island or I'm going to buy that private jet finally.
00:23:18Or, you know, have they lost their private keys?
00:23:21Have they found an old laptop in the bottom of a filing cabinet and gone, oh, yeah, I think I might have some Bitcoin on that.
00:23:28Like, you know, this.
00:23:29Mom, don't throw that hard disk away.
00:23:32I want to just double check something.
00:23:33It could be that, like, I mean, I think it's more than likely someone lost access to the wallet.dat file, which is the early miners, which is what it was.
00:23:43And they potentially, maybe for years, trying to crack it.
00:23:47And then, or they couldn't find a hardware, a hard drive of some description.
00:23:52And then they managed to find it eventually.
00:23:54Whatever.
00:23:55It's just the mystery we'll have to see.
00:23:57I can imagine that it's going to come to the surface eventually at some point, because he's going to have to KYC somewhere.
00:24:01And stories like this, mysteries like this don't remain forever without getting, you know, broken.
00:24:07But just quickly, in terms of the impact this could potentially have on Bitcoin, I mean, on the price, it's obviously a concern if there is selling that could temporarily have an impact, especially from these OG whales, because there is a large supply.
00:24:19However, as I showed earlier, there's these new buyers that are just accumulating at a rapid clip in the TradFi space.
00:24:27And that will more than likely be able to absorb it.
00:24:30I'm actually happy that if these are moving and coming to be sold, it's happening now.
00:24:35First of all, there's no confirmation it's going to be sold.
00:24:37But I'm glad it's happening now, as opposed to when there was a time when Bitcoin didn't have enough liquidity to absorb this coin coming on, this amount of coin supply.
00:24:47So I don't think it's going to have too much of an impact, maybe a bit in the short term, but in the weeks that follow, it's probably going to be absorbed.
00:24:55Bitcoin is going through its very own great wealth transfer.
00:25:02This is a new era of Bitcoin.
00:25:04This is perhaps a historical interlude in Bitcoin's story.
00:25:08New era, indeed.
00:25:10Anyways, next up, let's bring on the Wall of Fame and Shame.
00:25:13The weekly rise and falls, here's the wall.
00:25:24Jesus.
00:25:25Just lovely.
00:25:26That's probably one of the worst.
00:25:28Let's bring it up, guys.
00:25:29Oh, bro.
00:25:31Why didn't you make me that guy, man?
00:25:36That looks very, very wrong.
00:25:39It looks so wonderful.
00:25:44It's very popular with the viewers.
00:25:46They love that.
00:25:48The fact they basically put a little blonde little cap on.
00:25:52Buzz, he's got a headband thing over him.
00:25:54Why don't you put my bangs, guy?
00:25:57My bangs are sticking out.
00:26:00Love it.
00:26:01Well done.
00:26:02Well done, production team.
00:26:03Well done.
00:26:04Well done, indeed.
00:26:04Beautiful.
00:26:05Okay.
00:26:06Okay.
00:26:06So who's on the Wall of Fame, then?
00:26:08Wall of Fame.
00:26:09Well, we just mentioned him.
00:26:10We have to put him on the Wall of Fame.
00:26:11Whoever he, she, they are.
00:26:14The Giga Chad who is behind this massive Bitcoin stash.
00:26:18He deserves to be.
00:26:19Can you imagine holding for over 14 years and just diamond handing that, assuming he had
00:26:27been, had access to it.
00:26:29Either way, that's crazy.
00:26:30Crazy.
00:26:31Yeah.
00:26:32Absolutely.
00:26:32We get your hat behavior.
00:26:34Yeah.
00:26:35Then on the Wall of Shame, let's bring them up.
00:26:39Congress.
00:26:39Yeah.
00:26:40Yeah.
00:26:40I think this is important because it's not necessarily a partisan argument.
00:26:44It's just more about the fact that it's the Uniparty adding debt to the, adding debt to
00:26:50the U.S. debt pile, right?
00:26:52And what's even crazier about the one that they passed last week is we've obviously talked
00:26:56about the debt increase they would have had from their house version that came for this
00:27:01big, beautiful bill that came two weeks ago at 2.4 billion, 2.4 trillion, sorry.
00:27:07But this one, they've managed to turn around in less than a week, adds in $3.3 trillion
00:27:13to the U.S. debt, like a decision and a bill passed 1,000 pages long, right?
00:27:20Passed literally in the span of a week.
00:27:23Just like that, you guys are going to have $3.3 trillion over the next few years added
00:27:27to your national debt.
00:27:29Yeah.
00:27:30It's not so, you know, it's kicking the can down the road by taking the most enormous
00:27:35run-up and booting it as hard as you possibly can down the road.
00:27:41It's, yeah, I mean, it's good for our banks.
00:27:44It's good for banks.
00:27:45And then inflation, there's only one way, nothing stops this train.
00:27:50And yes, if you hold Bitcoin, if you hold hard assets, that's good for you.
00:27:54If you rely on income, if you rely, if you have savings in bank accounts and fiat assets,
00:27:59get out.
00:28:01Yeah.
00:28:02Yeah.
00:28:03Okay.
00:28:04Let's move on then.
00:28:05Let's talk about, now, at the moment, we're seeing not only a great sort of wealth transfer
00:28:09in terms of Bitcoin, but we're also seeing this sort of fusion of TradFi and crypto,
00:28:17TradFi and DeFi, if you like.
00:28:19Because now, as you pointed out earlier on, Nick, it's now becoming possible to buy tokenized
00:28:27stocks on chain.
00:28:28And there are some big players getting involved with this.
00:28:31Obviously, some established big players within the crypto industry as well.
00:28:35But some more traditional finance players like Robinhood are getting involved with tokenized
00:28:41stocks.
00:28:42And you kind of feel, obviously, this is part of the whole RWA narrative that has been bubbling
00:28:48away for a while now.
00:28:49And that pretty much, I think, everyone has kind of agreed is going to be huge.
00:28:54And now, it's starting to sort of swing more and more into action.
00:28:59So, yeah.
00:29:01Should we start by having a look at what Robinhood has been doing with tokenized stocks?
00:29:06Robinhood announced last week at Cannes, at ETHCC, that there were going to be over 200 tokenized
00:29:13stocks and ETFs, which would trade 24.5 on chain.
00:29:19And they're initially on Arbitrum until they build their own Layer 2, which will be a RHO
00:29:26chain or something.
00:29:28And they'll migrate to it then.
00:29:29But it's obviously a big win for Arbitrum.
00:29:31And yeah, Robinhood is one of the biggest fintech brokers in the world.
00:29:35And this is a massive news.
00:29:38And not just that, they actually also announced they were going to give away $5 of OpenAI
00:29:43and SpaceX stock tokens in Europe.
00:29:47Right.
00:29:48Now, this is interesting, isn't it?
00:29:50Because, you know, and we're going to talk about OpenAI in particular in a bit.
00:29:54But obviously, you know, us plebs cannot currently buy OpenAI or SpaceX stock, much as I'm sure
00:30:01many, many people would like to do that.
00:30:04But, you know, actual access to that, to those stocks is very, very limited, limited, you
00:30:12know, to accredited investors or, you know, people who are already fantastically wealthy.
00:30:17So there's, and as we'll see, there's been a bit of controversy around OpenAI as one as
00:30:22well, hasn't there?
00:30:23Yeah, there has.
00:30:24So they came out and said that this isn't, they're in no way sanctioning this.
00:30:27These OpenAI tokens are not OpenAI equity.
00:30:32And this is fair.
00:30:33To be honest, Robinhood could have done, been a bit better when it came to messaging around
00:30:37this, because technically what these are, are tokenized representation of an SPV.
00:30:44So this is a special purpose vehicle that Robinhood owns that controls and holds OpenAI and SpaceX
00:30:51stock.
00:30:52And when you buy in a token, you're getting a piece of that SPV.
00:30:56Although the legal rights you have to any sort of stock is very, is dubious.
00:31:01And I think it, I think that it wasn't well enough telegraphed and communicated when it
00:31:05came out.
00:31:05And there was this, that's the reason for this misunderstanding.
00:31:09But either way, it's still quite revolutionary to have access to some description for European
00:31:14users.
00:31:16And that was just on the Robinhood side.
00:31:18But last week and over the past two weeks, we've also had this revolution of on-chain
00:31:22equities from the likes of X stocks.
00:31:25And these are tokenized stocks that are on Solana, SPL tokens, representing US equities.
00:31:32So Apple, Tesla, SPY, et cetera.
00:31:34So the S&P 500 ETF.
00:31:38And they were on the Kraken, integrated within the Kraken app, as well as on Bybit through
00:31:43Bybit's Byreal, which is a hybrid DEX incubator by Bybit.
00:31:49Yeah.
00:31:49And of course, all this is, all this is happening because of, you know, the sort of deregulation
00:31:55environment that's, that's, that's now sort of prevalent in the United States.
00:31:59The fact that the SEC is, is basically on the verge of kind of legalizing everything crypto
00:32:05related for, you know, for a time, at least this, none of this could have been, you know,
00:32:10could have happened under the previous SEC regime.
00:32:13So obviously, you know, it's clear where this push is coming from.
00:32:16And you imagine that, I mean, this is only going to get bigger and bigger because this
00:32:21is going to potentially give people the world over access to, to, to US stocks.
00:32:28And, you know, you presume other sorts of stocks in the future as well, which a lot of
00:32:32people don't have, like, it's easy to, it's easy to forget that actually for a lot of people
00:32:37in a lot of jurisdictions, investing in US assets currently isn't possible or is very,
00:32:44very difficult.
00:32:46Yeah.
00:32:47A hundred percent.
00:32:48And it's pretty interesting.
00:32:49If you think about the history of tokenized stocks guy, because if, I don't know if you
00:32:51recall mirror protocol, if you, to the rent name, ring a bell, mirror protocol, that was
00:32:56built by Do Kwan over at terror.
00:32:58I think terror issued was built on terror.
00:33:00And this was a similar idea to be tokenized equity that would try and mirror a real equity.
00:33:05It was hit by the SEC in 2021.
00:33:08We also had the likes of synthetics, which issued these ETHs, these synth tokens, which
00:33:13were also equity by equity tied.
00:33:16And then in 2022, we had Uniswap actually remove tokenized equity access from their front end
00:33:22because of concerns on the SEC.
00:33:23Yeah.
00:33:24Now you've literally got the likes of Robin hood going out there, issuing tokenized stocks
00:33:29and making it open to the public in jurisdictions like Europe.
00:33:33And you're right.
00:33:34It's really interesting because if you're a person in, I don't know, even in Africa or
00:33:36in Europe or wherever, and you, you have no access to, not even about the private stocks.
00:33:40You have no access to general US stocks.
00:33:42Yeah.
00:33:43If you're a European investor with a UK stockbroking account, trying to get by US stocks, the difficulties
00:33:48you have to go through in terms of taxes and declarations and all that.
00:33:52So the fact that you can just go and buy it on chain is crazy.
00:33:54Yeah.
00:33:55Yeah.
00:33:56And I think that's going to have a huge impact on the market.
00:33:58I mean, well, for one thing, market access is, you know, as, as, as we kind of mentioned,
00:34:04you know, it's, it's important to point out though, that as you mentioned, Nick, it's 24,
00:34:08five at the moment, this trading, because that I think was one of the, one of the hurdles,
00:34:13if you like, or one of the questions that we've kind of got to answer at the moment.
00:34:16It's like, well, yeah, okay.
00:34:18You can trade, if you're going to sort of weld crypto and TradFi together, then how are
00:34:23you going to get around the fact that TradFi only trades, you know, five days a week and
00:34:27crypto obviously trades all the time, but, you know, because that is potentially going
00:34:31to open up all sorts of, you know, all sorts of, you know, price issues and things like
00:34:38that sort of CME gap style things that we see with Bitcoin now.
00:34:42Exactly.
00:34:43That is true. And I think that potentially they could try and take it 24 seven, but there,
00:34:48then there's going to have to be some, some real liquidity created over the weekends.
00:34:51And it could be difficult because of these questions around wide spreads and gaps in
00:34:55efficient markets, but either way, you know, on-chain settlement does slash trade times and
00:35:00cost. And I think this is just this TradFi and DeFi convergence as banks and asset managers may
00:35:07increasingly spin up these tokenized asset desks as part of their core infrastructure.
00:35:13Yeah. Yeah.
00:35:14And in the same way that they've all over the past few years, even with the previous SEC
00:35:19regime, they've all spun up crypto desks.
00:35:22You know, all of these guys were at one point hostile to crypto and wanted nothing to do with
00:35:27it. And then over the last few years, they've been opening up more and more.
00:35:30And this is, I guess, the continuation of that trend.
00:35:33And it's probably only going to accelerate and get quicker as, as more innovations like
00:35:39this come along and, and, and the, the benefits become more obvious, which I guess is a good
00:35:45point to ask, like, who is going to benefit the most from this?
00:35:49Other than, of course, your everyday, your everyday consumer, who's going to have access
00:35:53to all sorts of new equities? Who do we think are going to really do well out of this?
00:35:59Well, on the blockchain side, most likely Solana for sure, because it's been issued,
00:36:03these SPL tokens on X stocks, they're going to be issued on the Solana blockchain, although
00:36:07price hasn't adjusted as of yet. Arbitrum is obviously big win for Arbitrum as a layer two,
00:36:15although again, also hasn't really had much impact on the price. But the fact that they now as a layer
00:36:21two have the, in terms of market share are dominating and this tie up with Robinhood is
00:36:26very, very good for, and big announcement for Arbitrum itself. Um, so those two blockchains
00:36:32potentially could benefit. Um, but platforms like, uh, uh, Robinhood, Kraken and Bybit are going to
00:36:38gain first mover advantage. And if you take a look at hood stocks, um, you know, over the past month
00:36:45or two, wow. Yeah. Yeah. And yeah, cause this is what, this is what people want. And some,
00:36:51some interesting comments around this as well, Sean saying, yeah, if you're in St. Vincent and
00:36:55the Grenadines, you need to, all sorts of hoops that you need to set up, um, to jump through. And,
00:37:00um, yeah, I like this comment from not your day as well. It could get more trad five people
00:37:04comfortable with crypto. Yeah. Just, you know, but find themselves actually using a product on
00:37:09crypto rails. And I guess, you know, going back to what you were saying about Solana, Nick, if you were
00:37:13to ask most, um, you know, most people in the Solana community, would there, are they happier about the
00:37:19fact that, you know, that there could be demand for Sol, uh, from tokenized stocks? Um, or would
00:37:25they rather go back to when the demand was all coming from? Whoops. Whoops. Okay. I don't think
00:37:37they were really liking the comments about the meme coins. Some Solana, Maxi, baby. Okay. We've lost
00:37:42guy, guys. He's back. He's not lost. I'm back. Sorry.
00:37:49Is the island, the island internet is not good, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You buy the
00:37:54private island, but you didn't sort the internet out properly first. What the hell? I, I had to
00:37:59exit because someone was delivering my margarita. I hope you enjoyed. Um, but anyways, just to round
00:38:07up this tokenized stocks section, we obviously have a video coming out and that's in the next few
00:38:11days. We dive deep into this. So keep your guys, keep your eyes peeled for that on the main channel
00:38:14in the next few days. But, um, if this talk about tokenized stocks or indeed Bitcoin has got you guys
00:38:20feeling, feeling a bit bullish, uh, then, uh, we want to direct you to our first brand partner.
00:38:27This is a Binance. Um, now if you create an account at Binance and you haven't already, uh, and you use
00:38:33the QR code over there or the link down in the description, uh, you'll get an exclusive 20% trading fee
00:38:38discount for life as well as a $600 bonus over on Binance.
00:38:43Yes, indeed. And whatever you buy, you should make sure that you secure it as well. Fortunately,
00:38:48you can do just that on a ledger device, a ledger flex or a ledger stacks. Um, and if you buy one
00:38:54using that, uh, QR code, you can see on screen, then you'll also get a $10 Bitcoin gift card to,
00:39:01uh, to top yourself up with as well. Yep.
00:39:03Win-win. You, you can flex your Bitcoin stacks on your stacks.
00:39:09Exactly. Exactly. Um, and then I'll speak, uh, speaking of which our, our third brand partner now
00:39:15with one of those who are able to identify the whale and we'll get to that tweet in a bit, but
00:39:18first of all, they are Arkham. So this is our third brand partner. They do also have an exchange
00:39:23that accepts users in many U S states as well as globally. And if you don't have an exchange there,
00:39:29you can get a 50% trading fees, uh, discount for the first month. If you scan that QR code,
00:39:34you'll be taken to the signup page on Arkham. Um, but as I mentioned, they were one of the,
00:39:38um, accounts, uh, their Twitter account, uh, uh, on chain analysts who were able to identify
00:39:44something really interesting about this particular billionaire Bitcoin OG whale. And that was that
00:39:48apparently he was just, uh, possibly moving these transfers to, uh, making them, um, possibly
00:39:54related to address upgrades. So it's basically just a, just a bit of housekeeping guy,
00:39:58just housekeeping for a few billion dollars of Bitcoin, just a few, just a few billion dollars
00:40:04worth of housekeeping. Nothing big. Indeed. Indeed. Let's move on to the top gainers.
00:40:11Yes. Okay. Um, so it's been, uh, it's an interesting one this week. A lot of meme coins,
00:40:18Nick. I'm sorry slash happy to say, um, the main one, I think, uh, no prizes for guessing.
00:40:25This one is bonk bonkers had a, uh, a heck of a week. Um, I was looking into this. There's,
00:40:32there's a lot more sort of going on in the bonk ecosystem. Um, then, than I was ever aware of,
00:40:38I didn't really realize there kind of was much of a bonk ecosystem, you know, this, um, but there's
00:40:43all sorts of stuff. There's a, there's been a moon pay integration, um, a finance us, uh, integration
00:40:49as well. And, um, also there, if, uh, they get 1 million on chain holders, which they're getting
00:40:54kind of close to, uh, then they're going to burn a trillion bonk.
00:40:58Yeah. That's just interesting for a meme coin on Solana. That's got a strong community. I went to a,
00:41:02um, a bonk party in London last year and that sounds cooler than it really is.
00:41:08But, uh, yeah, when I was in London, the bonk party, they had like, they had this massive
00:41:12inflatable dog in a church for a rave the night before, and then they had a bonk get together.
00:41:16So I think for a community related community centric meme coin, I think bonk's got it. Uh,
00:41:22and also another interesting thing about bonk, I don't know if you saw this guy, but the bonk
00:41:27launch pad had more for the first time ever, there's been a launch pad that got more volume
00:41:32on a day than pump.fun on Solana. So really interesting. Yeah. Yeah. 500 something million
00:41:38on, on, on bonk to bonk launch pad. Okay. Well that's bonk. Next up.
00:41:45Go on. Celestia. Celestia or Tia. Now, I mean, when, when in doubt, zoom out, you probably guys
00:41:51want to zoom out on the Celestia chart guy. I mean, do we though? Do we? Oh, TIA man. Oh yeah.
00:42:01Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's not been, it's not looking good, bruv, but I mean, Hey, at least you 60,
00:42:0615% up, you know, you know, it's the meme with like the, um, the meme with like the chart down,
00:42:10down, down, down, down, down. And then there's like this little green line. And then you've got
00:42:13the Wojak who's like, so surprised to see. Yeah. Yeah. It's yeah. I mean, this is, this is kind
00:42:21of, I don't know, like, I think there's a lot you can, there's a lot kind of wrapped up with the
00:42:26performance of, of, of Celestia recently, because like, this is, we, I remember from when we covered
00:42:32this in, in the review, gosh, it must've been well over a year ago now, like a really interesting
00:42:37project, like really cool tech, like, you know, doing, doing useful stuff. This wasn't one of
00:42:42these projects that's, you know, just, you know, not really contributing anything. Like there's
00:42:47genuinely a lot of potential there. And I think the technology has improved a lot in the time that
00:42:52we've covered it, but I think it's a good example of one of these coins, um, that had a lot of,
00:42:58you know, a lot of VC backing. And I think as we're, as we, as we might see in tweets of the week,
00:43:02like, that is one of the reasons why. And, and I guess it, it, it calls into question,
00:43:07like how, to what extent can you judge a project by the performance of its token? Um, you know,
00:43:14because price is what we all look at and stuff. And there are so many projects out there that
00:43:18promise so much and the token price is in the toilet and then some, and you're like, well,
00:43:23you know, is it, is it a crap project or is the token price, you know, the suppressed token price,
00:43:29are we, you know, are we not giving it its due? I think Celestia is one of those projects. Like
00:43:34it, there's more to it than, than, than Tia's price action, but I mean, whichever way you slice
00:43:39it, that, that chart is horrible. Yeah. I'm sure that Tia bag holders won't be able to really pay
00:43:44their rent with the hopes for the great tech that we see on Celestia at the end of the day, when you,
00:43:51when you've been holding that thing. And I think it's so egregious because if you think about how
00:43:54one particular VC in, in question, you know, in jail, sold off 242 million. And the fact that
00:44:01it was also a stake in rewards, which was supposed to be locked when they're not locked. And, uh,
00:44:05you know, so, but anyways, I mean, that's, let's not cause too many aspersions outside that Celestia.
00:44:10Um, then pudgy penguins actually, uh, yeah, that's an industry in rally. Uh, they recently listed on
00:44:17etaro, right? Yes. Yeah. And again, this is, this is an interesting method that we're seeing now as
00:44:23well, like all these, all these sort of platforms because etoro is, you know, quite a lot of people
00:44:28I know have, have used etoro. Uh, a lot of people in the UK, um, who bought crypto, especially in the
00:44:35last cycle, we're using etoro to do it. And it's, you know, we don't, it doesn't platforms like that,
00:44:40that are sort of trad fi, but integrating crypto don't get talked about a lot recently. And, but
00:44:45obviously, you know, now that Robinhood is embracing it, as we talked earlier, I think these,
00:44:49these integrations or, or these listings on sort of non, non-traditional, um, newer crypto, uh,
00:44:56exchanges, if you like, is, is, is really interesting. It's one to follow.
00:45:01Final one. Uh, there's two others, two others. Um, next up is Floki, um, another fairly OG meme coin.
00:45:11I, I couldn't really see much in the way of a catalyst here. They've just launched a new sort
00:45:17of metaverse game Valhalla. Um, so maybe that, that could be it or, or, or just speculation.
00:45:26Um, and, uh, last but not least in the top gainers from last week, we have XTC network again,
00:45:32hard to find a particular catalyst for this. They do have a lot of focus on RWA. So it's possible
00:45:37that they're sort of riding that RWA speculation wave, which as we said, is kind of, you know,
00:45:42being fed by the whole sort of tokenized stocks thing as well. That's my best guess for XTC network.
00:45:48Cool. Let's go on guys. Treats of the week.
00:45:54Okay. Nick, lead us out with this first one.
00:45:58A Bitcoin treasury company, but instead of buying Bitcoin, it buys Bitcoin treasury companies.
00:46:04Inception level thinking there. And then a Bitcoin treasury company that buys instead of Bitcoin,
00:46:08it buys Bitcoin treasury companies, which Bitcoin treasury companies are buying Bitcoin as well.
00:46:11Bitcoin, additional Bitcoin treasury companies. So you have derivatives on, uh, and multiple
00:46:16high rehypothecation of an individual Bitcoin treasury company. And it may or may not hold Bitcoin.
00:46:21It may be paper Bitcoin, who knows, but, uh, this is inception level thinking.
00:46:28Is, is this, um, uh, is this going to be crypto's version of mortgage backed securities?
00:46:33Yeah, exactly. That's it. Just tranche that up. You got the AAA and you got the CCC, you know,
00:46:38whatever. Uh, let's go and tranche up these, these Bitcoin treasury companies and sell them open,
00:46:43uh, rehypothecate them and put derivatives on top of it and credit default swaps. Let's go.
00:46:49Let's leverage the hell out of this guys.
00:46:51Oh, I can't wait. I can't wait. Okay. And that was from Connor Grogan of Coinbase again.
00:46:55Okay. Elon Musk has entered the chat. So, uh, yeah, the America, so he's throwing his toys
00:47:02out the pram over the big, beautiful bill. Um, probably, probably quite rightly. Um, and
00:47:07is now threatening to launch a new party, a third party. Um, and, uh, so he, uh, he tweeted
00:47:14this out, um, replying to, uh, replying to, uh, based Beth Jezos. Um, and someone said,
00:47:20will America party embrace Bitcoin? The end to which, uh, Musk replied, fear it is hopeless.
00:47:25So yes, that is, that is potentially very bullish.
00:47:30Bullish indeed, man. Um, yeah.
00:47:33Next week.
00:47:34Although, although like cracking, you know, in a two party system, cracking, uh, getting a
00:47:40third party launched is notoriously difficult. I remember Andrew Yang was trying to do it for
00:47:44a long time. I think it was the freedom party, you know, basically.
00:47:47Very impossible. But I think his angle, his angle is he wants to, he doesn't think that
00:47:52he could ever win presidency or that, but if you, there's some marginal seats in the
00:47:56house and the Senate, and just to be able to be like a check on power potentially and
00:48:02hold enough sway, you just got to grab a few of those. Although I will still say, I
00:48:06think it's going to be very difficult. Uh, remember Mr. Michael Bloomberg, who lobbed
00:48:11$500 million at the democratic primary, didn't even register a few percent in terms of, uh,
00:48:16so it doesn't matter how much money you've got. It's difficult. It's very difficult.
00:48:20The uni party will continue. Um, yeah. Next tweet. This is, wow. How crazy is this, man?
00:48:26This is not a recent tweet. This is a year ago on July 5th, 2024.
00:48:31Yeah. Yeah. 11th independence day in prison. Wouldn't it be amazing if it was my last?
00:48:36Well, his wish came true. It was it like it was his last and it was amazing, man.
00:48:42I tell you life is life is a weird way of work, you know? Can you imagine that?
00:48:46Do you think Nick that he celebrated, uh, the, that fact by moving some Bitcoin? Do you think
00:48:52maybe it was Ross?
00:48:53It is his wallet. Yeah. One thing I think, you know, he never thought about last year is
00:48:59in one year's time, I'm going to be at the Bitcoin conference given a $6 million banana
00:49:04by his excellency, Justin. Boy, life comes at you fast, eh? Well, bro. Yeah. Is this,
00:49:13is this reality? Is this real life? Is this reality a simulation of what is happening? But
00:49:17yeah. Brilliant. Well, it's, uh, it's great. From Ross winning to James win, uh, losing. This
00:49:26is, I mean, this is a, this is a reverse character arc. Um, so as we point, I think it was last
00:49:33week we flagged one of his tweets. He'd basically become a thread or, um, it's basically trying
00:49:39to earn the Twitter, um, at Twitter revenue. And now he says he's got nothing left. Um,
00:49:44I mean, Hey man, this, it encapsulates the entire crypto arc. Like most crypto bros, they've
00:49:50gone and lived this Jane, when a James went kind of character from the epic highs to the lows.
00:49:57Yeah. What a, what an arc. He's richer in spirit guy. He's richer in spirit.
00:50:03Do you think so?
00:50:06He's still tweeting, man. I mean, if I'd lost a hundred million to trade, I probably wouldn't be.
00:50:12If I, yeah, I would, I would be very quiet on, on all socials if that was, if that was me, but,
00:50:16uh, yeah, good, good on him for keeping going.
00:50:19Yep. Final tweet here. This, uh, now I alluded to this earlier. So that there, my friends is Mr.
00:50:25John Bollinger, the creator of the Bollinger Bands, the famous Bollinger Bands. And he says,
00:50:31Bitcoin looks to be setting up for an upside breakout. BTC USD more as the week gets going.
00:50:37Um, and then some, and ETH Max, he replies, ETH USD is the better charger. He's,
00:50:42he's literally refuting the technical analysis of the creator of the Bollinger Bands.
00:50:47But, uh, well, look, you know, it's, it, that, that is, that is crypto in cap, that is crypto
00:50:56community antics encapsulated. If you ask me like someone, you know, a genuine expert offering
00:51:02their opinion and then, uh, a crypto community member popping up to just, to just completely
00:51:07refute it without, without really providing much in the way of evidence.
00:51:11To be fair, yeah, to be fair, the ETH guys, the ETH holders have, uh, been quite active
00:51:16on the timeline, given that ETH's renewed optimism. So, you know, I think that they deserve a little
00:51:22bit of it. I've seen a few ETH Maxis, .ETHs come out and been very active. So, uh, you know,
00:51:26let them have their time in the sun.
00:51:28Hey, look, they've had a, they've had a tough year. They've had a tough year. I, I, I mean,
00:51:32look, I hope anti-prosynthesis.ETH is right. You know, I'm an ETH holder. That would be,
00:51:38that would be fine. That would be fine, fine by me. I'm just, yeah, I just, I love the,
00:51:42I love the confidence of it. It's great to see ETH holders regaining their, regaining their
00:51:47confidence. Okay. Um, any dates for the diary that we should be aware of this week?
00:51:52Yeah, well, probably the whole week, because for one, it's the big week for crypto in Washington.
00:51:58It's the crypto week, which has been aptly named by the House Financial Services Committee.
00:52:02Uh, so we've got the Clarity Act, the Anti-CBDC Surveillance Act, and the Genius Act all being
00:52:08talked about and discussed in, in Congress. Uh, so that's exciting. Um, three landmark bulls.
00:52:14Let's keep an eye on that. Yeah. Uh, okay. And then our, this is coming up. So this is, um,
00:52:19actually this is July the, let's say 14th of July. It's coming back. But anyway, this is something
00:52:24we should be, we should be looking out for. Crypto week is, is heading our way.
00:52:27Yep. Um, and, uh, on Wednesday on the macro side, we've got the FOMC minutes that I mentioned.
00:52:35Uh, we've got, uh, the end of the 90 day tariff pause, which many people are now saying could
00:52:40potentially be extended again until August. If, uh, countries have not, uh, done deals,
00:52:47they'll get sent letters with the tariff rate they'll pay apparently. Um, so expect a little
00:52:52volatility around that. Uh, and then also on Wednesday, we've got an auction of 10 year
00:52:58treasury notes. And this is interesting because, uh, these will give us an indication of how
00:53:02demand for us treasuries has played out, especially since the, uh, budget bill has been passed. Uh,
00:53:08so if it's strong or weak, we'll have to see. It's been, it's been a bit of both over the past few
00:53:13months. Um, and then we've also got initial jobless claims on Thursday, uh, expected at 235 K versus
00:53:19233, 33 K previous. And, uh, then Thursday also 30 year treasury note auction going off.
00:53:27Okay. That, that'll be interesting to see because, uh, yeah, see what the demand for,
00:53:32for those, for those U S treasuries is like, whether, whether people are still sort of fleeing
00:53:36from bonds and into other assets or whether there's still some strong demand there.
00:53:41Yeah, exactly. Okay. Right. Okay. All right. I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna update you with what,
00:53:47um, uh, some of the people have been saying in the comments.
00:53:49It's a very busy comment section today. Um, the dragonfly doji picked up on the, what I was saying
00:53:54about third parties and yes, he has, uh, you're absolutely correct on this. Nigel Farage has done
00:53:58it in the UK, polled this week. He is on course to be the next prime minister. Um, yes, it is true.
00:54:04And I think this is, I think this could be, you know, as, as Nick said, it is very difficult to, uh,
00:54:09to, you know, to break the sort of duopoly, uh, that you have in countries like the UK and the US,
00:54:14but it's not impossible. And I think it is the fact that it's kind of happening in the UK and
00:54:19it's being talked about in the US and, you know, we're seeing insurgent parties in other countries
00:54:24as well. I think it just underlines how deeply, uh, so many people want things to change, you know,
00:54:31and, and whether you're from the right or the left or the center of the political spectrum,
00:54:35I think it's one kind of the one thing that is uniting so many people is that everyone's kind
00:54:40of agreed that things need to change. Um, yeah, it is, but I mean, it's true, but then I do also
00:54:45question, what about these particular countries that have multiple parties that just don't get
00:54:50stuff done and it's always, they collapse, the coalition's collapse. Um, yeah, there's the likes
00:54:54of Germany, South Africa, Canada, uh, and also the question around this people questioning,
00:55:01okay, who is a new third party going to take votes from? Uh, and it could, it be unfortunately to the,
00:55:08uh, uh, scenario where one particular party wins over the other and that party is not the one that
00:55:14particular people want. So in the case of Elon Musk, I don't know how he feels in his politics,
00:55:17but I assume that he's not too enamored with the idea of full democratic power of all houses of
00:55:22Congress, right? Uh, so if he goes and starts a third party and it leads to democratic control
00:55:28because he ran the party, uh, candidate who didn't really get resonate with the, um, uh,
00:55:34with the Republicans or whatnot, then, then what? So, uh, yeah, it's just, it's just, it's a very
00:55:39difficult one to crack theory, at least in the U S. Um, but if Nigel proves it in the UK, that'd be
00:55:45crazy, right? I mean, it's the first, the Lib Dems, then the Lib Dems have, no, the Lib Dems
00:55:50have never won, right? Well, the liberal party sort of, yeah, changed to the liberal Democrats a long
00:55:56time ago, but I mean, for the last, you know, century or so, it's been basically labor and
00:56:01conservative, you know, and, and that duopoly has, has remained strong. And there was a coalition
00:56:07government a few years ago with, uh, conservatives and Lib Dems, but yeah, and the electoral system
00:56:12itself makes it very, very difficult, um, for third parties to get a, to get a look in, but yeah,
00:56:19like, like, uh, like the commenter pointed out, you know, it looks like at the moment, um, uh, this new
00:56:25reform party could indeed win the next election, but that is a long time away. Um, okay. Now Cisco
00:56:32kid makes a really good point. And this is something we discussed off air, uh, the possibility
00:56:37that all the movie, all the BTC is being moved by, uh, James Howells, the, uh, Welsh fella who, um,
00:56:44yeah, famously, uh, had his, uh, lost his Bitcoin in landfill. I've spoken to the guy before. I don't
00:56:51think it's Mr. James Howell, first of all, because he's, his Bitcoin stack is way smaller
00:56:55than that billions. I think it's like at current prices, probably around the 400 to 500 mil mark
00:57:01or something like that. And I think that, um, wasn't it all hope was lost because the government
00:57:06basically shut it down and always in, in every way. Yeah. They were just like, you're not digging
00:57:12it. You're not digging up our landfill full stop. So far. Yeah. Yeah. I, so far he hasn't managed
00:57:19to persuade. It's, it's a, it's an ongoing saga, but he's even offered them like, I think
00:57:23up to 50% of it. Unless some of the Welsh city councilors are secretly at night pulling
00:57:28out the diggers. We want that Bitcoin. Yes. We're not going to share. We're going to find
00:57:33it, find it before you. Um, uh, there's been a few suggestions for, um, uh, for who our production
00:57:40team who could put, uh, put our faces on, uh, for next week's, um, wall of shame, wall of
00:57:47fame. Have you guys done Shrek and donkey? Yes, we have, we have, wait, well, that was
00:57:53donkey. You, you were the donkey, Dick. You were, you were always the donkey. Confuse
00:58:04as an animal than a, like a female, like you, there was, you put, put your face in a female
00:58:08body. Rose and Jack from Titanic. That's still etched in my brain. It's, it's, it's, it's
00:58:20never going anywhere. It's, uh, Oh, they've got, Oh, they've got it on file. Oh, that's
00:58:26yeah. Well, I won't be, I won't be sleeping tonight. Um, uh, rusty box also has a suggestion.
00:58:33Um, now we appreciate the suggestion, Rusty Bot of Jules Winfield and Vincent Vega from
00:58:38Pulp Fiction. Some slight issues with that, um, which I will, uh, I'm sure everyone can
00:58:45figure out. I, I don't think we can really go that way. Um, as, as an amazing, a duo as
00:58:51they are, to be honest, um, you're going to be canceled very quickly. That could be problematic.
00:58:57Um, Darcy also wants to know, um, who, who wants to see Rachel and Monica Darcy. The answer
00:59:03to that one is precisely no one, precisely no one. Uh, most of all, um, mech 77, 7, 7,
00:59:137, 7, 7, uh, guy's voice is back to normal now. Yeah. We, you know, warmed it up. I've
00:59:17got a margarita that you got. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. When I, uh, when I had to briefly leave
00:59:23the stream, um, and, um, yeah, people asking if I can jump in the pool behind me. Um, I
00:59:29haven't got my, I haven't put my swimmers on yet, so I couldn't possibly do that. Um,
00:59:33and, uh, someone else suggested, I had to like, I had to laugh at this 100 X leverage
00:59:39on tokenized stocks also sounds sweet. It's like, as soon as an innovation comes along,
00:59:43it's like, how can I be as degen as possible? Open AI stock. I don't care. Yeah. You can give
00:59:48me private access to these tokens, but can I trade 100 X leverage on open AI? That's all
00:59:53I care about. Can I be as degen as possible? Love it only in crypto. Um, meanwhile, red
01:00:02member yard, no way I voted yes to Rachel and Monica. Oh, good grief. Well, you know,
01:00:07we're going to get, you know, that's going to come now. It's like, we have, we, it's
01:00:09not like we vote for this. It's not like we choose this stuff. So it's probably not going
01:00:13to happen. I mean, great. I'm sure you'll look great as Monica guy. Is that Monica's right?
01:00:19Oh, Hey, look, you know, that, uh, that has, that has quite something. Um, well, folks,
01:00:28if you tune in to next week's live stream, then, then who knows what horrors you'll see
01:00:32from our production. Um, uh, you know, that alone will be worth tuning in for. Um, so, uh,
01:00:39I think that's pretty much it for today, folks, but we appreciate you joining us, Nick. It's
01:00:43good to see you. Um, enjoy that pool, enjoy that, get that tan. Don't forget to get that tan,
01:00:48man. We can't have you looking like, uh, yes. As many people pointing out, I'm looking
01:00:54a little pasty as well. Don't worry. I'm going to go and work on it now. Um, but, uh, yes,
01:01:00great to see you all. And we will be back next week.
01:01:03Cheers, guys.
01:01:04Five minutes left. I should get a cup of tea. Where are you tuning in from? Good evening,
