00:00Gussie, another Derry Championship 1, fair to say that was in the end comfortable anyway after a good first half?

00:06Aye, first half set the platform now, we were slick enough in the first half, for a change in Owen Begg today

00:13the 1 was sort of going across the pitch a wee bit, so we knew it wouldn't be completely a game of two halves

00:17but we targeted a fast start, we got a very fast start, thought some of a hurling in the first half

00:21was probably as good as we played in the last number of years.

00:23And it's great to see, I mean I know a few years there are in double figures now in terms of medals

00:27but Cthulhu Menin coming in players like that, the conveyor belt keeps coming.

00:32Ticks them all, probably our older team that cycle has maybe passed, there's very few that were back

00:39we won our first to this cycle in 2013, there's very few men that played in that day still playing

00:45so the cycle needs to evolve and when you have Cthulhu Menin coming in who's just a Rolls Royce

00:50you see Rurie and Spigler-Brother getting better and better, you see Shea Cassidy getting better and better

00:55you see Cthulhu McCaig coming on, you have two Cassidy's up front

00:58it takes all of that to keep it fresh and keep that competitiveness for a starting berth.

01:04It must give you or to yourself, Brendan, boys that got new energy when you see these boys coming in every year.

01:09Well I'm still a fair bit out there in Brendan and people have to start thinking or start maybe realising that

01:15but no, it makes a wild difference because you see the talent and the ability, not only that, the grit

01:22how competitive they are and how driven they are, it definitely energises you.

01:27And Nick, stop Ulster then?

01:29Stop Ulster, we're in an Ulster Champions but it's a step up again and I suppose we're the target in our back after last year

01:37so I'm looking forward to it but the first thing we need to get back to focus on Irish football because we have a huge game next week.
