00:00Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says in an exclusive interview with Euronews that the onus is on Hamas to agree to a U.S.-backed ceasefire deal.
00:10At least five people have been killed after Russia launched a large-scale combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine overnight into Sunday.
00:20Prime Minister Netanyahu, thank you for joining us.
00:23To begin, we want to focus on the recent developments surrounding the latest deal with Hamas.
00:29Now, the deal comes close to exactly two years since the Hamas attack on the 7th of October.
00:35We might see the hostages freed on the same day they were taken two years ago.
00:41Is this what makes this a good deal for Israel?
00:45Well, we accepted the deal, as did all the world.
00:50It was President Trump's plan.
00:52Hamas says that it accepted the deal.
00:54Now the onus is on Hamas.
00:56This plan consists of two parts.
00:59The first part is releasing all the hostages.
01:01Israel makes a tactical withdrawal, stays in Gaza.
01:05And then the second part is meant to demilitarize Gaza and disarm Hamas.
01:13That will be negotiated.
01:15Prime Minister, just to follow up.
01:17So what happens if Hamas does not release the hostages?
01:20What will Israel do?
01:21How Israel will change its stance and the strategy?
01:24Of course, I can't tell you if Hamas will agree to it.
01:28I think that it's possible.
01:29I hope it will happen.
01:31But I can't guarantee that it will happen.
01:33And so if it doesn't happen, what President Trump has said is that he will back Israel completely in acting forcefully against Hamas.
01:40Well, let's hope that we can finish it the easy way and not the hard way.
01:45Prime Minister, Europe has been visibly absent from this process.
01:50Europe has been absent because Europe has basically caved in to Palestinian terrorism, to radical Islamist minorities in their midst.
02:00And they basically said, let's just give them a Palestinian state, which would be the ultimate reward for Hamas after doing the greatest massacre against the Jews since the Holocaust.
02:12Now we'll give you a state in which you can continue the war against Israel.
02:16That's why Europe has essentially become irrelevant and displayed enormous weakness.
02:22If you want to fight terror, stand up and fight terror.
02:26Stand up and be forceful against terrorism.
02:28Don't capitulate to its demands.
02:30Don't feed the crocodile, in Churchill's words, because it's going to come after you after it devours Israel or any other country.
02:42At least five people have been killed after Russia launched a large-scale combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine overnight into Sunday.
02:51Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said nine regions were targeted,
02:55including Liviu, Zaporizhia and Odessa, with crews, Kinzar missiles and Shahed drones.
03:02In Liviu, a Thai family of four, including a teenage girl, died when missiles struck residential areas and an industrial park that later caught fire.
03:12In the southern city of Zaporizhia, one woman was killed and nine others injured.
03:17Local officials said the attack destroyed homes and left around 3,000 households without power.
03:25The assault came just a day after a deadly strike on a train station that left dozens injured.
03:32Kyiv called the attack savage and said it was designed to hit rescuers and civilians fleeing the scene.
03:39Russia has stepped up airstrikes on Ukraine's rail networks and energy grids ahead of winter,
03:46a tactic seen in previous years since Moscow's full-scale invasion began.
03:55A heavy police presence lingered in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi on Sunday,
04:01one night after intense clashes between riot police and protesters.
04:05Police used water cannons to push back crowds who tried to storm the gates of the presidential palace.
04:13Tens of thousands had gathered to protest against the ruling Georgian Dream party,
04:18accusing it of steering the country away from the European Union.
04:22The party froze EU membership talks last year, calling Brussels' approach blackmail.
04:29Georgian Dream insists the country's path to EU membership remains steady.
04:33Saturday's rally, called the National Assembly,
04:37saw protesters accuse the government of political backsliding and demand new leadership.
04:44It was held as eight opposition parties boycotted municipal elections,
04:49which were ultimately dominated by Georgian Dream.
