00:30my full intention was to finish john chapter 16 today which is the first of two chapters about
00:44jesus praying for us but as i prepared for all this the world kind of came unglued i began to
00:51think on a broader scale than just john 16 how many of you think that things are getting better
00:58well nobody things are getting worse i'm glad it's obvious to all of you things are getting worse
01:03the first time in my lifetime that we've seen a christian martyr early kirk was obviously a
01:09christian fighting for the development of the kingdom and his death brought about huge revival
01:16that's going on all over the world not just in the united states which is a good thing but it's also
01:22a bad thing because there's going to be a revival before the end of days before things really get
01:29worse jesus told us that in matthew chapter 7 and chapter 13 he says the end times beware of false
01:39prophets starts off that way in chapter chapter 7 and verse 15 he says they come in as people with
01:46sheep's clothing on he said but you're going to know them by their fruits that's really the only
01:52way you'll know them i began to question myself long long ago when i first started in the ministry
01:59what's really important to god and that is people being saved and you haven't been a part of helping
02:07your children or your grandchildren learn about god and and become faithful in in their faith
02:14accepting jesus as their savior or even just witnessing folks we've been failing our mission
02:21he says in that same passage in verse 21 not everyone who calls me lord lord will enter the kingdom of
02:28heaven which means we as believers have people among us who believe but have never made jesus their savior
02:37they acknowledge that jesus is the great person that he claims to be but they've never surrendered
02:45their lives to jesus and he goes on and says uh but he that does the will of my father he that does the
02:53will of my father and at the end of matthew in chapter 28 he says our job is to go out and preach the
03:01gospel teach the gospel bring people into the kingdom and make them believers also and disciple them in the
03:10way that they should go as well as you and i should go jesus left in the second half of of john chapter 16
03:19and said i'm leaving and in a little while i'm coming back and the word used in the greek is
03:27micron that's what a little while is and that's that's a portion of a minute and of course he's
03:34thinking in terms of the infinite length of time in in all of god's kingdom and all of god's presence
03:43and of course he was gone on friday and he came back on sunday that's why we celebrate on sunday the
03:51resurrection day instead of the sabbath on saturdays but he said a little while and y'all shall see me
03:57no more and again a little while and you will see me now oddly enough he was talking to his disciples
04:04about his departure on friday and he's coming back on sunday but you understand he's in a bigger sense
04:11he's talking to you and me because he's gone he left 33 bc ad ad i guess it was just 33 they didn't
04:19have ad and bc back then but he left in 33 and he's going to come back again and it's going to be
04:27just to take the church and there's going to be a lot of people left behind because they called him
04:33lord but they didn't serve him they called him lord but they didn't follow him they called him lord but
04:39they never gave their whole hearts and lives to him now in chapter 16 of john he talks about his
04:46departure in 16 through 19 and then he talks about his return in verse 20 and he says this verily verily
04:53i say unto you that you shall weep and lament but the world shall rejoice and you shall be sorrowful
05:00but your sorrow sorrow will be turned to joy we're going to go through that just like his disciples went
05:07through it for three days the earth has been going through it for two thousand years and he hadn't come
05:13back yet but you and i both believe he's coming back soon how soon i don't know i saw a news article
05:20by a girl named laura loomer have you heard of her anybody heard of her okay she's an advisor
05:28for president trump and you've never heard of her she's called the john mccarthy of this age because she's
05:36pointing out people in the government that are against what trump is doing and he is getting rid of them
05:42ever wonder why he's getting rid of so many people it's because of her investigation into their
05:48background and their grounding their foundation and she's finding all the people that are corrupt
05:54and against him she's predicted that uh and i don't know if i agree with her prediction or not but i'm
05:59going to tell you that um the arabs are infiltrating our cities filling up certain hot hotels and places
06:09like that and becoming proficient in uh the jobs of the police the firemen the medicals the first
06:18responders and they're even being they're even acquiring all the uniforms and everything that are
06:25needed so that when the time comes they can fake being those people and kill multiple people which
06:34sounds horrible but they're going to do exactly what jesus said in the first part of chapter 16 and that
06:40is they're going to go around killing people thinking they're doing god a service in their case doing
06:45allah a service by getting rid of the people who do believe in jesus after he says in verse 20 your
06:53everlasting joy he says in verse 21 and 22 uh well and after he says he's coming back in verse 20 he talks
07:01about the joy will last forever then in verse 21 and 22 and i'm sure once we are taken off this earth
07:09our joy will last forever but do you understand the people that say they believe and don't act it
07:16they don't follow the will of god are going to be left here to suffer now i don't want you to go out
07:22and grab everybody that says they're a believer and shake them real hard and and uh make them confess on
07:28the basis of their blood or whatever that's not the idea but you understand there's a lot of people
07:34out there that are not going to be raptured who say they believe who say they believe and they're
07:40going to be just as surprised as everybody else because they're not really committed to the cause of
07:45christ remember the parable of the sower in matthew 13 the seeds are sown and in four places
07:54uh and the wicked one comes and catches the way the ones that are sown on the ground not on fertile soil
08:02uh but by the wayside and some of it was received into stony places and good fruit doesn't grow out of
08:11plants in stony places uh because there's no root and then some receive among the thorns and plants don't
08:19grow real well among the thorns either unless you're looking for berries but some of it is
08:26sown on fertile ground that's one fourth of the seed that were sown so three-fourths of the seed that
08:34were sown fell on ground that was not productive not productive i i started looking at what was i going
08:43to do to further the kingdom and started making it a point to evangelize people and lead people to
08:50christ and the bible says that some of it fell on uh will bring forth a hundredfold some sixtyfold some
08:58thirtyfold i don't know if that's his standard or not but if you brought forth thirtyfold that's a lot
09:05when you start to think about it i mean the billy grahams the john macarthur's adrian rogers
09:12charles stanley's they had no problem bringing forth hundreds even thousands and according to what
09:19charlie kirk did uh maybe millions i don't know but it's time for us to rethink the reality of we're
09:28still here we're still here for a reason and it's high time you found that reason it's not up to me
09:35to tell you the reason it's up to god to tell you that reason it's up to god to place on your heart
09:41the burden for others to bring into the kingdom and if your heart is not burdened that way then your
09:47heart's on the wrong path bible says the pathway is narrow and you want to be on that narrow path
09:54because broad is the way that leads to destruction you want to be on that narrow path where you know
10:01god is guiding you and leading you from one person to the next as you go through life jesus said in
10:08verse 28 of chapter 16 he said i came from the father and i'm going back and the disciples said now we
10:16understand and then the very next verse verse 30 jesus said you only think you do you only
10:24think you understand if you're not acting like you understand you don't understand and the very next
10:31verse jesus said you're all going to abandon me you're going to turn against me you're going to
10:36abandon me on the cross and indeed they did it's time for you to decide whether you're going to stand
10:41next to the cross and do what god said or not you don't have any more time to make up your mind
10:48you don't have any more opportunities to go for the kingdom in all that you do you know the one thing
10:57that set charlie cook uh kirk aside from apart from the rest of us was everything about his life was
11:04defending the gospel defending what the truth is and and doing it in front of everybody he says
11:12in verse 31 chapter 16 and john jesus doubts that they really know anything he's been with them for
11:22three years and they still don't understand and they don't know they don't understand and the hardest
11:30person to convince that they don't know is someone who does not know they don't know you see we all
11:36need to find guilt in our lives that we don't know and that's hard to do that's hard for us to do i
11:46don't know i don't know that i don't know lord enlighten me because i don't know that i don't know
11:52will the hour come that you abandon him also you got to set these decisions up and make a priority of it
11:58in your life because jesus said to them you really don't know and you don't even understand yet
12:05jesus said i came that you could have peace in this world because tribulation is coming
12:11and it hadn't gotten to the point where the tribulation is really bad yet but the revivals
12:17that started with charlie kirk's death all over the world have real people have realized that they
12:23have been following the wrong taskmasters for too long i've got a friend that's from great britain
12:31that lives in florida over the internet and uh she's mourning over the the events taking place
12:38over there because the arabs are taking over and i for one believe that the antichrist is going to be
12:45an arab that the hundred million man marching army is going to be a marching army of arabs against the
12:53nation of israel they already surround israel and there are several billion islamic believers already
13:00i don't think china's going to have anything to do with it even though there's more chinese we've got
13:06a job and we can't fail we've got a job to do and it's incumbent upon our lives to stand up and start
13:15doing it if we don't nobody will if we don't stand up and do what god said do who's he gonna send if the
13:25church doesn't defend its lord and master what kind of church is it i can't tell you how to do it
13:32i'm working on my second 30 and i i have no idea how to do it unless god just leads you by the moment
13:41and you respond every time he leads and god wants to use you i know that i know within my heart that
13:49he wants to use every one of you in a miraculous way so i'm going to pray for us that that we open
13:55our eyes and our hearts and our minds to god using us in miraculous ways not just good ways not just
14:03great ways miraculous ways that change us from the inside out so let's pray heavenly father thank you
14:12that we left us behind for a reason and the reality of that is to be a witness to the lost world
14:21in which we inhabit the world that's only getting worse it's appointed unto man once to die and after
14:28that the judgment and let our departure from this earth be the rapture of the church as we bring many
14:35into your kingdom before we go for we ask it all in jesus name amen
