00:00Yeah, fair play.
00:01Absolutely.
00:03Let's just have a little look again on board with Lando Norris.
00:07Oh, that was a bit close, wasn't it?
00:09I'll tell you what, he knows he can trust Max.
00:11There's very few drivers you could trust with that kind of half move, really.
00:17Max so aware of what's going on around him, would have been looking in his mirrors,
00:21left the space, kept a straight line, no chance of any collision or any contact there.
00:27Piastri now 3.2 seconds behind Norris and you can, you'll see him and he's got to get through Sonoda.
00:35There's Piastri in the background.
00:37Wow, he's coming at them like a rocket.
00:41Lap 54 of 62, stand by your bets, folks.
00:47Portiletto ahead is on 40 lap old parts.
00:50Yeah, my mediums feel like 100 lap old.
00:54Compared to the softs that were what?
00:5732 laps old, yeah.
01:00Oh, dear.
01:01Great reply.
01:03Because in all honesty, I'm not quite sure why that message was necessary in the first place,
01:07but there you go.
01:08Right, back to Verstappen and Norris and Piastri who, on this lap...
01:14So Antonelli's passed Leclerc.
01:16He has.
01:17We haven't seen it yet, but he has managed to get past Charles Leclerc.
01:20He had that DRS, didn't he?
01:22And Lewis Hamilton is now under four seconds behind his teammate Leclerc.
01:26I wonder if Ferrari would be asking Charles Leclerc to let his teammate through to try and get Antonelli.
01:31And I wonder after Baku what Charles Leclerc's answer would be.
01:34Yeah, so I think Lewis tried to give him that eighth place on the grid, but I don't think either of them were too fussed about it in the end, were they eighth and ninth?
01:44And Lance Stroll's got Bortoletto as he moves up in the 14th place on those ancient, ancient tyres.
01:51And the gap is just...
01:53Max Verstappen has just pulled out a bit more of a gap on Lando Norris by about, you know, a couple of tenths on the last two laps.
02:02So Leclerc then, with that last lap being overtaken, he lost four seconds to Hamilton, who's catching him.
02:09And there you go.
02:10They reckon it'll be within a lap.
02:12Hamilton will be a lap.
02:14I don't think so.
02:17Only if Leclerc has another horror story, but yeah, actually, end of this next lap, Hamilton will be...
02:26Ferrari will surely ask him to move over immediately, see if Hamilton can get a run at Antonelli.
02:32If you were Max Verstappen, would you want Lando Norris about eight tenths of a second behind you?
02:37Keep him in DRS, which means that it makes it more difficult for his teammate to overtake him, and therefore it kind of protects you a bit because you've held Lando off for so long anyway?
02:49He might do, because he might think that helps him catch Piastri a little bit more.
02:56We saw Carlos Sainz pull that trick, didn't we, by keeping Norris in his...
03:00His confirm situation is clear on the Max on Norris.
03:03Yeah, thank you.
03:05Yeah.
03:06Ooh.
03:07And what is that situation?
03:09You'll get a blue flag, you've got to let them pass.
03:11Yeah.
03:12You've got basically the sister team.
03:14So basically, don't hold Max up, and do hold Lando up, I'm going to assume that means, if you get half a chance.
03:23Yeah.
03:24Wow.
03:24Don't forget, Isaac Hadjar might well be Max Verstappen's teammate for next season as well.
03:29Yeah.
03:30Yeah.
03:30Which will go down very nicely in their first briefing together, if that particular rumour comes true.
03:39Verstappen closing up then on Hadjar.
03:41Hamilton absolutely closing up on the back of his Ferrari teammate, Charles Leclerc.
03:47And you can see now that he's got DRS on Charles Leclerc.
03:51That switch.
03:51Charles Leclerc lets him through.
03:52And he does let him through.
03:54That was instruction, and instruction complied with, because Hamilton can still get after Antonelli.
04:00Yeah, no-brainer for Ferrari to do that.
04:03So what kind of cunning plan do racing bulls have for the Red Bull here, and more importantly, the McLaren?
04:11Well, maybe Anthony Davidson knows, or maybe he's got something else for us.
04:15I was just on this Hadjar news, as both these drivers come up to him now, Crofty.
04:19All simply who's getting told was they are closing in, so be aware that Norris is only one second behind Max.
04:25So I'm sure that he'll let both of them by, like we saw Yuki do.
04:29I couldn't hear any instructions to intentionally hold up Norris, just for the record.
04:33And here we go.
04:35And he does that as most of you.
04:36Fair play.
04:37Isn't that great?
04:38Look at that.
04:38Salesforce driver of the day.
04:40George Russell, 16%.
04:42Fernando Alonso, 15%.
04:43Max Verstappen, 13%.
04:46And I'm not surprised, because all three have had a terrific race.
04:49Yeah, it's been some great driving out there tonight.
04:51I think Fernando had himself about 100%, didn't he, after that big overtake.
04:57But, yeah.
04:58And he's back up into the points, despite a nine-second pit stop, is Fernando Alonso.
05:04Sort of race he really enjoys.
05:06Six laps to go.
05:08And Lando, maybe, was just recharging his battery a little bit.
05:13And that's why he dropped off behind Verstappen, to then get that battery charged up,
05:17to go for a full-scale assault in the last six laps.
05:21But he's certainly got back in the DRS range, and he's got a lot closer on these last three miles, I think.
05:28Max Verstappen certainly helped, made George Russell's evening more comfortable, hasn't he?
05:34Yeah.
05:34Because he's sort of basically had the McLaren of Lando Norris tucked up behind his gearbox pretty much all evening.
05:42Yeah, it's been quite the battle for Lando Norris, but starting fifth and having a battle for second place,
05:50even if he doesn't get that second place, you might just think,
05:53do you know what, I've done everything I can tonight from where I qualified.
05:56Yeah.
05:56Ooh, that was close to the 19.10 that bridge was built.
06:05And I don't think it's going to be knocked down any time soon by a Formula One car.
06:08I think I know who would win if you hit that.
06:11But, yeah, just looking here, 2.1 seconds the gap now, Antonelli to Hamilton, half a second Hamilton fastest on that previous lap.
06:20Trying to keep you abreast of all the other battles that are going on, Albon on stroll, a little bit further down the field.
06:28And, of course, this one, Verstappen, lap after lap after lap, through the back markers, driving into the clean air, has got a wing mirror full of papaya.
06:39There's Norris makes his way down the straight again, picks up a tenth of a second, but only a tenth of a second, and he just needs to find a touch of magic from somewhere.
06:51If he can break the spell that Verstappen's got on this second place.
06:55Yeah, unless he can make Max drive offline and have to start defending into braking zones again.
07:02Piastri's advance has just slowed a little now on the previous lap, and he can't quite get anywhere near.
07:09He had that one run, didn't he, down the outside of a braking zone, and that was about it.
07:15I think, I pose that question, is it an advantageous for Verstappen to keep Norris in DRS?
07:21And I think the answer is yes, and it is stopping Piastri's advance as well, because he's dragging that McLaren towards him, but, you know, like a good boxer, just jabbing away and keeping him still at arm's length.
07:36Ted, let's head down to you.
07:38Oh, that was a, hello? Yeah, there we go.
07:40Yeah, so if we know that Max has got all these problems with downshifts and handbrake on the rear, then Oscar will know as well.
07:46He'll be passing that on to see if he can make a move at the end of the race.
07:50An update on Russell's car, I've asked Mercedes, how's it going?
07:54They say he is managing his pace and just taking care of the tyres.
07:58So the same lap times as Verstappen and Norris is the leader, George Russell, but I think he's got an extra bit in hand if he needed it.
08:06But he doesn't at the moment.
08:07With six Grand Prix remaining, McLaren on course for back-to-back Constructors' Championships.
08:17It'll be the first time since that run of four championships, 1998 to 1991.
08:23Whatever the debrief will consist of when it comes to the drivers racing against each other, Andrea Stella will start with a congratulations to everyone for another job well done for a Constructors' Championship that has looked about as likely to be won with this many races remaining since what?
08:43The Bahrain Test?
08:44Yeah.
08:46It's been a dominant year, but they've been caught up, haven't they?
08:50I think when we get it, it'll be interesting in Austin, but particularly in Qatar, Brazil, Abu Dhabi.
08:56Will the advantage of the McLaren come to the fore again?
08:59It should be stronger there than it is even here.
09:02Or even indeed Austin, but they, you know, basically the pack have caught McLaren, they've stopped developing and we haven't been at tracks that really work to their advantage, which are long high-speed corners and when you've got really high tyre wear.
09:19Because the drivers are going to say, look, you might have won the Constructors' Championship.
09:22We understand because we have to switch off development earlier because we've got less wind tunnel time, less CFD time as well.
09:29We understand why you do it, but you've got to give us a car to go and win races because we want to win a Drivers' Championship.
09:34And we've seen here Red Bull and Mercedes with pace, extra pace over the McLarens, stopping that McLaren win, which, you know, maybe six, seven races ago might have looked a bit more of a formality.
09:46Hamilton within half a second of Antonelli, Martin.
09:49Yep, that's what I was just going to say. He is. And in his slipstream with those soft tyres. So we'll see what Lewis Hamilton can do. And he's still behind him as they head into turn 16.
10:03And Piastri now two and a half seconds, give or take, behind Lando Norris. So that gap's still coming down. Is he going to run out of time, though? Is Lando Norris a little bit closer to Max Verstappen? Probably not.
10:16Lewis Hamilton's been off the track in turn 16 and lost a lot of time to Kimi Antonelli. Down two and a half seconds behind. So a lot of that advance is just ebbed away.
10:26That might just have cost Lewis a chance for a top five finish here in Singapore. He might be settling for a sixth place, which is, of course, where he finished last year.
10:36Might well have been a bit of a side-by-side overtake, mind it. We'll get a replay, no doubt. No, it wasn't. Apparently, it's just Lewis. I've lost my brakes. Just Lewis getting deep into 16. And that is why.
10:49Well, that happens at the end of this race. We've seen it before. Mark Webber, I think, famously.
10:55Jenson Buck was saying, you know, you do lose your brakes a bit here. Let's have a little look here. This is on board with Kimi Antonelli.
11:06On lap 54.
11:08So Hamilton had overtaken him, hadn't he? And then he had re-overtaken him.
11:12Wowzers.
11:16But you do. You've got ten braking zones, four heavy, and it's hot. It's oppressive. You're running with no cool air coming through.
11:27It's very easy to lose your rear brakes or your front brakes here.
11:32Things like that happen. You've got to take it steady, I think, now, if you're Lewis Hamilton, to get home to the end of this race.
11:38There's been no break whatsoever for Verstappen and his defence here against Lando Norris.
11:44And he's still keeping him within DRS range. And Piastri is still coming back at these two.
11:50There he is in the distance. But surely, even for him, just a bit too far away at this stage of the race.
11:56Yeah. He'll start getting in the turbulent air, which will give him a few more challenges.
12:02Oscar Piastri. But so eight and a half seconds covers the top four after all the dramas and issues and the rain before the start of the race.
12:11They will be exhausted when they get out of there. But you have to say, Max Verstappen has room. Whatever his issues, he's handled them beautifully.
12:22That replay we saw, that was Kimi Antonelli getting past Charles Leclerc.
12:26That was lap 54. I'm just trying to work out what was going on there. But that is the latest of late replays.
12:32To be honest, it wasn't Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton's right back now. He's fallen back behind Leclerc again.
12:38Yeah, they've done the swap because Hamilton's brakes have gone. He can get to the end because Alonso's 43 seconds behind him.
12:43But Hamilton is really, really struggling. And that's where they swapped it around at Ferrari for Lewis to get past Charles Leclerc.
12:52And then we saw that puff of brake dust, didn't we? Yeah.
12:55And this is where I think his brakes have completely gone. Yeah, you can see, look, the sparks coming on that front left brake as he tried to apply it.
13:06Wow. He's run out of front brake disc.
13:09He certainly has. And then Charles Leclerc getting past Lewis is just cruising around here in an attempt to get home to the finish.
13:16And maybe Charles Leclerc's brakes have gone a little bit as well. But let's go back to the battle on the final lap.
13:22George Russell is making his way to turn seven. Through it now, behind him comes Max Verstappen. Behind him comes Lando Norris. Behind him comes Oscar Piastri.
13:30This is the top four. And this has been great entertainment from this top four.
13:34But it looks like Lando Norris might just have to settle for third place behind Verstappen.
13:40And Verstappen might have to settle for second place after winning back-to-back races in September.
13:47And George Russell looks like he's going to have to settle for a win that he fully deserves and will be celebrating long into the Singapore night.
13:54Yeah, this track owes George, doesn't it, a result. But he's gone and taken it for himself this evening. Tremendous driving.
14:02Pole led. He hadn't led every lap, did he? Because the McLarens took over a while after he'd pitted.
14:08But, and Hamilton's got fastest lap of the race. But George Russell commanded qualifying, didn't he?
14:15Two brilliant laps, either which would have been on pole. Perfect start. And has controlled the race nicely.
14:20He certainly has. Before tonight, we had five different winners in five years at the Singapore Grand Prix.
14:26Made that now. Six different winners in the last six runnings of the Singapore Grand Prix.
14:31For the first time ever here, he'll stand on the podium on the top step.
14:35George Russell wins the Singapore Grand Prix. And what a victory that was for him.
14:40Max Verstappen settles for second place. Holds off Lando Norris, who barged through and passed his teammate Oscar Piastri on the first lap.
14:49McLaren finished third and fourth. And McLaren are Constructors' Champions in 2025 for the second year running.
14:59Behind McLaren comes Kimi Antonelli on the road. Then Charles Leclerc, then Lewis Hamilton.
15:06But the fight is going on for the Ferrari cars just to try and limp over.
15:10Fernando Alonso might yet get past Lewis Hamilton as they make their word to turn 13.
15:16And they're maybe both suffering brake issues. Leclerc, sixth.
15:22Lewis Hamilton. Yes, mate. Well done.
15:24Woo! Well weakened. Well done.
15:27Oh, yeah. Come on. Come on.
15:32George, that was mega today. Driver-car combination. Perfect.
15:37Thanks, so-so. Made up for two years ago.
15:42Well done, George. You were owed that for tonight. You really were.
15:46Charles Leclerc has managed to finish this race. Hamilton is trying to hold off Fernando Alonso.
15:51We're watching McLaren celebrate it. We should be watching the track here because Fernando Alonso,
15:56he was 43 seconds behind Hamilton, crosses the line four-tenths of a second behind Hamilton.
16:02That was a desperate fight to the finish.
16:05What up, mate? First piece, three. We chip away at it.
16:08And we are the World Constructors' Championship. We won, mate. We did. We won. Two years running.
16:13What up, mate?
16:15I'm pretty tired, man. I didn't drink. I couldn't. I lost you bad.
16:20If you cares, we all won another World Championship for McLaren.
16:26Congratulations, everyone. You all worked so hard.
16:31I'm so proud to be part of it all. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.
16:37Well done, everyone. Very well deserved. Incredible.
16:39Yeah, congratulations indeed. At the circuit, back at the factory, having so many people involved in.
16:47The drivers are the final link in the chain, but they are only a link in the chain.
16:52If the chain breaks anywhere else, it's no good to you at all.
16:55It is the first Mercedes win in Singapore since 2018.
17:00It is for Lando Norris, a podium that secures the team that he has been with for so, so many years.
17:07They're back-to-back Constructors' Championships.
17:11Well done to them.
17:13So behind Hamilton and Alonso, Oli Behrman came home to score two points.
17:17And Carlos Sainz, who started 18th and last in this race,
17:20and ran the longest of anyone else on the first stint, 50 laps on the medium tyre,
17:25comes home to claim the final point for Williams.
17:30Terrific effort from them.
17:32Terrific effort from George Russell here tonight.
17:35I'm sure there's going to be a lot of chat about the Norris and Piastri incident on lap one.
17:44In the end, the team can celebrate tonight.
17:46And Lando Norris closes in by another three points on Oscar Piastri's Championship lead.
17:53While we're talking about all that, just up on our screen now,
17:55Lewis Hamilton has been noted for exceeding track limits.
17:59And it might just be that after being shown a black and white flag,
18:04and he was because his brakes were basically going,
18:07he's gone over the line a bit too often.
18:09And he'll get a five-second penalty here, which could cost him seventh place.
18:13Yeah, I think he will do, because he's the last four, five mentions on the...
18:18that can make that six for track limits, because he ran out of brakes.
18:22So, yes, I think he could well be right there, sadly, for Lewis Hamilton.
18:26There could be a five-second penalty coming his way.
18:29His last lap was one minute 47.7, and Fernando Poulonza was one 36.2.
18:34That's how much he was struggling by.
18:35But we'll await the news from the stewards on that one.
18:42And that is George Russell and his car.
18:45And this will be a win that means a huge amount to him.
18:51Left no stone unturned in his preparation.
18:55Wasn't particularly well in Baku.
18:58And springs from the cockpit, feeling full of the joys of it here in Singapore tonight.
19:06Car 63 on top for what is George Russell's fifth win in Formula One,
19:13his second win in 2025.
19:16Last time I saw George this morning in the left,
19:19he was going to the pool to have a bit of chill out time.
19:22Obviously did the trick nicely, didn't it?
19:24And I would imagine he's probably as damp now as he was when he emerged from that pool,
19:31given the amount of sweat that the drivers have to consent with,
19:36what, losing four kilograms of weight during the course of the race?
19:42Yep, George's signature stance as well.
19:47Delivered.
19:48Max Verstappen congratulating him.
19:50And, yeah, it's a big night for McLaren, but it's a big night for George Russell too, isn't it?
19:55Yeah, it is.
19:57Confirmation, Lewis Hamilton will be investigated by the stewards after the race
20:01for exceeding track limits.
20:05His brakes had gone, and basically he was struggling to stay very much on the track.
20:10Max Verstappen, what a great defensive job that was,
20:13and we'll hear, I'm sure, about the struggles he had during the course of the race.
20:17From quite early on, he was complaining about the downshifts.
20:21Well, that's a tidy second place for him,
20:24and once again he closes in on the championship leader.
20:27And Lando Norris too, the two McLaren drivers.
20:32Piastri, 336 points now.
20:34Norris, 314.
20:36Max Verstappen, 273.
20:39The top three in the Drivers' Championship.
20:42It's 18 points between Piastri and Norris,
20:47and then Max Verstappen, 27.
20:50They're now 41 points further back.
20:52What tends to happen now is you start welling up,
20:56the heat wells up in you.
20:57And driver of the day there, Fernando Alonso, Salesforce driver of the day.
21:03And he scored a few, I think it just reminds you how many great drivers there are out there,
21:07but what happens is that the heat wells up, the adrenaline dies down,
21:13and suddenly it hits you like a brick.
21:16And you feel like you've been sat in a furnace for the last two hours.
21:22I think we're going to hear from Andrea Stella in a moment,
21:25as well as the top three.
21:28Smiles all around down in Park Fermé.
21:32And every time one of those fireworks goes up,
21:35I can feel it in my feet on the floor of the geometry box.
21:38Jenson Button, coolest man in Singapore tonight.
21:41Barely a bead of sweat on him as the microphone.
21:44Congratulations, Zach, Andrea, and the whole of the McLaren team.
21:48You've just won the 2025 Constructors' Championship.
21:52Pretty awesome.
21:54Unbelievable team here, unbelievable team back at the factory.
21:57All the men and women have done such an awesome job.
22:00The leadership that Andrea has provided to this race team,
22:03the whole leadership team, our owners, our shareholders.
22:07It's such a team effort and pretty awesome to go back-to-back.
22:10It's been a while since we've done it.
22:12Yeah, and Andrea, you know, I guess it was kind of inevitable
22:16how the way this season has gone, that this was going to happen.
22:19But what are the emotions right now?
22:22You've just done back-to-back championships the first time since 1991.
22:26Yeah, it's an incredible emotion.
22:28I want to share it with the team.
22:30Thank them for the incredible work.
22:32I mean, even with six races to go, which looks unbelievable,
22:37but that's thanks to the great work that has happened at McLaren.
22:40Thank you to our fans, to our sponsor, all the technical partners.
22:44It's teamwork, and it's great that the teamwork is rewarded like this.
22:49Yeah, so we see with championships, you know,
22:52when you win one, when you win two, there are many more.
22:55Do we think this can continue through the next, you know, regulation change in 2026?
23:01It's a big ask, obviously.
23:02We are definitely working very hard to continue this streak of wins
23:06into the future with these big changes of technical regulations.
23:11We know it's difficult, but it's an undertaking that we are, you know, all in for it.
23:17Zach, obviously, big celebrations tonight, I'm sure.
23:20How do you work with the drivers for the rest of the season?
23:23Because you've won one championship.
23:25This is a big one.
23:26But obviously, constructors is big, but drivers is really special.
23:31And you've got two very feisty young individuals here that both want to take that title.
23:35They've driven brilliantly all season.
23:38You can't win the constructors without two awesome racing drivers.
23:42As you can see, we're letting them race.
23:44That was a bit more of a nail-biter there, but they race hard.
23:48They race clean.
23:50They race to win.
23:51So a lot of racing to go and hopefully some more victories for both of them.
23:55Congratulations, guys.
23:56I'll let you celebrate with the team.
23:58Thanks, everyone.
24:01Quite a double act, aren't they?
24:03Lando Norris hasn't been 100% this week.
24:07He's smiling, but he looks like he's feeling the effects of that race to me down there.
24:13And there we are, McLaren Constructors' Champions, led by Zac Brown on the engineering side, led
24:20by their team principal, Andrea Stella.
24:23And in the championship for the drivers, led by Oscar Piastri and then Lando Norris.
24:29And for a former McLaren driver, Martin Brundle, this must be a very satisfying moment.
24:34Yeah, I'm just happy for the whole team.
24:37You know, they were in the doldrums for so many years.
24:40Two and a half years ago, they were last in the championship.
24:43The yin and yang between Zac and Andrea is just perfect.
24:47They're completely different characters, completely different skill sets, and they work together
24:52well.
24:52And they really motivated a great team.
24:55Hold on, one more.
24:57We've got to get everywhere.
24:57Yeah, you see.
24:59Zac's always there for a selfie and probably a fist bump as well.
25:03I'd watch out tonight.
25:04Zac could be fist bumping all the way to the airport.
25:06They've got a frosty driver's debrief to go through yet.
25:10I don't think it'll be quite as smiley, do you?
25:13Not when it comes to the first couple of corners, no.
25:17I'd be fascinated to hear what both Lando and Oscar have to say about that when we hear
25:22it from the drivers, which we'll do in a few moments' time.
25:27650 points, McLaren in the Constructors' Championship.
25:31The nearest team, Red Bull Mercedes, on 325.
25:34They can't be caught now.
25:35Jenson has our top three with him in Park Fermi.
25:38George, you've just won the Singapore Grand Prix.
25:42How's it feeling?
25:43Yeah, it feels amazing, especially after what happened a couple of years ago.
25:48That was a bit of a missed opportunity, but we more than made up for it today.
25:52And just so grateful for the team.
25:55They did an amazing job this whole weekend.
25:57We don't really know where this performance came from, but really, really happy.
26:01But from that first lap in Q3, it looks like you've just been so calm and confident with
26:06the package you have.
26:08And the same in the race.
26:09From the first lap to the end, it looked very, very controlled.
26:12Yeah, I mean, Friday was a really tough day for me for many different reasons.
26:15And I wasn't feeling comfortable, but by the time I got to Q3, I felt great in the car.
26:20And that's when it matters.
26:22And obviously, I was a bit nervous at the beginning when I saw Max on the soft.
26:27But that first stint was great from us and extended the gap.
26:31Great.
26:31Max, you started on the soft.
26:33It looked like you were trying to get that jump on George.
26:35It didn't quite work out for you.
26:37And then it looked like quite a kind of a frustrating race for you, quite vocal on the radio.
26:42Yeah.
26:43You know, the track only just got dry.
26:45And starting on the dirty side of the grid, I, yeah, well, we just opted to try something
26:50different because normally if you just cross or pass turn one, you just stay there without anything crazy.
26:56So we tried.
26:57It didn't really work out.
26:58So then the first stint was always about just surviving on the tires, trying to make it long enough to then pit for the hard tire.
27:05I think that worked out.
27:06But unfortunately, I think the whole race was quite difficult, more difficult than I hoped for, for a lot of different reasons.
27:13Let's say like that.
27:14So a few things that we need to understand why these things went wrong today.
27:19But even then, around here, even if you have more pace, you can't pass without anything crazy happening.
27:26So I think for a second was then, yeah, the maximum result.
27:30Great.
27:31Awesome.
27:32Lando, how are you feeling, first of all?
27:34Because I know that this week's not been the easiest for you physically.
27:37Yeah.
27:39Not too bad.
27:40Not too bad.
27:41I could go again.
27:43I mean, it was a tough race.
27:45You know, Max didn't make any mistakes.
27:46But whether I was feeling good or not, I gave it my all today and got close.
27:52A few chances where we were side by side and some good little bits of battling.
27:56But yeah, like I said, just too difficult to overtake, which is a shame because the pace was very strong today.
28:01And I would have loved to.
28:02I've tried to catch George and given him a little bit more pressure, you know.
28:06So I'm happy with today.
28:07I got forward two positions.
28:09We won as a team, the constructors once again.
28:12So I'm most happy about that.
28:13You said you got close to Max.
28:15You actually got very close to Max in turn three and your teammate.
28:19What's your read on T3 of lap one?
28:22Yeah.
28:22I mean, it was slippery.
28:24You know, it was so wet in a lot of places.
28:26But it's racing and I put it on the inside.
28:29I had a small correction.
28:30But yeah, nothing more than that was good racing.
28:33And like I said, I wish I could have given it a little bit more.
28:36I wish there was a few more overtaking opportunities today.
28:38But I felt like I did everything I could today.
28:41And yeah, I'm happy with that.
28:44Congratulations.
28:45Thank you, man.
28:45George, I'll finish with you.
28:47Obviously, a fantastic weekend.
28:49Do you feel that this is a balance of a car that works for you that you can take on to Austin?
28:55I mean, I said it yesterday.
28:57If I were to make a list of all the races I thought we could win at this year,
29:01this would probably be right at the bottom.
29:03So I think we need to sit down tomorrow and Tuesday to sort of understand why the performance was so good.
29:09I hope we can carry this through to the rest of the season.
29:11But I think realistically, Lando looked incredibly fast.
29:14You know, he was within a second of Max the whole race.
29:16And around this circuit, that's not easy.
29:18So we'll take the performance for today, celebrate it.
29:22And I won't think too much about Austin yet.
29:23Great.
29:24Congratulations, guys.
29:25I'll let you go and get a drink.
29:26Cheers.
29:27I think they might need a fair bit of water.
29:31All three of them look like they've been in a race, Martin.
29:34Yeah, absolutely.
29:34It's the tough one.
29:35But yeah, I've had that in long-distance races.
29:37You can't get away from your own body.
29:40It just hurts.
29:41And it just wells up inside you.
29:44And as the adrenaline fades, you kind of don't know what to do with yourself.
29:49You could see that with the drivers who were not actually being interviewed.
29:53Yeah.
29:54Kind of needed to do something else momentarily, didn't they?
29:57They were both breathing.
29:58Both Max and George were breathing quite heavily when Lando was talking.
30:04But it'll take them 15 minutes or so, but then they'll come around.
30:07I tell you who isn't a very happy man, that's our sales horse driver of the day.
30:12I think he's obviously happy about that because he's got the trophy that he wanted halfway through the race.
30:16Fernando Alonso, I've seen a couple of team radio messages.
30:19They're absolutely furious that Lewis Hamilton was driving around for two laps without any brakes after his brakes had gone.
30:26Now, that is going to be investigated by the FIA stewards.
30:31Track limits anyway, not the brakes.
30:33Yeah, but I just wonder, has he got a point?
30:36You know, if Lewis's brakes had gone, was it safe for him to be continuing in the race?
30:40Yeah, you're entitled to cruise home like that, as long as you're not getting in people's way, having people off.
30:46You know, if you, Lewis Hamilton himself won a Grand Prix at Silverstone with a puncture, if you remember.
30:52On three wheels, I don't remember.
30:53On three wheels.
30:55No, you can get it over the line.
30:58There's a lot of people who have come here to see Lewis Capaldi and his brother and Elton John.
31:05Yeah.
31:07I think my gravestone will say, Lewis Capaldi behind you in a grey cap, actually.
31:17But anyway, we'll get over that.
31:20Shall we go to Max Verstappen, who sat down having a rest?
31:28Oh!
31:30Oh!
31:31Oh!
31:32Oh!
31:33Oh!
31:34Oh!
31:35Oh!
31:36Oh!
31:37Oh!
31:38Oh!
31:39Oh!
31:40Oh!
31:41Oh!
31:42Oh!
31:43Yeah, damaged!
31:44I tried to punch you over your left with that little...
31:46Oh!
31:47Oh!
31:48Oh!
31:49Oh!
31:50Oh!
31:51Oh!
31:52Oh!
31:53Oh!
31:54Oh!
31:55Oh!
31:56Oh!
31:57Oh!
31:58Where did you pick that up?
32:00Of Why?
32:01When?
32:02At Why?
32:04I was really overbalanced.
32:06I think it was about a second or half of damage.
32:10World faster?
32:11Yeah.
32:12A little flex at it.
32:15It's always Ferrari.
32:17Whenever they damage, they're always...
32:19They're mint, aren't they?
32:20They're mint.
32:21They're all quite slow today.
32:22Yeah.
32:23Yeah, we'll allwriter at them.
32:24Really?
32:25My Hamilton look like was like 20...
32:26...2015..
32:27Maybe it was a replay, I thought it was live, but I saw it on the TV that I was going into 18 and they were on the start and finish straight, but maybe it was...
32:34The clip was behind Oscar, I think.
32:36Ah, okay, maybe I got that wrong.
32:37Yeah, there's been 25 behind me. There's about 35 behind you.
32:45On Oscar? How close was Oscar?
32:53Picked up damage, cost me about a second difference.
32:56What faster? So George Russell, I love some of these debriefs.
33:01Yeah, they obviously watch a lot of the race on the big screen, so they get a chance, don't they, to see what's going on behind them.
33:08Yeah, it was exactly two seconds, the Piastri behind Norris, 8.1, covered the top four.
33:14And if Piastri hadn't had that slow pit stop that cost him around about five seconds, I think.
33:21Well, he'd have been right in the fight. Whether it had got past, we don't know, because Lando was struggling, Max was struggling.
33:27It is so difficult to pass here, but he would have put a lot of pressure on.
33:30Can you imagine if Lando said yes, let him have that first stop?
33:33And it was the same as Munz, where Oscar got a two-second and he got a five-second or something.
33:40There would have been some fireworks out there then.
33:42Quite.
33:43Lando Norris then onto the podium, securing that podium that his team needed to be Constructors' Champions
33:54and has reduced the championship gap in the drivers' battle for the third consecutive race weekend.
34:01Trails Oscar Piastri now by 22 points.
34:04Max Verstappen, 28th birthday on Tuesday of this week.
34:09It was back-to-back Grand Prix wins and followed it up with a second place here in Singapore.
34:15And George Russell, who's never been on the podium in Singapore before, makes his debut on the top step as your Grand Prix winner today.
34:28And George Russell, who's never seen us, the British and German are still welcome.
34:58Lando Norris, who knows him.
34:59Avoid taken down by 21 minutes at 16.
35:02He Baguens for Cano.
35:03He beat him further towards the beginning of the extreme skating.
