00:00Today, I'm going on 100 years of dates by time traveling back into every decade to experience some of the best and worst dates ever.
00:06I've always wondered what dating was like back in the day, so I'll be going on 10 different dates in 10 different decades.
00:11It'll blow your mind how much dating has changed in 100 years.
00:14And watch to the end because I even took my girlfriend on a date in the future.
00:17But first, let's time travel back to the 1920s.
00:20One of the most important parts about going on a date in the 1920s was opening the door for your lady.
00:25And to make sure these dates are as legit as possible, I hired a professional makeup team to fully transform my girlfriend and I.
00:30We'll be wearing the same clothes, eating the same food, driving the same cars, and so much more.
00:35How do I look?
00:35You look amazing, darling.
00:36Thank you, sir.
00:37Without further ado, let's go on our first dates in the 1920s.
00:40Let's do it.
00:41Let's go.
00:42For the first dates, we're going to be going on a dinner date.
00:45I know what you're thinking.
00:46A dinner date is not very exciting.
00:47Well, in the 1920s, it actually was because that's the first decade that restaurants actually became a thing and people started eating at them.
00:53So going on a dinner date was a very, very special occasion.
00:55Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Derek's Diner.
00:58I'll be your server for today.
01:00What?
01:00Derek.
01:01What would you guys like to eat tonight?
01:02How about like a burger?
01:03You have pizza?
01:04This is the 1920s.
01:04We don't have any of that.
01:05He's right.
01:06The 1920s had some strange food.
01:08A chili meatloaf and a jello salad.
01:10These are two very popular meals that people would order at restaurants in the 1920s.
01:13Time for the big reveal.
01:16Oh!
01:17This is terrifying.
01:18Did they actually eat this in the 1920s?
01:20That's so gross.
01:21Carrots and jello do not go together.
01:23Even though the food was strange, we had to taste it to complete our 1920s experience.
01:29Hannah did not like it.
01:31That was good.
01:32You can have it.
01:32Now it was time for the jello salad.
01:34And cheers.
01:39That's good.
01:39Time to fire.
01:40Up next was a pineapple upside down cake.
01:42Now this looks good.
01:44Oh!
01:45People had way better manners in the 20s than you.
01:47You're not supposed to eat like that.
01:49Not going to lie, pineapple upside down cake was great.
01:51Yummy.
01:51All right, ladies and gentlemen, I got your check here.
01:53Meatloaf, 55 cents.
01:55Jello salad, 10 cents.
01:57Upside down cake, 65 cents.
01:58Which brings your grand total to $1.30.
02:01That's it?
02:02Here you go, sir.
02:03$1.30.
02:04That's so cheap.
02:05Yeah, it's actually time for me to get out of here because I'm not paying.
02:08Wait, what?
02:09Where are you guys going?
02:10Get to pay for this.
02:11It was only $1.30.
02:12What for you in the 1930s?
02:13Hey!
02:14Now it's time to go to the 1930s.
02:24The 1930s look is done.
02:27Oh my gosh.
02:28This dress is so cute.
02:29I feel so old right now.
02:30Me too.
02:30Time to hop in our time travel machine and go to the 1930s in 3, 2, 1.
02:36Welcome to the 1930s.
02:38Why is it darker here?
02:39That's because I am taking you on a drive-in theater movie date.
02:42Really?
02:42I've always wanted to go to one of these.
02:44Well, you're in luck because we are in the 1930s and the first drive-in theater was invented
02:47in 1936.
02:48Wow, that's crazy.
02:49So we hopped in our 1930s classic car and drove for about an hour to the drive-in theater.
02:54So we just got to the drive-in theater and oh my gosh, look at this, guys.
02:58We're just in our car and there is a movie projector screen right in front of us.
03:01Let's do this.
03:02The date was going great, but then...
03:04Popcorn!
03:05Get your popcorn in!
03:06Popcorn right here, soda!
03:07We got everything we need!
03:09Soda popcorn!
03:09Oh!
03:10What are these guys doing?
03:11Get off!
03:12Really?
03:14You dropped everything!
03:15Here!
03:16Are you okay?
03:16All right.
03:17Here.
03:18Thanks, guys.
03:19Enjoy the movie!
03:20Thank you, sir.
03:21Yeah.
03:21Well, in the 1930s, you could actually get delivery service to your car.
03:24People would come and deliver popcorn and soda.
03:27But something tells me they were a little bit more experienced than Derek and Cam.
03:30I would think so.
03:31We were getting settled in, but Derek was at it again.
03:33Can't move!
03:33Derek, what are you doing?
03:35Derek!
03:35Cam, help me!
03:36These guys are ridiculous.
03:38Where's all the color on the screen?
03:39People watch movies like this?
03:41Every single movie was black and white because they had not yet invented colored movies.
03:44So, uh, we're going to enjoy a movie in black and white tonight.
03:47I guess there's a first for everything.
03:48Good then.
03:50Uh, hey, what the?
03:52Wrong!
03:52What are you playing?
03:54Cam literally played my breakup video on the movie screen.
03:56Change it!
03:57I'm trying!
03:57I'm trying to change it!
03:58It's not working!
03:58Give me the room!
03:59Give me the room!
03:59No, one second!
04:00What are you doing?
04:01I'm trying!
04:01I thought we were coming to watch a nice movie.
04:03Is this what we're watching?
04:03Sorry, I was watching my favorite movie.
04:05What?
04:06What?
04:06Come on.
04:07Oh!
04:08Finally!
04:09I got it!
04:09You're welcome!
04:10Oh my God!
04:11Enjoy your movie!
04:11What was that all about?
04:12The boys left, so now we can finally enjoy our movie.
04:15Finally, some peace and quiet.
04:17Oh my God!
04:18Oh my God!
04:22Oh!
04:22Oh!
04:23Oh!
04:24Oh!
04:24To be honest, these guys are more entertaining than the actual movie.
04:27That's true.
04:28Now it's time to go to the 1940s.
04:37The 40s look is done!
04:39We literally do not look like ourselves right now.
04:41So what do you say we go on a little date in the 40s?

08:38I think I'm here I think I'm here I think I made it how did I find it I'm here Hannah is right
08:45upstairs in this house but back in the 50s you couldn't just knock on the door and take a girl

08:52rocks three two one Hannah hannah shh what are you doing I'm here to take you on a date you have to
08:59be quiet my parents are home stay right there I'm gonna get a ladder operation sneak Hannah out
09:06go go go go go go go go go go fast success that's what guys had to go with you in the 1950s to take
09:17their girls on a date. See you in the 1960s. Now it's time to go to the 1960s.
09:29The 60s look is done, bro. Come on, I look so goofy. We're going on a date in the 60s,
09:34you ready? I'm ready. After you. Time traveling in three, two, one. Welcome to the 1960s. Where
09:41are we now? Look behind you. Oh, this is so cute. So we are here out front of a diner because in
09:47the 1960s, going to a diner was the most popular place for a date. If you had a date with a girl,
09:51odds are you took her to a diner. Oh, I'm so excited. Let's do that. All right,
09:55Miss Lady, ready for our diner date? I am. You look pretty good. Thank you. Hands are the same.
10:00Wow. Thanks. You're supposed to be nice on a date. All right, our first meal, fondue. Fondue was
10:06actually one of the most popular meals in the 60s. And it was basically melted cheese that you could
10:10dip stuff into. I like this one. Me too. You're welcome. Now it's time to taste it. Three, two,
10:14one. Hey, ladies first. Oh, sorry. In three, two, one. I don't know if I should have chosen the
10:23broccoli. How is that? It's not very good. But Hannah surprisingly liked it. Hannah. All right. I do.
10:29Next meal, TV dinners. What? TV dinners. What does that mean? These were meals that were extremely fast
10:35to make so people could have less time away from their TV. Give it a try. Here we go. The taste was not the
10:41best, but as you can see, I enjoyed it. He does love corn. We also tried canned vegetables. Back in
10:47the 60s, it was very hard to find fresh vegetables. So the next best option was canned vegetables. Hannah
10:53was not excited about this one, but surprisingly, I liked it. That's disgusting. Honestly, the food in
10:58the 60s is not that good. Let's go to the 70s. I thought it was good. Now it's time to go to the 1970s.
11:1070s. Look, it's done. You like this one, don't you? I do, yeah. I look ridiculous. No, you look good.
11:18Well, mustaches were popular in the 70s, so I'm keeping this on. All right, whatever. Are you ready
11:22for a date? I'm ready. Let's go. I'm traveling to the 1970s in three, two, one. Welcome to the 1970s.
11:30Oh, I'm excited for this one. So in the 1970s, it was very, very popular to go on a baseball date. So a guy
11:35like me would take a girl like you to a baseball game. We'd watch it. We'd have some fun. Wow,
11:39how romantic. All right, so we're on the bleachers, and it's time to watch this baseball game. Wait,
11:43over here. What? We have Team Derek. Yeah! And over here, we have Team Huntington West.
11:54Bro, this cannot end well. This is the perfect game to watch for our baseball day. You already know
11:57who's going to win. It's me. Are you sure? Not quite. Let's get ready. So Derek's pitching,
12:02and the kids are hitting. Let's see what happens. Let's do this. Oh! Oh, Derek! Oh! There's no way
12:08Derek's catching him. I gotta get him on! Derek, you're the only guy on the team. Go, Derek!
12:13He's going around. Catch him, bro. Run faster. Go, Derek! That kid's gone. No! He's literally
12:20hitting the grid. He's going to get a home run. Another home run. Derek! Derek! No way Derek just lost to
12:27a kid in the 1970s. Hot dogs! Eat your hot dogs! Hot dogs right here! You're literally the referee.
12:32There's a whole game going on. Uh, no, I'm actually the hot dog guy. Okay, well, can I buy one? Yeah,
12:37sure! Hot dogs! Hot dogs! Eat your hot dogs! We got it. We got it. How much for a hot dog? 35 cents.
12:42That's it? Bro, nowadays, they're like $10 at baseball games. All right, we've got some coins right here.
12:46See? 35. You know what? I'll give you 40. Wow, thank you so much. I'll pay for my dinner. And this is for you,
12:52my lady. Oh, thank you. And, uh, that's all I got, so we'll just share, right? Yeah, yeah,
12:56that's fine. We got a hot dog for 35 cents. That is so cheap. You know how this goes? Of course I do.
13:02A little romantic moment. Shall we? Three, two, one. Hot dogs! Get your hot dogs! Hot dogs,
13:08hot dogs over here! Stop! I'm trying to sell hot dogs over here, okay? You have a game to ref. Hot
13:12hot dogs over here! Oh! Oh, here it goes! It's in my! He hit it! He hit it! He's running! He's running!
13:18He's running! He's running! They don't even care about the ball! Look at him! Everyone's chasing!
13:23There's like 20 kids chasing him! Holy crap! Go! Go! Go! They don't even care about the ball,
13:30they just want to chase Derek! Oh my... Okay, I gotta help him! I gotta help him. He's gonna tackle! Get up! It's okay.
13:43That was a very entertaining baseball game. Me and Hannah had a great time watching that. You okay?
13:47No. That was pretty entertaining. Now it's time to go to the 1980s.
13:50the 80s look is done your hair is insane so this is a mullet and it became popular in the 80s so
14:04obviously i had to get one and i'd say it looks pretty good i don't know about that i think we're
14:08ready for the 80s time traveling back in three two one we're here in the 1980s why are we in an arcade
14:15surprisingly in the 1980s the arcade was the most popular spot for a date ready to play some games
14:20to it oh my gosh this place is crazy there's so many games here um what what what are you guys doing
14:29here back in the 80s if you were able to get the high score on any machine you were the coolest guy
14:34in town so we're gonna play this game and i'm gonna get a high score for you real quick we'll see how
14:38you do let's go come on come on there's no way i'm losing come on bro this is just a game you're taking
14:48it way too serious you need that high score yeah chill you're not gonna beat my high score dang it
14:52i didn't get the high score it's so sad i may have lost but we could still have some fun in the 80s
14:57before we time travel to the 90s all right guys whoever can win the most tickets in 30 minutes wins
15:01come on come on okay they have a prime stuffed animal in there and i need it i need 72 tickets
15:08already i have no idea oh three tickets come on i need to make sure i'm lined up
15:12run run run run run let's go even though you're my girlfriend i'm not holding back and i'm gonna
15:17beat you in this game come on cam this machine doesn't even give you tickets bro i don't care i
15:26need the prime the goal is to get as many tickets as you can i need it game after game we were chasing
15:33those tickets
15:34and after almost an hour of intense gaming it was time to see the win i won a massive four tickets bro i won 75 tickets
15:52i only won 25 tickets i think it's safe to say that i won this round oh my god how many is that 455 tickets
16:00i want some chase them chase them now it's time to go to the 1990s
16:07the 1990s look is done i don't know if i'd ever wear this outfit but at least my hair is finally
16:20back to normal i need to go to the 1990s and go to date let's do it three two one
16:25welcome to the 1990s hannah oh no not this again not this again oh wait wait hold on what is this
16:36a flip phone and car keys last time i had a rotary phone and a bike this time i have an actual flip
16:41phone and car keys i even have a map to find my date the 90s is looking more promising we finally
16:46have a car and not a freaking bike unlike the 1950s i finally have a car and i have some sort of sense of
16:52direction where i'm going but it's still very challenging i'm trying to find hannah with this
16:56map and let me tell you it's gonna be hard but not as hard as riding around a bike with no map
