00:23Then I'll know .
00:27My full intention was to finish John chapter 16 today,
00:42which is the first of two chapters about Jesus praying for us.
00:46But as I prepared for all this, the world kind of came unglued.
00:51I began to think on a broader scale than just John 16.
00:56How many of you think that things are getting better?
00:58Well, nobody.
00:59Things are getting worse.
01:00I'm glad it's obvious to all of you.
01:02Things are getting worse.
01:03The first time in my lifetime that we've seen a Christian martyr,
01:07Charlie Kirk was obviously a Christian fighting for the development of the kingdom.
01:12And his death brought about huge revival that's going on all over the world,
01:18not just in the United States, which is a good thing.
01:21But it's also a bad thing because there's going to be a revival before the end of days,
01:27before things really get worse.
01:30Jesus told us that in Matthew chapter 7 and chapter 13,
01:36he says,
01:37The end times beware of false prophets.
01:39Starts off that way in chapter 7 and verse 15.
01:43He says,
01:44They come in as people with sheep's clothing on.
01:48He said,
01:48But you're going to know them by their fruits.
01:51That's really the only way you'll know them.
01:54I began to question myself long, long ago when I first started in the ministry.
01:59What's really important to God, and that is people being saved.
02:04And you haven't been a part of helping your children or your grandchildren learn about God
02:10and become faithful in their faith, accepting Jesus as their Savior,
02:17or even just witnessing.
02:19Folks, we've been failing our mission.
02:21He says in that same passage in verse 21,
02:24Which means we as believers have people among us who believe but have never made Jesus their Savior.
02:38They acknowledge that Jesus is the great person that he claims to be,
02:44but they've never surrendered their lives to Jesus.
02:47And he goes on and says,
02:49But he that does the will of my Father,
02:53he that does the will of my Father,
02:54and at the end of Matthew in chapter 28,
02:58he says,
02:58Our job is to go out and preach the gospel,
03:02teach the gospel,
03:03bring people into the kingdom,
03:05and make them believers also,
03:08and disciple them in the way that they should go,
03:12as well as you and I should go.
03:14Jesus left in the second half of John chapter 16,
03:20and said,
03:21I'm leaving,
03:23and in a little while I'm coming back.
03:24And the word used in the Greek is mikron.
03:28That's what a little while is.
03:30And that's a portion of a minute.
03:33And of course,
03:34he's thinking in terms of the infinite length of time
03:37in all of God's kingdom,
03:41in all of God's presence.
03:43And of course,
03:44he was gone on Friday,
03:46and he came back on Sunday.
03:48That's why we celebrate on Sunday,
03:51the resurrection day,
03:52instead of the Sabbath on Saturdays.
03:54But he said,
03:55A little while,
03:56and y'all shall see me no more.
03:58And again,
03:59a little while,
04:00and you will see me.
04:01Now,
04:01oddly enough,
04:02he was talking to his disciples
04:04about his departure on Friday,
04:06and he's coming back on Sunday.
04:09But do you understand,
04:09he's,
04:10in a bigger sense,
04:11he's talking to you and me?
04:12Because he's gone.
04:14He left 33 B.C.,
04:16A.D.
04:17I guess it was just 33.
04:19They didn't have A.D. and B.C. back then.
04:21But he left in 33,
04:23and he's going to come back again.
04:26And it's going to be just to take the church.
04:28And there's going to be a lot of people left behind
04:31because they called him Lord,
04:33but they didn't serve him.
04:35They called him Lord,
04:36but they didn't follow him.
04:37And they called him Lord,
04:39but they never gave their whole hearts and lives to him.
04:44Now,
04:44in chapter 16 of John,
04:45he talks about his departure in 16 through 19.
04:48And then he talks about his return in verse 20.
04:52And he says this,
04:53Verily,
04:53verily,
04:53I say unto you that you shall weep and lament,
04:57but the world shall rejoice.
04:59And you shall be sorrowful,
05:00but your sorrow will be turned to joy.
05:04We're going to go through that,
05:05just like his disciples went through it,
05:07for three days.
05:09The earth has been going through it for 2,000 years.
05:12And he hadn't come back yet.
05:14But you and I both believe he's coming back soon.
05:18How soon?
05:18I don't know.
05:19I saw a news article by a girl named Laura Loomer.
05:23Have you heard of her?
05:25Anybody heard of her?
05:26Okay.
05:27She's an advisor for President Trump.
05:30And you've never heard of her.
05:32She's called the John McCarthy of this age,
05:35because she's pointing out people in the government that are against what Trump is doing.
05:41And he is getting rid of them.
05:42Ever wonder why he's getting rid of so many people?
05:44It's because of her investigation into their background and their grounding,
05:50their foundation.
05:51And she's finding all the people that are corrupt and against him.
05:55She's predicted that,
05:56and I don't know if I agree with her prediction or not,
05:59but I'm going to tell you,
06:01that the Arabs are infiltrating our cities,
06:05filling up certain hotels and places like that,
06:09and becoming proficient in the jobs of the police,
06:16the firemen,
06:17the medicals,
06:18the first responders.
06:19And they're even being,
06:21they're even acquiring all the uniforms and everything that are needed,
06:25so that when the time comes,
06:27they can fake being those people and kill multiple people,
06:34which sounds horrible,
06:35but they're going to do exactly what Jesus said in the first part of chapter 6,
06:40and that is,
06:40they're going to go around killing people thinking they're doing God a service,
06:44in their case,
06:45doing Allah a service,
06:47by getting rid of the people who do believe in Jesus.
06:50After he says in verse 20,
06:52your everlasting joy,
06:54he says in verse 21 and 22,
06:57after he says he's coming back in verse 20,
07:01he talks about the joy will last forever then in verse 21 and 22.
07:06And I'm sure once we are taken off this earth,
07:09our joy will last forever.
07:11But do you understand the people that say they believe and don't act it,
07:16they don't follow the will of God,
07:19are going to be left here to suffer?
07:21And I don't want you to go out and grab everybody that says they're a believer
07:24and shake them real hard and make them confess on the basis of their blood or whatever.
07:30That's not the idea.
07:33But you understand there's a lot of people out there that are not going to be raptured,
07:36who say they believe,
07:38who say they believe.
07:39And they're going to be just as surprised as everybody else
07:42because they're not really committed to the cause of Christ.
07:47Remember the parable of the sower in Matthew 13?
07:50The seeds are sown in four places.
07:55And the wicked one comes and catches the way,
07:59the ones that are sown on the ground,
08:01not on fertile soil,
08:03but by the wayside.
08:05And some of it was received into stony places.
08:09And good fruit doesn't grow out of plants in stony places
08:12because there's no root.
08:15And then some are seed among the thorns.
08:18And plants don't grow real well among the thorns either,
08:22unless you're looking for berries.
08:25But some of it is sown on fertile ground.
08:28That's one-fourth of the seed that were sown.
08:32So three-fourths of the seed that were sown
08:34fell on ground that was not productive.
08:38Not productive.
08:39But I started looking at what was I going to do
08:43to further the kingdom
08:45and started making it a point to evangelize people
08:49and lead people to Christ.
08:51And the Bible says that some of it fell on,
08:55will bring forth a hundredfold,
08:57some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
09:00I don't know if that's his standard or not,
09:02but if he brought forth thirtyfold,
09:04that's a lot when you start to think about it.
09:07I mean, the Billy Grahams, the John MacArthur's,
09:11the Adrian Rogers, the Charles Stanley's,
09:14they had no problem bringing forth hundreds,
09:17even thousands.
09:18And according to what Charlie Kirk did,
09:21maybe millions, I don't know.
09:24But it's time for us to rethink
09:26the reality of we're still here.
09:29We're still here for a reason.
09:31And it's high time you found that reason.
09:34And it's not up to me to tell you the reason.
09:37It's up to God to tell you that reason.
09:39It's up to God to place on your heart the burden
09:42for others to bring into the kingdom.
09:45And if your heart is not burdened that way,
09:47then your heart's on the wrong path.
09:49The Bible says the pathway is narrow.
09:52And you want to be on that narrow path
09:54because broad is the way that leads to destruction.
09:58You want to be on that narrow path
10:00where you know God is guiding you
10:02and leading you from one person to the next
10:05as you go through life.
10:07Jesus said in verse 28 of chapter 16,
10:10He said,
10:11I came from the Father and I'm going back.
10:14And the disciples said,
10:15now we understand.
10:17And in the very next verse,
10:20verse 30, Jesus said,
10:22you only think you do.
10:24You only think you understand.
10:25If you're not acting like you understand,
10:28you don't understand.
10:30And the very next verse,
10:31Jesus said,
10:32you're all going to abandon me.
10:34You're going to turn against me.
10:36You're going to abandon me on the cross.
10:37And indeed they did.
10:39It's time for you to decide
10:40whether you're going to stand next to the cross
10:42and do what God said or not.
10:45You don't have any more time
10:47to make up your mind.
10:49You don't have any more opportunities
10:51to go for the kingdom
10:54in all that you do.
10:55You know,
10:56the one thing that set Charlie Kirk
10:57aside from,
11:00apart from the rest of us
11:01was everything about his life
11:03was defending the gospel,
11:06defending what the truth is
11:08and doing it in front of everybody.
11:12He says in verse 31,
11:15chapter 16 in John,
11:18Jesus doubts that they really know anything.
11:20He's been with them for three years
11:23and they still don't understand
11:26and they don't know they don't understand.
11:29And the hardest person to convince
11:31that they don't know
11:32is someone who does not know
11:34they don't know.
11:35You see,
11:36we all need to find guilt
11:38in our lives
11:40that we don't know.
11:42And that's hard to do.
11:44That's hard for us to do.
11:46I don't know.
11:47I don't know that I don't know.
11:49Lord, enlighten me
11:50because I don't know that I don't know.
11:52Will the hour come
11:53that you abandon him also?
11:56You got to set these decisions up
11:57and make a priority of it in your life
11:59because Jesus said to them,
12:02you really don't know
12:03and you don't even understand yet.
12:05Jesus said,
12:06I came that you could have peace in this world
12:08because tribulation is coming
12:11and it hadn't gotten to the point
12:13where the tribulation is really bad yet.
12:16But the revivals that started
12:17with Charlie Kirk's death
12:19all over the world,
12:21people have realized
12:22that they have been following
12:24the wrong taskmasters for too long.
12:28I've got a friend that's from Great Britain
12:31that lives in Florida
12:32over the internet
12:33and she's mourning
12:36over the events
12:38taking place over there
12:39because the Arabs
12:40are taking over.
12:42And I for one believe
12:43that the Antichrist
12:45is going to be an Arab,
12:47that the 100 million man
12:49marching army
12:50is going to be
12:51a marching army of Arabs
12:52against the nation of Israel.
12:54They already surround Israel
12:56and there are several billion
12:58Islamic believers already.
13:00I don't think China's
13:02going to have anything
13:02to do with it
13:03even though there's more Chinese.
13:06We've got a job
13:07and we can't fail.
13:09We've got a job to do
13:10and it's incumbent upon our lives
13:14to stand up and start doing it.
13:17If we don't,
13:18nobody will.
13:20If we don't stand up
13:21and do what God said to do,
13:23who's he going to send?
13:24If the church doesn't defend
13:27its Lord and Master,
13:29what kind of church is it?
13:30I can't tell you how to do it.
13:32I'm working on my second 30
13:35and I have no idea how to do it
13:38unless God just leads you
13:40by the moment
13:41and you respond
13:43every time he leads.
13:45And God wants to use you.
13:47I know that.
13:48I know within my heart
13:49that he wants to use
13:50every one of you
13:50in a miraculous way.
13:52So I'm going to pray for us
13:54that we open our eyes
13:56and our hearts
13:56and our minds
13:58to God using us
13:59in miraculous ways.
14:01Not just good ways.
14:02Not just great ways.
14:04Miraculous ways
14:05that change us
14:06from the inside out.
14:09So let's pray.
14:10Heavenly Father,
14:11thank you
14:12that you left us behind
14:14for a reason.
14:16And the reality of that is
14:17to be a witness
14:19to the lost world
14:21in which we inhabit.
14:23The world that's only
14:23getting worse.
14:25It's appointed unto man
14:26once to die
14:27and after that
14:28the judgment.
14:30And let our departure
14:31from this earth
14:32be the rapture
14:33of the church
14:33as we bring many
14:35into your kingdom
14:36before we go.
14:38For we ask it all
14:39in Jesus' name.
