00:00As a Jewish person, I was born and bred in Greater Manchester and I'm distraught at the recent events at the Synagogue in Manchester
00:10and distraught about the appalling, ill-reporting, poor journalism and indeed conflation of actions, peaceful actions,
00:22to protest about an appalling genocide, that's not anti-Semitic. In fact, I see it as a Jewish person brought up learning about the Holocaust.
00:32I see it as the absolute opposite. Never again means never again for anyone.
00:38So for me, it's just honouring my upbringing to be here, to call out peacefully the horrors of genocide.
00:47I feel compelled as the daughter of a Holocaust survivor to come here and say that what happened in Manchester is absolutely devastating.
00:57What defend our juries are doing here today is peaceful and dignified and within our democratic rights.
01:04This is not about anti-Semitism, this is about anti-Zionism and the breaching of international law which has been allowed to go unhindered for decades.
