00:00Across a dozen cities, from Rabat to Casablanca, they come out for the seventh consecutive day.
00:09Youth, angered by social inequality, corruption and neglected schools and hospitals,
00:15are calling for health care and education reforms,
00:18and some even for the resignation of the Prime Minister, Aziz Akhanoush.
00:23Today we are demanding what we shouldn't have to ask for in the first place,
00:30but rather should have existed beforehand.
00:33What is happening now is unacceptable from the government.
00:36We shouldn't come out for health and education.
00:40Nationwide discontent over the under-resourced and overcrowded health sector
00:45was further ignited by the recent deaths of eight pregnant women at an Agadir public hospital,
00:52stark proof of a decaying health system.
00:58We have clear, fair and legitimate demands.
01:01We are not asking for anything extraordinary.
01:03We want health care, education and jobs.
01:06We need to find solutions for internships.
01:11The protests were organised by Gen Z212, an internet-savvy youth movement
01:17representing Moroccans born between the late 90s and 2010s.
01:22The group, which mobilised some 170,000 members via the online gaming platform Discord,
01:29surprised authorities with one of the largest demonstrations in Morocco in years.
01:34With the Africa Cup of Nations fast approaching, Morocco has invested $1.7 billion in upgrading its stadiums,
01:43funding which the youth movement insists could have been prioritised for the health and education sectors.
01:49So, thank you for your support, being supported by the event of the county and the youth movement.
01:59So, we're also帶ering the 1500 campus at the start and the year of New York State,
02:02we are fully in the 19th century.
