00:00Let's turn to another running back, and that is Woody Marks of the Houston Texans.
00:04You know, his name was hot a couple of weeks ago.
00:06People were saying, you know, check in on him, see if he's on the waivers,
00:08pick him up now before the breakout happens.
00:11Also, considering where the Texans are overall,
00:14at some point they've got to move on from Nick Chubb.
00:16He's simply not getting it done.
00:18There's no indication that Joe Mixon will be back at any time soon.
00:22Woody Marks broke out last week.
00:24Great performance from him.
00:25Like to see that he's getting it done in the air as well.
00:28I think he should be the running back moving forward for the Texans
00:31for the rest of the season.
00:33Once again, I agree with you.
00:35He's a guy we probably should have seen this coming, and some of us did.
00:39You already said it.
00:40Mixon, we knew he wasn't going to play for a while, right?
00:42Nick Chubb.
00:43I root for Nick Chubb, Tom.
00:44I want him to come back.
00:46I want him to be that guy, but those are nasty injuries he's had.
00:48I don't expect him to ever be that player again, which left us with marks, all right?
00:52Unless you believe in Damian Pierce, which I did not.
00:54So I think we should have seen this coming.
00:56The only thing I worry about, that offensive line is putrid.
01:00I mean, it's damn bad, all right?
01:02So there's not going to be a lot of holes.
01:03So he's got to make up his own holes, be his own blocker at times here.
01:06The good news is that the defense, really, really good.
01:09So they should be theoretically in close games, but he's going to keep running the football.
01:12Bad defense would mean second half to throw in the ball all day
01:14because they're trailing here.
01:16Don't know if I see that.
01:17But only the offensive line worries me about marks.
01:20If he's out there in the way of a fire, which once again, he should not be.
01:23You go out and grab marks.
01:24Right, and if the Texans continue to struggle, part of me thinks that they just try and move Nick Chubb at the deadline.
01:32Some team that's a contender wants a veteran back just to ensure their backfield would be a clear path for marks moving forward,
01:38despite the offensive line inefficiency.
01:40And then let's turn to Marvin Mims, Jr., the wide receiver from the Denver Broncos.
01:46Solid performance from him.
01:47It was really a solid performance from the Broncos offense overall, and really the best game of the season that we saw from Bo Nix.
01:52I will say I am relatively lukewarm to just basically neutral when it comes to Marvin Mims and the Denver offense.
02:01We know what Sean Payton likes to do with the running backs.
02:03Bo Nix is a little bit up and down for a comfortable level of trust for me, and we know that Marvin Mims will never be the dominant option in that passing offense with Cortland Sutton there.
02:15I think if you can get him and you need a little bit of depth, that's certainly fine, but I would not be spending any big, fab budget to go grab him.
02:21Now, I kind of agree with you, all right, because last week at this time, we were talking about Franklin, right?
02:27He was going to be the guy, all right?
02:29And now we're talking about Mims.
02:30The only reason why I might say, hey, you know, maybe we have something here.
02:34Well, they play Philadelphia.
02:35You can throw on Philly.
02:37Then they play the Jets.
02:38You can throw on the Jets.
02:40Then they play the Giants.
02:41You can throw the Giants.
02:42Then you play the Cowboys.
02:44Everybody throws on the Cowboys.
02:45So what I'm trying to say is there's a good run here for them to be able to throw the football here and do damage.
02:51I think he's a guy, Tom, who you might want to grab.
02:54You're going to use him for October, and then by Halloween, you're moving on.
02:57So I think there's a shot there from the play, especially during bye week, Palooza here.
03:02Very fair.
03:02Very fair.
03:03And it's also circumstantial in your league.
03:05Are you starting two wide receivers?
03:06Are you starting three?
03:07Do you have one flex spot, two flex spot?
03:09Take all those things into consideration.
03:11And as George mentioned, obviously, the schedule and the timing of the buys, that's really where you should be maximizing.
03:17And the same thing as we talked about in the opening segment with Kendrick Bourne.
03:20Like, now is the time to strike with Kendrick Bourne.
03:22Because if Purdy comes back, and obviously the on-field connection isn't there, as he has with Mack Jones, Bourne, that is, and then buys change.
03:29Now is the time to strike for Bourne, Mims, some of these secondary or tertiary wide receivers.
