00:00Hey how's it going guys, welcome back to another PS5 video. So we've got a new release of ETA Hen
00:04and Items Flow. ETA Hen version 2.3b has been released by Lightning Mods. Now Lightning Mods
00:11has stated that this is a smaller release, however I wouldn't necessarily say so when you
00:15take a look at all of the additions that have been added in the changelog here. There are lots
00:20of new things added in this version that we're going to cover here in this video, along with of
00:25course a small update as well to Items Flow. So of course ETA Hen if you're unfamiliar it's
00:30essentially the kind of gold hen equivalent on PS5 which gives us access to the jailbreak with
00:36k-stuff allowing us to run our PS5 game dumps on our PS4 fake packages but it also of course has
00:42lots of other useful features built in for jailbroken users. So we're going to go ahead and check this
00:48out here in this video. Now I do have an 8.00 system, one of the main things added in this
00:53version is 8.00 and 8.20 support with k-stuff because of course we got k-stuff released first
00:59for 8.00 and now 8.20 also supported here with k-stuff allowing us to jailbreak and run our PS4
01:05fake packages and game dumps up to firmware 8.20 right now. Now in addition to this we also have
01:12added 8.40, 8.60 and 9.xx toolbox support. It is untested though at the moment but that means that
01:20if it does work when new versions of k-stuff come out we'll be able to essentially run them
01:26alongside ETA Hen with this version. We also have fake package DLC support for your PS4 fake package
01:32games so that your DLC will work on those games. That is included with this new version of k-stuff
01:37that's added in this version and then we also of course have PS5 debug updated to the latest version
01:43as well. Now a lot of the other features we'll go ahead and check out once we actually have
01:47ETA Hen loaded on our system. Now because I'm on 8.00 firmware I'm going to be using the remote
01:53Lua loader to load this same if you were on 8.20. Obviously if you're using you know the web browser
01:59method on older firmwares then the payload should be updated you can just load the browser and then
02:04select ETA Hen to run the latest version. If you're on the blu-ray exploit or the remote Lua loader
02:09you can update the ETA Hen payload via a USB drive and then once you have everything loaded you can
02:15then load the ETA Hen payload off the USB. Both the blu-ray exploit from Victorious X and of course the
02:22its PLK auto loader support loading the payloads off a USB. In my case I'm using the remote Lua loader
02:28so I'm going to use the one from Master S9 here and on the console itself all I'm going to do is run
02:34my Japanese game that's used to load the jailbreak. So when I run this I'll get the remote Lua loader
02:41which gives me the IP address that it's listening on which is 192.168.137.72. So I've got that entered
02:49here in the application port 9026. I can run the PS Lapse exploit which is the jailbreak and you can
02:55see there it loaded successfully. So once that's loaded we can then load our elf loader and that
03:01will load the elf loader on the PS5 as you can see there. That is now running and then finally all I
03:07need to do is load the ETA Hen payload using another payload injector like Netcat GUI. I'll take the
03:13payload, drag it in, enter the IP address and port number and inject the payload and that will get
03:19ETA Hen started on my PS5 here on my 8.00 system. And again this process is the same if you're on
03:25firmware 8.20. Okay so once ETA Hen has started we can go ahead and simply close out of our game
03:32that we use to load the jailbreak and we're now up and running with this latest version of ETA Hen.
03:38So if I go into the settings and scroll down to our ETA Hen toolbox we've got all of the features
03:44added in here. So the first thing that's most obvious is the plugins option has been changed.
03:50So it's now called plugins slash payload elves. This has been changed so that you can now load
03:55regular elf payloads from within the plugins section. Now in previous versions plugins were like a
04:01separate well they were kind of supposed to be like a separate format but they weren't really
04:05they were just elf payloads that had a kind of few extra bytes at the beginning for the title of the
04:11plugin but the file was essentially just an elf file. However the plugins option would not accept
04:16regular elves. Now it will so you can take any normal elf file that you can run as a payload on the
04:22PS5 and add it to ETA Hen so ETA Hen can load it or ETA Hen can also load it on startup just like a
04:29plugin. So regular elf payloads can be added essentially as plugins now to ETA Hen which is
04:35a pretty handy feature that's been included here. So just as an example we can see if I go into my
04:41services settings we do have the FTP server running by default so I'll go ahead and add a payload in
04:48here that we can enable. So for instance if I switch back over to my computer here we've got the PS5
04:54payload dev repo with the web serve payload that can be used to run other types of homebrew applications
04:59and games and various things so I can also download this elf file here for that. So all I've got to do
05:05is connect via FTP so I'll go ahead and open up FileZilla an FTP client on my computer and enter the
05:12PS5's IP address in the host box port number 1337 and quick connect and then if I go into the data
05:18folder and then the ETA Hen folder you can see not only do we have the plugins folder where the normal
05:24.plugins files go we now have a payloads folder as well where you can put the regular elf payloads
05:29so I'll go ahead and open that up and take the web serve payload in here and copy it in. I could do the
05:35same with AirPSX or any other payload that I would want to be able to load within ETA Hen. So with that
05:42now added I can switch back over once again to our PS5 and then if I go into the plugin slash payload
05:49elves you can see it now shows up. Now no version shows up because of course again this is just an
05:54elf file it doesn't have those extra bytes to show the proper title and version number which is what
06:00the .plugin versions would have but it does show up in here and I can just enable it to start running
06:06it directly on the console. Whenever you try to load elf files within ETA Hen it does take a minute for it
06:11to start up but you can of course add it to load automatically when ETA Hen starts so that you
06:17don't have to wait a while to load it like this. So we'll just give it a few extra seconds here for
06:23it to start up and there we go serving HTTP on the localhost colon 8080. We can see the plugin or
06:29elf file has been launched and then I can go into the plugin startup menu and set that to start
06:34automatically whenever ETA Hen loads so that I don't have to load that separately. So that's another
06:39very handy feature that's been added here in this version of ETA Hen and if we check to make sure
06:44that's working I can hop onto the homebrew launcher here and you can see that the web server has started
06:51so I can load my additional homebrew applications and emulators. Now another thing that you'll also see
06:56that is missing in the plugins option is the game error fix plugin that we had in previous versions.
07:03That feature has now been built within ETA Hen itself so it's baked in to ETA Hen so it no longer
07:09requires the plugin so when you load this version if you had that plugin installed previously it will
07:15just delete it so it will no longer show up in the plugins menu because it's not needed anymore it
07:19will automatically apply the error patch. So for instance if I go into my PS5 webman game section
07:25we can see that I do have a game installed here if I try to run that game off the USB
07:31so it says it's launching the game and it is again a PS5 game dump but we no longer get those
07:40universal data registration error messages that would pop up previously and on some games it would
07:45just spam that error message continuously. That's what the plugin was designed to fix but as you can see
07:51those messages are patched out automatically in this version of ETA Hen without having to apply
07:56a separate plugin in order to do so. So that's another feature that's been added there not only
08:01that but the webman game section itself that you can use to launch those games within I believe it
08:07will check those locations that will check the ext directories which are for those m.2 drives or
08:12potentially external drives that are connected so it will now check those for any of your PS5 game dumps
08:18so that those will also appear in here and you can launch them from within here as well whereas
08:22previous versions it would only check the USB drive and the data folder on the internal storage
08:27so that's also been added. Now in addition to that if we go into the settings there's some more options
08:33added in here we have display title ids on the home menu works on retails but will only show if the
08:39toolbox is active so if we go ahead and enable this you can see all of our applications now show the title
08:45ID so that has now been added so this is a feature I definitely appreciate it's just very useful to
08:52see the title ID of your game because different games have different title ids for like the European
08:57version the US version the Japanese version any special editions of games will have a different
09:02title ID so when you're trying to download specific cheats or patches or you know game updates DLC any of
09:09that kind of stuff it's very handy to know exactly what the title ID of the game that you're trying
09:14to install those things on so that you can make sure you get the correct patch or update or whatever
09:18it is for that specific title so it's just handy to be able to see that directly on the home page
09:24here and this feature I believe is already available in test kits or development kit consoles but has
09:30never really been available on retail consoles but ETA Hen has been able to unlock the feature for
09:35retail consoles here which is pretty handy so we head back into the ETA Hen toolbox and go back to our
09:40settings here we do have another feature which is the ETA Hen game options toggles the ETA Hen options
09:46in the game options menu so if we go to one of our games and press the options button you can see we
09:51now have an ETA Hen cheats option at the top which will take you to the cheats that are installed for
09:56that title so you can see all the cheats available here for Black Ops 3 on this particular patch
10:00so that now shows up now it does say that the title is not currently running so you won't be able to
10:07activate any of these cheats unless it's open so it's just really to view the cheats that are
10:12available for a specific game unless you're running that game in which case you can use this menu to
10:16access the cheats and then enable and disable any of the cheats that you want so that's now been added
10:22if you don't like that menu being augmented you can turn that option off as well by going into the
10:28settings and unchecking that box and then from there if you go back and press options you just get the
10:33normal options panel for the title so that is another thing that's been added in there as well
10:38another feature and then if we head back into our settings I think that's most of it we do have an
10:44auto eject on ETA Hen start another feature that's been added there automatically ejects the inserted
10:50disc after ETA Hen fully starts which is useful for BDJ or Lua exploits so yeah for those people who
10:56want to eject the disc once you've loaded the exploit if you don't keep the disc in your console
11:00then you can enable that option so that's another feature added in there now some of the options
11:06here have been shifted around a bit for instance the test kit menu has been moved to the bottom since
11:11it doesn't apply to retails so that one is just way down there at the bottom and then we also have
11:16the debug app jailbreak notification when that is enabled whenever you load any homebrew applications
11:22like if we load the homebrew store for instance and then we'll get the old message that pops up saying
11:29the application with the process id has been granted a jailbreak that is what that notification
11:35is it's just saying that it's been granted a jailbreak so that used to be something that was
11:40on all the time on previous versions of ETA Hen but with this version of ETA Hen it is now an option
11:45that you can toggle on and off so yeah those are the main options all of the obvious stuff there that's
11:51been added here in this particular version of ETA Hen now of course we do have a new version of
11:57items flow as well which you can also add so you can download the latest items flow from the homebrew
12:03store of course on the ps5 itself or you can simply go on your computer to pkg-zone.com and find it in
12:10here in the top app section or over here select items flow game manager and download for ps5 and
12:17then once that is downloaded you can copy that over to a usb drive so just copy it to the root of a usb
12:24and then plug that usb into your ps5 once we're back on the ps5 we can just head back into our
12:31ETA Hen toolbox package installer and we should have the package file showing up here we can select it
12:37to install it and we now have the latest version of items flow installed and of course when we run
12:44it for the first time it will update the plugin so the items flow xml plugin has been installed be
12:50sure to load it via the ETA Hen toolbox before trying to use it so that's now installed an
12:54additional plugin which is just the latest game patch plugin and the xml patches has been added
13:01there so this version of items flow really there's a lot of you know small things that have been
13:06touched up here but the main addition here is simply to the ETA Hen home menu shortcuts which is
13:14of course the ability to add the cheats media shortcut the games media shortcut and the browser media
13:19shortcut so that you can quickly access you know any website you want from shortcuts on the media
13:25section on the home page but there was no way to remove those shortcuts in previous versions
13:29obviously you could do it manually by tweaking the database file but generally there wasn't a quick
13:34and convenient way to remove those shortcuts now there is there's remove games media shortcut we can
13:39select that that will get rid of it and then remove cheats media shortcut and then remove browser media
13:45shortcut and that will get rid of those shortcuts and then if we save settings and exit out you can see
13:52if I go into the media section we no longer have those shortcuts showing up for the web browser the
13:56cheats and the games launcher so honestly I think lightning mods might be being a little bit modest when he
14:02says this is a small update for ETA Hen I mean yes there aren't any huge new features added in this
14:08version but when you look at the change log and you see all of the stuff that's been added here
14:11I think it is a pretty substantial update overall and then of course the last thing as well that has
14:17been added here is the about section has been improved as well with more things so it says support
14:22the project so you've got donation links for lightning mods and then we've also got the ETA Hen credits for
14:28the main developers and all of the contributors and donators and everything all showing up here as well
14:34and then we've got the projects included in ETA Hen so it now shows all of the open and closed source
14:40projects that are used within ETA Hen to give proper you know accreditation to everybody everyone's
14:46project that is being used here so that is another good thing to see inside there as well so yeah that
14:52should pretty much do it for this video the github repo will be linked down in the video description
14:56with the download and the full change log if you want to examine all of the other smaller things that
15:00have also been tweaked and improved here in this version but that's going to do it for me for this
15:05one so hope you guys enjoyed this video or found the information useful if you did please leave a like
15:09and subscribe and once again as always I'll hopefully see you guys in the next one
